  2 H259 All things come alike to all: there is one H4745 event H6662 to the righteous H7563 , and to the wicked H2896 ; to the good H2889 and to the clean H2931 , and to the unclean H2076 ; to him that sacrificeth [H8802]   H834 , and to him that H2076 sacrificeth [H8802]   H2896 not: as is the good H2398 , so is the sinner [H8802]   H7650 ; and he that sweareth [H8737]   H3373 , as he that feareth H7621 an oath.
  3 H7451 This is an evil H6213 among all things that are done [H8738]   H8121 under the sun H259 , that there is one H4745 event H3820 unto all: yea, also the heart H1121 of the sons H120 of men H4390 is full [H8804]   H7451 of evil H1947 , and madness H3824 is in their heart H2416 while they live H310 , and after H4191 that they go to the dead [H8801]  .

  5 H2416 For the living H3045 know [H8802]   H4191 that they shall die [H8799]   H4191 : but the dead [H8801]   H3045 know [H8802]   H3972 not any thing H7939 , neither have they any more a reward H2143 ; for the memory H7911 of them is forgotten [H8738]  .

  13 H2090 This H2451 wisdom H7200 have I seen [H8804]   H8121 also under the sun H1419 , and it seemed great unto me:

  16 H559 Then said [H8804]   H2451 I, Wisdom H2896 is better H1369 than strength H4542 : nevertheless the poor man's H2451 wisdom H959 is despised [H8803]   H1697 , and his words H8085 are not heard [H8737]  .
  17 H1697 The words H2450 of wise H8085 men are heard [H8737]   H5183 in quiet H2201 more than the cry H4910 of him that ruleth [H8802]   H3684 among fools.
  18 H2451 Wisdom H2896 is better H3627 than weapons H7128 of war H259 : but one H2398 sinner [H8802]   H6 destroyeth [H8762]   H7235 much [H8687]   H2896 good.

  6 H1571 גם Also H160 אהבתם their love, H1571 גם and H8135 שׂנאתם their hatred, H1571 גם and H7068 קנאתם their envy, H3528 כבר is now H6 אבדה perished; H2506 וחלק a portion H369 אין neither H1992 להם   H5750 עוד have they any more H5769 לעולם forever H3605 בכל in any H834 אשׁר that H6213 נעשׂה is done H8478 תחת under H8121 השׁמשׁ׃ the sun.

  12 H3588 כי For H1571 גם also H3808 לא not H3045 ידע knoweth H120 האדם man H853 את   H6256 עתו his time: H1709 כדגים as the fishes H270 שׁנאחזים that are taken H4686 במצודה net, H7451 רעה in an evil H6833 וכצפרים and as the birds H270 האחזות that are caught H6341 בפח in the snare; H1992 כהם   H3369 יוקשׁים snared H1121 בני so the sons H120 האדם of men H6256 לעת time, H7451 רעה in an evil H5307 כשׁתפול when it falleth H5921 עליהם upon H6597 פתאם׃ suddenly

  14 H5892 עיר city, H6996 קטנה a little H582 ואנשׁים   H4592 בה מעט and few H935 ובא within it; and there came H413 אליה against H4428 מלך king H1419 גדול a great H5437 וסבב it, and besieged H853 אתה   H1129 ובנה it, and built H5921 עליה against H4685 מצודים bulwarks H1419 גדלים׃ great
  15 H4672 ומצא Now there was found H376 בה אישׁ man, H4542 מסכן in it a poor H2450 חכם wise H4422 ומלט delivered H1931 הוא and he H853 את   H5892 העיר the city; H2451 בחכמתו by his wisdom H120 ואדם man H3808 לא yet no H2142 זכר remembered H853 את   H376 האישׁ man.   16 H559 ואמרתי Then said H589 אני I, H2896 טובה better H2451 חכמה Wisdom H1369 מגבורה than strength: H2451 וחכמת wisdom H4542 המסכן nevertheless the poor man's H959 בזויה despised, H1697 ודבריו and his words H369 אינם are not H8085 נשׁמעים׃ heard.
  17 H1697 דברי The words H2450 חכמים of wise H5183 בנחת in quiet H8085 נשׁמעים heard H2201 מזעקת more than the cry H4910 מושׁל of him that ruleth H3684 בכסילים׃ among fools.
