  4 H5291 And the damsel H3966 was very H3303 fair H5532 , and cherished [H8802]   H4428 the king H8334 , and ministered [H8762]   H4428 to him: but the king H3045 knew [H8804]   her not.
  5 H138 Then Adonijah H1121 the son H2294 of Haggith H4984 exalted [H8693]   H559 himself, saying [H8800]   H4427 , I will be king [H8799]   H6213 : and he prepared [H8799]   H7393 him chariots H6571 and horsemen H2572 , and fifty H376 men H7323 to run [H8801]   H6440 before him.
  6 H1 And his father H6087 had not displeased [H8804]   H3117 him at any time H559 in saying [H8800]   H6213 , Why hast thou done so [H8804]   H3966 ? and he also was a very H2896 goodly H8389   H3205 man; and his mother bare [H8804]   H310 him after H53 Absalom.
  7 H1697 And he conferred H3097 with Joab H1121 the son H6870 of Zeruiah H54 , and with Abiathar H3548 the priest H310 : and they following H138 Adonijah H5826 helped [H8799]   him .
  8 H6659 But Zadok H3548 the priest H1141 , and Benaiah H1121 the son H3077 of Jehoiada H5416 , and Nathan H5030 the prophet H8096 , and Shimei H7472 , and Rei H1368 , and the mighty men H1732 which belonged to David H138 , were not with Adonijah.
  9 H138 And Adonijah H2076 slew [H8799]   H6629 sheep H1241 and oxen H4806 and fat cattle H68 by the stone H2120 of Zoheleth H681 , which is by H5883 Enrogel H7121 , and called [H8799]   H251 all his brethren H4428 the king's H1121 sons H582 , and all the men H3063 of Judah H4428 the king's H5650 servants:
  10 H5416 But Nathan H5030 the prophet H1141 , and Benaiah H1368 , and the mighty men H8010 , and Solomon H251 his brother H7121 , he called [H8804]   not.
  11 H5416 Wherefore Nathan H559 spake [H8799]   H1339 unto Bathsheba H517 the mother H8010 of Solomon H559 , saying [H8800]   H8085 , Hast thou not heard [H8804]   H138 that Adonijah H1121 the son H2294 of Haggith H4427 doth reign [H8804]   H1732 , and David H113 our lord H3045 knoweth [H8804]   it not?
  12 H3212 Now therefore come [H8798]   H3289 , let me, I pray thee, give thee counsel [H8799]   H6098   H4422 , that thou mayest save [H8761]   H5315 thine own life H5315 , and the life H1121 of thy son H8010 Solomon.
  13 H3212 Go [H8798]   H935 and get thee in [H8798]   H4428 unto king H1732 David H559 , and say [H8804]   H113 unto him, Didst not thou, my lord H4428 , O king H7650 , swear [H8738]   H519 unto thine handmaid H559 , saying [H8800]   H3588 , Assuredly H8010 Solomon H1121 thy son H4427 shall reign [H8799]   H310 after H3427 me, and he shall sit [H8799]   H3678 upon my throne H138 ? why then doth Adonijah H4427 reign [H8804]  ?
  14 H1696 Behold, while thou yet talkest [H8764]   H4428 there with the king H935 , I also will come in [H8799]   H310 after H4390 thee, and confirm [H8765]   H1697 thy words.
  15 H1339 And Bathsheba H935 went in [H8799]   H4428 unto the king H2315 into the chamber H4428 : and the king H3966 was very H2204 old [H8804]   H49 ; and Abishag H7767 the Shunammite H8334 ministered [H8764]   H4428 unto the king.
  16 H1339 And Bathsheba H6915 bowed [H8799]   H7812 , and did obeisance [H8691]   H4428 unto the king H4428 . And the king H559 said [H8799]  , What wouldest thou?
  17 H559 And she said [H8799]   H113 unto him, My lord H7650 , thou swarest [H8738]   H3068 by the LORD H430 thy God H519 unto thine handmaid H8010 , saying, Assuredly Solomon H1121 thy son H4427 shall reign [H8799]   H310 after H3427 me, and he shall sit [H8799]   H3678 upon my throne.
