Deuteronomy 2:26-37 And I sent messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemoth to Sihon king of Heshbon with words of peace, saying,

26 H7971 And I sent H4397 messengers H4057 out of the wilderness H6932 of Kedemoth H5511 to Sihon H4428 king H2809 of Heshbon H1697 with words H7965 of peace, H559 saying,

27 H5674 Let me pass H776 through your land: H3212 I will go H1870 along by the high H1870 way, H3808 I will neither H5493 turn H3225 to the right H3225 hand H8040 nor to the left.

28 H7666 You shall sell H400 me meat H3701 for money, H398 that I may eat; H5414 and give H4325 me water H3701 for money, H8354 that I may drink: H7535 only H5674 I will pass H5921 through on H7272 my feet;

29 H1121 (As the children H6215 of Esau H3427 which dwell H8165 in Seir, H4125 and the Moabites H3427 which dwell H6144 in Ar, H6213 did H5704 to me;) until H5674 I shall pass H5674 over H3383 Jordan H413 into H776 the land H834 which H3068 the LORD H430 our God H5414 gives us.

30 H5511 But Sihon H4428 king H2809 of Heshbon H14 would H5674 not let us pass H3068 by him: for the LORD H430 your God H7185 hardened H7307 his spirit, H3824 and made his heart H553 obstinate, H5414 that he might deliver H3027 him into your hand, H2088 as appears this H3117 day.

31 H3068 And the LORD H559 said H7200 to me, Behold, H2490 I have begun H5414 to give H5511 Sihon H776 and his land H6440 before H2490 you: begin H3423 to possess, H3423 that you may inherit H776 his land.

32 H5511 Then Sihon H3318 came H7125 out against H3605 us, he and all H5971 his people, H4421 to fight H3096 at Jahaz.

33 H3068 And the LORD H430 our God H5414 delivered H6440 him before H5221 us; and we smote H1121 him, and his sons, H3605 and all H5971 his people.

34 H3920 And we took H3605 all H5892 his cities H6256 at that time, H2763 and utterly destroyed H4962 the men, H802 and the women, H2945 and the little H3605 ones, of every H5892 city, H7604 we left H3808 none H8300 to remain:

35 H7535 Only H929 the cattle H962 we took for a prey H7998 to ourselves, and the spoil H5892 of the cities H834 which H3920 we took.

36 H6177 From Aroer, H834 which H8193 is by the brink H5158 of the river H769 of Arnon, H5892 and from the city H5158 that is by the river, H1568 even to Gilead, H7151 there was not one city H7682 too strong H3068 for us: the LORD H430 our God H5414 delivered H3605 all to us:

37 H7535 Only H776 to the land H1121 of the children H5983 of Ammon H7126 you came H3605 not, nor to any H3027 place H5158 of the river H2999 Jabbok, H5892 nor to the cities H2022 in the mountains, H3605 nor to whatever H3068 the LORD H430 our God H6680 forbade us.
