  1 H3092 Now Jehoshaphat H6239 had riches H3519 and honour H7230 in abundance H2859 , and joined affinity [H8691]   H256 with Ahab.
  2 H7093 And after H8141 certain years H3381 he went down [H8799]   H256 to Ahab H8111 to Samaria H256 . And Ahab H2076 killed [H8799]   H6629 sheep H1241 and oxen H7230 for him in abundance H5971 , and for the people H5496 that he had with him, and persuaded [H8686]   H5927 him to go up [H8800]   H7433 with him to Ramothgilead H1568  .
  3 H256 And Ahab H4428 king H3478 of Israel H559 said [H8799]   H3092 unto Jehoshaphat H4428 king H3063 of Judah H3212 , Wilt thou go [H8799]   H7433 with me to Ramothgilead H1568   H559 ? And he answered [H8799]   H5971 him, I am as thou art, and my people H5971 as thy people H4421 ; and we will be with thee in the war.
  4 H3092 And Jehoshaphat H559 said [H8799]   H4428 unto the king H3478 of Israel H1875 , Enquire [H8798]   H1697 , I pray thee, at the word H3068 of the LORD H3117 to day.
  5 H4428 Therefore the king H3478 of Israel H6908 gathered together [H8799]   H5030 of prophets H702 four H3967 hundred H376 men H559 , and said [H8799]   H3212 unto them, Shall we go [H8799]   H7433 to Ramothgilead H1568   H4421 to battle H2308 , or shall I forbear [H8799]   H559 ? And they said [H8799]   H5927 , Go up [H8798]   H430 ; for God H5414 will deliver [H8799]   H4428 it into the king's H3027 hand.
  6 H3092 But Jehoshaphat H559 said [H8799]   H5030 , Is there not here a prophet H3068 of the LORD H1875 besides, that we might enquire [H8799]   of him?
  7 H4428 And the king H3478 of Israel H559 said [H8799]   H3092 unto Jehoshaphat H259 , There is yet one H376 man H1875 , by whom we may enquire [H8800]   H3068 of the LORD H8130 : but I hate [H8804]   H5012 him; for he never prophesied [H8693]   H2896 good H3117 unto me, but always H7451 evil H4321 : the same is Micaiah H1121 the son H3229 of Imla H3092 . And Jehoshaphat H559 said [H8799]   H4428 , Let not the king H559 say [H8799]   so.
  8 H4428 And the king H3478 of Israel H7121 called [H8799]   H259 for one H5631 of his officers H559 , and said [H8799]   H4116 , Fetch quickly [H8761]   H4319 Micaiah H1121 the son H3229 of Imla.
  9 H4428 And the king H3478 of Israel H3092 and Jehoshaphat H4428 king H3063 of Judah H3427 sat [H8802]   H376 either H3678 of them on his throne H3847 , clothed [H8794]   H899 in their robes H3427 , and they sat [H8802]   H1637 in a void place H6607 at the entering in H8179 of the gate H8111 of Samaria H5030 ; and all the prophets H5012 prophesied [H8693]   H6440 before them.
  10 H6667 And Zedekiah H1121 the son H3668 of Chenaanah H6213 had made [H8799]   H7161 him horns H1270 of iron H559 , and said [H8799]   H559 , Thus saith [H8804]   H3068 the LORD H5055 , With these thou shalt push [H8762]   H758 Syria H3615 until they be consumed [H8763]  .
  11 H5030 And all the prophets H5012 prophesied [H8737]   H559 so, saying [H8800]   H5927 , Go up [H8798]   H7433 to Ramothgilead H1568   H6743 , and prosper [H8685]   H3068 : for the LORD H5414 shall deliver [H8804]   H3027 it into the hand H4428 of the king.
  12 H4397 And the messenger H1980 that went [H8804]   H7121 to call [H8800]   H4321 Micaiah H1696 spake [H8765]   H559 to him, saying [H8800]   H1697 , Behold, the words H5030 of the prophets H2896 declare good H4428 to the king H259 with one H6310 assent H1697 ; let thy word H259 therefore, I pray thee, be like one H1696 of theirs, and speak [H8765]   H2896 thou good.
  13 H4321 And Micaiah H559 said [H8799]   H3068 , As the LORD H2416 liveth H430 , even what my God H559 saith [H8799]   H1696 , that will I speak [H8762]  .
  14 H935 And when he was come [H8799]   H4428 to the king H4428 , the king H559 said [H8799]   H4318 unto him, Micaiah H3212 , shall we go [H8799]   H7433 to Ramothgilead H1568   H4421 to battle H2308 , or shall I forbear [H8799]   H559 ? And he said [H8799]   H5927 , Go ye up [H8798]   H6743 , and prosper [H8685]   H5414 , and they shall be delivered [H8735]   H3027 into your hand.
  15 H4428 And the king H559 said [H8799]   H6471 to him, How many times H7650 shall I adjure [H8688]   H1696 thee that thou say [H8762]   H571 nothing but the truth H8034 to me in the name H3068 of the LORD?
  16 H559 Then he said [H8799]   H7200 , I did see [H8804]   H3478 all Israel H6327 scattered [H8737]   H2022 upon the mountains H6629 , as sheep H7462 that have no shepherd [H8802]   H3068 : and the LORD H559 said [H8799]   H113 , These have no master H7725 ; let them return [H8799]   H376 therefore every man H1004 to his house H7965 in peace.
  17 H4428 And the king H3478 of Israel H559 said [H8799]   H3092 to Jehoshaphat H559 , Did I not tell [H8804]   H5012 thee that he would not prophesy [H8691]   H2896 good H7451 unto me, but evil?
