  17 H1201 And Baasha H4428 king H3478 of Israel H5927 went H5921 up against H3063 Judah, H1129 and built H7414 Ramah, H5414 that he might not suffer H3318 any to go H935 out or come H609 in to Asa H4428 king H3063 of Judah.

  18 H609 Then Asa H3947 took H3605 all H3701 the silver H2091 and the gold H3498 that were left H214 in the treasures H1004 of the house H3068 of the LORD, H214 and the treasures H4428 of the king’s H1004 house, H5414 and delivered H3027 them into the hand H5650 of his servants: H4428 and king H609 Asa H7971 sent H1130 them to Benhadad, H1121 the son H2886 of Tabrimon, H1121 the son H2383 of Hezion, H4428 king H758 of Syria, H3427 that dwelled H1834 at Damascus, H559 saying,

  19 H1285 There is a league H996 between H996 me and you, and between H1 my father H1 and your father: H2009 behold, H7971 I have sent H7810 to you a present H3701 of silver H2091 and gold; H3212 come H6565 and break H1285 your league H1201 with Baasha H4428 king H3478 of Israel, H5927 that he may depart from me.

  20 H1130 So Benhadad H8085 listened H4428 to king H609 Asa, H7971 and sent H8269 the captains H2428 of the hosts H834 which H5921 he had against H5892 the cities H3478 of Israel, H5221 and smote H5859 Ijon, H1835 and Dan, H62 and Abelbethmaachah, H3605 and all H3672 Cinneroth, H3605 with all H776 the land H5321 of Naphtali.

  21 H1961 And it came H1201 to pass, when Baasha H8085 heard H2308 thereof, that he left H1129 off building H7414 of Ramah, H3427 and dwelled H8656 in Tirzah.

  22 H4428 Then king H609 Asa H8085 made a proclamation H3605 throughout all H3063 Judah; H369 none H5355 was exempted: H5375 and they took H68 away the stones H7414 of Ramah, H6086 and the timber H834 thereof, with which H1201 Baasha H1129 had built; H4428 and king H609 Asa H1129 built H1387 with them Geba H1144 of Benjamin, H4709 and Mizpah.

  23 H3499 The rest H3605 of all H1697 the acts H609 of Asa, H3605 and all H1369 his might, H3605 and all H6213 that he did, H5892 and the cities H834 which H1129 he built, H3789 are they not written H5612 in the book H1697 of the chronicles H3117 H4428 of the kings H3063 of Judah? H7535 Nevertheless H6256 in the time H2209 of his old H2470 age he was diseased H7272 in his feet.

  24 H609 And Asa H7901 slept H1 with his fathers, H6912 and was buried H1 with his fathers H5892 in the city H1732 of David H1 his father: H3092 and Jehoshaphat H1121 his son H4427 reigned H8478 in his stead.
