Numbers 14:14-45 And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that you Lord are among this people, that you Lord are seen face to face, and that your cloud standeth over them, and that you go before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.

14 H559 And they will tell H3427 it to the inhabitants H776 of this land: H8085 for they have heard H3068 that you Lord H7130 are among H5971 this people, H3068 that you Lord H7200 are seen H5869 face H5869 to face, H6051 and that your cloud H5975 standeth H1980 over them, and that you go H6440 before H3119 them, by day time H5982 in a pillar H6051 of a cloud, H5982 and in a pillar H784 of fire H3915 by night.

15 H4191 Now if you shall kill H5971 all this people H259 as one H376 man, H1471 then the nations H8085 which have heard H8088 the fame H559 of you will speak, H559 saying,

16 H3068 Because the Lord H1115 was not H3201 able H935 to bring H5971 this people H776 into the land H7650 which he swore H7819 unto them, therefore he has slain H4057 them in the wilderness.

17 H3581 And now, I beg you, let the power H136 of my Lord H1431 be great, H834 according H1696 as you have spoken, H559 saying,

18 H3068 The Lord H750 is longsuffering, H7227 and of great H2617 mercy, H5375 forgiving H5771 iniquity H6588 and transgression, H5352 and by no means H5352 clearing H6485 the guilty, visiting H5771 the iniquity H1 of the fathers H1121 upon the sons H8029 unto the third H7256 and fourth generation.

19 H5545 Pardon, H5771 I beg you, the iniquity H5971 of this people H1433 according unto the greatness H2617 of your mercy, H5375 and as you have forgiven H5971 this people, H4714 from Egypt H2008 even until now.

20 H3068 And the Lord H559 said, H5545 I have pardoned H1697 according to your word:

21 H199 But as truly H2416 as I live, H776 all the earth H4390 shall be filled H3519 with the glory H3068 of the Lord.

22 H582 Because all those men H7200 which have seen H3519 my glory, H226 and my miracles, H6213 which I did H4714 in Egypt H4057 and in the wilderness, H5254 and have tempted H6235 me now these ten H6471 times, H8085 and have not listened H6963 to my voice;

23 H518 Surely they shall not H7200 see H776 the land H7650 which I swore H1 unto their fathers, H5006 neither shall any of them that provoked H7200 me see it:

25 H6003 (Now the Amalekites H3669 and the Canaanites H3427 lived H6010 in the valley.) H4279 To morrow H6437 turn H5265 you, and get H4057 you into the wilderness H1870 by the way H5488 of the Red H3220 sea.

26 H3068 And the Lord H1696 spoke H4872 unto Moses H175 and unto Aaron, H559 saying,

27 H7451 How long shall I carry with this evil H5712 congregation, H3885 which murmur H8085 against me? I have heard H8519 the murmurings H1121 of the sons H3478 of Israel, H3885 which they murmur against me.

30 H518 Doubtless you shall not H935 come H776 into the land, H3027 concerning which I swore H7931 to make you live H3612 in it, save Caleb H1121 the son H3312 of Jephunneh, H3091 and Joshua H1121 the son H5126 of Nun.

31 H2945 But your little ones, H559 which you said H957 should be a prey, H935 them will I bring in, H3045 and they shall know H776 the land H3988 which you have despised.

32 H6297 But as for you, your carcasses, H5307 they shall fall H4057 in this wilderness.

33 H1121 And your sons H7462 shall wander H4057 in the wilderness H705 forty H8141 years, H5375 and carry H2184 your whoredoms, H6297 until your carcasses H8552 be wasted H4057 in the wilderness.

34 H4557 After the number H3117 of the days H8446 in which you searched H776 the land, H705 even forty H3117 days, H3117 each day H3117 for a year, H5375 shall you carry H5771 your iniquities, H705 even forty H8141 years, H3045 and you shall know H8569 my breach of promise.

35 H3068 I the Lord H1696 have said, H518 I will surely H6213 do H2063 it H7451 unto all this evil H5712 congregation, H3259 that are gathered together H4057 against me: in this wilderness H8552 they shall be consumed, H4191 and there they shall die.

36 H582 And the men, H4872 which Moses H7971 sent H8446 to search H776 the land, H7725 who returned, H5712 and made all the congregation H3885 to murmur H3318 against him, by bringing up H1681 a slander H776 upon the land,

37 H582 Even those H582 men H3318 that did bring up H7451 the evil H1681 report H776 upon the land, H4191 died H4046 by the plague H6440 before H3068 the Lord.

38 H3091 But Joshua H1121 the son H5126 of Nun, H3612 and Caleb H1121 the son H3312 of Jephunneh, H1992 which were of the men H1980 that went H8446 to search H776 the land, H2421 lived still.

39 H4872 And Moses H1696 told H1697 these sayings H1121 unto all the sons H3478 of Israel: H5971 and the people H56 mourned H3966 greatly.

40 H7925 And they rose up early H1242 in the morning, H5927 and gat them up H7218 into the top H2022 of the mountain, H559 saying, H2009 Behold, H5927 we be here, and will go up H4725 unto the place H3068 which the Lord H559 has promised: H2398 for we have sinned.

41 H4872 And Moses H559 said, H5674 Why now do you transgress H6310 the commandment H3068 of the Lord? H6743 but it shall not prosper.

42 H5927 Go not up, H3068 for the Lord H7130 is not among H5062 you; that you be not struck H6440 before H341 your enemies.

43 H6003 For the Amalekites H3669 and the Canaanites H6440 are there before H5307 you, and you shall fall H2719 by the sword: H7725 because you are turned H310 away H3068 from the Lord, H3068 therefore the Lord will not be with you.

44 H6075 But they presumed H5927 to go up H2022 unto the hill H7218 top: H727 nevertheless the ark H1285 of the covenant H3068 of the Lord, H4872 and Moses, H4185 departed H7130 not out H4264 of the camp.

45 H6003 Then the Amalekites H3381 came down, H3669 and the Canaanites H3427 which lived H2022 in that hill, H5221 and struck H3807 them, and defeated H2767 them, even unto Hormah.
