Proverbs 6

KJV_Strongs(i)
H1121 My son H6148 , if thou be surety [H8804]   H7453 for thy friend H8628 , if thou hast stricken [H8804]   H3709 thy hand H2114 with a stranger [H8801]  ,
H3369 Thou art snared [H8738]   H561 with the words H6310 of thy mouth H3920 , thou art taken [H8738]   H561 with the words H6310 of thy mouth.
H6213 Do [H8798]   H645 this now H1121 , my son H5337 , and deliver [H8734]   H935 thyself, when thou art come [H8804]   H3709 into the hand H7453 of thy friend H3212 ; go [H8798]   H7511 , humble [H8690]   H7292 thyself, and make sure [H8798]   H7453 thy friend.
H5414 Give [H8799]   H8142 not sleep H5869 to thine eyes H8572 , nor slumber H6079 to thine eyelids.
H5337 Deliver [H8734]   H6643 thyself as a roe H3027 from the hand H6833 of the hunter, and as a bird H3027 from the hand H3353 of the fowler.
H3212 Go [H8798]   H5244 to the ant H6102 , thou sluggard H7200 ; consider [H8798]   H1870 her ways H2449 , and be wise [H8798]  :
H7101 Which having no guide H7860 , overseer [H8802]   H4910 , or ruler [H8802]  ,
H3559 Provideth [H8686]   H3899 her meat H7019 in the summer H103 , and gathereth [H8804]   H3978 her food H7105 in the harvest.
H7901 How long wilt thou sleep [H8799]   H6102 , O sluggard H6965 ? when wilt thou arise [H8799]   H8142 out of thy sleep?
H4592 Yet a little H8142 sleep H4592 , a little H8572 slumber H4592 , a little H2264 folding H3027 of the hands H7901 to sleep [H8800]  :
H7389 So shall thy poverty H935 come [H8804]   H1980 as one that travelleth [H8764]   H4270 , and thy want H4043 as an armed H376 man.
H1100 A naughty H120 person H205 , a wicked H376 man H1980 , walketh [H8802]   H6143 with a froward H6310 mouth.
H7169 He winketh [H8802]   H5869 with his eyes H4448 , he speaketh [H8802]   H7272 with his feet H3384 , he teacheth [H8688]   H676 with his fingers;
H8419 Frowardness H3820 is in his heart H2790 , he deviseth [H8802]   H7451 mischief H6256 continually H7971 ; he soweth [H8762]   H4066 discord [H8675]   H4090  .
H343 Therefore shall his calamity H935 come [H8799]   H6597 suddenly H6621 ; suddenly H7665 shall he be broken [H8735]   H4832 without remedy.
H8337 These six H3068 things doth the LORD H8130 hate [H8804]   H7651 : yea, seven H8441 are an abomination H5315 unto him:
H7311 A proud [H8802]   H5869 look H8267 , a lying H3956 tongue H3027 , and hands H8210 that shed [H8802]   H5355 innocent H1818 blood,
H3820 An heart H2790 that deviseth [H8802]   H205 wicked H4284 imaginations H7272 , feet H4116 that be swift [H8764]   H7323 in running [H8800]   H7451 to mischief,
H8267 A false H5707 witness H6315 that speaketh [H8686]   H3577 lies H7971 , and he that soweth [H8764]   H4090 discord H251 among brethren.
H1121 My son H5341 , keep [H8798]   H1 thy father's H4687 commandment H5203 , and forsake [H8799]   H8451 not the law H517 of thy mother:
H7194 Bind [H8798]   H8548 them continually H3820 upon thine heart H6029 , and tie [H8798]   H1621 them about thy neck.
H1980 When thou goest [H8692]   H5148 , it shall lead [H8686]   H7901 thee; when thou sleepest [H8800]   H8104 , it shall keep [H8799]   H6974 thee; and when thou awakest [H8689]   H7878 , it shall talk [H8799]   with thee.
H4687 For the commandment H5216 is a lamp H8451 ; and the law H216 is light H8433 ; and reproofs H4148 of instruction H1870 are the way H2416 of life:
H8104 To keep [H8800]   H7451 thee from the evil H802 woman H2513 , from the flattery H3956 of the tongue H5237 of a strange woman.
H2530 Lust [H8799]   H3308 not after her beauty H3824 in thine heart H3947 ; neither let her take [H8799]   H6079 thee with her eyelids.
H1157 For by means of H2181 a whorish [H8802]   H802 woman H3603 a man is brought to a piece H3899 of bread H802 : and the adulteress H376   H6679 will hunt [H8799]   H3368 for the precious H5315 life.
H376 Can a man H2846 take [H8799]   H784 fire H2436 in his bosom H899 , and his clothes H8313 not be burned [H8735]  ?
H376 Can one H1980 go [H8762]   H1513 upon hot coals H7272 , and his feet H3554 not be burned [H8735]  ?
H935 So he that goeth in [H8802]   H7453 to his neighbour's H802 wife H5060 ; whosoever toucheth [H8802]   H5352 her shall not be innocent [H8735]  .
H936 Men do not despise [H8799]   H1590 a thief H1589 , if he steal [H8799]   H4390 to satisfy [H8763]   H5315 his soul H7456 when he is hungry [H8799]  ;
H4672 But if he be found [H8738]   H7999 , he shall restore [H8762]   H7659 sevenfold H5414 ; he shall give [H8799]   H1952 all the substance H1004 of his house.
H5003 But whoso committeth adultery [H8802]   H802 with a woman H2638 lacketh H3820 understanding H6213 : he that doeth [H8799]   H7843 it destroyeth [H8688]   H5315 his own soul.
H5061 A wound H7036 and dishonour H4672 shall he get [H8799]   H2781 ; and his reproach H4229 shall not be wiped away [H8735]  .
H7068 For jealousy H2534 is the rage H1397 of a man H2550 : therefore he will not spare [H8799]   H3117 in the day H5359 of vengeance.
H5375 He will not regard [H8799]   H6440   H3724 any ransom H14 ; neither will he rest content [H8799]   H7235 , though thou givest many [H8686]   H7810 gifts.
ERV(i) 1 My son, if thou art become surety for thy neighbour, if thou hast stricken thy hands for a stranger, 2 Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth. 3 Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, seeing thou art come into the hand of thy neighbour; go, humble thyself, and importune thy neighbour. 4 Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids. 5 Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand [of the hunter], and as a bird from the hand of the fowler. 6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: 7 Which having no chief, overseer, or ruler, 8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. 9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? 10 [Yet] a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: 11 So shall thy poverty come as a robber, and thy want as an armed man. 12 A worthless person, a man of iniquity; he walketh with a froward mouth; 13 He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he maketh signs with his fingers; 14 Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth evil continually; he soweth discord. 15 Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; on a sudden shall he be broken and that without remedy. 16 There be six things which the LORD hateth; yea, seven which are an abomination unto him: 17 Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood; 18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief; 19 A false witness that uttereth lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. 20 My son, keep the commandment of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother: 21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, tie them about thy neck. 22 When thou walkest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall watch over thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee. 23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life: 24 To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the stranger’s tongue. 25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids. 26 For on account of a whorish woman [a man is brought] to a piece of bread: and the adulteress hunteth for the precious life. 27 Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned? 28 Or can one walk upon hot coals, and his feet not be scorched? 29 So he that goeth in to his nieghbour’s wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be unpunished. 30 Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry: 31 But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house. 32 He that committeth adultery with a woman is void of understanding: he doeth it that would destroy his own soul. 33 Wounds and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away. 34 For jealousy is the rage of a man; and he will not spare in the day of vengeance. 35 He will not regard any ransom; neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts.
