  1 H4428 So the king H2001 and Haman H935 [H8799] came H8354 [H8800] to banquet H635 with Esther H4436 the queen.
2 H4428 And the king H559 [H8799] said H635 again to Esther H8145 on the second H3117 day H4960 at the banquet H3196 of wine, H7596 What is thy petition, H4436 queen H635 Esther? H5414 [H8735] and it shall be granted H1246 thee: and what is thy request? H6213 [H8735] and it shall be performed, H2677 even to the half H4438 of the kingdom.
3 H635 Then Esther H4436 the queen H6030 [H8799] answered H559 [H8799] and said, H4672 [H8804] If I have found H2580 favour H5869 in thine eyes, H4428 O king, H2895 [H8804] and if it shall please H4428 the king, H5315 let my life H5414 [H8735] be given H7596 me at my petition, H5971 and my people H1246 at my request:
4 H4376 [H8738] For we are sold, H5971 I and my people, H8045 [H8687] to be desolated, H2026 [H8800] to be slain, H6 [H8763] and to perish. H432 But if H4376 [H8738] we had been sold H5650 for male H8198 and female slaves, H2790 [H8689] I had held my tongue, H6862 although the constricter H7737 [H8802] could not compensate for H4428 the king's H5143 loss.
  5 H9001 Then H9009 the H4428 king H325 Ahasuerus H559 [H8799] answered H9001 and H559 [H8799] said H9005 to H635 Esther H9009 the H4436 queen, H4310 Who H1931 is he— H2088 this one, H9002 and H335 where H1931 is he— H2088 this one? H834 —whose H3820 heart H4390 [H8804] hath filled H9023 him H9005 to H6213 [H8800] do H3651 so?
6 H635 And Esther H559 [H8799] said, H376 H6862 The adversary H341 [H8802] and enemy H7451 is this wicked H2001 Haman. H2001 Then Haman H1204 [H8738] was afraid H6440 at the face of H4428 the king H4436 and the queen.
7 H4428 And the king H6965 [H8804] arising H4960 from the banquet H3196 of wine H2534 in his hot anger H1055 went into the palace H1594 garden: H2001 and Haman H5975 [H8804] stood up H1245 [H8763] to make request H5315 for his life H635 to Esther H4436 the queen; H7200 [H8804] for he saw H7451 that there was evil H3615 [H8804] determined H4428 against him by the king.
8 H4428 Then the king H7725 [H8804] returned H1055 out of the palace H1594 garden H1004 into the place H4960 of the banquet H3196 of wine; H2001 and Haman H5307 [H8802] had fallen H4296 upon the couch H635 on which Esther H559 [H8799] was. Then said H4428 the king, H3533 [H8800] Will he force H4436 the queen H1004 also before me in the house? H1697 As the word H3318 [H8804] went out H4428 of the king's H6310 mouth, H2645 [H8804] they covered H2001 Haman's H6440 face.
9 H2726 And Harbonah, H259 one H5631 of the chamberlains, H559 [H8799] said H6440 at the face of H4428 the king, H6086 Behold also, the gallows H2572 fifty H520 cubits H1364 high, H2001 which Haman H6213 [H8804] had made H4782 for Mordecai, H1696 [H8765] who had spoken H2896 good H4428 for the king, H5975 [H8802] standeth H1004 in the house H2001 of Haman. H4428 Then the king H559 [H8799] said, H8518 [H8798] Hang him on it.
  10 H8518 [H8799] So they hanged H2001 Haman H6086 on the gallows H3559 [H8689] that he had prepared H4782 for Mordecai. H4428 Then was the king's H2534 hot anger H7918 [H8804] pacified.

Yea, ask even half of the empire, and it shall be done." 3 Esther the queen answered and said: If I have found grace in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, then grant me my life at my desire and my people for my petition's sake: 4 for we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. And would God we were sold to be bondmen and bondwomen, then would I hold my tongue; although the enemy could not recompense the king's loss. 5 The king Ahasuerus spake and said unto queen Esther, "Who is he? As for Haman, he was exceedingly afraid before the king and the queen. 7 And the king arose from the banquet and from the wine in his displeasure and went in to the palace garden. And Haman stood up, and besought queen Esther for his life: for he saw that there was a mischeif prepared for him of the king already. 8 And when the king came again out of the palace garden into the parlor where they had eaten, Haman had laid him upon the bed that Esther sat upon. Then said the king, "Will he force the queen also? Beside me, in the house?" As soon as that word went out of the king's mouth, they covered Haman's face. 9 And Harbona, one of the chamberlains that stood before the king, said, "Behold, there standeth a gallows in Haman's house fifty cubits high, which he had made for Mordecai, that spake good for the king." The king said, "Hang him thereon." 10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had made for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.

