  2 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass, H5265 בנסעם as they journeyed H6924 מקדם from the east, H4672 וימצאו that they found H1237 בקעה a plain H776 בארץ in the land H8152 שׁנער of Shinar; H3427 וישׁבו and they dwelt H8033 שׁם׃ there.
  3 H559 ויאמרו And they said H376 אישׁ one H413 אל to H7453 רעהו another, H3051 הבה Go to, H3835 נלבנה let us make H3843 לבנים brick, H8313 ונשׂרפה and burn H8316 לשׂרפה them throughly. H1961 ותהי And they had H3843 להם הלבנה brick H68 לאבן for stone, H2564 והחמר and slime H1961 היה had H2563 להם לחמר׃ they for mortar.
  4 H559 ויאמרו And they said, H3051 הבה Go to, H1129 נבנה let us build H5892 לנו עיר us a city H4026 ומגדל and a tower, H7218 וראשׁו whose top H8064 בשׁמים unto heaven; H6213 ונעשׂה and let us make H8034 לנו שׁם us a name, H6435 פן lest H6327 נפוץ we be scattered abroad H5921 על upon H6440 פני the face H3605 כל of the whole H776 הארץ׃ earth.
  5 H3381 וירד came down H3068 יהוה And the LORD H7200 לראת to see H853 את   H5892 העיר the city H853 ואת   H4026 המגדל and the tower, H834 אשׁר which H1129 בנו built. H1121 בני the children H120 האדם׃ of men
  6 H559 ויאמר said, H3068 יהוה And the LORD H2005 הן Behold, H5971 עם the people H259 אחד one, H8193 ושׂפה language; H259 אחת one H3605 לכלם and they have all H2088 וזה and this H2490 החלם they begin H6213 לעשׂות to do: H6258 ועתה and now H3808 לא nothing H1219 יבצר will be restrained H1992 מהם   H3605 כל nothing H834 אשׁר them, which H2161 יזמו they have imagined H6213 לעשׂות׃ to do.
  7 H3051 הבה Go to, H3381 נרדה let us go down, H1101 ונבלה confound H8033 שׁם and there H8193 שׂפתם their language, H834 אשׁר that H3808 לא they may not H8085 ישׁמעו understand H582 אישׁ   H8193 שׂפת speech. H7453 רעהו׃ another's
  8 H6327 ויפץ   H3068 יהוה So the LORD H853 אתם   H8033 משׁם from thence H5921 על upon H6440 פני the face H3605 כל of all H776 הארץ the earth: H2308 ויחדלו and they left off H1129 לבנת to build H5892 העיר׃ the city.
  9 H5921 על upon H3651 כן   H7121 קרא of it called H8034 שׁמה is the name H894 בבל Babel; H3588 כי because H8033 שׁם did there H1101 בלל confound H3068 יהוה the LORD H8193 שׂפת the language H3605 כל of all H776 הארץ the earth: H8033 ומשׁם and from thence H6327 הפיצם scatter them abroad H3068 יהוה did the LORD H5921 על   H6440 פני the face H3605 כל of all H776 הארץ׃ the earth.
  10 H428 אלה These H8435 תולדת the generations H8035 שׁם of Shem: H8035 שׁם Shem H1121 בן old, H3967 מאת a hundred H8141 שׁנה years H3205 ויולד and begot H853 את   H775 ארפכשׁד Arphaxad H8141 שׁנתים two years H310 אחר after H3999 המבול׃ the flood:
  11 H2421 ויחי lived H8035 שׁם And Shem H310 אחרי after H3205 הולידו he begot H853 את   H775 ארפכשׁד Arphaxad H2568 חמשׁ five H3967 מאות hundred H8141 שׁנה years, H3205 ויולד and begot H1121 בנים sons H1323 ובנות׃ and daughters.
  12 H775 וארפכשׁד And Arphaxad H2416 חי   H2568 חמשׁ five H7970 ושׁלשׁים and thirty H8141 שׁנה years, H3205 ויולד and begot H853 את   H7974 שׁלח׃ Salah:
  13 H2421 ויחי lived H775 ארפכשׁד And Arphaxad H310 אחרי after H3205 הולידו he begot H853 את   H7974 שׁלח Salah H7969 שׁלשׁ and three H8141 שׁנים years, H702 וארבע four H3967 מאות hundred H8141 שׁנה   H3205 ויולד and begot H1121 בנים sons H1323 ובנות׃ and daughters.
  14 H7974 ושׁלח And Salah H2416 חי   H7970 שׁלשׁים thirty H8141 שׁנה years, H3205 ויולד and begot H853 את   H5677 עבר׃ Eber:
  15 H2421 ויחי lived H7974 שׁלח And Salah H310 אחרי after H3205 הולידו he begot H853 את   H5677 עבר Eber H7969 שׁלשׁ and three H8141 שׁנים years, H702 וארבע four H3967 מאות hundred H8141 שׁנה   H3205 ויולד and begot H1121 בנים sons H1323 ובנות׃ and daughters.
