1 Chronicles 21:18-30

  18 H4397 ומלאך Then the angel H3068 יהוה of the LORD H559 אמר commanded H413 אל commanded H1410 גד Gad H559 לאמר to say H1732 לדויד to David, H3588 כי that H5927 יעלה should go up, H1732 דויד David H6965 להקים and set up H4196 מזבח an altar H3068 ליהוה unto the LORD H1637 בגרן in the threshingfloor H771 ארנן of Ornan H2983 היבסי׃ the Jebusite.
  19 H5927 ויעל went up H1732 דויד And David H1697 בדבר at the saying H1410 גד of Gad, H834 אשׁר which H1696 דבר he spoke H8034 בשׁם in the name H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD.
  20 H7725 וישׁב turned back, H771 ארנן And Ornan H7200 וירא and saw H853 את   H4397 המלאך the angel; H702 וארבעת and his four H1121 בניו sons H5973 עמו with H2244 מתחבאים him hid themselves. H771 וארנן Now Ornan H1758 דשׁ was threshing H2406 חטים׃ wheat.
  21 H935 ויבא came H1732 דויד And as David H5704 עד to H771 ארנן Ornan, H5027 ויבט looked H771 ארנן Ornan H7200 וירא and saw H853 את   H1732 דויד David, H3318 ויצא and went out H4480 מן of H1637 הגרן the threshingfloor, H7812 וישׁתחו and bowed himself H1732 לדויד to David H639 אפים with face H776 ארצה׃ to the ground.
  22 H559 ויאמר said H1732 דויד Then David H413 אל to H771 ארנן Ornan, H5414 תנה Grant H4725 לי מקום me the place H1637 הגרן of threshingfloor, H1129 ואבנה that I may build H4196 בו מזבח an altar H3068 ליהוה therein unto the LORD: H3701 בכסף price: H4392 מלא it me for the full H5414 תנהו thou shalt grant H6113 לי ותעצר may be stayed H4046 המגפה that the plague H5921 מעל from H5971 העם׃ the people.
  23 H559 ויאמר said H771 ארנן And Ornan H413 אל unto H1732 דויד David, H3947 קח Take H6213 לך ויעשׂ do H113 אדני to thee, and let my lord H4428 המלך the king H2896 הטוב good H5869 בעיניו in his eyes: H7200 ראה lo, H5414 נתתי I give H1241 הבקר the oxen H5930 לעלות for burnt offerings, H4173 והמורגים and the threshing instruments H6086 לעצים for wood, H2406 והחטים and the wheat H4503 למנחה for the meat offering; H3605 הכל it all. H5414 נתתי׃ I give
  24 H559 ויאמר said H4428 המלך And king H1732 דויד David H771 לארנן to Ornan, H3808 לא Nay; H3588 כי but H7069 קנה   H7069 אקנה   H3701 בכסף price: H4392 מלא it for the full H3588 כי for H3808 לא I will not H5375 אשׂא take H834 אשׁר which H3068 לך ליהוה thine for the LORD, H5927 והעלות nor offer H5930 עולה burnt offerings H2600 חנם׃ without cost.
  25 H5414 ויתן gave H1732 דויד So David H771 לארנן to Ornan H4725 במקום for the place H8255 שׁקלי shekels H2091 זהב of gold H4948 משׁקל by weight. H8337 שׁשׁ six H3967 מאות׃ hundred
  26 H1129 ויבן built H8033 שׁם there H1732 דויד And David H4196 מזבח an altar H3068 ליהוה unto the LORD, H5927 ויעל and offered H5930 עלות burnt offerings H8002 ושׁלמים and peace offerings, H7121 ויקרא and called H413 אל upon H3068 יהוה the LORD; H6030 ויענהו and he answered H784 באשׁ by fire H4480 מן him from H8064 השׁמים heaven H5921 על upon H4196 מזבח the altar H5930 העלה׃ of burnt offering.
  27 H559 ויאמר commanded H3068 יהוה And the LORD H4397 למלאך the angel; H7725 וישׁב and he put up his sword again H2719 חרבו and he put up his sword again H413 אל into H5084 נדנה׃ the sheath
  28 H6256 בעת time H1931 ההיא At that H7200 בראות saw H1732 דויד when David H3588 כי that H6030 ענהו had answered H3068 יהוה the LORD H1637 בגרן him in the threshingfloor H771 ארנן of Ornan H2983 היבוסי the Jebusite, H2076 ויזבח then he sacrificed H8033 שׁם׃ there.
  29 H4908 ומשׁכן For the tabernacle H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H834 אשׁר which H6213 עשׂה made H4872 משׁה Moses H4057 במדבר in the wilderness, H4196 ומזבח and the altar H5930 העולה of the burnt offering, H6256 בעת season H1931 ההיא at that H1116 בבמה in the high place H1391 בגבעון׃ at Gibeon.
  30 H3808 ולא not H3201 יכל could H1732 דויד But David H1980 ללכת go H6440 לפניו before H1875 לדרשׁ it to inquire H430 אלהים of God: H3588 כי for H1204 נבעת he was afraid H6440 מפני because H2719 חרב of the sword H4397 מלאך of the angel H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD.
