  1 G3588 O G2316 God, G2064 [2come G1484 1nations] G1519 into G3588   G2817 your inheritance; G1473   G3392 they defiled G3588   G3485 [3temple G3588   G39 2holy G1473 1your]; G5087 they made G* Jerusalem G5613 as G3703.1 a storehouse of fruits.
  2 G5087 They made G3588 the G2347.1 decaying flesh G3588   G1401 of your servants G1473   G1033 foods G3588 for the G4071 winged creatures G3588 of the G3772 heaven; G3588 the G4561 flesh G3588   G3741 of your sacred ones G1473   G3588 for the G2342 wild beasts G3588 of the G1093 earth.
  3 G1632 They poured out G3588   G129 their blood G1473   G5616 as G5204 water G2945 round about G* Jerusalem; G2532 and G3756 there was no one G1510.7.3   G3588   G2290 burying them .
  4 G1096 We became G3681 scorn G3588 to G1069 our neighbors; G1473   G3456.1 for a sneering G2532 and G5512.2 taunting G3588 by the ones G2945 round about G1473 us.
  5 G2193 For G4219 how long, G2962 O lord ? G3710 Will you be provoked to anger G1519 to G5056 the end? G1572 Will [2burn G5613 3as G4442 4fire G3588   G2205 1your zeal]? G1473
  6 G1632 Pour out G3588   G3709 your anger G1473   G1909 upon G1484 nations, G3588 the ones G3361 not G1097 perceiving G1473 you! G2532 and G1909 upon G932 kingdoms G3739 in which G3588   G3686 [2your name G1473   G3756 1they called not upon]. G1941
  7 G3754 For G2719 they devoured G3588   G* Jacob, G2532 and G3588   G5117 [2his place G1473   G2049 1made] desolate.
  8 G3361 You should not G3403 remember G1473 our G458 lawless deeds G744 of old. G5036 Quickly G4293.1 let [2be first to take G1473 3us G3588   G3628 1your compassions]! G1473   G3754 for G4433 we are [2poor G4970 1exceedingly].
  9 G997 Help G1473 us, G3588 O G2316 God G3588   G4990 our deliverer, G1473   G1752 because of G3588 the G1391 glory G3588   G3686 of your name! G1473   G2962 O lord, G4506 rescue G1473 us, G2532 and G2433 atone G3588   G266 our sins, G1473   G1752 because of G3588   G3686 your name! G1473
  10 G3379 Lest at any time G2036 [3should say G3588 1the G1484 2nations], G4226 Where G1510.2.3 is G3588   G2316 their God?   11 G1525 Let [5enter G1799 6before G1473 7you G3588 1the G4726 2moaning G3588 3of the ones G3975.2 4being shackled]! G2596 According to G3588 the G3172 greatness G3588   G1023 of your arm G1473   G4046 protect G3588 the G5207 sons G3588 of the G2289 ones being put to death!
  12 G591 Repay G3588 to G1069 our neighbors G1473   G2035.4 seven-fold G1519 into G3588   G2859 their bosom! G1473   G3588   G3680 for their scorning G1473   G3739 which G3679 they berated G1473 you, G2962 O lord .

Thomson(i) 1 A Psalm by Asaph. GOD, nations are come into thine inheritance: they have polluted thy holy temple. They have made Jerusalem a depository for summer fruits. 2 They have given the carcasses of thy servants to be meat for the birds of the air; the flesh of thy saints, to the wild beasts of the earth. 3 They have poured out their blood like water round Jerusalem; and there was none to bury them. 4 We are become a reproach to our neighbours; A scoff and a derision to them around us. 5 How long, Lord, wilt thou be angry? Shall thy jealousy burn like fire forever? 6 Pour out thy wrath on the nations that have not acknowledged thee; and on kingdoms which have not invoked thy name. 7 For they have devoured Jacob, and laid waste this place of his. 8 Remember not our former iniquities: let thy tender mercies overtake us speedily: as we are greatly distressed; 9 help us, God, our saviour: for thy glory of thy name deliver us; and pardon our sins for thy name's sake. 10 Perhaps they may say among the nations, Where is their God? Let therefore the avengement of the blood of thy servants, which hath been shed; be known among the nations in our sight. 11 Let the groans of the prisoners come before thee. According to the mighty power of thine arm; protect the children of them who are slain. 12 Retribute to these neighbours of ours; into their bosom seven fold; their reproach, with which they have reproached thee, Lord. 13 For we are thy people and the sheep of thy pasture: to thee we will render thanks forever: we will proclaim thy praise to all generations.

