KJV_Strongs(i)
H4519 Manasseh H8147 was twelve H6240   H8141 years H1121 old H4427 when he began to reign [H8800]   H4427 , and he reigned [H8804]   H2572 fifty H2568 and five H8141 years H3389 in Jerusalem:
H6213 But did [H8799]   H7451 that which was evil H5869 in the sight H3068 of the LORD H8441 , like unto the abominations H1471 of the heathen H3068 , whom the LORD H3423 had cast out [H8689]   H6440 before H1121 the children H3478 of Israel.
H1129 For he built [H8799]   H7725 again [H8799]   H1116 the high places H3169 which Hezekiah H1 his father H5422 had broken down [H8765]   H6965 , and he reared up [H8686]   H4196 altars H1168 for Baalim H6213 , and made [H8799]   H842 groves H7812 , and worshipped [H8691]   H6635 all the host H8064 of heaven H5647 , and served [H8799]   them.
H1129 Also he built [H8804]   H4196 altars H1004 in the house H3068 of the LORD H3068 , whereof the LORD H559 had said [H8804]   H3389 , In Jerusalem H8034 shall my name H5769 be for ever.
H1129 And he built [H8799]   H4196 altars H6635 for all the host H8064 of heaven H8147 in the two H2691 courts H1004 of the house H3068 of the LORD.
H5674 And he caused H1121 his children H5674 to pass through [H8689]   H784 the fire H1516 in the valley H1121 of the son H2011 of Hinnom H6049 : also he observed times [H8782]   H5172 , and used enchantments [H8765]   H3784 , and used witchcraft [H8765]   H6213 , and dealt [H8804]   H178 with a familiar spirit H3049 , and with wizards H6213 : he wrought [H8800]   H7235 much [H8689]   H7451 evil H5869 in the sight H3068 of the LORD H3707 , to provoke him to anger [H8687]  .
H7760 And he set [H8799]   H6459 a carved image H5566 , the idol H6213 which he had made [H8804]   H1004 , in the house H430 of God H430 , of which God H559 had said [H8804]   H1732 to David H8010 and to Solomon H1121 his son H1004 , In this house H3389 , and in Jerusalem H977 , which I have chosen [H8804]   H7626 before all the tribes H3478 of Israel H7760 , will I put [H8799]   H8034 my name H5865 for ever:
H3254 Neither will I any more [H8686]   H5493 remove [H8687]   H7272 the foot H3478 of Israel H5921 from out H127 of the land H5975 which I have appointed [H8689]   H1 for your fathers H518 ; so that H8104 they will take heed [H8799]   H6213 to do [H8800]   H6680 all that I have commanded [H8765]   H8451 them, according to the whole law H2706 and the statutes H4941 and the ordinances H3027 by the hand H4872 of Moses.
H4519 So Manasseh H8582 made H3063 Judah H3427 and the inhabitants [H8802]   H3389 of Jerusalem H8582 to err [H8686]   H6213 , and to do [H8800]   H7451 worse H1471 than the heathen H3068 , whom the LORD H8045 had destroyed [H8689]   H6440 before H1121 the children H3478 of Israel.
H3068 And the LORD H1696 spake [H8762]   H4519 to Manasseh H5971 , and to his people H7181 : but they would not hearken [H8689]  .
H3068 Wherefore the LORD H935 brought [H8686]   H8269 upon them the captains of H6635 the host of H4428 the king H804 of Assyria H3920 , which took [H8799]   H4519 Manasseh H2336 among the thorns H631 , and bound him [H8799]   H5178 with fetters H3212 , and carried [H8686]   H894 him to Babylon.
H6887 And when he was in affliction [H8687]   H2470 , he besought [H8765]   H3068 the LORD H430 his God H3665 , and humbled [H8735]   H3966 himself greatly H6440 before H430 the God H1 of his fathers,
H6419 And prayed [H8691]   H6279 unto him: and he was intreated [H8735]   H8085 of him, and heard [H8799]   H8467 his supplication H7725 , and brought him again [H8686]   H3389 to Jerusalem H4438 into his kingdom H4519 . Then Manasseh H3045 knew [H8799]   H3068 that the LORD H430 he was God.
H310 Now after this H1129 he built [H8804]   H2346 a wall H2435 without H5892 the city H1732 of David H4628 , on the west side H1521 of Gihon H5158 , in the valley H935 , even to the entering in [H8800]   H1709 at the fish H8179 gate H5437 , and compassed [H8804]   H6077 about Ophel H1361 , and raised it up [H8686]   H3966 a very great height H7760 , and put [H8799]   H8269 captains H2428 of war H1219 in all the fenced [H8803]   H5892 cities H3063 of Judah.
H5493 And he took away [H8686]   H5236 the strange H430 gods H5566 , and the idol H1004 out of the house H3068 of the LORD H4196 , and all the altars H1129 that he had built [H8804]   H2022 in the mount H1004 of the house H3068 of the LORD H3389 , and in Jerusalem H7993 , and cast [H8686]   H2351 them out H5892 of the city.
