Luke 16 And he said also unto the disciples, There was a certain rich man, who had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he was wasting his goods.

1 G1161 And G3004 he said G2532 also G4314 unto G846 the G3101 disciples, G2258 There was G5100 a certain G4145 rich G444 man, G3739 who G2192 had G3623 a steward; G2532 and G3778 the same G1225 was accused G846 unto him G5613 that G1287 he was wasting G846 his G5224 goods.

2 G2532 And G5455 he called G846 him, G2532 and G2036 said G846 unto him, G5124 What is this G191 that I hear G4012 of G4675 thee? G591 render G3056 the account G4675 of thy G3622 stewardship; G1063 for G1410 thou canst be G3756 no G2089 longer G3621 steward.

3 G1161 And G3623 the steward G2036 said G1722 within G1438 himself, G5101 What G4160 shall I do, G3754 seeing G3450 that my G2962 lord G851 taketh away G3622 the stewardship G575 from G1700 me? G2480 I have G2480 not G4626 strength to dig; G1871 to beg G153 I am ashamed.

4 G1097 I am resolved G5101 what G4160 to do, G2443 that, G3752 when G3179 I am put out G3622 of the stewardship, G1209 they may receive G3165 me G1519 into G846 their G3624 houses.

5 G2532 And G4341 calling G1538 to him each G1520 one G1438 of his G2962 lord's G5533 debtors, G3004 he said G4413 to the first, G4214 How much G3784 owest thou G3450 unto my G2962 lord?

6 G1161 And G2036 he said, G1540 A hundred G943 measures G1637 of oil. G2532 And G2036 he said G846 unto him, G1209 Take G4675 thy G1121 bond, G2532 and G2523 sit down G5030 quickly G1125 and write G4004 fifty.

7 G1899 Then G2036 said he G2087 to another, G1161 And G4214 how much G3784 owest G4771 thou? G1161 And G2036 he said, G1540 A hundred G2884 measures G4621 of wheat. G2532 He G3004 saith G846 unto him, G1209 Take G4675 thy G1121 bond, G2532 and G1125 write G3589 fourscore.

8 G2532 And G2962 his lord G1867 commended G93 the unrighteous G3623 steward G3754 because G4160 he had done G5430 wisely: G3754 for G5207 the sons G5127 of this G165 world G1526 are G3754 for G1438 their G1074 own generation G5429 wiser G5228 than G5207 the sons G5457 of the light.

9 G2504 And I G3004 say G5213 unto you, G4160 Make G1438 to yourselves G5384 friends G1537 by G3126 means of the mammon G93 of unrighteousness; G2443 that, G3752 when G1587 it shall fail, G1209 they may receive G5209 you G1519 into G166 the eternal G3126 tabernacles.

10 G3588 He that G4103 is faithful G1722 in G1646 a very little G4103 is faithful G2532 also G1722 in G4183 much: G2532 and G3588 he that G2076 is G94 unrighteous G1722 in G1646 a very little G2076 is G94 unrighteous G2532 also G1722 in G4183 much.

11 G1487 If G3767 therefore G1096 ye have G3756 not G1096 been G4103 faithful G1722 in G94 the unrighteous G3126 mammon, G5101 who G4100 will commit G5213 to your G4100 trust G228 the true riches?

12 G2532 And G1487 if G1096 ye have G3756 not G1096 been G4103 faithful G1722 in G3588 that which G245 is another's, G5101 who G1325 will give G5213 you G3588 that which G5212 is your own?

13 G3762 No G3610 servant G1410 can G1398 serve G1417 two G2962 masters: G1063 for G2228 either G3404 he will hate G1520 the one, G2532 and G25 love G2087 the other; G2228 or else G472 he will hold to G1520 one, G2532 and G2706 despise G2087 the other. G1410 Ye cannot G3756 G1398 serve G2316 God G2532 and G3126 mammon.

14 G1161 And G5330 the Pharisees, G2532 who G5225 were G5366 lovers of money, G191 heard G3956 all G5023 these things; G2532 and G1592 they scoffed G846 at him.

15 G2532 And G2036 he said G846 unto them, G5210 Ye G2075 are G3588 they that G1344 justify G1438 yourselves G1799 in the sight G444 of men; G1161 but G2316 God G1097 knoweth G5216 your G2588 hearts: G3754 for G3588 that which G5308 is exalted G1722 among G444 men G2076 is G946 an abomination G1799 in the sight G2316 of God.

