2 Chronicles 6:20-42 That thine eyes may be open upon this house day and night, upon the place of which thou hast said that thou wouldest put thy name there; to hearken to the prayer which thy servant prayeth toward this place.

21 H8085 [H8804] Hearken H8469 therefore to the supplications H5650 of thy servant, H5971 and of thy people H3478 Israel, H6419 [H8691] which they shall make H4725 toward this place: H8085 [H8799] hear H3427 [H8800] thou from thy dwelling H4725 place, H8064 even from heaven; H8085 [H8804] and when thou hearest, H5545 [H8804] forgive.

22 H376 If a man H2398 [H8799] shall sin H7453 against his neighbour, H423 and an oath H5375 [H8804] be laid H422 [H8687] upon him to make him swear, H423 and the oath H935 [H8804] shall come H6440 at the face of H4196 thy altar H1004 in this house;

23 H8085 [H8799] Then hear H8064 thou from heaven, H6213 [H8804] and do, H8199 [H8804] and judge H5650 thy servants, H7725 [H8687] by punishing H7563 the wicked, H5414 [H8800] by recompensing H1870 his way H7218 upon his own head; H6663 [H8687] and by justifying H6662 the righteous, H5414 [H8800] by giving H6666 him according to his righteousness.

24 H5971 And if thy people H3478 Israel H5062 [H8735] are defeated H6440 by H341 [H8802] the enemy, H2398 [H8799] because they have sinned H7725 [H8804] against thee; and shall return H3034 [H8689] and confess H8034 thy name, H6419 [H8694] and pray H2603 [H8694] and ask for favour H6440 at the face of H1004 thee in this house;

25 H8085 [H8799] Then hear H8064 thou from the heavens, H5545 [H8804] and forgive H2403 the sin H5971 of thy people H3478 Israel, H7725 [H8689] and bring them again H127 to the soil H5414 [H8804] which thou gavest H1 to them and to their fathers.

26 H8064 When the heaven H6113 [H8736] is shut up, H4306 and there is no rain, H2398 [H8799] because they have sinned H6419 [H8694] against thee; yet if they pray H4725 toward this place, H3034 [H8689] and confess H8034 thy name, H7725 [H8799] and turn H2403 from their sin, H6031 [H8686] when thou dost afflict them;

27 H8085 [H8799] Then hear H8064 thou from heaven, H5545 [H8804] and forgive H2403 the sin H5650 of thy servants, H5971 and of thy people H3478 Israel, H3384 [H8686] when thou hast taught H2896 them the good H1870 way, H3212 [H8799] in which they should walk; H5414 [H8804] and send H4306 rain H776 upon thy land, H5414 [H8804] which thou hast given H5971 to thy people H5159 for an inheritance.

28 H7458 If there shall be famine H776 in the land, H1698 if there be pestilence, H7711 if there be blighting, H3420 or mildew, H697 locusts, H2625 or caterpillers; H341 [H8802] if their enemies H6887 [H8686] shall besiege H8179 them in the cities H776 of their land; H5061 whatever plague H4245 or whatever sickness there be:

29 H8605 Then whatever prayer H8467 or whatever supplication H120 shall be made by any man, H5971 or by all the people H3478 of Israel, H376 when every one H3045 [H8799] shall know H5061 his own plague H4341 and his own grief, H6566 [H8804] and shall spread forth H3709 his palms H1004 in this house:

30 H8085 [H8799] Then hear H8064 thou from heaven H3427 [H8800] thy dwelling H4349 place, H5545 [H8804] and forgive, H5414 [H8804] and render H376 to every man H1870 according to all his ways, H3824 whose heart H3045 [H8799] thou knowest; H3045 [H8804] (for thou only knowest H3824 the hearts H1121 of the sons H120 of men:)

31 H3372 [H8799] That they may fear H3212 [H8800] thee, to walk H1870 in thy ways, H3117 so long as H2416 H6440 they live H127 in the soil H5414 [H8804] which thou gavest H1 to our fathers.

32 H5237 Moreover concerning the foreigner, H5971 who is not of thy people H3478 Israel, H935 [H8804] but hath come H7350 from a distant H776 land H1419 for thy great H8034 name's H2389 sake, and thy mighty H3027 hand, H5186 [H8803] and thy outstretched H2220 arm; H935 [H8804] if they come H6419 [H8694] and pray H1004 in this house;

33 H8085 [H8799] Then hear H8064 thou from the heavens, H3427 [H8800] even from thy dwelling H4349 place, H6213 [H8804] and do H5237 according to all that the foreigner H7121 [H8799] calleth H5971 to thee for; that all people H776 of the earth H3045 [H8799] may know H8034 thy name, H3372 [H8800] and fear H5971 thee, as do thy people H3478 Israel, H3045 [H8800] and may know H1004 that this house H1129 [H8804] which I have built H7121 [H8738] is called H8034 by thy name.

34 H5971 If thy people H3318 [H8799] go out H4421 to war H341 [H8802] against their enemies H1870 by the way H7971 [H8799] that thou shalt send H6419 [H8694] them, and they pray H1870 to thee toward H5892 this city H977 [H8804] which thou hast chosen, H1004 and the house H1129 [H8804] which I have built H8034 for thy name;

35 H8085 [H8804] Then hear H8064 thou from the heavens H8605 their prayer H8467 and their supplication, H6213 [H8804] and maintain H4941 their cause.

36 H2398 [H8799] If they sin H120 against thee, (for there is no man H2398 [H8799] who sinneth H599 [H8804] not,) and thou be angry H5414 [H8804] with them, and give H6440 them over at the face of H341 [H8802] their enemies, H7617 [H8804] and they carry them away H7617 [H8802] captives H776 to a land H7350 far off H7138 or near;

37 H7725 [H8689] Yet if they turn back H3824 in their hearts H776 in the land H7617 [H8738] where they are carried captive, H7725 [H8804] and turn H2603 [H8694] and ask for favour H776 from thee in the land H7628 of their captivity, H559 [H8800] saying, H2398 [H8804] We have sinned, H5753 [H8689] we have done crookedly, H7561 [H8804] and have dealt wickedly;

38 H7725 [H8804] If they return H3820 to thee with all their heart H5315 and with all their breath H776 in the land H7628 of their captivity, H7617 [H8804] where they have carried them captives, H6419 [H8694] and pray H1870 toward H776 their land, H5414 [H8804] which thou gavest H1 to their fathers, H5892 and toward the city H977 [H8804] which thou hast chosen, H1004 and toward the house H1129 [H8804] which I have built H8034 for thy name:

39 H8085 [H8804] Then hear H8064 thou from the heavens, H3427 [H8800] even from thy dwelling H4349 place, H8605 their prayer H8467 and their supplications, H6213 [H8804] and maintain H4941 their cause, H5545 [H8804] and forgive H5971 thy people H2398 [H8804] who have sinned against thee.

40 H430 Now, my God, H5869 let, I beseech thee, thine eyes H6605 [H8803] be open, H241 and let thine ears H7183 be attentive H8605 to the prayer H4725 that is made in this place.

41 H6965 [H8798] Now therefore arise, H3068 O LORD H430 God, H5118 into thy resting H727 place, thou, and the ark H5797 of thy strength: H3548 let thy priests, H3068 O LORD H430 God, H3847 [H8799] be clothed H8668 with salvation, H2623 and let thy saints H8055 [H8799] rejoice H2896 in goodness.
