Leviticus 21 And the LORD said to Moses , Speak to the priests the sons of Aaron , and say to them, There shall none be defiled for the dead among his people:

2 H7607 But for his kin H7138 , that is near H517 to him, that is, for his mother H1 , and for his father H1121 , and for his son H1323 , and for his daughter H251 , and for his brother,

3 H269 And for his sister H1330 a virgin H7138 , that is near H376 to him, who hath had no husband H2930 [H8691] ; for her he may be defiled.

4 H2930 [H8691] But he shall not defile H1167 himself, being a chief man H5971 among his people H2490 [H8736] , to profane himself.

5 H7139 [H8799] They shall not make H7144 baldness H7218 upon their head H1548 [H8762] , neither shall they shave off H6285 the corner H2206 of their beard H8295 [H8799] , nor make H8296 any cuttings H1320 in their flesh.

6 H6944 They shall be holy H430 to their God H2490 [H8762] , and not profane H8034 the name H430 of their God H801 0 : for the offerings H3068 of the LORD H801 made by fire H3899 , and the bread H430 of their God H7126 [H8688] , they do offer H6918 : therefore they shall be holy.

7 H3947 [H8799] They shall not take H802 a wife H2181 [H8802] that is an harlot H2491 , or profane H3947 [H8799] ; neither shall they take H802 a woman H1644 [H8803] put away H376 from her husband H6918 : for he is holy H430 to his God.

8 H6942 [H8765] Thou shalt sanctify H7126 [H8688] him therefore; for he offereth H3899 the bread H430 of thy God H6918 : he shall be holy H3068 to thee: for I the LORD H6942 [H8764] , who sanctifieth H6918 you, am holy.

9 H1323 And the daughter H376 of any H3548 priest H2490 [H8735] , if she shall profane H2181 [H8800] herself by playing the harlot H2490 [H8764] , she profaneth H1 her father H8313 [H8735] : she shall be burnt H784 with fire.

10 H1419 And he that is the high H3548 priest H251 among his brethren H7218 , upon whose head H4888 the anointing H8081 oil H3332 [H8714] was poured H4390 H3027 [H8765] , and that is consecrated H3847 [H8800] to put H899 on the garments H6544 [H8799] , shall not uncover H7218 his head H6533 [H8799] , nor rend H899 his clothes;

11 H935 [H8799] Neither shall he go in H4191 [H8801] to any dead H5315 body H2930 [H8691] , nor defile H1 himself for his father H517 , or for his mother;

12 H3318 [H8799] Neither shall he go out H4720 of the sanctuary H2490 [H8762] , nor profane H4720 the sanctuary H430 of his God H5145 ; for the crown H4888 of the anointing H8081 oil H430 of his God H3068 is upon him: I am the LORD.

13 H3947 [H8799] And he shall take H802 a wife H1331 in her virginity.

14 H490 A widow H1644 [H8803] , or a divorced woman H2491 , or profane H2181 [H8802] , or an harlot H3947 [H8799] , these shall he not take H3947 [H8799] : but he shall take H1330 a virgin H5971 of his own people H802 for a wife.

15 H2490 [H8762] Neither shall he profane H2233 his seed H5971 among his people H3068 : for I the LORD H6942 [H8764] sanctifieth him.

16 H3068 And the LORD H1696 [H8762] spoke H4872 to Moses H559 [H8800] , saying,

17 H1696 [H8761] Speak H175 to Aaron H559 [H8800] , saying H376 , Whoever H2233 he may be of thy seed H1755 in their generations H3971 that hath any blemish H7126 [H8799] , let him not approach H7126 [H8687] to offer H3899 the bread H430 of his God.

18 H376 For whatever man H3971 he may be that hath a blemish H7126 [H8799] , he shall not approach H5787 : a blind H376 man H6455 , or a lame H2763 [H8803] , or he that hath a flat nose H8311 [H8803] , or any thing superfluous,

19 H376 Or a man H7667 H7272 that is brokenfooted H7667 H3027 , or brokenhanded,

20 H1384 Or hunchbacked H1851 , or a dwarf H8400 , or that hath a blemish H5869 in his eye H1618 , or eczema H3217 , or scabs H810 , or hath his stones H4790 broken;

21 H376 No man H2233 of the seed H175 of Aaron H3548 the priest H3971 , that hath a blemish H5066 [H8799] , shall come near H7126 [H8687] to offer H801 0 the offerings H3068 of the LORD H801 made by fire H3971 : he hath a blemish H5066 [H8799] ; he shall not come near H7126 [H8687] to offer H3899 the bread H430 of his God.

22 H398 [H8799] He shall eat H3899 the bread H430 of his God H6944 , both of the most H6944 holy H6944 , and of the holy.

23 H935 [H8799] Only he shall not go in H6532 to the veil H5066 [H8799] , nor come near H4196 to the altar H3971 , because he hath a blemish H2490 [H8762] ; that he may not profane H4720 my sanctuaries H3068 : for I the LORD H6942 [H8764] sanctifieth them.

24 H4872 And Moses H1696 [H8762] told H175 it to Aaron H1121 , and to his sons H1121 , and to all the children H3478 of Israel.
