  3 H559 ויאמר said H1732 לו דוד And David H335 אי   H2088 מזה   H935 תבוא comest H559 ויאמר thou? And he said H413 אליו unto H4264 ממחנה   H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H4422 נמלטתי׃ am I escaped.

  4 H559 ויאמר said H413 אליו unto H1732 דוד And David H4100 מה him, How H1961 היה went H1697 הדבר the matter? H5046 הגד tell H4994 נא I pray thee, H559 לי ויאמר me. And he answered, H834 אשׁר That H5127 נס are fled H5971 העם the people H4480 מן from H4421 המלחמה the battle, H1571 וגם also H7235 הרבה and many H5307 נפל are fallen H4480 מן of H5971 העם the people H4191 וימתו and dead; H1571 וגם also. H7586 שׁאול and Saul H3083 ויהונתן and Jonathan H1121 בנו his son H4191 מתו׃ are dead

  5 H559 ויאמר said H1732 דוד And David H413 אל unto H5288 הנער the young man H5046 המגיד that told H349 לו איך him, How H3045 ידעת knowest H3588 כי thou that H4191 מת be dead? H7586 שׁאול Saul H3083 ויהונתן and Jonathan H1121 בנו׃ his son

  7 H6437 ויפן And when he looked H310 אחריו behind H7200 ויראני him, he saw H7121 ויקרא me, and called H413 אלי unto H559 ואמר me. And I answered, H2005 הנני׃  

  8 H559 ויאמר And he said H4310 לי מי unto me, Who H859 אתה thou? H559 ויאמר And I answered H413 אליו him, H6003 עמלקי an Amalekite. H595 אנכי׃ I

  9 H559 ויאמר He said H413 אלי unto H5975 עמד me again, Stand, H4994 נא I pray thee, H5921 עלי upon H4191 ומתתני me, and slay H3588 כי me: for H270 אחזני is come H7661 השׁבץ anguish H3588 כי upon me, because H3605 כל whole H5750 עוד yet H5315 נפשׁי׃ my life

  10 H5975 ואעמד So I stood H5921 עליו upon H4191 ואמתתהו him, and slew H3588 כי him, because H3045 ידעתי I was sure H3588 כי that H3808 לא he could not H2421 יחיה live H310 אחרי after that H5307 נפלו he was fallen: H3947 ואקח and I took H5145 הנזר the crown H834 אשׁר that H5921 על upon H7218 ראשׁו his head, H685 ואצעדה and the bracelet H834 אשׁר that H5921 על on H2220 זרעו his arm, H935 ואביאם and have brought H413 אל unto H113 אדני my lord. H2008 הנה׃ them hither

  13 H559 ויאמר said H1732 דוד And David H413 אל unto H5288 הנער the young man H5046 המגיד that told H335 לו אי   H2088 מזה   H859 אתה thou? H559 ויאמר And he answered, H1121 בן the son H376 אישׁ of a stranger, H1616 גר of a stranger, H6003 עמלקי an Amalekite. H595 אנכי׃ I

  14 H559 ויאמר said H413 אליו unto H1732 דוד And David H349 איך him, How H3808 לא wast thou not H3372 יראת afraid H7971 לשׁלח to stretch forth H3027 ידך thine hand H7843 לשׁחת to destroy H853 את   H4899 משׁיח anointed? H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD's

  16 H559 ויאמר said H413 אליו unto H1732 דוד And David H1818 דמיך him, Thy blood H5921 על upon H7218 ראשׁך thy head; H3588 כי for H6310 פיך thy mouth H6030 ענה hath testified H559 בך לאמר against thee, saying, H595 אנכי I H4191 מתתי have slain H853 את   H4899 משׁיח anointed. H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD's

  24 H1323 בנות Ye daughters H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H413 אל over H7586 שׁאול Saul, H1058 בכינה weep H3847 המלבשׁכם who clothed H8144 שׁני you in scarlet, H5973 עם with H5730 עדנים delights, H5927 המעלה who put on H5716 עדי ornaments H2091 זהב of gold H5921 על upon H3830 לבושׁכן׃ your apparel.

  1 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass H310 אחרי after H3651 כן this, H7592 וישׁאל inquired H1732 דוד that David H3068 ביהוה of the LORD, H559 לאמר saying, H5927 האעלה Shall I go up H259 באחת into any H5892 ערי of the cities H3063 יהודה of Judah? H559 ויאמר said H3068 יהוה And the LORD H413 אליו unto H5927 עלה him, Go up. H559 ויאמר said, H1732 דוד And David H575 אנה Whither H5927 אעלה shall I go up? H559 ויאמר And he said, H2275 חברנה׃ Unto Hebron.

