Deuteronomy 18 The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and his inheritance.

1 H3548 The priests H3881 the Levites, H3605 and all H7626 the tribe H3878 of Levi, H3808 shall have no H2506 part H5159 nor inheritance H3478 with Israel: H398 they shall eat H3068 the offerings of the LORD H5159 made by fire, and his inheritance.

2 H3808 Therefore shall they have no H5159 inheritance H7130 among H251 their brothers: H3068 the LORD H5159 is their inheritance, H1696 as he has said to them.

3 H2088 And this H3548 shall be the priest’s H4941 due H5971 from the people, H2076 from them that offer H2077 a sacrifice, H518 whether H7794 it be ox H7716 or sheep; H5414 and they shall give H3548 to the priest H2220 the shoulder, H3895 and the two cheeks, H6896 and the maw.

4 H7225 The first fruit H1715 also of your corn, H8492 of your wine, H3323 and of your oil, H7225 and the first H1488 of the fleece H6629 of your sheep, H5414 shall you give him.

5 H3068 For the LORD H430 your God H977 has chosen H3605 him out of all H7626 your tribes, H5975 to stand H8334 to minister H8034 in the name H3068 of the LORD, H1121 him and his sons H3605 for ever. H3117

6 H3588 And if H3881 a Levite H935 come H259 from any H8179 of your gates H3605 out of all H3478 Israel, H834 where H8033 H1481 he sojourned, H935 and come H3605 with all H183 the desire H5315 of his mind H4725 to the place H834 which H3068 the LORD H977 shall choose;

7 H8334 Then he shall minister H8034 in the name H3068 of the LORD H430 his God, H3605 as all H251 his brothers H3881 the Levites H5975 do, which stand H8033 there H6440 before H3068 the LORD.

8 H2506 They shall have like portions H398 to eat, H905 beside H4465 that which comes of the sale H5921 of his patrimony. H1

9 H3588 When H935 you are come H413 into H776 the land H834 which H3068 the LORD H430 your God H5414 gives H3925 you, you shall not learn H6213 to do H8441 after the abominations H1992 of those H1471 nations.

10 H4672 There shall not be found H1121 among you any one that makes his son H1323 or his daughter H5674 to pass H784 through the fire, H7081 or that uses divination, H6049 or an observer H5172 of times, or an enchanter, H3784 or a witch.

11 H2266 Or a charmer, H2267 H7592 or a consulter H178 with familiar spirits, H3049 or a wizard, H1875 or a necromancer. H4191

12 H3605 For all H6213 that do H428 these H8441 things are an abomination H3068 to the LORD: H1558 and because H428 of these H8441 abominations H3068 the LORD H430 your God H3423 does drive H6440 them out from before you.

13 H8549 You shall be perfect H3068 with the LORD H430 your God.

14 H428 For these H1471 nations, H834 which H3423 you shall possess, H8085 listened H6049 to observers H7080 of times, and to diviners: H3068 but as for you, the LORD H430 your God H5414 has not suffered H3651 you so to do.

15 H3068 The LORD H430 your God H6965 will raise H5030 up to you a Prophet H7130 from the middle H251 of you, of your brothers, H3644 like H8085 to me; to him you shall listen;

16 H3605 According to all H7592 that you desired H3068 of the LORD H430 your God H2722 in Horeb H3117 in the day H6951 of the assembly, H559 saying, H8085 Let me not hear H3254 again H6963 the voice H3068 of the LORD H430 my God, H3808 neither H7200 let me see H2063 this H1419 great H784 fire H5750 any more, H4191 that I die not.

17 H3068 And the LORD H559 said H3190 to me, They have well H834 spoken that which H1696 they have spoken.

18 H6965 I will raise H5030 them up a Prophet H7130 from among H251 their brothers, H3644 like H5414 to you, and will put H1697 my words H6310 in his mouth; H1696 and he shall speak H3605 to them all H6680 that I shall command him.

19 H1961 And it shall come H376 to pass, that whoever H834 H8085 will not listen H1697 to my words H834 which H1696 he shall speak H8034 in my name, H1875 I will require it of him.

20 H5030 But the prophet, H834 which H2102 shall presume H1696 to speak H1697 a word H8034 in my name, H6680 which I have not commanded H1696 him to speak, H1696 or that shall speak H8034 in the name H312 of other H430 gods, H5030 even that prophet H4191 shall die.

21 H3588 And if H559 you say H3824 in your heart, H349 How H3045 shall we know H1697 the word H834 which H3068 the LORD H1696 has not spoken?

22 H834 When H5030 a prophet H1696 speaks H8034 in the name H3068 of the LORD, H1697 if the thing H1961 follow H3808 not, nor H935 come H1697 to pass, that is the thing H834 which H3068 the LORD H1696 has not spoken, H5030 but the prophet H1696 has spoken H2087 it presumptuously: H1481 you shall not be afraid of him.
