Să audă gemete dimineaţa, şi strigăte de război la amiază! 17 De ce n'am fost omorît în pîntecele mamei, ca să-mi fi fost ea mormîntul meu!`` De ce n'a rămas ea vecinic însărcinată cu mine? 18 Pentruce am ieşit din pîntecele mamei ca să văd numai suferinţă şi durere, şi să-mi isprăvesc zilele în ruşine?
Ukrainian(i) 14 Проклятий той день, коли я народився, день, коли породила мене моя мати, хай благословенний не буде! 15 Проклятий той муж, який сповістив мого батька, говорячи: Народилось тобі дитя-хлопець, а тим справді потішив його! 16 І бодай стався муж той, немов ті міста, що Господь зруйнував й не пожалував їх, і нехай чує крик він уранці, а лемент військовий у часі полудня, 17 за те, що в утробі мене не забив, і тоді була б стала мені моя мати за гріб мій, а утроба її вагітною навіки була б!... 18 Чого то з утроби я вийшов, щоб бачити клопіт й скорботу, і нащо кінчаються в соромі ці мої дні?...