  5 H7971 וישׁלח sent H1732 דוד And David H4397 מלאכים messengers H413 אל unto H376 אנשׁי the men H3003 יבישׁ   H1568 גלעד   H559 ויאמר and said H413 אליהם unto H1288 ברכים them, Blessed H859 אתם ye H3068 ליהוה of the LORD, H834 אשׁר that H6213 עשׂיתם ye have showed H2617 החסד kindness H2088 הזה this H5973 עם unto H113 אדניכם your lord, H5973 עם unto H7586 שׁאול Saul, H6912 ותקברו and have buried H853 אתו׃  

  9 H4427 וימלכהו And made him king H413 אל over H1568 הגלעד Gilead, H413 ואל and over H805 האשׁורי   H413 ואל and over H3157 יזרעאל Jezreel, H5921 ועל and over H669 אפרים Ephraim, H5921 ועל and over H1144 בנימן Benjamin, H5921 ועל and over H3478 ישׂראל Israel. H3605 כלה׃ all

  14 H559 ויאמר said H74 אבנר And Abner H413 אל to H3097 יואב Joab, H6965 יקומו arise, H4994 נא now H5288 הנערים Let the young men H7832 וישׂחקו and play H6440 לפנינו before H559 ויאמר said, H3097 יואב us. And Joab H6965 יקמו׃ Let them arise.

  22 H3254 ויסף again H5750 עוד   H74 אבנר And Abner H559 לאמר said H413 אל to H6214 עשׂהאל Asahel, H5493 סור Turn thee aside H310 לך מאחרי from following H4100 למה me: wherefore H5221 אככה should I smite H776 ארצה thee to the ground? H349 ואיך how H5375 אשׂא then should I hold up H6440 פני my face H413 אל to H3097 יואב Joab H251 אחיך׃ thy brother?

  23 H3985 וימאן Howbeit he refused H5493 לסור to turn aside: H5221 ויכהו smote H74 אבנר wherefore Abner H310 באחרי with the hinder end of H2595 החנית the spear H413 אל him under H2570 החמשׁ the fifth H3318 ותצא came out H2595 החנית that the spear H310 מאחריו behind H5307 ויפל him; and he fell down H8033 שׁם there, H4191 וימת and died H8478 תחתו in the same place: H1961 ויהי and it came to pass, H3605 כל as many H935 הבא as came H413 אל to H4725 המקום the place H834 אשׁר where H5307 נפל fell down H8033 שׁם   H6214 עשׂהאל Asahel H4191 וימת and died H5975 ויעמדו׃ stood still.

  26 H7121 ויקרא called H74 אבנר Then Abner H413 אל to H3097 יואב Joab, H559 ויאמר and said, H5331 הלנצח forever? H398 תאכל devour H2719 חרב Shall the sword H3808 הלוא thou not H3045 ידעתה knowest H3588 כי that H4751 מרה bitterness H1961 תהיה it will be H314 באחרונה in the latter end? H5704 ועד how long H4970 מתי   H3808 לא shall it be then, ere H559 תאמר thou bid H5971 לעם the people H7725 לשׁוב return H310 מאחרי from following H251 אחיהם׃ their brethren?

  7 H7586 ולשׁאול And Saul H6370 פלגשׁ had a concubine, H8034 ושׁמה whose name H7532 רצפה Rizpah, H1323 בת the daughter H345 איה of Aiah: H559 ויאמר and said H413 אל to H74 אבנר Abner, H4069 מדוע Wherefore H935 באתה hast thou gone H413 אל in unto H6370 פילגשׁ concubine? H1 אבי׃ my father's

  8 H2734 ויחר wroth H74 לאבנר Then was Abner H3966 מאד very H5921 על for H1697 דברי the words H378 אישׁ בשׁת of Ish-bosheth, H559 ויאמר and said, H7218 הראשׁ head, H3611 כלב a dog's H595 אנכי I H834 אשׁר which H3063 ליהודה against Judah H3117 היום this day H6213 אעשׂה do show H2617 חסד kindness H5973 עם unto H1004 בית the house H7586 שׁאול of Saul H1 אביך thy father, H413 אל to H251 אחיו his brethren, H413 ואל and to H4828 מרעהו his friends, H3808 ולא and have not H4672 המציתך delivered H3027 ביד thee into the hand H1732 דוד of David, H6485 ותפקד that thou chargest H5921 עלי that thou chargest H5771 עון with a fault H802 האשׁה concerning this woman? H3117 היום׃ me today