  16 H2421 ויחי lived H5677 עבר And Eber H702 ארבע four H7970 ושׁלשׁים and thirty H8141 שׁנה years, H3205 ויולד and begot H853 את   H6389 פלג׃ Peleg:
  17 H2421 ויחי lived H5677 עבר And Eber H310 אחרי after H3205 הולידו he begot H853 את   H6389 פלג Peleg H7970 שׁלשׁים and thirty H8141 שׁנה years, H702 וארבע four H3967 מאות hundred H8141 שׁנה   H3205 ויולד and begot H1121 בנים sons H1323 ובנות׃ and daughters.
  18 H2421 ויחי lived H6389 פלג And Peleg H7970 שׁלשׁים thirty H8141 שׁנה years, H3205 ויולד and begot H853 את   H7466 רעו׃ Reu:
  19 H2421 ויחי lived H6389 פלג And Peleg H310 אחרי after H3205 הולידו he begot H853 את   H7466 רעו Reu H8672 תשׁע and nine H8141 שׁנים years, H3967 ומאתים two hundred H8141 שׁנה   H3205 ויולד and begot H1121 בנים sons H1323 ובנות׃ and daughters.
  20 H2421 ויחי lived H7466 רעו And Reu H8147 שׁתים two H7970 ושׁלשׁים and thirty H8141 שׁנה years, H3205 ויולד and begot H853 את   H8286 שׂרוג׃ Serug:
  21 H2421 ויחי lived H7466 רעו And Reu H310 אחרי after H3205 הולידו he begot H853 את   H8286 שׂרוג Serug H7651 שׁבע and seven H8141 שׁנים years, H3967 ומאתים two hundred H8141 שׁנה   H3205 ויולד and begot H1121 בנים sons H1323 ובנות׃ and daughters.
  22 H2421 ויחי lived H8286 שׂרוג And Serug H7970 שׁלשׁים thirty H8141 שׁנה years, H3205 ויולד and begot H853 את   H5152 נחור׃ Nahor:
  23 H2421 ויחי lived H8286 שׂרוג And Serug H310 אחרי after H3205 הולידו he begot H853 את   H5152 נחור Nahor H3967 מאתים two hundred H8141 שׁנה years, H3205 ויולד and begot H1121 בנים sons H1323 ובנות׃ and daughters.
  24 H2421 ויחי lived H5152 נחור And Nahor H8672 תשׁע nine H6242 ועשׂרים and twenty H8141 שׁנה years, H3205 ויולד and begot H853 את   H8646 תרח׃ Terah:
  25 H2421 ויחי lived H5152 נחור And Nahor H310 אחרי after H3205 הולידו he begot H853 את   H8646 תרח Terah H8672 תשׁע and nineteen H6240 עשׂרה and nineteen H8141 שׁנה years, H3967 ומאת a hundred H8141 שׁנה   H3205 ויולד and begot H1121 בנים sons H1323 ובנות׃ and daughters.
  26 H2421 ויחי lived H8646 תרח And Terah H7657 שׁבעים seventy H8141 שׁנה years, H3205 ויולד and begot H853 את   H87 אברם Abram, H853 את   H5152 נחור Nahor, H853 ואת   H2039 הרן׃ and Haran.
  27 H428 ואלה Now these H8435 תולדת the generations H8646 תרח of Terah: H8646 תרח Terah H3205 הוליד begot H853 את   H87 אברם Abram, H853 את   H5152 נחור Nahor, H853 ואת   H2039 הרן and Haran; H2039 והרן and Haran H3205 הוליד begot H853 את   H3876 לוט׃ Lot.
  28 H4191 וימת died H2039 הרן And Haran H5921 על before H6440 פני before H8646 תרח Terah H1 אביו his father H776 בארץ in the land H4138 מולדתו of his nativity, H218 באור in Ur H3778 כשׂדים׃ of the Chaldees.
  29 H3947 ויקח took H87 אברם And Abram H5152 ונחור and Nahor H802 להם נשׁים them wives: H8034 שׁם the name H802 אשׁת wife H87 אברם of Abram's H8297 שׂרי Sarai; H8034 ושׁם and the name H802 אשׁת wife, H5152 נחור of Nahor's H4435 מלכה Milcah, H1323 בת the daughter H2039 הרן of Haran, H1 אבי the father H4435 מלכה of Milcah, H1 ואבי and the father H3252 יסכה׃ of Iscah.
  30 H1961 ותהי was H8297 שׂרי But Sarai H6135 עקרה barren; H369 אין she no H2056 לה ולד׃ child.
  31 H3947 ויקח took H8646 תרח And Terah H853 את   H87 אברם Abram H1121 בנו his son, H853 ואת   H3876 לוט and Lot H1121 בן the son H2039 הרן of Haran H1121 בן his son's H1121 בנו son, H853 ואת   H8297 שׂרי and Sarai H3618 כלתו his daughter-in-law, H802 אשׁת wife; H87 אברם Abram's H1121 בנו his son H3318 ויצאו and they went forth H854 אתם with H218 מאור   H3778 כשׂדים of the Chaldees, H1980 ללכת to go H776 ארצה into the land H3667 כנען of Canaan; H935 ויבאו and they came H5704 עד unto H2771 חרן Haran, H3427 וישׁבו and dwelt H8033 שׁם׃ there.
  32 H1961 ויהיו were H3117 ימי And the days H8646 תרח of Terah H2568 חמשׁ and five H8141 שׁנים years: H3967 ומאתים two hundred H8141 שׁנה   H4191 וימת died H8646 תרח and Terah H2771 בחרן׃ in Haran.
