John 21:20-25

Riverside(i) 20 Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved, following. (It was he who at the supper had leaned on Jesus' breast and said, "Lord, who is it that will betray you? ") 21 Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, "Master, what shall this man do?" 22 Jesus said to him, "If I choose to have him stay until I come, what is that to you? You must follow me." 23 So the report went out among the brethren that that disciple was not to die. But Jesus did not say to Peter that he would not die, but, "If I choose to have him stay until I come, what is that to you?" 24 This is the disciple who witnesses to these things and who wrote these things, and we know that his testimony is true. 25 There are also many other things that Jesus did, but if these are written, every one, I do not think that the world itself will have room for the books when written.