Brenton(i) 1 (78:1) A Psalm for Asaph. O God, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; they have polluted thy holy temple; they have made Jerusalem a storehouse of fruits. 2 (78:2) They have given the dead bodies of thy servants to be food for the birds of the sky, the flesh of thy holy ones for the wild beasts of the earth. 3 (78:3) They have shed their blood as water, round about Jerusalem; and there was none to bury them. 4 (78:4) We are become a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us. 5 (78:5) How long, O Lord? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire? 6 (78:6) Pour out thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms which have not called upon thy name. 7 (78:7) For they have devoured Jacob, and laid his place waste. 8 (78:8) Remember not our old transgressions; let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us; for we are greatly impoverished. 9 (78:9) Help us, O God our Saviour; for the glory of thy name, O Lord, deliver us; and be merciful to our sins, for thy name's sake. 10 (78:10) Lets haply they should say among the heathen, Where is their God? and let the avenging of thy servant's blood that has been shed be known among the heathen before our eyes. 11 (78:11) Let the groaning of the prisoners come in before thee; according to the greatness of thine arm preserve the sons of the slain ones. 12 (78:12) Repay to our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, with which they have reproached thee, O Lord. 13 (78:13) For we are thy people and the sheep of thy pasture; we will give thee thanks for ever; we will declare thy praise throughout all generations.

Leeser(i) 1 A psalm of Assaph. O God! nations have entered into thy heritage; they have profaned thy holy temple; they have rendered Jerusalem heaps of ruins. 2 They have given the dead bodies of thy servants as food unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of thy pious ones unto the beasts of the earth. 3 They have shed their blood like water all round about Jerusalem: and there is no one to bury them. 4 We are become a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and derision to those that are round about us. 5 How long, Lord? wilt thou be indignant for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire? 6 Pour out thy fury over the nations that acknowledge thee not, and over the kingdoms that have not called on thy name. 7 For they have devoured Jacob, and laid waste his dwelling-place. 8 Oh remember not against us the iniquities of our fathers: make haste, let thy mercies come to our aid; for we are very miserable. 9 Help us, O God of our salvation, because of the glory of thy name; and deliver us, and atone for our sins, for the sake of thy name. 10 Wherefore shall the nations say, Where is their God? let there be made known among the nations before our eyes, the vengeance for the blood of thy servants which hath been shed. 11 Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee: according to the greatness of thy almighty power preserve thou those that are doomed to death; 12 And recompense unto our neighbors sevenfold into their bosom their defiance wherewith they have defied thee, O Lord. 13 But we thy people and the flock of thy pasture will give thanks unto thee for ever: from generation to generation will we relate thy praise.
YLT(i) 1 A Psalm of Asaph. O God, nations have come into Thy inheritance, They have defiled Thy holy temple, They made Jerusalem become heaps, 2 They gave the dead bodies of Thy servants Food for the fowls of the heavens, The flesh of Thy saints For the wild beast of the earth. 3 They have shed their blood As water round about Jerusalem, And there is none burying. 4 We have been a reproach to our neighbours, A scorn and a derision to our surrounders. 5 Till when, O Jehovah? art Thou angry for ever? Thy jealousy doth burn as fire.
6 Pour Thy fury on the nations who have not known Thee, And on kingdoms that have not called in Thy name. 7 For one hath devoured Jacob, And his habitation they have made desolate. 8 Remember not for us the iniquities of forefathers, Haste, let Thy mercies go before us, For we have been very weak. 9 Help us, O God of our salvation, Because of the honour of Thy name, And deliver us, and cover over our sins, For Thy name's sake. 10 Why do the nations say, `Where is their God?' Let be known among the nations before our eyes, The vengeance of the blood of Thy servants that is shed. 11 Let the groaning of the prisoner come in before Thee, According to the greatness of Thine arm, Leave Thou the sons of death. 12 And turn Thou back to our neighbours, Sevenfold unto their bosom, their reproach, Wherewith they reproached Thee, O Lord. 13 And we, Thy people, and the flock of Thy pasture, We give thanks to Thee to the age, To all generations we recount Thy praise!