  18 H138 And now, behold, Adonijah H4427 reigneth [H8804]   H113 ; and now, my lord H4428 the king H3045 , thou knowest [H8804]   it not:
  19 H2076 And he hath slain [H8799]   H7794 oxen H4806 and fat cattle H6629 and sheep H7230 in abundance H7121 , and hath called [H8799]   H1121 all the sons H4428 of the king H54 , and Abiathar H3548 the priest H3097 , and Joab H8269 the captain H6635 of the host H8010 : but Solomon H5650 thy servant H7121 hath he not called [H8804]  .
  20 H113 And thou, my lord H4428 , O king H5869 , the eyes H3478 of all Israel H5046 are upon thee, that thou shouldest tell [H8687]   H3427 them who shall sit [H8799]   H3678 on the throne H113 of my lord H4428 the king H310 after him.
  21 H113 Otherwise it shall come to pass, when my lord H4428 the king H7901 shall sleep [H8800]   H1 with his fathers H1121 , that I and my son H8010 Solomon H2400 shall be counted offenders.
  22 H1696 And, lo, while she yet talked [H8764]   H4428 with the king H5416 , Nathan H5030 the prophet H935 also came in [H8804]  .
  23 H5046 And they told [H8686]   H4428 the king H559 , saying [H8800]   H5416 , Behold Nathan H5030 the prophet H935 . And when he was come in [H8799]   H6440 before H4428 the king H7812 , he bowed [H8691]   H4428 himself before the king H639 with his face H776 to the ground.
  24 H5416 And Nathan H559 said [H8799]   H113 , My lord H4428 , O king H559 , hast thou said [H8804]   H138 , Adonijah H4427 shall reign [H8799]   H310 after H3427 me, and he shall sit [H8799]   H3678 upon my throne?
  25 H3381 For he is gone down [H8804]   H3117 this day H2076 , and hath slain [H8799]   H7794 oxen H4806 and fat cattle H6629 and sheep H7230 in abundance H7121 , and hath called [H8799]   H4428 all the king's H1121 sons H8269 , and the captains H6635 of the host H54 , and Abiathar H3548 the priest H398 ; and, behold, they eat [H8802]   H8354 and drink [H8802]   H6440 before H559 him, and say [H8799]   H2421 , God save [H8799]   H4428 king H138 Adonijah.
  26 H5650 But me, even me thy servant H6659 , and Zadok H3548 the priest H1141 , and Benaiah H1121 the son H3077 of Jehoiada H5650 , and thy servant H8010 Solomon H7121 , hath he not called [H8804]  .
  27 H1697 Is this thing H1961 done [H8738]   H113 by my lord H4428 the king H3045 , and thou hast not shewed [H8689]   H5650 it unto thy servant H3427 , who should sit [H8799]   H3678 on the throne H113 of my lord H4428 the king H310 after him?
  28 H4428 Then king H1732 David H6030 answered [H8799]   H559 and said [H8799]   H7121 , Call [H8798]   H1339 me Bathsheba H935 . And she came [H8799]   H4428 into the king's H6440 presence H5975 , and stood [H8799]   H6440 before H4428 the king.
  29 H4428 And the king H7650 sware [H8735]   H559 , and said [H8799]   H3068 , As the LORD H2416 liveth H6299 , that hath redeemed [H8804]   H5315 my soul H6869 out of all distress,
  30 H7650 Even as I sware [H8738]   H3068 unto thee by the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel H559 , saying [H8800]   H8010 , Assuredly Solomon H1121 thy son H4427 shall reign [H8799]   H310 after H3427 me, and he shall sit [H8799]   H3678 upon my throne H6213 in my stead; even so will I certainly do [H8799]   H3117 this day.
  31 H1339 Then Bathsheba H6915 bowed [H8799]   H639 with her face H776 to the earth H7812 , and did reverence [H8691]   H4428 to the king H559 , and said [H8799]   H113 , Let my lord H4428 king H1732 David H2421 live [H8799]   H5769 for ever.
  32 H4428 And king H1732 David H559 said [H8799]   H7121 , Call [H8798]   H6659 me Zadok H3548 the priest H5416 , and Nathan H5030 the prophet H1141 , and Benaiah H1121 the son H3077 of Jehoiada H935 . And they came [H8799]   H6440 before H4428 the king.
