Jeremiah 8 בעת time, ההיא At that נאם saith יהוה the LORD, ויציאו they shall bring out את עצמות the bones מלכי of the kings יהודה of Judah, ואת עצמות and the bones שׂריו of his princes, ואת עצמות and the bones הכהנים of the priests, ואת עצמות and the bones הנביאים of the prophets, ואת עצמות and the bones יושׁבי of the inhabitants ירושׁלם of Jerusalem, מקבריהם׃ out of their graves:

1 H6256 בעת time, H1931 ההיא At that H5002 נאם saith H3068 יהוה the LORD, H3318 ויציאו they shall bring out H853 את H6106 עצמות the bones H4428 מלכי of the kings H3063 יהודה of Judah, H853 ואת H6106 עצמות and the bones H8269 שׂריו of his princes, H853 ואת H6106 עצמות and the bones H3548 הכהנים of the priests, H853 ואת H6106 עצמות and the bones H5030 הנביאים of the prophets, H853 ואת H6106 עצמות and the bones H3427 יושׁבי of the inhabitants H3389 ירושׁלם of Jerusalem, H6913 מקבריהם׃ out of their graves:

2 H7849 ושׁטחום And they shall spread H8121 לשׁמשׁ them before the sun, H3394 ולירח and the moon, H3605 ולכל and all H6635 צבא the host H8064 השׁמים of heaven, H834 אשׁר whom H157 אהבום they have loved, H834 ואשׁר and whom H5647 עבדום they have served, H834 ואשׁר whom H1980 הלכו they have walked, H310 אחריהם and after H834 ואשׁר and whom H1875 דרשׁום they have sought, H834 ואשׁר and whom H7812 השׁתחוו they have worshiped: H3808 להם לא they shall not H622 יאספו be gathered, H3808 ולא nor H6912 יקברו be buried; H1828 לדמן for dung H5921 על upon H6440 פני the face H127 האדמה of the earth. H1961 יהיו׃ they shall be

3 H977 ונבחר shall be chosen H4194 מות And death H2416 מחיים rather than life H3605 לכל by all H7611 השׁארית the residue H7604 הנשׁארים of them that remain H4480 מן rather than life H4940 המשׁפחה family, H7451 הרעה evil H2063 הזאת this H3605 בכל in all H4725 המקמות the places H7604 הנשׁארים which remain H834 אשׁר whither H5080 הדחתים I have driven H8033 שׁם whither H5002 נאם them, saith H3068 יהוה the LORD H6635 צבאות׃ of hosts.

4 H559 ואמרת Moreover thou shalt say H413 אליהם unto H3541 כה them, Thus H559 אמר saith H3068 יהוה the LORD; H5307 היפלו Shall they fall, H3808 ולא and not H6965 יקומו arise? H518 אם H7725 ישׁוב shall he turn away, H3808 ולא and not H7725 ישׁוב׃ return?

5 H4069 מדוע Why H7725 שׁובבה slid back H5971 העם people H2088 הזה is this H3389 ירושׁלם of Jerusalem H4878 משׁבה backsliding? H5331 נצחת H2388 החזיקו they hold fast H8649 בתרמית deceit, H3985 מאנו they refuse H7725 לשׁוב׃ to return.

6 H7181 הקשׁבתי I hearkened H8085 ואשׁמע and heard, H3808 לוא not H3651 כן aright: H1696 ידברו they spoke H369 אין no H376 אישׁ man H5162 נחם repented H5921 על him of H7451 רעתו his wickedness, H559 לאמר saying, H4100 מה What H6213 עשׂיתי have I done? H3605 כלה every one H7725 שׁב turned H4794 במרצותם to his course, H5483 כסוס as the horse H7857 שׁוטף rusheth H4421 במלחמה׃ into the battle.

7 H1571 גם Yea, H2624 חסידה the stork H8064 בשׁמים in the heaven H3045 ידעה knoweth H4150 מועדיה her appointed times; H8449 ותר and the turtle H5483 וסוס and the crane H5693 ועגור and the swallow H8104 שׁמרו observe H853 את H6256 עת the time H935 באנה of their coming; H5971 ועמי but my people H3808 לא not H3045 ידעו know H853 את H4941 משׁפט the judgment H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD.

8 H349 איכה How H559 תאמרו do ye say, H2450 חכמים wise, H587 אנחנו We H8451 ותורת and the law H3068 יהוה of the LORD H854 אתנו with H403 אכן certainly H2009 הנה us? Lo, H8267 לשׁקר in vain H6213 עשׂה made H5842 עט he the pen H8267 שׁקר in vain. H5608 ספרים׃ of the scribes

9 H954 הבישׁו are ashamed, H2450 חכמים The wise H2865 חתו they are dismayed H3920 וילכדו and taken: H2009 הנה lo, H1697 בדבר the word H3068 יהוה of the LORD; H3988 מאסו they have rejected H2451 וחכמת wisdom H4100 מה׃ and what

10 H3651 לכן Therefore H5414 אתן will I give H853 את H802 נשׁיהם their wives H312 לאחרים unto others, H7704 שׂדותיהם their fields H3423 ליורשׁים to them that shall inherit H3588 כי for H6996 מקטן from the least H5704 ועד even unto H1419 גדול the greatest H3605 כלה every one H1214 בצע is given to covetousness, H1215 בצע is given to covetousness, H5030 מנביא from the prophet H5704 ועד even unto H3548 כהן the priest H3605 כלה every one H6213 עשׂה dealeth H8267 שׁקר׃ falsely.