H1129 And he repaired [H8799]   H4196 the altar H3068 of the LORD H2076 , and sacrificed [H8799]   H8002 thereon peace H2077 offerings H8426 and thank offerings H559 , and commanded [H8799]   H3063 Judah H5647 to serve [H8800]   H3068 the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel.
H61 Nevertheless H5971 the people H2076 did sacrifice [H8802]   H1116 still in the high places H3068 , yet unto the LORD H430 their God only.
H3499 Now the rest H1697 of the acts H4519 of Manasseh H8605 , and his prayer H430 unto his God H1697 , and the words H2374 of the seers H1696 that spake [H8764]   H8034 to him in the name H3068 of the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel H1697 , behold, they are written in the book H4428 of the kings H3478 of Israel.
H8605 His prayer H6279 also, and how God was intreated [H8736]   H2403 of him, and all his sin H4604 , and his trespass H4725 , and the places H1129 wherein he built [H8804]   H1116 high places H5975 , and set up [H8689]   H842 groves H6456 and graven images H6440 , before H3665 he was humbled [H8736]   H3789 : behold, they are written [H8803]   H1697 among the sayings H2374 of the seers [H8676]   H2335  .
H4519 So Manasseh H7901 slept [H8799]   H1 with his fathers H6912 , and they buried [H8799]   H1004 him in his own house H526 : and Amon H1121 his son H4427 reigned [H8799]   in his stead.
H526 Amon H8147 was two H6242 and twenty H8141 years H1121 old H4427 when he began to reign [H8800]   H4427 , and reigned [H8804]   H8147 two H8141 years H3389 in Jerusalem.
H6213 But he did [H8799]   H7451 that which was evil H5869 in the sight H3068 of the LORD H6213 , as did [H8804]   H4519 Manasseh H1 his father H526 : for Amon H2076 sacrificed [H8765]   H6456 unto all the carved images H4519 which Manasseh H1 his father H6213 had made [H8804]   H5647 , and served [H8799]   them;
H3665 And humbled [H8738]   H6440 not himself before H3068 the LORD H4519 , as Manasseh H1 his father H3665 had humbled [H8736]   H526 himself; but Amon H819 trespassed H7235 more and more [H8689]  .
H5650 And his servants H7194 conspired [H8799]   H4191 against him, and slew [H8686]   H1004 him in his own house.
H5971 But the people H776 of the land H5221 slew [H8686]   H7194 all them that had conspired [H8802]   H4428 against king H526 Amon H5971 ; and the people H776 of the land H4427 made H2977 Josiah H1121 his son H4427 king [H8686]   in his stead.
ERV(i) 1 Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign; and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem, 2 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel. 3 For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down; and he reared up altars for the Baalim, and made Asheroth, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them. 4 And he built altars in the house of the LORD, whereof the LORD said, In Jerusalem shall my name be forever. 5 And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. 6 He also made his Children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: and he practised augury, and used enchantments, and practised sorcery, and dealt with them that had familiar spirits, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger. 7 And he set the graven image of the idol, which he had made in the house of God, of which God said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever: 8 neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from off the land which I have appointed for your fathers; if only they will observe to do all that I have commanded them, even all the law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses. 9 And Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, so that they did evil more than did the nations, whom the LORD destroyed before the children of Israel. 10 And the LORD spake to Manasseh, and to his people: but they gave no heed. 11 Wherefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh in chains, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon. 12 And when he was in distress, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. 13 And he prayed unto him; and he was entreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God. 14 Now after this he built an outer wall to the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entering in at the fish gate; and he compassed about Ophel, and raised it up a very great height: and he put valiant captains in all the fenced cities of Judah. 15 And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the LORD, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the LORD, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city. 16 And he built up the altar of the LORD, and offered thereon sacrifices of peace offerings and of thanksgiving, and commanded Judah to serve the LORD, the God of Israel. 17 Nevertheless the people did sacrifice still in the high places, but only unto the LORD their God. 18 Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer unto his God, and the words of the seers that spake to him in the name of the LORD, the God of Israel, behold, they are written among the acts of the kings of Israel. 19 His prayer also, and how [God] was entreated of him, and all his sin and his trespass, and the places wherein he built high places, and set up the Asherim and the graven images, before he humbled himself: behold, they are written in the history of Hozai. 20 So Manasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in his own house: and Amon his son reigned in his stead. 21 Amon was twenty and two years old when he began to reign; and he reigned two years in Jerusalem. 22 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as did Manasseh his father: and Amon sacrificed unto all the graven images which Manasseh his father had made, and served them. 23 And he humbled not himself before the LORD, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself; but this same Amon trespassed more and more. 24 And his servants conspired against him, and put him to death in his own house. 25 But the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.