16 G3551 The law G2532 and G4396 the prophets G2193 were until G2491 John: G575 from G5119 that time G932 the gospel of the kingdom G2316 of God G2097 is preached, G2532 and G3956 every man G971 entereth violently G1519 into G846 it.

17 G1161 But G2076 it is G2123 easier G3772 for heaven G2532 and G1093 earth G3928 to pass G2228 away, than G1520 for one G2762 tittle G3551 of the law G4098 to fall.

18 G3956 Every one G630 that putteth away G846 his G1135 wife, G2532 and G1060 marrieth G2087 another, G3431 committeth adultery: G2532 and G3956 he that G1060 marrieth one G3588 that G630 is put away G575 from G435 a husband G3431 committeth adultery.

19 G2258 Now there was G5100 a certain G4145 rich G444 man, G2532 and G1737 he was clothed G4209 in purple G2532 and G1040 fine linen, G2165 faring G2988 sumptuously G2596 every G2250 day:

20 G1161 and G2258 G5100 a certain G4434 beggar G3686 named G2976 Lazarus G3739 was G906 laid G4314 at G846 his G4440 gate, G1669 full of sores,

21 G2532 and G1937 desiring G5526 to be fed G575 with G5589 the crumbs G3588 that G4098 fell G575 from G4145 the rich man's G5132 table; G235 yea, G2532 even G2965 the dogs G2064 came G621 and licked G846 his G1668 sores.

22 G1161 And G1096 it came to pass, G4434 that the beggar G599 died, G2532 and G846 that he G667 was carried G5259 away by G32 the angels G1519 into G11 Abraham's G1161 bosom: G4145 and the rich man G2532 also G599 died, G2532 and G2290 was buried.

23 G2532 And G1722 in G86 Hades G1869 he lifted up G846 his G3788 eyes, G5225 being G1722 in G931 torments, G3708 and seeth G11 Abraham G3113 afar G575 off, G2532 and G2976 Lazarus G1722 in G846 his G2859 bosom.

24 G2532 And G846 he G5455 cried G2036 and said, G3962 Father G11 Abraham, G1653 have mercy G3165 on me, G2532 and G3992 send G2976 Lazarus, G2443 that G911 he may dip G206 the tip G846 of his G1147 finger G5204 in water, G2532 and G2711 cool G3450 my G1100 tongue; G3754 for G3600 I am in anguish G1722 in G3778 this G5395 flame.

25 G1161 But G11 Abraham G2036 said, G5043 Son, G3415 remember G3754 that G4771 thou G1722 in G4675 thy G2222 lifetime G618 receivedst G4675 thy G18 good things, G2532 and G2976 Lazarus G3668 in like G2556 manner evil things: G1161 but G3568 now G3592 here he G3870 is comforted, G1161 and G4771 thou G3600 art in anguish.

26 G2532 And G1909 besides G3956 all G5125 this, G3342 between G2257 us G2532 and G5216 you G3173 there is a great G5490 gulf G4741 fixed, G3704 that G3704 they that G2309 would G1224 pass G1782 from hence G4314 to G5209 you G3361 may not G3366 be able, and G3588 that G1276 none may cross over G1564 from thence G4314 to G2248 us.

27 G1161 And G2036 he said, G2065 I pray G4571 thee G3767 therefore, G3962 father, G2443 that G3992 thou wouldest send G846 him G1519 to G3450 my G3962 father's G3624 house;

28 G1063 for G2192 I have G4002 five G80 brethren; G3704 that G1263 he may testify G846 unto them, G2443 lest G3361 G846 they G2532 also G2064 come G1519 into G5126 this G5117 place G931 of torment.

29 G11 But Abraham G3004 saith, G846 G2192 They have G3475 Moses G2532 and G4396 the prophets; G191 let them hear G846 them.

30 G1161 And G2036 he said, G3780 Nay, G3962 father G11 Abraham: G235 but G1437 if G5100 one G4198 go G4314 to G846 them G575 from G3498 the dead, G3340 they will repent.

31 G1161 And G2036 he said G846 unto him, G1487 If G191 they hear G3756 not G3475 Moses G2532 and G4396 the prophets, G3761 neither G3982 will they be persuaded, G1437 if G5100 one G450 rise G1537 from G3498 the dead.
