  11 H1980 וילך went H3316 יפתח Then Jephthah H5973 עם with H2205 זקני the elders H1568 גלעד of Gilead, H7760 וישׂימו made H5971 העם and the people H853 אותו   H5921 עליהם over H7218 לראשׁ him head H7101 ולקצין and captain H1696 וידבר uttered H3316 יפתח them: and Jephthah H853 את   H3605 כל all H1697 דבריו his words H6440 לפני before H3068 יהוה the LORD H4709 במצפה׃ in Mizpeh.

  34 H935 ויבא came H3316 יפתח And Jephthah H4709 המצפה to Mizpeh H413 אל unto H1004 ביתו his house, H2009 והנה and, behold, H1323 בתו his daughter H3318 יצאת came out H7125 לקראתו to meet H8596 בתפים him with timbrels H4246 ובמחלות and with dances: H7535 ורק   H1931 היא and she H3173 יחידה only child; H369 אין her he had neither H4480 לו ממנו beside H1121 בן son H176 או nor H1323 בת׃ daughter.

H559 ויאמרו Then said H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H1696 דברו Tell H349 איכה how H1961 נהיתה was H7451 הרעה wickedness? H2063 הזאת׃ this

  1 H376 ואישׁ Now the men H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H7650 נשׁבע had sworn H4709 במצפה in Mizpeh, H559 לאמר saying, H376 אישׁ any H4480 ממנו of H3808 לא There shall not H5414 יתן us give H1323 בתו his daughter H1144 לבנימן unto Benjamin H802 לאשׁה׃ to wife.

  5 H559 ויאמרו said, H1121 בני And the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H4310 מי Who H834 אשׁר that H3808 לא came not up H5927 עלה came not up H6951 בקהל with the congregation H3605 מכל among all H7626 שׁבטי the tribes H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H413 אל unto H3068 יהוה the LORD? H3588 כי For H7621 השׁבועה oath H1419 הגדולה a great H1961 היתה they had made H834 לאשׁר concerning H3808 לא him that came not up H5927 עלה him that came not up H413 אל to H3068 יהוה the LORD H4709 המצפה to Mizpeh, H559 לאמר saying, H4191 מות   H4191 יומת׃  

  8 H559 ויאמרו And they said, H4310 מי What H259 אחד one H7626 משׁבטי of the tribes H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H834 אשׁר that H3808 לא came not up H5927 עלה came not up H413 אל to H3068 יהוה the LORD? H4709 המצפה to Mizpeh H2009 והנה And, behold, H3808 לא none H935 בא there came H376 אישׁ none H413 אל to H4264 המחנה the camp H3003 מיבישׁ   H1568 גלעד   H413 אל to H6951 הקהל׃ the assembly.

  5 H559 ויאמר said, H8050 שׁמואל And Samuel H6908 קבצו Gather H853 את   H3605 כל all H3478 ישׂראל Israel H4709 המצפתה to Mizpeh, H6419 ואתפלל and I will pray H1157 בעדכם for H413 אל you unto H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.

  6 H6908 ויקבצו And they gathered together H4709 המצפתה to Mizpeh, H7579 וישׁאבו and drew H4325 מים water, H8210 וישׁפכו and poured out H6440 לפני before H3068 יהוה the LORD, H6684 ויצומו and fasted H3117 ביום day, H1931 ההוא on that H559 ויאמרו and said H8033 שׁם there, H2398 חטאנו We have sinned H3068 ליהוה against the LORD. H8199 וישׁפט judged H8050 שׁמואל And Samuel H853 את   H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H4709 במצפה׃ in Mizpeh.

  7 H8085 וישׁמעו heard H6430 פלשׁתים And when the Philistines H3588 כי that H6908 התקבצו were gathered together H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H4709 המצפתה to Mizpeh, H5927 ויעלו went up H5633 סרני the lords H6430 פלשׁתים of the Philistines H413 אל against H3478 ישׂראל Israel. H8085 וישׁמעו heard H1121 בני And when the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H3372 ויראו they were afraid H6440 מפני of H6430 פלשׁתים׃ the Philistines.

  11 H3318 ויצאו went out H582 אנשׁי   H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H4480 מן of H4709 המצפה Mizpeh, H7291 וירדפו and pursued H853 את   H6430 פלשׁתים the Philistines, H5221 ויכום and smote H5704 עד them, until H8478 מתחת under H1033 לבית כר׃ Beth-car.

