Numbers 21 And when king Arad the Canaanite, which lived in the south, heard tell that Israel came by the way of the spies; then he fought against Israel, and took some of them prisoners.

1 H4428 And when king H6166 Arad H3669 the Canaanite, H3427 which lived H5045 in the south, H8085 heard H3478 tell that Israel H935 came H1870 by the way H871 of the spies; H3898 then he fought H3478 against Israel, H7617 and took H7628 some of them prisoners.

2 H3478 And Israel H5087 vowed H5088 a vow H3068 unto the Lord, H559 and said, H5414 If you will indeed H5414 deliver H5971 this people H3027 into my hand, H2763 then I will utterly destroy H5892 their cities.

3 H3068 And the Lord H8085 listened H6963 to the voice H3478 of Israel, H5414 and delivered up H3669 the Canaanites; H2763 and they utterly destroyed H5892 them and their cities: H7121 and he called H8034 the name H4725 of the place H2767 Hormah.

4 H5265 And they journeyed H2022 from mountain H2023 Hor H1870 by the way H5488 of the Red H3220 sea, H5437 to compass H776 the land H123 of Edom: H5315 and the soul H5971 of the people H7114 was much discouraged H1870 because of the way.

9 H4872 And Moses H6213 made H5175 a serpent H5178 of brass, H7760 and put H5251 it upon a pole, H5175 and it came to pass, that if a serpent H5391 had bitten H376 any man, H5027 when he looked H5175 the serpent H5178 of brass, H2425 he lived.

10 H1121 And the sons H3478 of Israel H5265 set forward, H2583 and pitched H88 in Oboth.

11 H5265 And they journeyed H88 from Oboth, H2583 and pitched H5863 at Ije–abarim, H4057 in the wilderness H6440 which is before H4124 Moab, H4217 toward the sunrising.

12 H5265 From there they removed, H2583 and pitched H5158 in the valley H2218 of Zared.

13 H5265 From there they removed, H2583 and pitched H5676 on the other side H769 of Arnon, H4057 which is in the wilderness H3318 that comes out H1366 of the coasts H567 of the Amorites: H769 for Arnon H1366 is the border H4124 of Moab, H4124 between Moab H567 and the Amorites.

14 H559 Why it is said H5612 in the book H4421 of the wars H3068 of the Lord, H2052 What he did H5492 in the Red sea, H5158 and in the brooks H769 of Arnon,

15 H793 And at the stream H5158 of the brooks H5186 that goes down H3427 to the living H6144 of Ar, H8172 and lies H1366 upon the border H4124 of Moab.

21 H3478 And Israel H7971 sent H4397 messengers H5511 unto Sihon H4428 king H567 of the Amorites, H559 saying,

22 H5674 Let me pass H776 through your land: H5186 we will not turn H7704 into the fields, H3754 or into the vineyards; H8354 we will not drink H4325 of the waters H875 of the well: H3212 but we will go along H4428 by the king's H1870 high way, H5674 until we be past H1366 your borders.

23 H5511 And Sihon H5414 would not allow H3478 Israel H5674 to pass H1366 through his border: H5511 but Sihon H622 gathered H5971 all his people H622 together, H3318 and went out H7125 against H3478 Israel H4057 into the wilderness: H935 and he came H3096 to Jahaz, H3898 and fought H3478 against Israel.

24 H3478 And Israel H5221 struck H6310 him with the edge H2719 of the sword, H3423 and possessed H776 his land H769 from Arnon H2999 unto Jabbok, H1121 even unto the sons H5983 of Ammon: H1366 for the border H1121 of the sons H5983 of Ammon H5794 was strong.

25 H3478 And Israel H3947 took H5892 all these cities: H3478 and Israel H3427 lived H5892 in all the cities H567 of the Amorites, H2809 in Heshbon, H1323 and in all the villages there.

26 H2809 For Heshbon H5892 was the city H5511 of Sihon H4428 the king H567 of the Amorites, H3898 who had fought H7223 against the former H4428 king H4124 of Moab, H3947 and taken H776 all his land H3027 out of his hand, H769 even unto Arnon.

27 H4911 Why they that speak in proverbs H559 say, H935 Come H2809 into Heshbon, H5892 let the city H5511 of Sihon H1129 be built H3559 and prepared:

28 H784 For there is a fire H3318 gone out H2809 of Heshbon, H3852 a flame H7151 from the city H5511 of Sihon: H398 it has consumed H6144 Ar H4124 of Moab, H1181 and the lords of the high places H769 of Arnon.

29 H188 Woe H4124 to you, Moab! H6 you are undone, H5971 O people H3645 of Chemosh: H5414 he has given H1121 his sons H6412 that escaped, H1323 and his daughters, H7622 into captivity H5511 unto Sihon H4428 king H567 of the Amorites.

30 H3384 We have shot H2809 at them; Heshbon H6 is perished H1769 even unto Dibon, H8074 and we have laid them waste H5302 even unto Nophah, H4311 which reaches unto Medeba.

31 H3478 Thus Israel H3427 lived H776 in the land H567 of the Amorites.

32 H4872 And Moses H7971 sent H7270 to spy out H3270 Jaazer, H3920 and they took H1323 the villages H3423 there, and drove out H567 the Amorites that were there.

33 H6437 And they turned H5927 and went up H1870 by the way H1316 of Bashan: H5747 and Og H4428 the king H1316 of Bashan H3318 went out H7125 against H5971 them, he, and all his people, H4421 to the battle H154 at Edrei.

34 H3068 And the Lord H559 said H4872 unto Moses, H3372 Fear H5414 him not: for I have delivered H3027 him into your hand, H5971 and all his people, H776 and his land; H6213 and you shall do H6213 to him as you did H5511 unto Sihon H4428 king H567 of the Amorites, H3427 which lived H2809 at Heshbon.

35 H5221 So they struck H1121 him, and his sons, H5971 and all his people, H1115 until there was none H7604 left H8300 him alive: H3423 and they possessed H776 his land.