DouayRheims(i) 1 So the king and Aman went in, to drink with the queen. 2 And the king said to her again the second day, after he was warm with wine: What is thy petition, Esther, that it may be granted thee? and what wilt thou have done: although thou ask the half of my kingdom, thou shalt have it. 3 Then she answered: If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please thee, give me my life for which I ask, and my people for which I request. 4 For we are given up, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. Aman hearing this was forthwith astonished, not being able to bear the countenance of the king and of the queen. 7 But the king being angry rose up, and went from the place of the banquet into the garden set with trees. Aman also rose up to entreat Esther the queen for his life, for he understood that evil was prepared for him by the king. 8 And when the king came back out of the garden set with trees, and entered into the place of the banquet, he found Aman was fallen upon the bed on which Esther lay, and he said: He will force the queen also in my presence, in my own house. The word was not yet gone out of the king's mouth, and immediately they covered his face. 9 And Harbona, one of the eunuchs that stood waiting on the king, said: Behold the gibbet which he hath prepared for Mardochai, who spoke for the king, standeth in Aman's house, being fifty cubits high. And the king said to him: Hang him upon it. 10 So Aman was hanged on the gibbet, which he had prepared for Mardochai: and the king's wrath ceased.

What is thy request, and what thy petition? to the half of my kingdom it shall be granted thee. 3 Thereupon she in reply said, If I have found favour in the sight of the king, let my life be granted at my request, and my people at my petition; 4 for I and my people are sold to be destroyed. Had it been to be plundered and reduced to slavery; that we and our children should be bondmen and bondwomen, I would have dissembled hearing it, for the accuser is not worthy of the king's court. 5 And the king said, Who is he who hath dared to do such a thing? 6 To which Esther replied, The adversary is Haman, this bad man. At this Haman was struck with consternation for fear of the king and the queen. 7 Then the king rising from the banquet went into the garden, and Haman supplicated the queen, for he saw himself in a desperate situation. 8 And on the king's returning out of the garden as Haman had prostrated himself on the sopha to supplicate the queen, the king said, What! would he offer violence to my wife in my house? Upon hearing this Haman was confounded. 9 Then Bugathan one of the chamberlains said to the king, Behold Hainan hath prepared a gallows for Mordecai who spoke for the king. There is at Haman's house a gallows actually erected fifty cubits high. Thereupon the king said, Let him be hanged thereon. 10 So Haman was hanged on the gallows which he had prepared for Mordecai, and the king's anger was appeased.

