  2 H3772 [H8799] And ye shall make H1285 no league H3427 [H8802] with the inhabitants H776 of this land H5422 [H8799] ; ye shall throw down H4196 their altars H8085 [H8804] : but ye have not obeyed H6963 my voice H6213 [H8804] : why have ye done this?
  3 H559 [H8804] Therefore I also said H1644 [H8762] , I will not drive them out H6440 from before H6654 you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides H430 , and their gods H4170 shall be a snare to you.
  4 H4397 And it came to pass, when the angel H3068 of the LORD H1696 [H8763] spoke H1697 these words H1121 to all the children H3478 of Israel H5971 , that the people H5375 [H8799] lifted up H6963 their voice H1058 [H8799] , and wept.
  5 H7121 [H8799] And they called H8034 the name H4725 of that place H1066 Bochim H2076 [H8799] : and they sacrificed H3068 there to the LORD.
  6 H3091 And when Joshua H5971 had let the people H7971 [H8762] go H1121 , the children H3478 of Israel H3212 [H8799] went H376 every man H5159 to his inheritance H3423 [H8800] to possess H776 the land.
  7 H5971 And the people H5647 [H8799] served H3068 the LORD H3117 all the days H3091 of Joshua H3117 , and all the days H2205 of the elders H748 H3117 H310 [H8689] that outlived H3091 Joshua H7200 [H8804] , who had seen H1419 all the great H4639 works H3068 of the LORD H6213 [H8804] , that he did H3478 for Israel.
  8 H3091 And Joshua H1121 the son H5126 of Nun H5650 , the servant H3068 of the LORD H4191 [H8799] , died H3967 , being an hundred H6235 and ten H8141 years H1121 old.
  9 H6912 [H8799] And they buried H1366 him in the border H5159 of his inheritance H8556 in Timnathheres H2022 , in the mount H669 of Ephraim H6828 , on the north side H2022 of the hill H1608 Gaash.
  10 H1755 And also all that generation H622 [H8738] were gathered H1 to their fathers H6965 [H8799] : and there arose H312 another H1755 generation H310 after H3045 [H8804] them, which knew H3068 not the LORD H4639 , nor yet the works H6213 [H8804] which he had done H3478 for Israel.
  11 H1121 And the children H3478 of Israel H6213 [H8799] did H7451 evil H5869 in the sight H3068 of the LORD H5647 [H8799] , and served H1168 Baalim:
  12 H5800 [H8799] And they forsook H3068 the LORD H430 God H1 of their fathers H3318 [H8688] , who brought them out H776 of the land H4714 of Egypt H3212 H310 [H8799] , and followed H312 other H430 gods H430 , of the gods H5971 of the people H5439 that were around H7812 [H8691] them, and bowed H3068 themselves to them, and provoked the LORD H3707 [H8686] to anger.
  13 H5800 [H8799] And they forsook H3068 the LORD H5647 [H8799] , and served H1168 Baal H6252 and Ashtaroth.
  14 H639 And the anger H3068 of the LORD H2734 [H8799] was hot H3478 against Israel H5414 [H8799] , and he delivered H3027 them into the hands H8154 [H8802] of spoilers H8155 [H8799] that spoiled H4376 [H8799] them, and he sold H3027 them into the hands H341 [H8802] of their enemies H5439 around H3201 [H8804] them, so that they could H5750 not any longer H5975 [H8800] stand H6440 before H341 [H8802] their enemies.
  15 H3318 [H8804] Wherever they went out H3027 , the hand H3068 of the LORD H7451 was against them for evil H3068 , as the LORD H1696 [H8765] had said H3068 , and as the LORD H7650 [H8738] had sworn H3966 to them: and they were greatly H3334 [H8799] distressed.
  16 H3068 Nevertheless the LORD H6965 [H8686] raised up H8199 [H8802] judges H3467 [H8686] , who delivered H3027 them out of the hand H8154 [H8802] of those that spoiled them.
  17 H8085 [H8804] And yet they would not hearken H8199 [H8802] to their judges H2181 H310 [H8804] , but they played the harlot with H312 other H430 gods H7812 [H8691] , and bowed H5493 [H8804] themselves to them: they turned H4118 quickly H1870 out of the way H1 which their fathers H1980 [H8804] walked in H8085 [H8800] , obeying H4687 the commandments H3068 of the LORD H6213 [H8804] ; but they did not so.
  18 H3068 And when the LORD H6965 [H8689] raised H8199 [H8802] up judges H3068 for them, then the LORD H8199 [H8802] was with the judge H3467 [H8689] , and delivered H3027 them out of the hand H341 [H8802] of their enemies H3117 all the days H8199 [H8802] of the judge H3068 : for the LORD H5162 [H8735] repented H6440 because H5009 of their groanings H3905 [H8801] by reason of them that oppressed H1766 [H8802] them and burdened them.
  19 H8199 [H8802] And it came to pass, when the judge H4194 was dead H7725 [H8799] , that they returned H7843 [H8689] , and corrupted H1 themselves more than their fathers H3212 H310 [H8800] , in following H312 other H430 gods H5647 [H8800] to serve H7812 [H8692] them, and to bow down H5307 [H8689] to them; they ceased H4611 not from their own doings H7186 , nor from their stubborn H1870 way.
  20 H639 And the anger H3068 of the LORD H2734 [H8799] was hot H3478 against Israel H559 [H8799] ; and he said H1471 , Because that this people H5674 [H8804] hath transgressed H1285 my covenant H6680 [H8765] which I commanded H1 their fathers H8085 [H8804] , and have not hearkened H6963 to my voice;
  21 H3254 [H8686] I also will not henceforth H3423 H376 [H8687] drive out H6440 from before H1471 them any of the nations H3091 which Joshua H5800 [H8804] left H4191 [H8799] when he died:
  22 H5254 [H8763] That through them I may test H3478 Israel H8104 [H8802] , whether they will keep H1870 the way H3068 of the LORD H3212 [H8800] to walk H1 in it, as their fathers H8104 [H8804] kept it, or not.
  23 H3068 Therefore the LORD H3240 [H8686] left H1471 those nations H1115 , without H3423 [H8687] driving them out H4118 speedily H5414 [H8804] ; neither did he deliver H3027 them into the hand H3091 of Joshua.
