  2 H87 And Abram H559 said [H8799]   H136 , Lord H3069 GOD H5414 , what wilt thou give [H8799]   H1980 me, seeing I go [H8802]   H6185 childless H1121 , and the steward H4943   H1004 of my house H1931 is this H461 Eliezer H1834 of Damascus?
  3 H87 And Abram H559 said [H8799]   H5414 , Behold, to me thou hast given [H8804]   H3808 no H2233 seed H1121 : and, lo, one born H1004 in my house H3423 is mine heir [H8802]  .
  4 H1697 And, behold, the word H3068 of the LORD H559 came unto him, saying [H8800]   H3423 , This shall not be thine heir [H8799]   H3318 ; but he that shall come forth [H8799]   H4578 out of thine own bowels H3423 shall be thine heir [H8799]  .
  5 H3318 And he brought him forth [H8686]   H2351 abroad H559 , and said [H8799]   H5027 , Look [H8685]   H8064 now toward heaven H5608 , and tell [H8798]   H3556 the stars H3201 , if thou be able [H8799]   H5608 to number [H8800]   H559 them: and he said [H8799]   H3541 unto him, So H2233 shall thy seed be.
  6 H539 And he believed [H8689]   H3068 in the LORD H2803 ; and he counted [H8799]   H6666 it to him for righteousness.
  7 H559 And he said [H8799]   H3068 unto him, I am the LORD H3318 that brought thee out [H8689]   H218 of Ur H3778 of the Chaldees H5414 , to give [H8800]   H776 thee this land H3423 to inherit [H8800]   it.
  8 H559 And he said [H8799]   H136 , Lord H3069 GOD H4100 , whereby H3045 shall I know [H8799]   H3423 that I shall inherit it [H8799]  ?
  9 H559 And he said [H8799]   H3947 unto him, Take [H8798]   H5697 me an heifer H8027 of three years old [H8794]   H5795 , and a she goat H8027 of three years old [H8794]   H352 , and a ram H8027 of three years old [H8794]   H8449 , and a turtledove H1469 , and a young pigeon.
  10 H3947 And he took [H8799]   H1334 unto him all these, and divided [H8762]   H8432 them in the midst H5414 , and laid [H8799]   H376 each H1335 piece H7125 one against [H8800]   H7453 another H6833 : but the birds H1334 divided [H8804]   he not.
  11 H5861 And when the fowls H3381 came down [H8799]   H6297 upon the carcases H87 , Abram H5380 drove them away [H8686]  .
  12 H8121 And when the sun H935 was going down [H8800]   H8639 , a deep sleep H5307 fell [H8804]   H87 upon Abram H367 ; and, lo, an horror H1419 of great H2825 darkness H5307 fell [H8802]   upon him.
  13 H559 And he said [H8799]   H87 unto Abram H3045 , Know [H8799]   H3045 of a surety [H8800]   H2233 that thy seed H1616 shall be a stranger H776 in a land H5647 that is not theirs, and shall serve [H8804]   H6031 them; and they shall afflict [H8765]   H702 them four H3967 hundred H8141 years;
  14 H1471 And also that nation H5647 , whom they shall serve [H8799]   H1777 , will I judge [H8802]   H310 : and afterward H3651   H3318 shall they come out [H8799]   H1419 with great H7399 substance.
  15 H935 And thou shalt go [H8799]   H1 to thy fathers H7965 in peace H6912 ; thou shalt be buried [H8735]   H2896 in a good H7872 old age.
  16 H7243 But in the fourth H1755 generation H2008 they shall come hither H7725 again [H8799]   H5771 : for the iniquity H567 of the Amorites H2008 is not yet H8003 full.
  17 H8121 And it came to pass, that, when the sun H935 went down [H8804]   H5939 , and it was dark H6227 , behold a smoking H8574 furnace H784 , and a burning H3940 lamp H5674 that passed [H8804]   H996 between H1506 those pieces.
  18 H1931 In the same H3117 day H3068 the LORD H3772 made [H8804]   H1285 a covenant H87 with Abram H559 , saying [H8800]   H2233 , Unto thy seed H5414 have I given [H8804]   H776 this land H5104 , from the river H4714 of Egypt H1419 unto the great H5104 river H5104 , the river H6578 Euphrates:
  19 H7017 The Kenites H7074 , and the Kenizzites H6935 , and the Kadmonites,
  20 H2850 And the Hittites H6522 , and the Perizzites H7497 , and the Rephaims,
  21 H567 And the Amorites H3669 , and the Canaanites H1622 , and the Girgashites H2983 , and the Jebusites.
