  2 H3290 Then Jacob H559 said [H8799]   H1004 unto his household H5493 , and to all that were with him, Put away [H8685]   H5236 the strange H430 gods H8432 that are among you H2891 , and be clean [H8690]   H2498 , and change [H8685]   H8071 your garments:
  3 H6965 And let us arise [H8799]   H5927 , and go up [H8799]   H1008 to Bethel H6213 ; and I will make [H8799]   H4196 there an altar H410 unto God H6030 , who answered [H8802]   H3117 me in the day H6869 of my distress H1870 , and was with me in the way H1980 which I went [H8804]  .
  4 H5414 And they gave [H8799]   H3290 unto Jacob H5236 all the strange H430 gods H3027 which were in their hand H5141 , and all their earrings H241 which were in their ears H3290 ; and Jacob H2934 hid [H8799]   H424 them under the oak H7927 which was by Shechem.
  5 H5265 And they journeyed [H8799]   H2847 : and the terror H430 of God H5892 was upon the cities H5439 that were round about H7291 them, and they did not pursue [H8804]   H310 after H1121 the sons H3290 of Jacob.
  6 H3290 So Jacob H935 came [H8799]   H3870 to Luz H776 , which is in the land H3667 of Canaan H1008 , that is, Bethel H5971 , he and all the people that were with him.
  7 H1129 And he built [H8799]   H4196 there an altar H7121 , and called [H8799]   H4725 the place H416 Elbethel H430 : because there God H1540 appeared [H8738]   H1272 unto him, when he fled [H8800]   H6440 from the face H251 of his brother.
  8 H1683 But Deborah H7259 Rebekah's H3243 nurse [H8688]   H4191 died [H8799]   H6912 , and she was buried [H8735]   H1008 beneath Bethel H437 under an oak H8034 : and the name H7121 of it was called [H8799]   H439 Allonbachuth.
  9 H430 And God H7200 appeared [H8735]   H3290 unto Jacob H935 again, when he came [H8800]   H6307 out of Padanaram H1288 , and blessed [H8762]   him.
  10 H430 And God H559 said [H8799]   H8034 unto him, Thy name H3290 is Jacob H8034 : thy name H7121 shall not be called [H8735]   H3290 any more Jacob H3478 , but Israel H8034 shall be thy name H7121 : and he called [H8799]   H8034 his name H3478 Israel.
  11 H430 And God H559 said [H8799]   H410 unto him, I am God H7706 Almighty H6509 : be fruitful [H8798]   H7235 and multiply [H8798]   H1471 ; a nation H6951 and a company H1471 of nations H4428 shall be of thee, and kings H3318 shall come [H8799]   H2504 out of thy loins;
  12 H776 And the land H5414 which I gave [H8804]   H85 Abraham H3327 and Isaac H5414 , to thee I will give it [H8799]   H2233 , and to thy seed H310 after thee H5414 will I give [H8799]   H776 the land.
  13 H430 And God H5927 went up [H8799]   H4725 from him in the place H1696 where he talked [H8765]   with him.
  14 H3290 And Jacob H5324 set up [H8686]   H4676 a pillar H4725 in the place H1696 where he talked [H8765]   H4678 with him, even a pillar H68 of stone H5258 : and he poured [H8686]   H5262 a drink offering H3332 thereon, and he poured [H8799]   H8081 oil thereon.
  15 H3290 And Jacob H7121 called [H8799]   H8034 the name H4725 of the place H430 where God H1696 spake [H8765]   H1008 with him, Bethel.
  16 H5265 And they journeyed [H8799]   H1008 from Bethel H5750 ; and there was but H3530 a little H776 way H935 to come [H8800]   H672 to Ephrath H7354 : and Rachel H3205 travailed [H8799]   H7185 , and she had hard [H8762]   H3205 labour [H8800]  .
  17 H7185 And it came to pass, when she was in hard [H8687]   H3205 labour [H8800]   H3205 , that the midwife [H8764]   H559 said [H8799]   H3372 unto her, Fear [H8799]   H1121 not; thou shalt have this son also.