  33 H4428 The king H559 also said [H8799]   H3947 unto them, Take [H8798]   H5650 with you the servants H113 of your lord H8010 , and cause Solomon H1121 my son H7392 to ride [H8689]   H6506 upon mine own mule H3381 , and bring him down [H8689]   H1521 to Gihon:
  34 H6659 And let Zadok H3548 the priest H5416 and Nathan H5030 the prophet H4886 anoint [H8804]   H4428 him there king H3478 over Israel H8628 : and blow [H8804]   H7782 ye with the trumpet H559 , and say [H8804]   H2421 , God save [H8799]   H4428 king H8010 Solomon.
  35 H5927 Then ye shall come up [H8804]   H310 after H935 him, that he may come [H8804]   H3427 and sit [H8804]   H3678 upon my throne H4427 ; for he shall be king [H8799]   H6680 in my stead: and I have appointed [H8765]   H5057 him to be ruler H3478 over Israel H3063 and over Judah.
  36 H1141 And Benaiah H1121 the son H3077 of Jehoiada H6030 answered [H8799]   H4428 the king H559 , and said [H8799]   H543 , Amen H3068 : the LORD H430 God H113 of my lord H4428 the king H559 say [H8799]   so too .
  37 H3068 As the LORD H113 hath been with my lord H4428 the king H8010 , even so be he with Solomon H1431 , and make H3678 his throne H1431 greater [H8762]   H3678 than the throne H113 of my lord H4428 king H1732 David.
  38 H6659 So Zadok H3548 the priest H5416 , and Nathan H5030 the prophet H1141 , and Benaiah H1121 the son H3077 of Jehoiada H3774 , and the Cherethites H6432 , and the Pelethites H3381 , went down [H8799]   H8010 , and caused Solomon H7392 to ride [H8686]   H4428 upon king H1732 David's H6506 mule H3212 , and brought [H8686]   H1521 him to Gihon.
  39 H6659 And Zadok H3548 the priest H3947 took [H8799]   H7161 an horn H8081 of oil H168 out of the tabernacle H4886 , and anointed [H8799]   H8010 Solomon H8628 . And they blew [H8799]   H7782 the trumpet H5971 ; and all the people H559 said [H8799]   H2421 , God save [H8799]   H4428 king H8010 Solomon.
  40 H5971 And all the people H5927 came up [H8799]   H310 after H5971 him, and the people H2490 piped [H8764]   H2485 with pipes H8056 , and rejoiced H1419 with great H8057 joy H776 , so that the earth H1234 rent [H8735]   H6963 with the sound of them.
  41 H138 And Adonijah H7121 and all the guests [H8803]   H8085 that were with him heard [H8799]   H3615 it as they had made an end [H8765]   H398 of eating [H8800]   H3097 . And when Joab H8085 heard [H8799]   H6963 the sound H7782 of the trumpet H559 , he said [H8799]   H6963 , Wherefore is this noise H7151 of the city H1993 being in an uproar [H8802]  ?
  42 H1696 And while he yet spake [H8764]   H3129 , behold, Jonathan H1121 the son H54 of Abiathar H3548 the priest H935 came [H8804]   H138 : and Adonijah H559 said [H8799]   H935 unto him, Come in [H8798]   H2428 ; for thou art a valiant H376 man [H8676]   H381   H1319 , and bringest H2896 good H1319 tidings [H8762]  .
  43 H3129 And Jonathan H6030 answered [H8799]   H559 and said [H8799]   H138 to Adonijah H61 , Verily H113 our lord H4428 king H1732 David H8010 hath made Solomon H4427 king [H8689]  .
  44 H4428 And the king H7971 hath sent [H8799]   H6659 with him Zadok H3548 the priest H5416 , and Nathan H5030 the prophet H1141 , and Benaiah H1121 the son H3077 of Jehoiada H3774 , and the Cherethites H6432 , and the Pelethites H7392 , and they have caused him to ride [H8686]   H4428 upon the king's H6506 mule:
  45 H6659 And Zadok H3548 the priest H5416 and Nathan H5030 the prophet H4886 have anointed [H8799]   H4428 him king H1521 in Gihon H5927 : and they are come up [H8799]   H8056 from thence rejoicing H7151 , so that the city H1949 rang again [H8735]   H6963 . This is the noise H8085 that ye have heard [H8804]  .