O God, the nations have come into your heritage; they have made your holy Temple unclean; they have made Jerusalem a mass of broken walls. 2 They have given the bodies of your servants as food to the birds of the air, and the flesh of your saints to the beasts of the earth. 3 Their blood has been flowing like water round about Jerusalem; there was no one to put them in their last resting-place. 4 We are looked down on by our neighbours, we are laughed at and made sport of by those who are round us. 5 How long, O Lord? will you be angry for ever? will your wrath go on burning like fire? 6 Let your wrath be on the nations who have no knowledge of you, and on the kingdoms who have not made prayer to your name. 7 For they have taken Jacob for their meat, and made waste his house. 8 Do not keep in mind against us the sins of our fathers; let your mercy come to us quickly, for we have been made very low. 9 Give us help, O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name; take us out of danger and give us forgiveness for our sins, because of your name. 10 Why may the nations say, Where is their God? Let payment for the blood of your servants be made openly among the nations before our eyes. 11 Let the cry of the prisoner come before you; with your strong arm make free the children of death; 12 And give punishment seven times over into the breast of our neighbours for the bitter words which they have said against you, O Lord. 13 So we your people, and the sheep of your flock, will give you glory for ever: we will go on praising you through all generations.

Burns your jealousy as fire? 6 Pour out your fury on the goyim who know you not; and on the sovereigndoms who call not on your name: 7 for they devour Yaaqov and desolate his habitation of rest. 8 O remember not our first perversities against us; may your tender mercies hastily anticipate us; for we languish mightily: 9 help us, O Elohim of our salvation for the word of the honor of your name; and rescue us and kapar/atone our sins for sake of your name. 10 Why say the goyim, Where is their Elohim? may it be known among the goyim in our sight by the vengeance of the blood of your servants which is poured. 11 May the shrieking of the bound be at your face; according to the greatness of your arm may the sons of death remain; 12 and return sevenfold to the bosom of our fellow tabernaclers - for the reproach wherewith they reproach you, O Adonay. 13 and we your people and flock of your pasture - we spread hands to you eternally; we scribe your halal generation to generation.
ACV(i) 1 O God, the nations have come into thine inheritance. They have defiled thy holy temple. They have laid Jerusalem in heaps. 2 They have given the dead bodies of thy servants to be food to the birds of the heavens, the flesh of thy sanctified to the beasts of the earth. 3 They have shed their blood like water round about Jerusalem, and there was none to bury them. 4 We have become a reproach to our neighbors, a scoffing and derision to those who are round about us. 5 How long, O LORD? Will thou be angry forever? Shall thy jealousy burn like fire? 6 Pour out thy wrath upon the nations that do not know thee, and upon the kingdoms that do not call upon thy name. 7 For they have devoured Jacob, and laid waste his habitation. 8 Do not remember against us the iniquities of our forefathers. Let thy tender mercies speedily meet us, for we are brought very low. 9 Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name. And deliver us, and forgive our sins, for thy name's sake. 10 Why should the nations say, Where is their God? Let the avenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed be known among the nations in our sight. 11 Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee. According to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those who are appointed to death, 12 and render to our neighbors sevenfold into their bosom their reproach with which they have reproached thee, O Lord, 13 so we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks forever. We will show forth thy praise to all generations.