  18 H5315 And it came to pass, as her soul H3318 was in departing [H8800]   H4191 , (for she died [H8804]   H7121 ) that she called [H8799]   H8034 his name H1126 Benoni H1 : but his father H7121 called [H8804]   H1144 him Benjamin.
  19 H7354 And Rachel H4191 died [H8799]   H6912 , and was buried [H8735]   H1870 in the way H672 to Ephrath H1035 , which is Bethlehem.
  20 H3290 And Jacob H5324 set [H8686]   H4676 a pillar H6900 upon her grave H4678 : that is the pillar H7354 of Rachel's H6900 grave H3117 unto this day.
  21 H3478 And Israel H5265 journeyed [H8799]   H5186 , and spread [H8799]   H168 his tent H1973 beyond H4026 the tower H4029 of Edar.
  22 H3478 And it came to pass, when Israel H7931 dwelt [H8800]   H776 in that land H7205 , that Reuben H3212 went [H8799]   H7901 and lay [H8799]   H1090 with Bilhah H1 his father's H6370 concubine H3478 : and Israel H8085 heard [H8799]   H1121 it . Now the sons H3290 of Jacob H8147 were twelve H6240  :
  23 H1121 The sons H3812 of Leah H7205 ; Reuben H3290 , Jacob's H1060 firstborn H8095 , and Simeon H3878 , and Levi H3063 , and Judah H3485 , and Issachar H2074 , and Zebulun:
  24 H1121 The sons H7354 of Rachel H3130 ; Joseph H1144 , and Benjamin:
  25 H1121 And the sons H1090 of Bilhah H7354 , Rachel's H8198 handmaid H1835 ; Dan H5321 , and Naphtali:
  26 H1121 And the sons H2153 of Zilpah H3812 , Leah's H8198 handmaid H1410 ; Gad H836 , and Asher H1121 : these are the sons H3290 of Jacob H3205 , which were born [H8795]   H6307 to him in Padanaram.
  27 H3290 And Jacob H935 came [H8799]   H3327 unto Isaac H1 his father H4471 unto Mamre H7153 , unto the city of Arbah H2275 , which is Hebron H85 , where Abraham H3327 and Isaac H1481 sojourned [H8804]  .
  28 H3117 And the days H3327 of Isaac H3967 were an hundred H8141   H8084 and fourscore H8141 years.
  29 H3327 And Isaac H1478 gave up the ghost [H8799]   H4191 , and died [H8799]   H622 , and was gathered [H8735]   H5971 unto his people H2205 , being old H7649 and full H3117 of days H1121 : and his sons H6215 Esau H3290 and Jacob H6912 buried [H8799]   him.

  3 H6965 ונקומה And let us arise, H5927 ונעלה and go up H1008 בית אל to Bethel; H6213 ואעשׂה and I will make H8033 שׁם there H4196 מזבח an altar H410 לאל unto God, H6030 הענה who answered H853 אתי   H3117 ביום me in the day H6869 צרתי of my distress, H1961 ויהי and was H5978 עמדי   H1870 בדרך me in the way H834 אשׁר which H1980 הלכתי׃ I went.
  4 H5414 ויתנו And they gave H413 אל unto H3290 יעקב Jacob H853 את   H3605 כל all H430 אלהי gods H5236 הנכר the strange H834 אשׁר which H3027 בידם in their hand, H853 ואת   H5141 הנזמים and earrings H834 אשׁר which H241 באזניהם in their ears; H2934 ויטמן hid H853 אתם   H3290 יעקב and Jacob H8478 תחת them under H424 האלה the oak H834 אשׁר which H5973 עם by H7927 שׁכם׃ Shechem.
  5 H5265 ויסעו And they journeyed: H1961 ויהי was H2847 חתת and the terror H430 אלהים of God H5921 על upon H5892 הערים the cities H834 אשׁר that H5439 סביבותיהם round about H3808 ולא them, and they did not H7291 רדפו pursue H310 אחרי after H1121 בני the sons H3290 יעקב׃ of Jacob.
