All we want is to pass through.« ²⁰ The Edomites repeated: »We refuse!« Then they marched out with a powerful army to attack the people of Israel. ²¹ The Edomites would not let the Israelites pass through their territory. So the Israelites turned and went another way. ²² The whole congregation of Israel left Kadesh and arrived at Mount Hor, ²³ on the border of Edom. There Jehovah said to Moses and Aaron:

ISV⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹⁸ But Edom replied, “You are not to pass through my land. If you do, I’ll come out and start a war with you.”
¹⁹ Then the Israelis replied, “Permit us to travel on the highway. If we and our cattle drink your water, we’ll pay the price you ask. Only please let us walk through, and nothing more.”
²⁰ But still he replied, “No. You’re not to pass through.” Then Edom went out to meet Moses with a vast army and a lot of military might. ²¹ That’s how Edom refused Israel passage through their territory. So Israel turned away from there.
²² The Death of AaronThey traveled from Kadesh, and then the entire community of the Israelis arrived at Mount Hor. ²³ Then the LORD told Moses and Aaron at Mount Hor, near the territory of Edom,

Искам само с краката си да премина и нищо друго. ²⁰ А той пак отговори: Няма да преминеш! И Едом излезе против него с голям народ и със силна ръка. ²¹ Така Едом отказа да пусне Израил да мине през областта му, затова Израил се оттегли от него. ²² И така, израилевите синове, цялото общество, отпътуваха от Кадис и дойдоха при планината Ор. ²³ И ГОСПОД говори на Мойсей и Аарон на планината Ор, при границите на едомската земя, и каза:
