KJV_Strongs(i)
H1697 The word H3068 of the LORD H3414 which came to Jeremiah H5030 the prophet H1471 against the Gentiles;
H4714 Against Egypt H2428 , against the army H6549 of Pharaohnecho H4428 king H4714 of Egypt H5104 , which was by the river H6578 Euphrates H3751 in Carchemish H5019 , which Nebuchadrezzar H4428 king H894 of Babylon H5221 smote [H8689]   H7243 in the fourth H8141 year H3079 of Jehoiakim H1121 the son H2977 of Josiah H4428 king H3063 of Judah.
H6186 Order [H8798]   H4043 ye the buckler H6793 and shield H5066 , and draw near [H8798]   H4421 to battle.
H631 Harness [H8798]   H5483 the horses H5927 ; and get up [H8798]   H6571 , ye horsemen H3320 , and stand forth [H8690]   H3553 with your helmets H4838 ; furbish [H8798]   H7420 the spears H3847 , and put on [H8798]   H5630 the brigandines.
H7200 Wherefore have I seen [H8804]   H2844 them dismayed H5472 and turned [H8737]   H268 away back H1368 ? and their mighty ones H3807 are beaten down [H8714]   H5127 , and are fled [H8804]   H4498 apace H6437 , and look not back [H8689]   H4032 : for fear H5439 was round about H5002 , saith [H8803]   H3068 the LORD.
H7031 Let not the swift H5127 flee away [H8799]   H1368 , nor the mighty man H4422 escape [H8735]   H3782 ; they shall stumble [H8804]   H5307 , and fall [H8804]   H6828 toward the north H3027 by H5104 the river H6578 Euphrates.
H5927 Who is this that cometh up [H8799]   H2975 as a flood H4325 , whose waters H1607 are moved [H8691]   H5104 as the rivers?
H4714 Egypt H5927 riseth up [H8799]   H2975 like a flood H4325 , and his waters H1607 are moved [H8704]   H5104 like the rivers H559 ; and he saith [H8799]   H5927 , I will go up [H8799]   H3680 , and will cover [H8762]   H776 the earth H6 ; I will destroy [H8686]   H5892 the city H3427 and the inhabitants [H8802]   thereof.
H5927 Come up [H8798]   H5483 , ye horses H1984 ; and rage [H8703]   H7393 , ye chariots H1368 ; and let the mighty men H3318 come forth [H8799]   H3568 ; the Ethiopians H6316 and the Libyans H8610 , that handle [H8802]   H4043 the shield H3866 ; and the Lydians H8610 , that handle [H8802]   H1869 and bend [H8802]   H7198 the bow.
H3117 For this is the day H136 of the Lord H3069 GOD H6635 of hosts H3117 , a day H5360 of vengeance H5358 , that he may avenge [H8736]   H6862 him of his adversaries H2719 : and the sword H398 shall devour [H8804]   H7646 , and it shall be satiate [H8804]   H7301 and made drunk [H8804]   H1818 with their blood H136 : for the Lord H3069 GOD H6635 of hosts H2077 hath a sacrifice H6828 in the north H776 country H5104 by the river H6578 Euphrates.
H5927 Go up [H8798]   H1568 into Gilead H3947 , and take [H8798]   H6875 balm H1330 , O virgin H1323 , the daughter H4714 of Egypt H7723 : in vain H7235 shalt thou use many [H8689]   H7499 medicines H8585 ; for thou shalt not be cured.
H1471 The nations H8085 have heard [H8804]   H7036 of thy shame H6682 , and thy cry H4390 hath filled [H8804]   H776 the land H1368 : for the mighty man H3782 hath stumbled [H8804]   H1368 against the mighty H5307 , and they are fallen [H8804]   H8147 both H3162 together.
H1697 The word H3068 that the LORD H1696 spake [H8765]   H3414 to Jeremiah H5030 the prophet H5019 , how Nebuchadrezzar H4428 king H894 of Babylon H935 should come [H8800]   H5221 and smite [H8687]   H776 the land H4714 of Egypt.
H5046 Declare [H8685]   H4714 ye in Egypt H8085 , and publish [H8685]   H4024 in Migdol H8085 , and publish [H8685]   H5297 in Noph H8471 and in Tahpanhes H559 : say [H8798]   H3320 ye, Stand fast [H8690]   H3559 , and prepare [H8685]   H2719 thee; for the sword H398 shall devour [H8804]   H5439 round about thee.
H47 Why are thy valiant H5502 men swept away [H8738]   H5975 ? they stood [H8804]   H3068 not, because the LORD H1920 did drive [H8804]   them.
H7235 He made many [H8689]   H3782 to fall [H8802]   H376 , yea, one H5307 fell [H8804]   H7453 upon another H559 : and they said [H8799]   H6965 , Arise [H8798]   H7725 , and let us go again [H8799]   H5971 to our own people H776 , and to the land H4138 of our nativity H6440 , from H3238 the oppressing [H8802]   H2719 sword.
H7121 They did cry [H8804]   H6547 there, Pharaoh H4428 king H4714 of Egypt H7588 is but a noise H5674 ; he hath passed [H8689]   H4150 the time appointed.
H2416 As I live H5002 , saith [H8803]   H4428 the King H8034 , whose name H3068 is the LORD H6635 of hosts H8396 , Surely as Tabor H2022 is among the mountains H3760 , and as Carmel H3220 by the sea H935 , so shall he come [H8799]  .
H1323 O thou daughter H3427 dwelling [H8802]   H4714 in Egypt H6213 , furnish [H8798]   H3627 thyself to go into captivity H1473   H5297 : for Noph H8047 shall be waste H3341 and desolate [H8738]   H3427 without an inhabitant [H8802]  .
H4714 Egypt H3304 is like a very fair H5697 heifer H7171 , but destruction H935 cometh [H8804]   H935 ; it cometh out [H8804]   H6828 of the north.
H7916 Also her hired men H7130 are in the midst H4770 of her like fatted H5695 bullocks H6437 ; for they also are turned back [H8689]   H5127 , and are fled away [H8804]   H3162 together H5975 : they did not stand [H8804]   H3117 , because the day H343 of their calamity H935 was come [H8804]   H6256 upon them, and the time H6486 of their visitation.
H6963 The voice H3212 thereof shall go [H8799]   H5175 like a serpent H3212 ; for they shall march [H8799]   H2428 with an army H935 , and come [H8804]   H7134 against her with axes H2404 , as hewers [H8802]   H6086 of wood.
H3772 They shall cut down [H8804]   H3293 her forest H5002 , saith [H8803]   H3068 the LORD H2713 , though it cannot be searched [H8735]   H7231 ; because they are more [H8804]   H697 than the grasshoppers H369 , and are innumerable H4557  .
H1323 The daughter H4714 of Egypt H3001 shall be confounded [H8689]   H5414 ; she shall be delivered [H8738]   H3027 into the hand H5971 of the people H6828 of the north.
H3068 The LORD H6635 of hosts H430 , the God H3478 of Israel H559 , saith [H8804]   H6485 ; Behold, I will punish [H8802]   H527 the multitude [H8676]   H528   H4996 of No H6547 , and Pharaoh H4714 , and Egypt H430 , with their gods H4428 , and their kings H6547 ; even Pharaoh H982 , and all them that trust [H8802]   in him:
H5414 And I will deliver [H8804]   H3027 them into the hand H1245 of those that seek [H8764]   H5315 their lives H3027 , and into the hand H5019 of Nebuchadrezzar H4428 king H894 of Babylon H3027 , and into the hand H5650 of his servants H310 : and afterward H7931 it shall be inhabited [H8799]   H3117 , as in the days H6924 of old H5002 , saith [H8803]   H3068 the LORD.
H3372 But fear [H8799]   H5650 not thou, O my servant H3290 Jacob H2865 , and be not dismayed [H8735]   H3478 , O Israel H3467 : for, behold, I will save [H8688]   H7350 thee from afar off H2233 , and thy seed H776 from the land H7628 of their captivity H3290 ; and Jacob H7725 shall return [H8804]   H8252 , and be in rest [H8804]   H7599 and at ease [H8768]   H2729 , and none shall make him afraid [H8688]  .
H3372 Fear [H8799]   H3290 thou not, O Jacob H5650 my servant H5002 , saith [H8803]   H3068 the LORD H6213 : for I am with thee; for I will make [H8799]   H3617 a full end H1471 of all the nations H5080 whither I have driven [H8689]   H6213 thee: but I will not make [H8799]   H3617 a full end H3256 of thee, but correct [H8765]   H4941 thee in measure H5352 ; yet will I not leave thee wholly [H8763]   H5352 unpunished [H8762]  .
ERV(i) 1 The word of the LORD which came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the nations. 2 Of Egypt: concerning the army of Pharaoh-neco, king of Egypt, which was by the river Euphrates in Carchemish, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon smote in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah. 3 Order ye the buckler and shield, and draw near to battle. 4 Harness the horses, and get up, ye horsemen, and stand forth with your helmets; furbish the spears, put on the coats of mail. 5 Wherefore have I seen it? they are dismayed and are turned backward; and their mighty ones are beaten down, and are fled apace, and look not back: terror is on every side, saith the LORD. 6 Let not the swift flee away, nor the mighty man escape; in the north by the river Euphrates have they stumbled, and fallen. 7 Who is this that riseth up like the Nile, whose waters toss themselves like the rivers? 8 Egypt riseth up like the Nile, and his waters toss themselves like the rivers: and he saith, I will rise up, I will cover the earth; I will destroy the city and the inhabitants thereof. 9 Go up, ye horses; and rage, ye chariots; and let the mighty men go forth: Cush and Put, that handle the shield; and the Ludim, that handle and bend the bow. 10 For that day is [a day] of the Lord, the LORD of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour and be satiate, and shall drink its fill of their blood: for the Lord, the LORD of hosts, hath a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates. 11 Go up into Gilead, and take balm, O virgin daughter of Egypt: in vain dost thou use many medicines; there is no healing for thee. 12 The nations have heard of thy shame, and the earth is full of thy cry: for the mighty man hath stumbled against the mighty, they are fallen both of them together. 13 The word that the LORD spake to Jeremiah the prophet, how that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon should come and smite the land of Egypt. 14 Declare ye in Egypt, and publish in Migdol, and publish in Noph and in Tahpanhes: say ye, stand forth, and prepare thee; for the sword hath devoured round about thee. 15 Why are thy strong ones swept away? they stood not, because the LORD did drive them. 16 He made many to stumble, yea, they fell one upon another: and they said, Arise, and let us go again to our own people, and to the land of our nativity, from the oppressing sword. 17 They cried there, Pharaoh king of Egypt is but a noise; he hath let the appointed time pass by. 18 As I live, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts, surely like Tabor among the mountains, and like Carmel by the sea, so shall he come. 19 O thou daughter that dwellest in Egypt, furnish thyself to go into captivity: for Noph shall become a desolation, and shall be burnt up, without inhabitant. 20 Egypt is a very fair heifer; [but] destruction out of the north is come, it is come. 21 Also her hired men in the midst of her are like calves of the stall; for they also are turned back, they are fled away together, they did not stand: for the day of their calamity is come upon them, the time of their visitation. 22 The sound thereof shall go like the serpent; for they shall march with an army, and come against her with axes, as hewers of wood. 23 They shall cut down her forest, saith the LORD, though it cannot be searched; because they are more than the locusts, and are innumerable. 24 The daughter of Egypt shall be put to shame; she shall be delivered into the hand of the people of the north. 25 The LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saith: Behold, I will punish Amon of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with her gods, and her kings; even Pharaoh, and them that trust in him: 26 and I will deliver them into the hand of those that seek their lives, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants: and afterwards it shall be inhabited, as in the days of old, saith the LORD. 27 But fear not thou, O Jacob my servant, neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, low, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be quiet and at ease, and none shall make him afraid. 28 Fear not thou, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD; for I am with thee: for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee, but I will not make a full end of thee; but I will correct thee with judgment, and will in no wise leave thee unpunished.