  6 H935 ויבא came H3290 יעקב So Jacob H3870 לוזה to Luz, H834 אשׁר which H776 בארץ in the land H3667 כנען of Canaan, H1931 הוא that H1008 בית אל Bethel, H1931 הוא he H3605 וכל and all H5971 העם the people H834 אשׁר that H5973 עמו׃ with
  7 H1129 ויבן And he built H8033 שׁם there H4196 מזבח an altar, H7121 ויקרא and called H4725 למקום the place H410 אל   H1008 בית אל   H3588 כי because H8033 שׁם there H1540 נגלו appeared H413 אליו unto H430 האלהים God H1272 בברחו him, when he fled H6440 מפני from the face H251 אחיו׃ of his brother.
  8 H4191 ותמת died, H1683 דברה But Deborah H3243 מינקת nurse H7259 רבקה Rebekah's H6912 ותקבר and she was buried H8478 מתחת beneath H1008 לבית אל Bethel H8478 תחת under H437 האלון an oak: H7121 ויקרא of it was called H8034 שׁמו and the name H439 אלון בכות׃ Allon-bachuth.
  9 H7200 וירא appeared H430 אלהים And God H413 אל unto H3290 יעקב Jacob H5750 עוד again, H935 בבאו when he came H6307 מפדן ארם   H1288 ויברך and blessed H853 אתו׃  
  10 H559 ויאמר said H430 לו אלהים And God H8034 שׁמך unto him, Thy name H3290 יעקב Jacob: H3808 לא shall not H7121 יקרא be called H8034 שׁמך thy name H5750 עוד any more H3290 יעקב Jacob, H3588 כי but H518 אם but H3478 ישׂראל Israel H1961 יהיה shall be H8034 שׁמך thy name: H7121 ויקרא and he called H853 את   H8034 שׁמו his name H3478 ישׂראל׃ Israel.
  11 H559 ויאמר said H430 לו אלהים And God H589 אני unto him, I H410 אל God H7706 שׁדי Almighty: H6509 פרה be fruitful H7235 ורבה and multiply; H1471 גוי a nation H6951 וקהל and a company H1471 גוים of nations H1961 יהיה shall be H4480 ממך of H4428 ומלכים thee, and kings H2504 מחלציך of thy loins; H3318 יצאו׃ shall come out
  12 H853 ואת   H776 הארץ And the land H834 אשׁר which H5414 נתתי I gave H85 לאברהם Abraham H3327 וליצחק and Isaac, H5414 לך אתננה to thee I will give H2233 ולזרעך it, and to thy seed H310 אחריך after H5414 אתן thee will I give H853 את   H776 הארץ׃ the land.
  13 H5927 ויעל went up H5921 מעליו from H430 אלהים And God H4725 במקום him in the place H834 אשׁר where H1696 דבר he talked H854 אתו׃ with
  14 H5324 ויצב set up H3290 יעקב And Jacob H4676 מצבה a pillar H4725 במקום in the place H834 אשׁר where H1696 דבר he talked H854 אתו with H4678 מצבת him, a pillar H68 אבן of stone: H5258 ויסך and he poured H5921 עליה thereon, H5262 נסך a drink offering H3332 ויצק and he poured H5921 עליה thereon. H8081 שׁמן׃ oil
  15 H7121 ויקרא called H3290 יעקב And Jacob H853 את   H8034 שׁם the name H4725 המקום of the place H834 אשׁר where H1696 דבר spoke H854 אתו with H8033 שׁם   H430 אלהים God H1008 בית אל׃ him, Bethel.
  16 H5265 ויסעו And they journeyed H1008 מבית אל   H1961 ויהי and there was H5750 עוד but H3530 כברת a little way H776 הארץ a little way H935 לבוא to come H672 אפרתה to Ephrath: H3205 ותלד travailed, H7354 רחל and Rachel H7185 ותקשׁ and she had hard H3205 בלדתה׃ labor.