11 H7495 וירפו For they have healed H853 את H7667 שׁבר the hurt H1323 בת of the daughter H5971 עמי of my people H5921 על H7043 נקלה slightly, H559 לאמר saying, H7965 שׁלום Peace, H7965 שׁלום peace; H369 ואין when no H7965 שׁלום׃ peace.

12 H3001 הבשׁו H3588 כי when H8441 תועבה abomination? H6213 עשׂו they had committed H1571 גם nay, H954 בושׁ Were they ashamed H3808 לא they were not H954 יבשׁו at all ashamed, H3637 והכלם they blush: H3808 לא neither H3045 ידעו could H3651 לכן therefore H5307 יפלו shall they fall H5307 בנפלים among them that fall: H6256 בעת in the time H6486 פקדתם of their visitation H3782 יכשׁלו they shall be cast down, H559 אמר saith H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.

13 H622 אסף H5486 אסיפם H5002 נאם them, saith H3069 יהוה H369 אין no H6025 ענבים grapes H1612 בגפן on the vine, H369 ואין nor H8384 תאנים figs H8384 בתאנה on the fig tree, H5929 והעלה and the leaf H5034 נבל shall fade; H5414 ואתן and I have given H1992 להם H5674 יעברום׃ them shall pass away

14 H5921 על H4100 מה H587 אנחנו do we H3427 ישׁבים sit H622 האספו still? assemble yourselves, H935 ונבוא and let us enter H413 אל into H5892 ערי cities, H4013 המבצר the defensed H1826 ונדמה and let us be silent H8033 שׁם there: H3588 כי for H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהינו our God H1826 הדמנו hath put us to silence, H8248 וישׁקנו to drink, H4325 מי and given us water H7219 ראשׁ of gall H3588 כי because H2398 חטאנו we have sinned H3068 ליהוה׃ against the LORD.

15 H6960 קוה We looked H7965 לשׁלום for peace, H369 ואין but no H2896 טוב good H6256 לעת for a time H4832 מרפה of health, H2009 והנה and behold H1205 בעתה׃ trouble!

16 H1835 מדן H8085 נשׁמע was heard H5170 נחרת The snorting H5483 סוסיו of his horses H6963 מקול at the sound H4684 מצהלות of the neighing H47 אביריו of his strong ones; H7493 רעשׁה trembled H3605 כל the whole H776 הארץ land H935 ויבואו for they are come, H398 ויאכלו and have devoured H776 ארץ the land, H4393 ומלואה and all H5892 עיר that is in it; the city, H3427 וישׁבי׃ and those that dwell

17 H3588 כי For, H2005 הנני H7971 משׁלח I will send H5175 בכם נחשׁים serpents, H6848 צפענים cockatrices, H834 אשׁר among you, which H369 אין not H3908 להם לחשׁ charmed, H5391 ונשׁכו and they shall bite H853 אתכם H5002 נאם you, saith H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.

18 H4010 מבליגיתי I would comfort H5921 עלי myself against H3015 יגון sorrow, H5921 עלי in H3820 לבי my heart H1742 דוי׃ faint

19 H2009 הנה Behold H6963 קול the voice H7775 שׁועת of the cry H1323 בת of the daughter H5971 עמי of my people H776 מארץ country: H4801 מרחקים because of them that dwell in a far H3068 היהוה the LORD H369 אין not H6726 בציון in Zion? H518 אם H4428 מלכה her king H369 אין not H4069 בה מדוע in her? Why H3707 הכעסוני have they provoked me to anger H6456 בפסליהם with their graven images, H1892 בהבלי vanities? H5236 נכר׃ with strange

20 H5674 עבר is past, H7105 קציר The harvest H3615 כלה is ended, H7019 קיץ the summer H587 ואנחנו and we H3808 לוא are not H3467 נושׁענו׃ saved.

21 H5921 על For H7667 שׁבר the hurt H1323 בת of the daughter H5971 עמי of my people H7665 השׁברתי am I hurt; H6937 קדרתי I am black; H8047 שׁמה astonishment H2388 החזקתני׃ hath taken hold

22 H6875 הצרי balm H369 אין no H1568 בגלעד in Gilead; H518 אם H7495 רפא physician H369 אין no H8033 שׁם there? H3588 כי then H4069 מדוע why H3808 לא is not H5927 עלתה recovered? H724 ארכת the health H1323 בת of the daughter H5971 עמי׃ of my people
