  16 H4421 And there was war H609 between Asa H1201 and Baasha H4428 king H3478 of Israel H3117 all their days.

  17 H1201 And Baasha H4428 king H3478 of Israel H5927 [H8799] went up H3063 against Judah H1129 [H8799] , and built H7414 Ramah H5414 [H8800] , that he might not allow H3318 [H8802] any to go out H935 [H8802] or come in H609 to Asa H4428 king H3063 of Judah.

  18 H609 Then Asa H3947 [H8799] took H3701 all the silver H2091 and the gold H3498 [H8737] that were left H214 in the treasuries H1004 of the house H3068 of the LORD H214 , and the treasures H4428 of the king's H1004 house H5414 [H8799] , and delivered H3027 them into the hand H5650 of his servants H4428 : and king H609 Asa H7971 [H8799] sent H1130 them to Benhadad H1121 , the son H2886 of Tabrimon H1121 , the son H2383 of Hezion H4428 , king H758 of Syria H3427 [H8802] , that dwelt H1834 at Damascus H559 [H8800] , saying,

  19 H1285 There is a league H1 between me and thee, and between my father H1 and thy father H7971 [H8804] : behold, I have sent H7810 to thee a present H3701 of silver H2091 and gold H3212 [H8798] ; come H6565 [H8685] and break H1285 thy league H1201 with Baasha H4428 king H3478 of Israel H5927 [H8799] , that he may depart from me.

  20 H1130 So Benhadad H8085 [H8799] hearkened H4428 to king H609 Asa H7971 [H8799] , and sent H8269 the captains H2428 of the armies H5892 which he had against the cities H3478 of Israel H5221 [H8686] , and smote H5859 Ijon H1835 , and Dan H62 , and Abelbethmaachah H3672 , and all Cinneroth H776 , with all the land H5321 of Naphtali.

  21 H1201 And it came to pass, when Baasha H8085 [H8800] heard H2308 [H8799] of it, that he stopped H1129 [H8800] building H7414 Ramah H3427 [H8799] , and dwelt H8656 in Tirzah.

  22 H4428 Then king H609 Asa H8085 [H8689] made a proclamation H3063 throughout all Judah H5355 ; none was exempted H5375 [H8799] : and they took H68 away the stones H7414 of Ramah H6086 , and its timber H1201 , with which Baasha H1129 [H8804] had built it H4428 ; and king H609 Asa H1129 [H8799] built H1387 with them Geba H1144 of Benjamin H4709 , and Mizpah.

  23 H3499 The rest H1697 of all the acts H609 of Asa H1369 , and all his might H6213 [H8804] , and all that he did H5892 , and the cities H1129 [H8804] which he built H3789 [H8803] , are they not written H5612 in the book H1697 H3117 of the chronicles H4428 of the kings H3063 of Judah H6256 ? Nevertheless in the time H2209 of his old age H2470 [H8804] he was diseased H7272 in his feet.

  24 H609 And Asa H7901 [H8799] slept H1 with his fathers H6912 [H8735] , and was buried H1 with his fathers H5892 in the city H1732 of David H1 his father H3092 : and Jehoshaphat H1121 his son H4427 [H8799] reigned in his stead.
