  2 H251 And if thy brother H7138 be not nigh H3045 unto thee, or if thou know [H8804]   H622 him not, then thou shalt bring [H8804]   H8432 it unto H1004 thine own house H251 , and it shall be with thee until thy brother H1875 seek [H8800]   H7725 after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again [H8689]  .
  3 H3651 In like manner H6213 shalt thou do [H8799]   H2543 with his ass H6213 ; and so shalt thou do [H8799]   H8071 with his raiment H9 ; and with all lost thing H251 of thy brother's H6 , which he hath lost [H8799]   H4672 , and thou hast found [H8804]   H6213 , shalt thou do [H8799]   H3201 likewise: thou mayest [H8799]   H5956 not hide [H8692]   thyself.
  4 H7200 Thou shalt not see [H8799]   H251 thy brother's H2543 ass H7794 or his ox H5307 fall down [H8802]   H1870 by the way H5956 , and hide [H8694]   H6965 thyself from them: thou shalt surely [H8687]   H6965 help him to lift them up again [H8686]  .
  5 H802 The woman H3627 shall not wear that which pertaineth H1397 unto a man H1397 , neither shall a man H3847 put [H8799]   H802 on a woman's H8071 garment H6213 : for all that do [H8802]   H428 so H8441 are abomination H3068 unto the LORD H430 thy God.

  7 H7971 But thou shalt in any wise [H8763]   H517 let the dam H7971 go [H8762]   H3947 , and take [H8799]   H1121 the young H3190 to thee; that it may be well [H8799]   H748 with thee, and that thou mayest prolong [H8689]   H3117 thy days.
  8 H1129 When thou buildest [H8799]   H2319 a new H1004 house H6213 , then thou shalt make [H8804]   H4624 a battlement H1406 for thy roof H7760 , that thou bring [H8799]   H1818 not blood H1004 upon thine house H5307 , if any man [H8802]   H5307 fall [H8799]   from thence.
  9 H2232 Thou shalt not sow [H8799]   H3754 thy vineyard H3610 with divers seeds H4395 : lest the fruit H2233 of thy seed H2232 which thou hast sown [H8799]   H8393 , and the fruit H3754 of thy vineyard H6942 , be defiled [H8799]  .

  11 H3847 Thou shalt not wear [H8799]   H8162 a garment of divers sorts H6785 , as of woollen H6593 and linen H3162 together.
  12 H6213 Thou shalt make [H8799]   H1434 thee fringes H702 upon the four H3671 quarters H3682 of thy vesture H3680 , wherewith thou coverest [H8762]   thyself .
  13 H376 If any man H3947 take [H8799]   H802 a wife H935 , and go in [H8804]   H8130 unto her, and hate [H8804]   her,
  14 H7760 And give [H8804]   H5949 occasions H1697 of speech H3318 against her, and bring up [H8689]   H7451 an evil H8034 name H559 upon her, and say [H8804]   H3947 , I took [H8804]   H802 this woman H7126 , and when I came [H8799]   H4672 to her, I found [H8804]   H1331 her not a maid:
  15 H1 Then shall the father H5291 of the damsel H517 , and her mother H3947 , take [H8804]   H3318 and bring forth [H8689]   H5291 the tokens of the damsel's H1331 virginity H2205 unto the elders H5892 of the city H8179 in the gate:
  16 H5291 And the damsel's H1 father H559 shall say [H8804]   H2205 unto the elders H5414 , I gave [H8804]   H1323 my daughter H376 unto this man H802 to wife H8130 , and he hateth [H8799]   her;
  17 H7760 And, lo, he hath given [H8804]   H5949 occasions H1697 of speech H559 against her, saying [H8800]   H4672 , I found [H8804]   H1323 not thy daughter H1331 a maid H1323 ; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's H1331 virginity H6566 . And they shall spread [H8804]   H8071 the cloth H6440 before H2205 the elders H5892 of the city.
  18 H2205 And the elders H5892 of that city H3947 shall take [H8804]   H376 that man H3256 and chastise [H8765]   him;
  19 H6064 And they shall amerce [H8804]   H3967 him in an hundred H3701 shekels of silver H5414 , and give [H8804]   H1 them unto the father H5291 of the damsel H3318 , because he hath brought up [H8689]   H7451 an evil H8034 name H1330 upon a virgin H3478 of Israel H802 : and she shall be his wife H3201 ; he may [H8799]   H7971 not put her away [H8763]   H3117 all his days.
  20 H1697 But if this thing H571 be true H1331 , and the tokens of virginity H4672 be not found [H8738]   H5291 for the damsel:
  21 H3318 Then they shall bring out [H8689]   H5291 the damsel H6607 to the door H1 of her father's H1004 house H582 , and the men H5892 of her city H5619 shall stone [H8804]   H68 her with stones H4191 that she die [H8804]   H6213 : because she hath wrought [H8804]   H5039 folly H3478 in Israel H2181 , to play the whore [H8800]   H1 in her father's H1004 house H1197 : so shalt thou put H7451 evil H1197 away [H8765]   H7130 from among you.
