3 G3739 Who G5607 being [G5752] G541 the brightness G1391 of his glory G2532 , and G5481 the express image G846 of his G5287 person G5037 , and G5342 upholding [G5723] G3956 all things G4487 by the word G846 of his G1411 power G4160 , when he had G2512 G1223 by G1438 himself G4160 purged [G5671] G2512 G2257 our G266 sins G2523 , sat down [G5656] G1722 on G1188 the right hand G3172 of the Majesty G1722 on G5308 high;

4 G1096 Being made [G5637] G5118 so much G2909 better than G32 the angels G3745 , as G2816 he hath by inheritance obtained [G5758] G1313 a more excellent G3686 name G3844 than G846 they.

5 G1063 For G5101 unto which G32 of the angels G2036 said he [G5627] G4218 at any time G4771 , Thou G1488 art [G5748] G3450 my G5207 Son G4594 , this day G1080 have G1473 I G1080 begotten [G5758] G4571 thee G2532 ? And G3825 again G1473 , I G2071 will be [G5704] G1519 to G846 him G3962 a Father G2532 , and G846 he G2071 shall be [G5704] G1519 to G3427 me G5207 a Son?

6 G1161 And G3825 again G3752 , when G1521 he bringeth in [G5632] G4416 the firstbegotten G1519 into G3625 the world G3004 , he saith [G5719] G2532 , And G4352 let G3956 all G32 the angels G2316 of God G4352 worship [G5657] G846 him.

7 G2532 And G4314 of G3303 G32 the angels G3004 he saith [G5719] G4160 , Who maketh [G5723] G846 his G32 angels G4151 spirits G2532 , and G846 his G3011 ministers G5395 a flame G4442 of fire.

8 G1161 But G4314 unto G5207 the Son G4675 he saith, Thy G2362 throne G2316 , O God G1519 , is for G165 ever G165 and ever G4464 : a sceptre G2118 of righteousness G4464 is the sceptre G4675 of thy G932 kingdom.

9 G25 Thou hast loved [G5656] G1343 righteousness G2532 , and G3404 hated [G5656] G458 iniquity G1223 ; therefore G5124 G2316 God G4675 , even thy G2316 God G5548 , hath anointed [G5656] G4571 thee G1637 with the oil G20 of gladness G3844 above G4675 thy G3353 fellows.

10 G2532 And G4771 , Thou G2962 , Lord G2596 , in G746 the beginning G2311 hast laid the foundation [G5656] G1093 of the earth G2532 ; and G3772 the heavens G1526 are [G5748] G2041 the works G4675 of thine G5495 hands:

11 G846 They G622 shall perish [G5698] G1161 ; but G4771 thou G1265 remainest [G5719] G2532 ; and G3956 they all G3822 shall wax old [G5701] G5613 as G2440 doth a garment;

12 G2532 And G5616 as G4018 a vesture G1667 shalt thou fold G846 them G1667 up [G5692] G2532 , and G236 they shall be changed [G5691] G1161 : but G4771 thou G1488 art [G5748] G846 the same G2532 , and G4675 thy G2094 years G1587 shall G3756 not G1587 fail [G5692] .

13 G1161 But G4314 to G5101 which G32 of the angels G2046 said he [G5758] G4218 at any time G2521 , Sit [G5737] G1537 on G3450 my G1188 right hand G302 , until G2193 G5087 I make [G5632] G4675 thine G2190 enemies G4675 thy G5286 footstool G4228 ?

14 G1526 Are they [G5748] G3780 not G3956 all G3010 ministering G4151 spirits G649 , sent forth [G5746] G1519 to G1248 minister G1223 for G3195 them who shall [G5723] G2816 be heirs of [G5721] G4991 salvation?

ERV⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹ God, having of old time spoken unto the fathers in the prophets by divers portions and in divers manners, ² hath at the end of these days spoken unto us in [his] Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds; ³ who being the effulgence of his glory, and the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had made purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; ⁴ having become by so much better than the angels, as he hath inherited a more excellent name than they. ⁵ For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, This day have I begotten thee? and again, I will be to him a Father, And he shall be to me a Son? ⁶ And when he again bringeth in the firstborn into the world he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. ⁷ And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels winds, And his ministers a flame of fire: ⁸ but of the Son [he saith], Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; And the sceptre of uprightness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. ⁹ Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellows. ¹⁰ And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of thy hands: ¹¹ They shall perish; but thou continuest: And they all shall wax old as doth a garment; ¹² And as a mantle shalt thou roll them up, As a garment, and they shall be changed: But thou art the same, And thy years shall not fail. ¹³ But of which of the angels hath he said at any time, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet? ¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to do service for the sake of them that shall inherit salvation?
