Засоромивсь Хамаш та Арпад, бо злу звістку почули; в неспокої тривожнім вони, як те море, що не може вспокоїтись. 24 Дамаск сторопів, обернувся втікати, і страх його міцно охопив, біль та муки його обгорнули, немов породіллю... 25 Як спорожніло славне це місто, місто втіхи Моєї! 26 Тому юнаки його падати будуть на площах його, і всі військові погинуть того дня, говорить Господь Саваот. 27 І під муром Дамаску огонь запалю, і він пожере Бен-Гададські палаци!...