  22 H376 If a man H4672 be found [H8735]   H7901 lying [H8802]   H802 with a woman H1166 married [H8803]   H1167 to an husband H8147 , then they shall both of them H4191 die [H8804]   H376 , both the man H7901 that lay [H8802]   H802 with the woman H802 , and the woman H1197 : so shalt thou put away [H8765]   H7451 evil H3478 from Israel.
  23 H5291 If a damsel H1330 that is a virgin H781 be betrothed [H8794]   H376 unto an husband H376 , and a man H4672 find [H8804]   H5892 her in the city H7901 , and lie [H8804]   with her;
  24 H3318 Then ye shall bring [H8689]   H8147 them both H8179 out unto the gate H5892 of that city H5619 , and ye shall stone [H8804]   H68 them with stones H4191 that they die [H8804]   H5291 ; the damsel H834 , because H1697   H6817 she cried [H8804]   H5892 not, being in the city H376 ; and the man H834 , because H1697   H6031 he hath humbled [H8765]   H7453 his neighbour's H802 wife H1197 : so thou shalt put away [H8765]   H7451 evil H7130 from among you.
  25 H376 But if a man H4672 find [H8799]   H781 a betrothed [H8794]   H5291 damsel H7704 in the field H376 , and the man H2388 force [H8689]   H7901 her, and lie [H8804]   H376 with her: then the man H7901 only that lay [H8804]   H4191 with her shall die [H8804]  :
  26 H5291 But unto the damsel H6213 thou shalt do [H8799]   H1697 nothing H5291 ; there is in the damsel H2399 no sin H4194 worthy of death H376 : for as when a man H6965 riseth [H8799]   H7453 against his neighbour H7523 , and slayeth [H8804]   [H8676]   H5315   H1697 him, even so is this matter:
  27 H4672 For he found [H8804]   H7704 her in the field H781 , and the betrothed [H8794]   H5291 damsel H6817 cried [H8804]   H3467 , and there was none to save [H8688]   her.
  28 H376 If a man H4672 find [H8799]   H5291 a damsel H1330 that is a virgin H781 , which is not betrothed [H8795]   H8610 , and lay hold [H8804]   H7901 on her, and lie [H8804]   H4672 with her, and they be found [H8738]  ;
  29 H376 Then the man H7901 that lay [H8802]   H5414 with her shall give [H8804]   H5291 unto the damsel's H1 father H2572 fifty H3701 shekels of silver H802 , and she shall be his wife H6031 ; because he hath humbled [H8765]   H3201 her, he may [H8799]   H7971 not put her away [H8763]   H3117 all his days.
  30 H376 A man H3947 shall not take [H8799]   H1 his father's H802 wife H1540 , nor discover [H8762]   H1 his father's H3671 skirt.
ERV(i) 1 Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely bring them again unto thy brother. 2 And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it home to thine house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again. 3 And so shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his garment; and so shalt thou do with every lost thing of thy brother’s, which he hath lost, and thou hast found: thou mayest not hide thyself. 4 Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ass or his ox fallen down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again. 5 A woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for whosoever doeth these things is an abomination unto the LORD thy God. 6 If a bird’s nest chance to be before thee in the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young: 7 thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, but the young thou mayest take unto thyself; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days. 8 When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence. 9 Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with two kinds of seed: lest the whole fruit be forfeited, the seed which thou hast sown, and the increase of the vineyard. 10 Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together. 11 Thou shalt not wear a mingled stuff, wool and linen together. 12 Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four borders of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself. 13 If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her, 14 and lay shameful things to her charge, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came nigh to her, I found not in her the tokens of virginity: 15 then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel’s virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate: 16 and the damsel’s father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her; 17 and, lo, he hath laid shameful things [to her charge], saying, I found not in thy daughter the tokens of virginity; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter’s virginity. And they shall spread the garment before the elders of the city. 18 And the elders of that city shall take the man and chastise him; 19 and they shall amerce him in an hundred [shekels] of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days. 20 But if this thing be true, that the tokens of virginity were not found in the damsel: 21 then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the harlot in her father’s house: so shalt thou put away the evil from the midst of thee. 22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away the evil from Israel. 23 If there be a damsel that is a virgin betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her; 24 then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife: so thou shalt put away the evil from the midst of thee. 25 But if the man find the damsel that is betrothed in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her; then the man only that lay with her shall die: 26 but unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter: 27 for he found her in the field; the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her. 28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; 29 then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel’s father fifty [shekels] of silver, and she shall be his wife, because he hath humbled her; he may not put her away all his days. 30 A man shall not take his father’s wife, and shall not uncover his father’s skirt.