  46 H8010 And also Solomon H3427 sitteth [H8804]   H3678 on the throne H4410 of the kingdom.
  47 H4428 And moreover the king's H5650 servants H935 came [H8804]   H1288 to bless [H8763]   H113 our lord H4428 king H1732 David H559 , saying [H8800]   H430 , God H8034 make the name H8010 of Solomon H3190 better [H8686]   H8034 than thy name H1431 , and make H3678 his throne H1431 greater [H8762]   H3678 than thy throne H4428 . And the king H7812 bowed [H8691]   H4904 himself upon the bed.
  48 H559 And also thus said [H8804]   H4428 the king H1288 , Blessed [H8803]   H3068 be the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel H5414 , which hath given [H8804]   H3427 one to sit [H8802]   H3678 on my throne H3117 this day H5869 , mine eyes H7200 even seeing [H8802]   it .
  49 H7121 And all the guests [H8803]   H138 that were with Adonijah H2729 were afraid [H8799]   H6965 , and rose up [H8799]   H3212 , and went [H8799]   H376 every man H1870 his way.
  50 H138 And Adonijah H3372 feared [H8804]   H6440 because H8010 of Solomon H6965 , and arose [H8799]   H3212 , and went [H8799]   H2388 , and caught hold [H8686]   H7161 on the horns H4196 of the altar.
  51 H5046 And it was told [H8714]   H8010 Solomon H559 , saying [H8800]   H138 , Behold, Adonijah H3372 feareth [H8804]   H4428 king H8010 Solomon H270 : for, lo, he hath caught hold [H8804]   H7161 on the horns H4196 of the altar H559 , saying [H8800]   H4428 , Let king H8010 Solomon H7650 swear [H8735]   H3117 unto me to day H4191 that he will not slay [H8686]   H5650 his servant H2719 with the sword.
  52 H8010 And Solomon H559 said [H8799]   H2428 , If he will shew himself a worthy H1121 man H8185 , there shall not an hair H5307 of him fall [H8799]   H776 to the earth H7451 : but if wickedness H4672 shall be found [H8735]   H4191 in him, he shall die [H8804]  .
  53 H4428 So king H8010 Solomon H7971 sent [H8799]   H3381 , and they brought him down [H8686]   H4196 from the altar H935 . And he came [H8799]   H7812 and bowed [H8691]   H4428 himself to king H8010 Solomon H8010 : and Solomon H559 said [H8799]   H3212 unto him, Go [H8798]   H1004 to thine house.

  6 H3808 ולא had not H6087 עצבו displeased H1 אביו And his father H3117 מימיו him at any time H559 לאמר in saying, H4069 מדוע Why H3602 ככה so?   12 H6258 ועתה Now H1980 לכי therefore come, H3289 איעצך give H4994 נא let me, I pray thee, H6098 עצה thee counsel, H4422 ומלטי that thou mayest save H853 את   H5315 נפשׁך thine own life, H853 ואת   H5315 נפשׁ and the life H1121 בנך of thy son H8010 שׁלמה׃ Solomon.

  24 H559 ויאמר said, H5416 נתן And Nathan H113 אדני My lord, H4428 המלך O king, H859 אתה hast thou H559 אמרת said, H138 אדניהו Adonijah H4427 ימלך shall reign H310 אחרי after H1931 והוא me, and he H3427 ישׁב shall sit H5921 על upon H3678 כסאי׃ my throne?
  25 H3588 כי For H3381 ירד he is gone down H3117 היום this day, H2076 ויזבח and hath slain H7794 שׁור oxen H4806 ומריא and fat cattle H6629 וצאן and sheep H7230 לרב in abundance, H7121 ויקרא and hath called H3605 לכל all H1121 בני sons, H4428 המלך the king's H8269 ולשׂרי and the captains H6635 הצבא of the host, H54 ולאביתר and Abiathar H3548 הכהן the priest; H2009 והנם and, behold, H398 אכלים they eat H8354 ושׁתים and drink H6440 לפניו before H559 ויאמרו him, and say, H2421 יחי God save H4428 המלך king H138 אדניהו׃ Adonijah.
