  4 G3762 No man G4754 that warreth [G5734]   G1707 entangleth himself [G5743]   G4230 with the affairs G979 of this life G2443 ; that G700 he may please [G5661]   G4758 him who hath chosen him to be a soldier [G5660]  .

  20 G1161 But G1722 in G3173 a great G3614 house G2076 there are [G5748]   G3756 not G3440 only G4632 vessels G5552 of gold G2532 and G693 of silver G235 , but G2532 also G3585 of wood G2532 and G3749 of earth G2532 ; and G3739 some G3303   G1519 to G5092 honour G1161 , and G3739 some G1519 to G819 dishonour.
  21 G1437 If G5100 a man G3767 therefore G1571 purge [G5661]   G1438 himself G575 from G5130 these G2071 , he shall be [G5704]   G4632 a vessel G1519 unto G5092 honour G37 , sanctified [G5772]   G2532 , and G2173 meet G1203 for the master's use G2090 , and prepared [G5772]   G1519 unto G3956 every G18 good G2041 work.
  22 G5343 Flee [G5720]   G1161 also G3512 youthful G1939 lusts G1161 : but G1377 follow [G5720]   G1343 righteousness G4102 , faith G26 , charity G1515 , peace G3326 , with G1941 them that call on [G5734]   G2962 the Lord G1537 out of G2513 a pure G2588 heart.
  23 G1161 But G3474 foolish G2532 and G521 unlearned G2214 questions G3868 avoid [G5737]   G1492 , knowing [G5761]   G3754 that G1080 they do gender [G5719]   G3163 strifes.
  24 G1161 And G1401 the servant G2962 of the Lord G1163 must [G5748]   G3756 not G3164 strive [G5738]   G235 ; but G1511 be [G5750]   G2261 gentle G4314 unto G3956 all G1317 men, apt to teach G420 , patient,
  25 G1722 In G4236 meekness G3811 instructing [G5723]   G475 those that oppose themselves [G5734]   G3379 ; if G2316 God G3379 peradventure G1325 will give [G5632]   G846 them G3341 repentance G1519 to G1922 the acknowledging G225 of the truth;
  26 G2532 And G366 that they may recover themselves [G5661]   G1537 out of G3803 the snare G1228 of the devil G2221 , who are taken captive [G5772]   G5259 by G846 him G1519 at G1565 his G2307 will.