  12 H7971 וישׁלח sent H74 אבנר And Abner H4397 מלאכים messengers H413 אל to H1732 דוד David H8478 תחתו on his behalf, H559 לאמר saying, H4310 למי Whose H776 ארץ the land? H559 לאמר saying H3772 כרתה Make H1285 בריתך thy league H854 אתי with H2009 והנה me, and, behold, H3027 ידי my hand H5973 עמך with H5437 להסב thee, to bring about H413 אליך unto H853 את   H3605 כל all H3478 ישׂראל׃ Israel

  14 H7971 וישׁלח sent H1732 דוד And David H4397 מלאכים messengers H413 אל to H378 אישׁ בשׁת Ish-bosheth H1121 בן son, H7586 שׁאול Saul's H559 לאמר saying, H5414 תנה Deliver H853 את   H802 אשׁתי my wife H853 את   H4324 מיכל Michal, H834 אשׁר which H781 ארשׂתי I espoused H3967 לי במאה to me for a hundred H6190 ערלות foreskins H6430 פלשׁתים׃ of the Philistines.

  16 H1980 וילך went H854 אתה with H376 אישׁה And her husband H1980 הלוך her along H1058 ובכה weeping H310 אחריה behind H5704 עד her to H980 בחרים Bahurim. H559 ויאמר Then said H413 אליו unto H74 אבנר Abner H1980 לך him, Go, H7725 שׁוב return. H7725 וישׁב׃ And he returned.

  18 H6258 ועתה Now H6213 עשׂו then do H3588 כי for H3068 יהוה the LORD H559 אמר hath spoken H413 אל of H1732 דוד David, H559 לאמר saying, H3027 ביד By the hand H1732 דוד David H5650 עבדי of my servant H3467 הושׁיע I will save H853 את   H5971 עמי my people H3478 ישׂראל Israel H3027 מיד out of the hand H6430 פלשׁתים of the Philistines, H3027 ומיד and out of the hand H3605 כל of all H341 איביהם׃ their enemies.

  20 H935 ויבא came H74 אבנר So Abner H413 אל to H1732 דוד David H2275 חברון to Hebron, H854 ואתו with H6242 עשׂרים and twenty H376 אנשׁים men H6213 ויעשׂ made H1732 דוד him. And David H74 לאבנר Abner H376 ולאנשׁים and the men H834 אשׁר that H854 אתו with H4960 משׁתה׃ him a feast.

  21 H559 ויאמר said H74 אבנר And Abner H413 אל unto H1732 דוד David, H6965 אקומה I will arise H1980 ואלכה and go, H6908 ואקבצה and will gather H413 אל unto H113 אדני my lord H4428 המלך the king, H853 את   H3605 כל all H3478 ישׂראל Israel H3772 ויכרתו that they may make H854 אתך with H1285 ברית a league H4427 ומלכת thee, and that thou mayest reign H3605 בכל over all H834 אשׁר that H183 תאוה desireth. H5315 נפשׁך thine heart H7971 וישׁלח sent H1732 דוד And David H853 את   H74 אבנר Abner H1980 וילך away; and he went H7965 בשׁלום׃ in peace.

  23 H3097 ויואב When Joab H3605 וכל and all H6635 הצבא the host H834 אשׁר that H854 אתו with H935 באו him were come, H5046 ויגדו they told H3097 ליואב Joab, H559 לאמר saying, H935 בא came H74 אבנר Abner H1121 בן the son H5369 נר of Ner H413 אל to H4428 המלך the king, H7971 וישׁלחהו and he hath sent him away, H1980 וילך and he is gone H7965 בשׁלום׃ in peace.

  24 H935 ויבא came H3097 יואב Then Joab H413 אל to H4428 המלך the king, H559 ויאמר and said, H4100 מה What H6213 עשׂיתה hast thou done? H2009 הנה behold, H935 בא came H74 אבנר Abner H413 אליך unto H4100 למה thee; why H2088 זה   H7971 שׁלחתו it thou hast sent him away, H1980 וילך and he is quite gone? H1980 הלוך׃  

  27 H7725 וישׁב was returned H74 אבנר And when Abner H2275 חברון to Hebron, H5186 ויטהו took him aside H3097 יואב Joab H413 אל in H8432 תוך in H8179 השׁער the gate H1696 לדבר to speak H854 אתו with H7987 בשׁלי him quietly, H5221 ויכהו and smote H8033 שׁם him there H2570 החמשׁ under the fifth H4191 וימת that he died, H1818 בדם for the blood H6214 עשׂה אל of Asahel H251 אחיו׃ his brother.