  26 H589 ולי אני But me, me H5650 עבדך thy servant, H6659 ולצדק and Zadok H3548 הכהן the priest, H1141 ולבניהו and Benaiah H1121 בן the son H3077 יהוידע of Jehoiada, H8010 ולשׁלמה Solomon, H5650 עבדך and thy servant H3808 לא hath he not H7121 קרא׃ called.
  27 H518 אם   H853 מאת   H113 אדני my lord H4428 המלך the king, H1961 נהיה done H1697 הדבר thing H2088 הזה Is this H3808 ולא and thou hast not H3045 הודעת showed unto H853 את   H5650 עבדיך thy servant, H4310 מי who H3427 ישׁב should sit H5921 על on H3678 כסא the throne H113 אדני of my lord H4428 המלך the king H310 אחריו׃ after
  28 H6030 ויען answered H4428 המלך Then king H1732 דוד David H559 ויאמר and said, H7121 קראו Call H1339 לי לבת\'ceשׁבע me Bath-sheba. H935 ותבא And she came into H6440 לפני presence, H4428 המלך the king's H5975 ותעמד and stood H6440 לפני before H4428 המלך׃ the king.
  29 H7650 וישׁבע swore, H4428 המלך And the king H559 ויאמר and said, H2416 חי liveth, H3068 יהוה the LORD H834 אשׁר that H6299 פדה hath redeemed H853 את   H5315 נפשׁי my soul H3605 מכל out of all H6869 צרה׃ distress,
  30 H3588 כי Even H834 כאשׁר as H7650 נשׁבעתי I swore H3068 לך ביהוה unto thee by the LORD H430 אלהי God H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H559 לאמר saying, H3588 כי Assuredly H8010 שׁלמה Solomon H1121 בנך thy son H4427 ימלך shall reign H310 אחרי after H1931 והוא me, and he H3427 ישׁב shall sit H5921 על upon H3678 כסאי my throne H8478 תחתי in my stead; H3588 כי even H3651 כן so H6213 אעשׂה will I certainly do H3117 היום day. H2088 הזה׃ this
  31 H6915 ותקד bowed H1339 בת\'ceשׁבע Then Bath-sheba H639 אפים with face H776 ארץ to the earth, H7812 ותשׁתחו and did reverence H4428 למלך to the king, H559 ותאמר and said, H2421 יחי live H113 אדני Let my lord H4428 המלך king H1732 דוד David H5769 לעלם׃ forever.
  32 H559 ויאמר said, H4428 המלך And king H1732 דוד David H7121 קראו Call H6659 לי לצדוק me Zadok H3548 הכהן the priest, H5416 ולנתן and Nathan H5030 הנביא the prophet, H1141 ולבניהו and Benaiah H1121 בן the son H3077 יהוידע of Jehoiada. H935 ויבאו And they came H6440 לפני before H4428 המלך׃ the king.
  33 H559 ויאמר also said H4428 המלך The king H3947 להם קחו unto them, Take H5973 עמכם with H853 את   H5650 עבדי you the servants H113 אדניכם of your lord, H7392 והרכבתם to ride H853 את   H8010 שׁלמה and cause Solomon H1121 בני my son H5921 על upon H6506 הפרדה mine own mule, H834 אשׁר   H3381 לי והורדתם   H853 אתו   H413 אל to H1521 גחון׃ Gihon:
  34 H4886 ומשׁח anoint H853 אתו   H8033 שׁם him there H6659 צדוק And let Zadok H3548 הכהן the priest H5416 ונתן and Nathan H5030 הנביא the prophet H4428 למלך king H5921 על over H3478 ישׂראל Israel: H8628 ותקעתם and blow H7782 בשׁופר ye with the trumpet, H559 ואמרתם and say, H2421 יחי God save H4428 המלך king H8010 שׁלמה׃ Solomon.