And let the avenging of Your servant's blood that has been shed be known among the heathen before our eyes. 11 Let the groaning of the prisoners come in before You; according to the greatness of Your power, preserve the sons of the slain. 12 Repay to our neighbors sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, with which they have reproached You, O Lord. 13 For we are Your people and the sheep of Your pasture; we will give You thanks forever; we will declare Your praise throughout all generations.
LXX2012(i) 1 (80) For the end, for alternate [strains], a testimony for Asaph, a Psalm concerning the Assyrian. Attend, O Shepherd of Israel, who guide Joseph like a flock; you who sit upon the cherubs, manifest yourself; 2 before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasse, stir up your power, and come to deliver us. 3 Turn us, O God, and cause your face to shine; and we shall be delivered. 4 O Lord God of hosts, how long are you angry with the prayer of your servant? 5 You will feed us with bread of tears; and will cause us to drink tears by measure. 6 You has made us a strife to our neighbors; and our enemies have mocked at us. 7 Turn us, O Lord God of hosts, and cause your face to shine; and we shall be saved. Pause. 8 You have transplanted a vine out of Egypt: you have cast out the heathen, and planted it. 9 You made a way before it, and did cause its roots to strike, and the land was filled [with it]. 10 Its shadow covered the mountains, and its shoots [equalled] the goodly cedars. 11 It sent forth its branches to the sea, and its shoots to the river. 12 Therefore have you broken down its hedge, while all that pass by the way pluck it? 13 The boar out of the wood has laid it waste, and the wild beast has devoured it. 14 O God of hosts, turn, we pray you: look on [us] from heaven, and behold and visit this vine; 15 and restore that which your right hand has planted: and look on the son of man whom you did strengthen for yourself. 16 [It is] burnt with fire and dug up: they shall perish at the rebuke of your presence. 17 Let your hand be upon the man of your right hand, and upon the son of man whom you did strengthen for yourself. 18 So will we not depart from you: you shall quicken us, and we will call upon your name. 19 Turn us, O Lord God of hosts, and make your face to shine; and we shall be saved.
NSB(i) 1 ([Psalm of Asaph]) O God, the nations have invaded the land that belongs to you. They have dishonored (defiled) your holy temple. They have left Jerusalem in ruins. 2 They have given the dead bodies of your servants to the birds for food. They have given the flesh of your godly ones to the animals. 3 They have shed the blood of your people around Jerusalem as though it were water. There is no one to bury your people. 4 We have become a disgrace to our neighbors, an object of ridicule and contempt to those around us. 5 How long, O Jehovah? Will you remain angry forever? Will your fury (zeal) continue to burn like fire? 6 Pour your fury (anger) on the nations that do not know you, on the kingdoms that have not called you. 7 They have devoured Jacob. They have destroyed his home. 8 Do not hold the crimes of our ancestors against us. Reach out to us soon with your compassion, because we are helpless. 9 Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name. Rescue us, and provide atonement for our sins for the honor of your name. 10 Why should the nations be allowed to say: Where is their God? Let us watch as the nations learn that there is punishment for shedding the blood of your servants. 11 Let the groans of prisoners come into your presence. With your powerful arm (according to the greatness of your power) rescue those who are condemned to death. 12 Pay each one of our neighbors back with seven times the number of insults they used to insult you, O Jehovah. 13 Your people, the flock in your pasture, will thank you forever. We will praise you throughout all generations.
ISV(i) 1 A Psalm of Asaph
A Prayer for Jerusalem God, nations have invaded your land to desecrate your holy Temple, to destroy Jerusalem, 2 to give the corpses of your servants as food for the birds of the skies and the flesh of your godly ones to the beasts of the earth; 3 to make their blood flow like water around Jerusalem, with no one being buried. 4 We have become a reproach to our neighbors, a mockery and a derision to those around us. 5 How long, LORD, will you be angry? Forever? Will your jealousy burn like fire? 6 Pour out your wrath upon the nations that do not acknowledge you, and over the kingdoms that do not call on your name. 7 For they consumed Jacob, making his dwelling place desolate. 8 Don’t charge us for previous iniquity, but let your compassion come quickly to us, for we have been brought very low. 9 Help us, God, our deliverer, on account of your glorious name, deliver us and forgive our sins on account of your name. 10 Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?” Let vengeance for the blood of your servants be meted out before our eyes and among the nations. 11 Let the cries of the prisoners reach you. With the strength of your power, release those condemned to death. 12 Pay back our neighbors seven times the reproach with which they reproached you, LORD. 13 Then we, your people, the sheep of your pasture, will praise you always, from generation to generation. We will declare your praise.

