  18 H4397 Then the angel H3068 of the Lord H559 commanded H1410 Gad H559 to say H1732 to David, H1732 that David H5927 should go up, H6965 and set up H4196 an altar H3068 unto the Lord H1637 in the threshingfloor H771 of Ornan H2983 the Jebusite.
  19 H1732 And David H5927 went up H1697 at the saying H1410 of Gad, H1696 which he spoke H8034 in the name H3068 of the Lord.
  20 H771 And Ornan H7725 turned back, H7200 and saw H4397 the angel; H702 and his four H1121 sons H2244 with him hid H771 themselves. Now Ornan H1758 was threshing H2406 wheat.
  21 H1732 And as David H935 came H771 to Ornan, H771 Ornan H5027 looked H7200 and saw H1732 David, H3318 and went out H1637 of the threshingfloor, H7812 and bowed H1732 himself to David H639 with his face H776 to the ground.
  22 H1732 Then David H559 said H771 to Ornan, H5414 Grant H4725 me the place H1637 of this threshingfloor, H1129 that I may build H4196 an altar H3068 in it unto the Lord: H5414 you shall grant H4392 it me for the full H3701 price: H4046 that the plague H6113 may be stayed H5971 from the people.
  23 H771 And Ornan H559 said H1732 unto David, H3947 Take H113 it to you, and let my lord H4428 the king H6213 do H2896 that which is good H5869 in his eyes: H7200 behold, H5414 I give H1241 you the oxen H5930 also for burnt offerings, H4173 and the threshing instruments H6086 for wood, H2406 and the wheat H4503 for the food offering; H5414 I give it all.
  24 H4428 And king H1732 David H559 said H771 to Ornan, H7069 No; but I will truly H7069 buy H4392 it for the full H3701 price: H5375 for I will not take H3068 that which is yours for the Lord, H5927 nor offer H5930 burnt offerings H2600 without cost.
  25 H1732 So David H5414 gave H771 to Ornan H4725 for the place H8337 six H3967 hundred H8255 shekels H2091 of gold H4948 by weight.
  26 H1732 And David H1129 built H4196 there an altar H3068 unto the Lord, H5927 and offered H5930 burnt offerings H8002 and peace offerings, H7121 and called H3068 upon the Lord; H6030 and he answered H8064 him from heaven H784 by fire H4196 upon the altar H5930 of burnt offering.
  27 H3068 And the Lord H559 commanded H4397 the angel; H7725 and he put up H2719 his sword H7725 again H5084 into the sheath there.
  28 H6256 At that time H1732 when David H7200 saw H3068 that the Lord H6030 had answered H1637 him in the threshingfloor H771 of Ornan H2983 the Jebusite, H2076 then he sacrificed there.
  29 H4908 For the tabernacle H3068 of the Lord, H4872 which Moses H6213 made H4057 in the wilderness, H4196 and the altar H5930 of the burnt offering, H6256 were at that season H1116 in the high place H1391 at Gibeon.
  30 H1732 But David H3201 could H3212 not go H6440 before H1875 it to inquire H430 of God: H1204 for he was afraid H6440 because H2719 of the sword H4397 of the angel H3068 of the Lord.