  35 H5927 ועליתם Then ye shall come up H310 אחריו after H935 ובא him, that he may come H3427 וישׁב and sit H5921 על upon H3678 כסאי my throne; H1931 והוא for he H4427 ימלך shall be king H8478 תחתי in my stead: H854 ואתו   H6680 צויתי and I have appointed H1961 להיות him to be H5057 נגיד ruler H5921 על over H3478 ישׂראל Israel H5921 ועל and over H3063 יהודה׃ Judah.
  36 H6030 ויען answered H1141 בניהו And Benaiah H1121 בן the son H3077 יהוידע of Jehoiada H853 את   H4428 המלך the king, H559 ויאמר and said, H543 אמן Amen: H3651 כן so H559 יאמר say H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהי God H113 אדני of my lord H4428 המלך׃ the king
  37 H834 כאשׁר As H1961 היה hath been H3068 יהוה the LORD H5973 עם with H113 אדני my lord H4428 המלך the king, H3651 כן even so H1961 יהי be H5973 עם he with H8010 שׁלמה Solomon, H1431 ויגדל   H853 את   H3678 כסאו than the throne H3678 מכסא   H113 אדני of my lord H4428 המלך king H1732 דוד׃ David.
  38 H3381 וירד went down, H6659 צדוק So Zadok H3548 הכהן the priest, H5416 ונתן and Nathan H5030 הנביא the prophet, H1141 ובניהו and Benaiah H1121 בן the son H3077 יהוידע of Jehoiada, H3746 והכרתי   H6432 והפלתי and the Pelethites, H7392 וירכבו to ride H853 את   H8010 שׁלמה and caused Solomon H5921 על upon H6506 פרדת mule, H4428 המלך king H1732 דוד David's H1980 וילכו and brought H853 אתו   H5921 על him to H1521 גחון׃ Gihon.
  39 H3947 ויקח took H6659 צדוק And Zadok H3548 הכהן the priest H853 את   H7161 קרן a horn H8081 השׁמן of oil H4480 מן out of H168 האהל the tabernacle, H4886 וימשׁח and anointed H853 את   H8010 שׁלמה Solomon. H8628 ויתקעו And they blew H7782 בשׁופר the trumpet; H559 ויאמרו said, H3605 כל and all H5971 העם the people H2421 יחי God save H4428 המלך king H8010 שׁלמה׃ Solomon.
  40 H5927 ויעלו came up H3605 כל And all H5971 העם the people H310 אחריו after H5971 והעם him, and the people H2490 מחללים piped H2485 בחללים with pipes, H8056 ושׂמחים and rejoiced H8057 שׂמחה joy, H1419 גדולה with great H1234 ותבקע rent H776 הארץ so that the earth H6963 בקולם׃ with the sound
  41 H8085 וישׁמע him heard H138 אדניהו And Adonijah H3605 וכל and all H7121 הקראים the guests H834 אשׁר that H854 אתו with H1992 והם as they H3615 כלו had made an end H398 לאכל of eating. H8085 וישׁמע heard H3097 יואב And when Joab H853 את   H6963 קול the sound H7782 השׁופר of the trumpet, H559 ויאמר he said, H4069 מדוע Wherefore H6963 קול noise H7151 הקריה of the city H1993 הומה׃ being in an uproar?
  42 H5750 עודנו And while he yet H1696 מדבר spoke, H2009 והנה behold, H3129 יונתן Jonathan H1121 בן the son H54 אביתר of Abiathar H3548 הכהן the priest H935 בא came: H559 ויאמר said H138 אדניהו and Adonijah H935 בא unto him, Come in; H3588 כי for H376 אישׁ man, H2428 חיל a valiant H859 אתה thou H2896 וטוב and bringest good tidings. H1319 תבשׂר׃ and bringest good tidings.