  12 H3947 ויקח took H8050 שׁמואל Then Samuel H68 אבן stone, H259 אחת a H7760 וישׂם and set H996 בין between H4709 המצפה Mizpeh H996 ובין   H8129 השׁן and Shen, H7121 ויקרא and called H853 את   H8034 שׁמה the name H72 אבן העזר of it Ebenezer, H559 ויאמר saying, H5704 עד   H2008 הנה   H5826 עזרנו helped H3068 יהוה׃ hath the LORD

  16 H1980 והלך And he went H1767 מדי from H8141 שׁנה year H8141 בשׁנה to year H5437 וסבב in circuit H1008 בית אל to Bethel, H1537 והגלגל and Gilgal, H4709 והמצפה and Mizpeh, H8199 ושׁפט and judged H853 את   H3478 ישׂראל Israel H853 את   H3605 כל all H4725 המקומות places. H428 האלה׃ those

  17 H6817 ויצעק   H8050 שׁמואל And Samuel H853 את   H5971 העם   H413 אל unto H3068 יהוה the LORD H4709 המצפה׃ to Mizpeh;

  22 H4428 והמלך Then king H609 אסא Asa H8085 השׁמיע made a proclamation H853 את   H3605 כל throughout all H3063 יהודה Judah; H369 אין none H5355 נקי exempted: H5375 וישׂאו and they took away H853 את   H68 אבני the stones H7414 הרמה of Ramah, H853 ואת   H6086 עציה and the timber H834 אשׁר thereof, wherewith H1129 בנה had built; H1201 בעשׁא Baasha H1129 ויבן built H4428 בם המלך and king H609 אסא Asa H853 את   H1387 גבע with them Geba H1144 בנימן of Benjamin, H853 ואת   H4709 המצפה׃ and Mizpah.

  23 H8085 וישׁמעו heard H3605 כל And when all H8269 שׂרי the captains H2428 החילים of the armies, H1992 המה they H376 והאנשׁים and their men, H3588 כי that H6485 הפקיד governor, H4428 מלך the king H894 בבל of Babylon H853 את   H1436 גדליהו had made Gedaliah H935 ויבאו there came H413 אל to H1436 גדליהו Gedaliah H4709 המצפה to Mizpah, H3458 וישׁמעאל even Ishmael H1121 בן the son H5418 נתניה of Nethaniah, H3110 ויוחנן and Johanan H1121 בן the son H7143 קרח of Careah, H8304 ושׂריה and Seraiah H1121 בן the son H8576 תנחמת of Tanhumeth H5200 הנטפתי the Netophathite, H2970 ויאזניהו and Jaazaniah H1121 בן the son H4602 המעכתי of a Maachathite, H1992 המה they H376 ואנשׁיהם׃ and their men.

  25 H1961 ויהי But it came to pass H2320 בחדשׁ month, H7637 השׁביעי in the seventh H935 בא came, H3458 ישׁמעאל that Ishmael H1121 בן the son H5418 נתניה of Nethaniah, H1121 בן the son H476 אלישׁמע of Elishama, H2233 מזרע of the seed H4410 המלוכה royal, H6235 ועשׂרה and ten H376 אנשׁים men H854 אתו with H5221 ויכו him, and smote H853 את   H1436 גדליהו Gedaliah, H4191 וימת that he died, H853 ואת   H3064 היהודים and the Jews H853 ואת   H3778 הכשׂדים and the Chaldees H834 אשׁר that H1961 היו were H854 אתו with H4709 במצפה׃ him at Mizpah.

  6 H609 ואסא Then Asa H4428 המלך the king H3947 לקח took H853 את   H3605 כל all H3063 יהודה Judah; H5375 וישׂאו and they carried away H853 את   H68 אבני the stones H7414 הרמה of Ramah, H853 ואת   H6086 עציה and the timber H834 אשׁר thereof, wherewith H1129 בנה was building; H1201 בעשׁא Baasha H1129 ויבן and he built H853 בהם את   H1387 גבע therewith Geba H853 ואת   H4709 המצפה׃ and Mizpah.

  7 H5921 ועל unto H3027 ידם And next H2388 החזיק them repaired H4424 מלטיה Melatiah H1393 הגבעני the Gibeonite, H3036 וידון and Jadon H4824 המרנתי the Meronothite, H376 אנשׁי the men H1391 גבעון of Gibeon, H4709 והמצפה and of Mizpah, H3678 לכסא unto the throne H6346 פחת of the governor H5676 עבר on this side H5104 הנהר׃ the river.

  15 H853 ואת   H8179 שׁער But the gate H5869 העין of the fountain H2388 החזיק repaired H7968 שׁלון Shallun H1121 בן the son H3626 כל חזה of Col-hozeh, H8269 שׂר the ruler H6418 פלך of part H4709 המצפה of Mizpah; H1931 הוא he H1129 יבננו built H2926 ויטללנו it, and covered H5975 ויעמידו it, and set up H1817 דלתתיו the doors H4514 מנעליו thereof, the locks H1280 ובריחיו thereof, and the bars H853 ואת   H2346 חומת thereof, and the wall H1295 ברכת of the pool H7975 השׁלח of Siloah H1588 לגן garden, H4428 המלך by the king's H5704 ועד and unto H4609 המעלות the stairs H3381 היורדות that go down H5892 מעיר from the city H1732 דויד׃ of David.