  18 H559 Again he said [H8799]   H8085 , Therefore hear [H8798]   H1697 the word H3068 of the LORD H7200 ; I saw [H8804]   H3068 the LORD H3427 sitting [H8802]   H3678 upon his throne H6635 , and all the host H8064 of heaven H5975 standing [H8802]   H3225 on his right hand H8040 and on his left.
  19 H3068 And the LORD H559 said [H8799]   H6601 , Who shall entice [H8762]   H256 Ahab H4428 king H3478 of Israel H5927 , that he may go up [H8799]   H5307 and fall [H8799]   H7433 at Ramothgilead H1568   H559 ? And one spake [H8799]   H559 saying [H8802]   H3602 after this manner H559 , and another saying [H8802]   H3602 after that manner.
  20 H3318 Then there came out [H8799]   H7307 a spirit H5975 , and stood [H8799]   H6440 before H3068 the LORD H559 , and said [H8799]   H6601 , I will entice [H8762]   H3068 him. And the LORD H559 said [H8799]   unto him, Wherewith?
  21 H559 And he said [H8799]   H3318 , I will go out [H8799]   H8267 , and be a lying H7307 spirit H6310 in the mouth H5030 of all his prophets H559 . And the LORD said [H8799]   H6601 , Thou shalt entice [H8762]   H3201 him, and thou shalt also prevail [H8799]   H3318 : go out [H8798]   H6213 , and do [H8798]   even so.
  22 H3068 Now therefore, behold, the LORD H5414 hath put [H8804]   H8267 a lying H7307 spirit H6310 in the mouth H5030 of these thy prophets H3068 , and the LORD H1696 hath spoken [H8765]   H7451 evil against thee.
  23 H6667 Then Zedekiah H1121 the son H3668 of Chenaanah H5066 came near [H8799]   H5221 , and smote [H8686]   H4321 Micaiah H3895 upon the cheek H559 , and said [H8799]   H335 , Which H1870 way H5674 went [H8804]   H7307 the Spirit H3068 of the LORD H1696 from me to speak [H8763]   unto thee?
  24 H4321 And Micaiah H559 said [H8799]   H7200 , Behold, thou shalt see [H8802]   H3117 on that day H935 when thou shalt go [H8799]   H2315 into an inner H2315 chamber H2244 to hide [H8736]   thyself.
  25 H4428 Then the king H3478 of Israel H559 said [H8799]   H3947 , Take [H8798]   H4321 ye Micaiah H7725 , and carry him back [H8685]   H526 to Amon H8269 the governor H5892 of the city H3101 , and to Joash H4428 the king's H1121 son;
  26 H559 And say [H8804]   H559 , Thus saith [H8804]   H4428 the king H7760 , Put [H8798]   H1004 this fellow in the prison H3608   H398 , and feed [H8685]   H3899 him with bread H3906 of affliction H4325 and with water H3906 of affliction H7725 , until I return [H8800]   H7965 in peace.
  27 H4321 And Micaiah H559 said [H8799]   H7725 , If thou certainly [H8800]   H7725 return [H8799]   H7965 in peace H3068 , then hath not the LORD H1696 spoken [H8765]   H559 by me. And he said [H8799]   H8085 , Hearken [H8798]   H5971 , all ye people.
  28 H4428 So the king H3478 of Israel H3092 and Jehoshaphat H4428 the king H3063 of Judah H5927 went up [H8799]   H7433 to Ramothgilead H1568  .
  29 H4428 And the king H3478 of Israel H559 said [H8799]   H3092 unto Jehoshaphat H2664 , I will disguise [H8692]   H935 myself, and will go [H8800]   H4421 to the battle H3847 ; but put [H8798]   H899 thou on thy robes H4428 . So the king H3478 of Israel H2664 disguised [H8691]   H935 himself; and they went [H8799]   H4421 to the battle.
  30 H4428 Now the king H758 of Syria H6680 had commanded [H8765]   H8269 the captains H7393 of the chariots H559 that were with him, saying [H8800]   H3898 , Fight [H8735]   H6996 ye not with small H1419 or great H4428 , save only with the king H3478 of Israel.
  31 H8269 And it came to pass, when the captains H7393 of the chariots H7200 saw [H8800]   H3092 Jehoshaphat H559 , that they said [H8804]   H4428 , It is the king H3478 of Israel H5437 . Therefore they compassed about [H8799]   H3898 him to fight [H8736]   H3092 : but Jehoshaphat H2199 cried out [H8799]   H3068 , and the LORD H5826 helped [H8804]   H430 him; and God H5496 moved [H8686]   them to depart from him.
  32 H8269 For it came to pass, that, when the captains H7393 of the chariots H7200 perceived [H8800]   H4428 that it was not the king H3478 of Israel H7725 , they turned back again [H8799]   H310 from pursuing him.
  33 H4900 And a certain man drew [H8804]   H7198 a bow H8537 at a venture H5221 , and smote [H8686]   H4428 the king H3478 of Israel H1694 between the joints H8302 of the harness H559 : therefore he said [H8799]   H7395 to his chariot H376 man H2015 , Turn [H8798]   H3027 thine hand H3318 , that thou mayest carry me out [H8689]   H4264 of the host H2470 ; for I am wounded [H8717]  .
  34 H4421 And the battle H5927 increased [H8799]   H3117 that day H4428 : howbeit the king H3478 of Israel H5975 stayed himself up [H8689]   H4818 in his chariot H5227 against H758 the Syrians H6153 until the even H6256 : and about the time H8121 of the sun H935 going down [H8800]   H4191 he died [H8799]  .