  43 H6030 ויען answered H3129 יונתן And Jonathan H559 ויאמר and said H138 לאדניהו to Adonijah, H61 אבל Verily H113 אדנינו our lord H4428 המלך king H1732 דוד David H4427 המליך   H853 את   H8010 שׁלמה׃  
  44 H7971 וישׁלח hath sent H854 אתו with H4428 המלך And the king H853 את   H6659 צדוק him Zadok H3548 הכהן the priest, H853 ואת   H5416 נתן and Nathan H5030 הנביא the prophet, H1141 ובניהו and Benaiah H1121 בן the son H3077 יהוידע of Jehoiada, H3774 והכרתי and the Cherethites, H6432 והפלתי and the Pelethites, H7392 וירכבו   H853 אתו   H5921 על upon H6506 פרדת mule: H4428 המלך׃ the king's
  45 H4886 וימשׁחו have anointed H853 אתו   H6659 צדוק And Zadok H3548 הכהן the priest H5416 ונתן and Nathan H5030 הנביא the prophet H4428 למלך him king H1521 בגחון in Gihon: H5927 ויעלו and they are come up H8033 משׁם from thence H8056 שׂמחים rejoicing, H1949 ותהם rang H7151 הקריה so that the city H1931 הוא again. This H6963 הקול the noise H834 אשׁר that H8085 שׁמעתם׃ ye have heard.
  46 H1571 וגם And also H3427 ישׁב sitteth H8010 שׁלמה Solomon H5921 על on H3678 כסא the throne H4410 המלוכה׃ of the kingdom.
  47 H1571 וגם And moreover H935 באו came H5650 עבדי servants H4428 המלך the king's H1288 לברך to bless H853 את   H113 אדנינו our lord H4428 המלך king H1732 דוד David, H559 לאמר saying, H3190 ייטב better H430 אלהיך God H853 את   H8034 שׁם make the name H8010 שׁלמה of Solomon H8034 משׁמך than thy name, H1431 ויגדל greater H853 את   H3678 כסאו and make his throne H3678 מכסאך than thy throne. H7812 וישׁתחו bowed himself H4428 המלך And the king H5921 על upon H4904 המשׁכב׃ the bed.
  48 H1571 וגם And also H3602 ככה thus H559 אמר said H4428 המלך the king, H1288 ברוך Blessed H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהי God H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H834 אשׁר which H5414 נתן hath given H3117 היום this day, H3427 ישׁב to sit H5921 על on H3678 כסאי my throne H5869 ועיני mine eyes H7200 ראות׃ even seeing
  49 H2729 ויחרדו were afraid, H6965 ויקמו and rose up, H3605 כל And all H7121 הקראים the guests H834 אשׁר that H138 לאדניהו with Adonijah H1980 וילכו and went H376 אישׁ every man H1870 לדרכו׃ his way.
  50 H138 ואדניהו And Adonijah H3372 ירא feared H6440 מפני because H8010 שׁלמה of Solomon, H6965 ויקם and arose, H1980 וילך and went, H2388 ויחזק and caught hold H7161 בקרנות on the horns H4196 המזבח׃ of the altar.
  51 H5046 ויגד And it was told H8010 לשׁלמה Solomon, H559 לאמר saying, H2009 הנה Behold, H138 אדניהו Adonijah H3372 ירא feareth H853 את   H4428 המלך king H8010 שׁלמה Solomon: H2009 והנה for, lo, H270 אחז he hath caught hold H7161 בקרנות on the horns H4196 המזבח of the altar, H559 לאמר saying, H7650 ישׁבע swear H3117 לי כיום unto me today H4428 המלך Let king H8010 שׁלמה Solomon H518 אם that he will not H4191 ימית slay H853 את   H5650 עבדו his servant H2719 בחרב׃ with the sword.
  52 H559 ויאמר said, H8010 שׁלמה And Solomon H518 אם If H1961 יהיה he will show H1121 לבן man, H2428 חיל himself a worthy H3808 לא there shall not H5307 יפל him fall H8185 משׂערתו   H776 ארצה to the earth: H518 ואם but if H7451 רעה wickedness H4672 תמצא shall be found H4191 בו ומת׃ in him, he shall die.
  53 H7971 וישׁלח sent, H4428 המלך So king H8010 שׁלמה Solomon H3381 וירדהו and they brought him down H5921 מעל from H4196 המזבח the altar. H935 ויבא And he came H7812 וישׁתחו and bowed himself H4428 למלך to king H8010 שׁלמה Solomon: H559 ויאמר said H8010 לו שׁלמה and Solomon H1980 לך unto him, Go H1004 לביתך׃ to thine house.