Then became Haman terrified before the king and the queen. 7 And the king arose in his fury from the banquet of wine, and went into the palace-garden: and Haman remained behind to make request for his life of Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil fully determined. 8 And when the king returned out of the palace-garden into the apartment of the banquet of wine, Haman was fallen upon the couch whereon Esther was: then said the king. Will he even do violence to the queen before me in the house? The word had just come out of the king’s mouth, when they covered Haman’s face. 9 Then said Charbonah, one of the chamberlains, before the king, Behold, there is also the gallows, which Haman hath had made for Mordecai, who hath spoken well for the king, standing in the house of Haman, fifty cubits high.   2 H4428 And the king H559 said H635 again unto Esther H8145 on the second H3117 day H4960 at the banquet H3196 of wine, H7596 What is thy petition, H4436 queen H635 Esther? H5414 and it shall be granted H1246 thee: and what is thy request? H2677 even to the half H4438 of the kingdom H6213 it shall be performed.
3 H635 Then Esther H4436 the queen H6030 answered H559 and said, H4672 If I have found H2580 favor H5869 in thy sight, H4428 O king, H2895 and if it please H4428 the king, H5315 let my life H5414 be given H7596 me at my petition, H5971 and my people H1246 at my request:
4 H4376 for we are sold, H5971 I and my people, H8045 to be destroyed, H2026 to be slain, H6 and to perish. H432 But if H4376 we had been sold H5650 for bondmen H8198 and bondwomen, H2790 I had held my peace, H6862 although the adversary H7737 could not have compensated H4428 for the king's H5143 damage.
5 H559 Then spake H4428 the king H325 Ahasuerus H559 and said H635 unto Esther H4436 the queen, H4390 Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume H3820 in his heart H6213 to do so?
6 H635 And Esther H559 said, H376 An adversary H341 and an enemy, H7451 even this wicked H2001 Haman. H2001 Then Haman H1204 was afraid H6440 before H4428 the king H4436 and the queen.
7 H4428 And the king H6965 arose H2534 in his wrath H4960 from the banquet H3196 of wine H1055 and went into the palace H1594 garden: H2001 and Haman H5975 stood up H1245 to make request H5315 for his life H635 to Esther H4436 the queen; H7200 for he saw H7451 that there was evil H3615 determined H4428 against him by the king.
8 H4428 Then the king H7725 returned H1055 out of the palace H1594 garden H1004 into the place H4960 of the banquet H3196 of wine; H2001 and Haman H5307 was fallen H4296 upon the couch H635 whereon Esther H559 was. Then said H4428 the king, H3533 Will he even force H4436 the queen H1004 before me in the house? H1697 As the word H3318 went out H4428 of the king's H6310 mouth, H2645 they covered H2001 Haman's H6440 face.
9 H559 Then said H2726 Harbonah, H259 one H5631 of the chamberlains H6440 that were before H4428 the king, H6086 Behold also, the gallows H2572 fifty H520 cubits H1364 high, H2001 which Haman H6213 hath made H4782 for Mordecai, H1696 who spake H2896 good H4428 for the king, H5975 standeth H1004 in the house H2001 of Haman. H4428 And the king H559 said, H8518 Hang him thereon.
10 H8518 So they hanged H2001 Haman H6086 on the gallows H3559 that he had prepared H4782 for Mordecai. H4428 Then was the king's H2534 wrath H7918 pacified.