Will Your jealousy burn like fire? 6 Pour out Your wrath on the nations that do not acknowledge You, on the kingdoms that refuse to call on Your name, 7 for they have devoured Jacob and devastated his homeland. 8 Do not hold past sins against us; let Your compassion come quickly, for we are brought low. 9 Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name; deliver us and atone for our sins, for the sake of Your name. 10 Why should the nations ask, “Where is their God?” Before our eyes, make known among the nations Your vengeance for the bloodshed of Your servants. 11 May the groans of the captives reach You; by the strength of Your arm preserve those condemned to death. 12 Pay back into the laps of our neighbors sevenfold the reproach they hurled at You, O Lord. 13 Then we Your people, the sheep of Your pasture, will thank You forever; from generation to generation we will declare Your praise.

MLV(i) 1 O God, the nations have come into your inheritance. They have defiled your holy temple. They have laid Jerusalem in heaps.
2 They have given the dead bodies of your servants to be food to the birds of the heavens, the flesh of your holy ones to the beasts of the earth. 3 They have shed their blood like water all around Jerusalem and there was none to bury them.
4 We have become a reproach to our neighbors, a scoffing and ridicule to those who are all around us.
5 How long, O Jehovah? Will you be angry forever? Shall your jealousy burn like fire?
6 Pour out your wrath upon the nations that do not know you and upon the kingdoms that do not call upon your name. 7 Because they have devoured Jacob and laid waste his habitation.
8 Do not remember against us the iniquities of our forefathers. Let your tender mercies speedily meet us, because we are brought very low. 9 Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name. And deliver us and forgive our sins, for your name's sake.
10 Why should the nations say, Where is their God? Let the avenging of the blood of your servants which is shed be known among the nations in our sight.
11 Let the sighing of the prisoner come before you. Preserve those who are appointed to death according to the greatness of your power, 12 and render to our neighbors sevenfold into their bosom their reproach with which they have reproached you, O Lord, 13 so we your people and sheep of your pasture will give you thanks forever. We will show forth your praise to all generations.

How long will Thy jealousy burn like fire? 6 Pour out your wrath on the nations that do not know you; on the kingdoms that do not call on your name; 7 for they have devoured Jacob, and destroyed his homeland. 8 Do not keep in mind against us the sins of our fathers; let your mercy come to us quickly, for we have been made very low. 9 Help us, God of our salvation, for the glory of your name. Deliver us, and forgive our sins, for your name's sake. 10 Why should the nations say, Where is their Elohim? Let it be made known among the nations before our eyes:Vengeance for the shed blood of Your servants." 11 Let the cries of the prisoners reach you. With the strength of your power, release those condemned to death. 12 Pay back our neighbors seven times the reproach with which they reproached you, LORD. 13 Then we, your people, the sheep of your pasture, will praise you always, from generation to generation. We will declare your praise.
Luther1545(i) 1 Ein Psalm Assaphs.

DSV(i) 1 Een psalm van Asaf. O God!

Martin(i) 1 Psaume d'Asaph.
Segond(i) 1 Psaume d'Asaph.

