H4853 The burden H5210 of Nineveh H5612 . The book H2377 of the vision H5151 of Nahum H512 the Elkoshite.
H410 God H7072 is jealous H3068 , and the LORD H5358 revengeth [H8802]   H3068 ; the LORD H5358 revengeth [H8802]   H1167 , and is furious H2534   H3068 ; the LORD H5358 will take vengeance [H8802]   H6862 on his adversaries H5201 , and he reserveth [H8802]   H341 wrath for his enemies [H8802]  .
H3068 The LORD H750 is slow H639 to anger H1419 , and great H3581 in power H5352 , and will not at all [H8763]   H5352 acquit [H8762]   H3068 the wicked : the LORD H1870 hath his way H5492 in the whirlwind H8183 and in the storm H6051 , and the clouds H80 are the dust H7272 of his feet.
H1605 He rebuketh [H8802]   H3220 the sea H2717 , and maketh it dry [H8689]   H3001 , and drieth up [H8762]   H5104 all the rivers H1316 : Bashan H535 languisheth [H8797]   H3760 , and Carmel H6525 , and the flower H3844 of Lebanon H535 languisheth [H8797]  .
H2022 The mountains H7493 quake [H8804]   H1389 at him, and the hills H4127 melt [H8712]   H776 , and the earth H5375 is burned [H8799]   H6440 at his presence H8398 , yea, the world H3427 , and all that dwell [H8802]   therein.
H5975 Who can stand [H8799]   H6440 before H2195 his indignation H6965 ? and who can abide [H8799]   H2740 in the fierceness H639 of his anger H2534 ? his fury H5413 is poured out [H8738]   H784 like fire H6697 , and the rocks H5422 are thrown down [H8738]   by him.
H3068 The LORD H2896 is good H4581 , a strong hold H3117 in the day H6869 of trouble H3045 ; and he knoweth [H8802]   H2620 them that trust [H8802]   in him.
H5674 But with an overrunning [H8802]   H7858 flood H6213 he will make [H8799]   H3617 an utter end H4725 of the place H2822 thereof, and darkness H7291 shall pursue [H8762]   H341 his enemies [H8802]  .
H2803 What do ye imagine [H8762]   H3068 against the LORD H6213 ? he will make [H8802]   H3617 an utter end H6869 : affliction H6965 shall not rise up [H8799]   H6471 the second time.
H5440 For while they be folden together [H8803]   H5518 as thorns H5433 , and while they are drunken [H8803]   H5435 as drunkards H398 , they shall be devoured [H8795]   H7179 as stubble H4392 fully H3002 dry.
H3318 There is one come out [H8804]   H2803 of thee, that imagineth [H8802]   H7451 evil H3068 against the LORD H1100 , a wicked H3289 counsellor [H8802]  .
H559 Thus saith [H8804]   H3068 the LORD H8003 ; Though they be quiet H7227 , and likewise many H1494 , yet thus shall they be cut down [H8738]   H5674 , when he shall pass through [H8804]   H6031 . Though I have afflicted [H8765]   H6031 thee, I will afflict [H8762]   thee no more.
H7665 For now will I break [H8799]   H4132 his yoke H5423 from off thee, and will burst H4147 thy bonds H5423 in sunder [H8762]  .
H3068 And the LORD H6680 hath given a commandment [H8765]   H8034 concerning thee, that no more of thy name H2232 be sown [H8735]   H1004 : out of the house H430 of thy gods H3772 will I cut off [H8686]   H6459 the graven image H4541 and the molten image H7760 : I will make [H8799]   H6913 thy grave H7043 ; for thou art vile [H8804]  .
H2022 Behold upon the mountains H7272 the feet H1319 of him that bringeth good tidings [H8764]   H8085 , that publisheth [H8688]   H7965 peace H3063 ! O Judah H2287 , keep [H8798]   H2282 thy solemn feasts H7999 , perform [H8761]   H5088 thy vows H1100 : for the wicked H3254 shall no more [H8686]   H5674 pass through [H8800]   H3772 thee; he is utterly cut off [H8738]  .
ERV(i) 1 The burden of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite. 2 The LORD is a jealous God and avengeth; the LORD avengeth and is full of wrath; the LORD taketh vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth [wrath] for his enemies. 3 The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means clear [the guilty]: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. 4 He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth. 5 The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt; and the earth is upheaved at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein. 6 Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken asunder by him. 7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that put their trust in him. 8 But with an overrunning flood he will make a full end of the place thereof, and will pursue his enemies into darkness. 9 What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make a full end: affliction shall not rise up the second time. 10 For though they be like tangled thorns, told be drenched as it were in their drink, they shall be devoured utterly as dry stubble. 11 There is one gone forth out of thee, that imagineth evil against the LORD, that counselleth wickedness. 12 Thus saith the LORD: Though they be in full strength, and likewise many, even so shall they be cut down, and he shall pass away. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more. 13 And now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder. 14 And the LORD hath given commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image; I will make thy grave; for thou art vile. 15 Behold, upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! Keep thy feasts, O Judah, perform thy vows: for the wicked one shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.