  19 H2388 ויחזק him repaired H5921 על to H3027 ידו And next H5829 עזר Ezer H1121 בן the son H3442 ישׁוע of Jeshua, H8269 שׂר the ruler H4709 המצפה of Mizpah, H4060 מדה piece H8145 שׁנית another H5048 מנגד over against H5927 עלת the going up H5402 הנשׁק to the armory H4740 המקצע׃ at the turning

  10 H589 ואני As for me, H2005 הנני   H3427 ישׁב I will dwell H4709 במצפה at Mizpah H5975 לעמד to serve H6440 לפני to serve H3778 הכשׂדים the Chaldeans, H834 אשׁר which H935 יבאו will come H413 אלינו unto H859 ואתם us: but ye, H622 אספו gather H3196 יין ye wine, H7019 וקיץ and summer fruits, H8081 ושׁמן and oil, H7760 ושׂמו and put H3627 בכליכם in your vessels, H3427 ושׁבו and dwell H5892 בעריכם in your cities H834 אשׁר that H8610 תפשׂתם׃ ye have taken.

  15 H3110 ויוחנן Then Johanan H1121 בן the son H7143 קרח of Kareah H559 אמר spoke H413 אל to H1436 גדליהו Gedaliah H5643 בסתר secretly, H4709 במצפה in Mizpah H559 לאמר saying, H1980 אלכה Let me go, H4994 נא I pray thee, H5221 ואכה and I will slay H853 את   H3458 ישׁמעאל Ishmael H1121 בן the son H5418 נתניה of Nethaniah, H376 ואישׁ man H3808 לא and no H3045 ידע shall know H4100 למה wherefore H5221 יככה should he slay H5315 נפשׁ should he slay H6327 ונפצו thee should be scattered, H3605 כל thee, that all H3064 יהודה   H6908 הנקבצים which are gathered H413 אליך unto H6 ואבדה perish? H7611 שׁארית and the remnant H3063 יהודה׃ the Jews

  1 H1961 ויהי Now it came to pass H2320 בחדשׁ month, H7637 השׁביעי in the seventh H935 בא him, came H3458 ישׁמעאל Ishmael H1121 בן the son H5418 נתניה of Nethaniah H1121 בן the son H476 אלישׁמע of Elishama, H2233 מזרע of the seed H4410 המלוכה royal, H7227 ורבי and the princes H4428 המלך of the king, H6235 ועשׂרה even ten H376 אנשׁים men H854 אתו with H413 אל unto H1436 גדליהו Gedaliah H1121 בן the son H296 אחיקם of Ahikam H4709 המצפתה in Mizpah. H398 ויאכלו they did eat H8033 שׁם and there H3899 לחם bread H3162 יחדו together H4709 במצפה׃  

  3 H853 ואת   H3605 כל all H3064 היהודים the Jews H834 אשׁר that H1961 היו were H854 אתו with H854 את him, with H1436 גדליהו Gedaliah, H4709 במצפה at Mizpah, H853 ואת   H3778 הכשׂדים and the Chaldeans H834 אשׁר that H4672 נמצאו were found H8033 שׁם there, H853 את   H582 אנשׁי   H4421 המלחמה of war. H5221 הכה also slew H3458 ישׁמעאל׃ Ishmael

  6 H3318 ויצא went forth H3458 ישׁמעאל And Ishmael H1121 בן the son H5418 נתניה of Nethaniah H7125 לקראתם to meet H4480 מן from H4709 המצפה Mizpah H1980 הלך all along as he went: H1980 הלך all along as he went: H1058 ובכה them, weeping H1961 ויהי and it came to pass, H6298 כפגשׁ as he met H853 אתם   H559 ויאמר them, he said H413 אליהם unto H935 באו them, Come H413 אל to H1436 גדליהו Gedaliah H1121 בן the son H296 אחיקם׃ of Ahikam.

  10 H7617 וישׁב carried away captive H3458 ישׁמעאל Then Ishmael H853 את   H3605 כל all H7611 שׁארית the residue H5971 העם of the people H834 אשׁר that H4709 במצפה in Mizpah, H853 את   H1323 בנות daughters, H4428 המלך the king's H853 ואת   H3605 כל and all H5971 העם the people H7604 הנשׁארים that remained H4709 במצפה in Mizpah, H834 אשׁר whom H6485 הפקיד had committed H5018 נבוזראדן Nebuzaradan H7227 רב the captain H2876 טבחים of the guard H853 את   H1436 גדליהו to Gedaliah H1121 בן the son H296 אחיקם of Ahikam: H7617 וישׁבם carried them away captive, H3458 ישׁמעאל and Ishmael H1121 בן the son H5418 נתניה of Nethaniah H1980 וילך and departed H5674 לעבר to go over H413 אל to H1121 בני   H5983 עמון׃