5 Deri kur, o Zot?

Bulgarian(i) 1 (По слав.
Croatian(i) 1 Psalam. Asafov. 7 Jer izjedoše Jakova i opustošiše boravište njegovo. 11 Nek' do tebe dopru uzdasi sužanja, snagom svoje mišice poštedi predane smrti! 12 A našim susjedima vrati sedmerostruko u krilo pogrdu koju naniješe tebi, o Jahve! 13 A mi, tvoj puk i ovce paše tvoje, slavit ćemo te dovijeka, kazivat ćemo od koljena do koljena hvalu tvoju!
BKR(i) 1 Žalm Azafovi. Bože, vtrhli pohané do dědictví tvého, poškvrnili chrámu svatosti tvé, obrátili Jeruzalém v hromady. 11 Vstupiž před oblíčej tvůj lkání vězňů, a podlé velikosti síly své zanechej ostatků k smrti oddaných.
Gud! Hedningerne have brudt ind i din Arv, de have besmittet dit hellige Tempel, de have gjort Jerusalem til Stenhobe.

Finnish(i) 1 Asaphin Psalmi. 8 Älä muistele meidän entisiä pahoja tekojamme: armahda sinuas nopiasti meidän päällemme; sillä me olemme sangen viheliäisiksi tulleet.
FinnishPR(i) 1 Aasafin virsi. Yo fè lavil Jerizalèm tounen yon pil wòch. 2 Yo kite kadav moun k'ap sèvi ou yo pou zwezo nan syèl vin manje. Yo kite kadav moun k'ap viv pou ou yo pou bèt bwa vin manje. 3 Yo fè san pèp ou a koule tankou dlo larivyè. San an koule tankou dlo nan tout lavil Jerizalèm. pa t' gen pesonn pou antere kadav yo! 4 Ou fè nasyon ki bò kote nou yo ap pase nou nan betiz. Wi, yo tout ap lonje dwèt sou nou, y'ap pase nou nan rizib. 5 Seyè! jouk kilè w'ap rete fache ak nou? Gen lè se pou tout tan? Eske w'ap kite kòlè ou boule nou tankou dife? 6 Mete ou ankòlè sou nasyon ki pa konnen ou yo, sou pèp ki p'ap sèvi ou yo. 7 Paske, se yo menm ki fin touye pitit Jakòb yo, yo fin ravaje peyi kote yo rete a. 8 Tanpri, pa pini nou pou peche zansèt nou yo te fè. Gen pitye pou nou! Prese vin ede nou, paske nou fin dekouraje nèt. Pitit an pitit, n'a fè lwanj ou.

Legyen nyilvánvaló a pogányokon szemeink láttára a te szolgáid kiontott véréért való bosszúállásod. 11 Jusson elõdbe a foglyok könyörgése; karod hatalmával tartsd meg a halálnak eme fiait; 12 És fizess meg szomszédaink keblébe hétszeresen a gyalázatért, a melylyel illettek téged, oh Uram! 13 Mi pedig, a te néped és a te legelõd nyája, hálát adunk néked mindörökké, s nemzedékrõl-nemzedékre hirdetjük a te dicséretedet!
Indonesian(i) 1 Mazmur Asaf. Mereka menajiskan Rumah-Mu, Yerusalem dijadikan reruntuhan. 2 Mayat hamba-hamba-Mu mereka tinggalkan menjadi makanan burung-burung di udara. Jenazah para kekasih-Mu mereka biarkan menjadi makanan binatang liar. Kasihanilah kami segera, sebab kami putus asa. 9 Tolonglah kami ya Allah, penyelamat kami, ampunilah dosa-dosa kami dan bebaskanlah kami demi kehormatan-Mu sendiri. 10 Jangan biarkan bangsa lain bertanya tentang kami, "Di mana Allah mereka?"

4 Noi siamo stati in vituperio a’ nostri vicini; In ischerno, e in derisione a quelli che stanno d’intorno a noi.

Lithuanian(i) 1 Dieve, pagonys įsiveržė į Tavo paveldėjimą, suteršė šventyklą, pavertė Jeruzalę griuvėsiais!

Portuguese(i) 1 Ó Deus, as nações invadiram a tua herança; contaminaram o teu santo templo; reduziram Jerusalém a ruínas.
Ukrainian(i) 1 Псалом Асафів.
