4 H730 and cedar H6086 trees H7230 without number: H6722 for the Sidonians H6876 and they of Tyre H935 brought H730 cedar H6086 trees H369 in abundance H1732 to David.

5 H1732 David H559 said, H8010 "Solomon H1121 my son H5288 is young H7390 and tender, H1004 and the house H1129 that is to be built H3068 for Yahweh H4605 must be exceedingly H1431 magnificent, H8034 of fame H8597 and of glory H776 throughout all countries. 7 H1732 David H559 said H8010 to Solomon H1121 his son, H3824 "As for me, it was in my heart H1129 to build H1004 a house H8034 to the name H3068 of Yahweh H430 my God.

8 H1697 But the word H3068 of Yahweh H559 came to me, saying, H8210 ‘You have shed H1818 blood H7230 abundantly, H6213 and have made H1419 great H4421 wars. 10 H1129 He shall build H1004 a house H8034 for my name; H1121 and he shall be my son, H1 and I will be his father; H3559 and I will establish H3678 the throne H4438 of his kingdom H3478 over Israel H5704 for H5769 ever.'

11 H1121 Now, my son, H3068 may Yahweh H6743 be with you and prosper H1129 you, and build H1004 the house H3068 of Yahweh H430 your God, H1696 as he has spoken concerning you.

12 H3068 May Yahweh H5414 give H7922 you discretion H998 and understanding, H6680 and put you in charge H3478 of Israel; H8104 that so you may keep H8451 the law H3068 of Yahweh H430 your God.

15 H6213 There are also workmen H7230 with you in abundance, H2672 cutters H2796 and workers H68 of stone H6086 and timber, H2450 and all kinds of men H4399 who are skillful in every kind of work:

16 H2091 of the gold, H3701 the silver, H5178 and the brass, H1270 and the iron, H4557 there is no number. H6965 Arise H6213 and be doing, H3068 and may Yahweh be with you."

17 H1732 David H6680 also commanded H8269 all the princes H3478 of Israel H5826 to help H8010 Solomon H1121 his son, saying,

18 H3068 "Isn't Yahweh H430 your God H5117 with you? Hasn't he given you rest H5439 on every side? H5414 For he has delivered H3427 the inhabitants H776 of the land H3027 into my hand; H776 and the land H3533 is subdued H6440 before H3068 Yahweh, H6440 and before H5971 his people.

19 H5414 Now set H3824 your heart H5315 and your soul H1875 to seek H3068 after Yahweh H430 your God. H6965 Arise H1129 therefore, and build H4720 the sanctuary H3068 of Yahweh H430 God, H935 to bring H727 the ark H1285 of the covenant H3068 of Yahweh, H6944 and the holy H3627 vessels H430 of God, H1004 into the house H1129 that is to be built H8034 to the name H3068 of Yahweh."