  17 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass, H7185 בהקשׁתה when she was in hard H3205 בלדתה labor, H559 ותאמר said H3205 לה המילדת that the midwife H408 אל not; H3372 תיראי unto her, Fear H3588 כי   H1571 גם also. H2088 זה thou shalt have this H1121 לך בן׃ son
  18 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass, H3318 בצאת was in departing, H5315 נפשׁה as her soul H3588 כי (for H4191 מתה she died) H7121 ותקרא that she called H8034 שׁמו his name H1126 בן אוני Ben-oni: H1 ואביו but his father H7121 קרא called H1144 לו בנימין׃ him Benjamin.
  19 H4191 ותמת died, H7354 רחל And Rachel H6912 ותקבר and was buried H1870 בדרך in the way H672 אפרתה to Ephrath, H1931 הוא which H1035 בית לחם׃ Bethlehem.
  20 H5324 ויצב set H3290 יעקב And Jacob H4676 מצבה a pillar H5921 על upon H6900 קברתה her grave: H1931 הוא that H4678 מצבת the pillar H6900 קברת grave H7354 רחל of Rachel's H5704 עד unto H3117 היום׃ this day.
  21 H5265 ויסע journeyed, H3478 ישׂראל And Israel H5186 ויט and spread H168 אהלה his tent H1973 מהלאה beyond H4029 למגדל עדר׃ of Edar.
  22 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass, H7931 בשׁכן dwelt H3478 ישׂראל when Israel H776 בארץ land, H1931 ההוא in that H1980 וילך went H7205 ראובן that Reuben H7901 וישׁכב and lay with H853 את   H1090 בלהה Bilhah H6370 פילגשׁ concubine: H1 אביו his father's H8085 וישׁמע heard H3478 ישׂראל and Israel H1961 ויהיו were H1121 בני Now the sons H3290 יעקב of Jacob H8147 שׁנים twelve: H6240 עשׂר׃ twelve:
  23 H1121 בני The sons H3812 לאה of Leah; H1060 בכור firstborn, H3290 יעקב Jacob's H7205 ראובן Reuben, H8095 ושׁמעון and Simeon, H3878 ולוי and Levi, H3063 ויהודה and Judah, H3485 וישׂשכר and Issachar, H2074 וזבלון׃ and Zebulun:
  24 H1121 בני The sons H7354 רחל of Rachel; H3130 יוסף Joseph, H1144 ובנימן׃ and Benjamin:
  25 H1121 ובני And the sons H1090 בלהה of Bilhah, H8198 שׁפחת handmaid; H7354 רחל Rachel's H1835 דן Dan, H5321 ונפתלי׃ and Naphtali:
  26 H1121 ובני And the sons H2153 זלפה of Zilpah, H8198 שׁפחת handmaid; H3812 לאה Leah's H1410 גד Gad, H836 ואשׁר and Asher: H428 אלה these H1121 בני the sons H3290 יעקב of Jacob, H834 אשׁר which H3205 ילד were born H6307 לו בפדן ארם׃ to him in Padan-aram.
  27 H935 ויבא came H3290 יעקב And Jacob H413 אל unto H3327 יצחק Isaac H1 אביו his father H4471 ממרא unto Mamre, H7153 קרית הארבע unto the city of Arbah, H1931 הוא which H2275 חברון Hebron, H834 אשׁר where H1481 גר sojourned. H8033 שׁם where H85 אברהם Abraham H3327 ויצחק׃ and Isaac
  28 H1961 ויהיו were H3117 ימי And the days H3327 יצחק of Isaac H3967 מאת a hundred H8141 שׁנה years. H8084 ושׁמנים and fourscore H8141 שׁנה׃  
  29 H1478 ויגוע gave up the ghost, H3327 יצחק And Isaac H4191 וימת and died, H622 ויאסף and was gathered H413 אל unto H5971 עמיו his people, H2205 זקן old H7649 ושׂבע and full H3117 ימים of days: H6912 ויקברו buried H853 אתו   H6215 עשׂו Esau H3290 ויעקב and Jacob H1121 בניו׃ and his sons