But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my peace, for the adversary is not worthy that the king be endamaged.' 5 Then spoke the king Ahasuerus and said unto Esther the queen: 'Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?' 6 And Esther said: 'An adversary and an enemy, even this wicked Haman.' Then Haman was terrified before the king and the queen. 7 And the king arose in his wrath from the banquet of wine and went into the palace garden; but Haman remained to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king. 8 Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon the couch whereon Esther was. Then said the king: 'Will he even force the queen before me in the house?' Rotherham(i) 1 So the king and Haman came in, to banquet with Esther the queen. 2 Then said the king unto Esther, on the second day also, during the banquet of wine, What is thy petition, Queen Esther, that it may be granted thee? and what is thy request––unto the half of the kingdom––that it may be performed? 3 Then answered Esther the queen, and said, If I have found favour in thine eyes, O king, and if, unto the king, it seem good, let my life be granted me, as my petition, and my people, as my request; 4 For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain and to be caused to perish. If indeed, for bondmen and for bondwomen, we had been sold, I had held my peace, although the adversary could not have made good the damage to the king. 5 Then spake King Ahasuerus, and said unto Esther the queen,––Who is he now, and where is he, whose heart is set to act thus? 6 And Esther said, A man who is an adversary and enemy, this wicked Haman. And, Haman, was terrified, before the king and the queen.
7 Now, the king, arising in his wrath from the banquet of wine, and going into the palace garden, Haman, stood to make request for his life from Esther the queen, for he saw that ruin, was determined against him, by the king. 8 When, the king, returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine, Haman, was lying prostrate upon the couch whereon Esther was. Then said the king, Will he, even dare to force the queen, while I am in the house? No sooner had the word gone forth out of the mouth of the king, than, the face of Haman, they had covered. 9 Then said Harbonah––one of the eunuchs before the king––Yea lo! the gallows that Haman made ready for Mordecai, who had spoken well for the king, is standing in Haman’s house, of a height of fifty cubits. Then said the king, Hang him thereon. 10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows which he had prepared for Mordecai,––and, the wrath of the king, was appeased.
CLV(i) 1 So the king and Haman came to feast with queen Esther. 2 Then, on the second day during the wine feast, the king asked Esther again:What is your request, queen Esther? It shall be granted to you. What is your urgent appeal? Unto half of the kingship, it shall be granted to you. 3 Queen Esther answered and said:If I have found favor in your eyes, O king, and if it seems good to the king, may my own soul be granted to me at my request, and my people's at my urgent appeal. 4 For we have been sold, I and my people, to be exterminated, to be killed and to be destroyed. Now supposing we had been sold as male slaves and as maids, I would have kept silence, for it would not be appropriate to report such a distress, and cause trouble to the king. 5 Then king Xerxes inquired; he asked queen Esther:Who, then, is he? And just where is he who has filled his heart to act in this way? 6 Esther replied:The man, the foe and enemy, is this evil Haman. Haman was frightened before the king and the queen. 7 When the king, in his fury, arose from the wine feast to go into the garden of the pavilion, Haman stayed behind to appeal earnestly for his soul from queen Esther, for he saw that there was evil determined against him from the king. 8 As the king was returning from the garden of the pavilion to the house of the wine feast, Haman was falling upon the couch on which Esther was. So the king shouted:Will he even molest the queen, with me in the house? As the word had come forth from the king's mouth, they hooded Haman's face. 9 And Harbona, one of the eunuchs before the king, said:Moreover, behold, there is standing at Haman's house the lofty gallows of fifty cubits that Haman had prepared for Mordecai who had spoken to the good of the king. So the king commanded:Hang him on it!" 10 Then they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. And the king's fury subsided.
BBE(i) 1 So the king and Haman came to take wine with Esther the queen. 2 And the king said to Esther again on the second day, while they were drinking, What is your prayer, Queen Esther? for it will be given to you; and what is your request? for it will be done, even to the half of my kingdom. 3 Then Esther the queen, answering, said, If I have your approval, O king, and if it is the king's pleasure, let my life be given to me in answer to my prayer, and my people at my request: 4 For we are given up, I and my people, to destruction and death and to be cut off. If we had been taken as men-servants and women-servants for a price, I would have said nothing, for our trouble is little in comparison with the king's loss. 5 Then King Ahasuerus said to Esther the queen, Who is he and where is he who has had this evil thought in his heart? 6 And Esther said, Our hater and attacker is this evil Haman. Then Haman was full of fear before the king and the queen. 7 And the king in his wrath got up from the feast and went into the garden: and Haman got to his feet to make a prayer for his life to Esther the queen: for he saw that the king's purpose was evil against him. 8 Then the king came back from the garden into the room where they had been drinking; and Haman was stretched out on the seat where Esther was. Then the king said, Is he taking the queen by force before my eyes in my house? And while the words were on the king's lips, they put a cloth over Haman's face. 9 Then Harbonah, one of the unsexed servants waiting before the king, said, See, the pillar fifty cubits high, which Haman made for Mordecai, who said a good word for the king, is still in its place in Haman's house. Then the king said, Put him to death by hanging him on it. 10 So Haman was put to death by hanging him on the pillar he had made for Mordecai. Then the king's wrath became less.

And the sovereign and Haman come to drink with Ester the sovereigness. 2 And the sovereign also says to Ester on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is your petition, sovereigness Ester? and so be it given you; And what is your request? and so be it worked to the half of the sovereigndom. 3 And Ester the sovereigness answers and says, If I find charism in your eyes, O sovereign and if it be good with the sovereign, may my soul be given me at my petition and my people at my request; 4 for we have been sold, I and my people, to desolate, to slaughter and to destruct. Even though we have been sold for servants and maids, I hushed; although the tribulator equated not the damage of the sovereign. 5 And sovereign Achash Rosh answers and says to Ester the sovereigness, Who is he and where is he, whose heart has filled him thus to work? 6 And Ester says, The tribulator and enemy is this evil Haman. - and Haman is frightened at the face of the sovereign and the sovereigness. 7 And the sovereign rises from the banquet of wine, and in his fury goes into the palace garden; and Haman stands to beseech for his soul to Ester the sovereigness; for he sees that there is evil finished against him by the sovereign. 8 And the sovereign returns from the palace garden to the house of the banquet of wine; and Haman falls upon the bed whereon Ester is.

2 Edhe ditën e dytë, ndërsa gjatë banketit po shërbehej vera, mbreti i tha Esterit: "Cila është kërkesa jote, o mbretëreshë Ester?

"Pokušavaš još i nasilje nad kraljicom, i to u mome vlastitom domu?" - povika kralj.
BKR(i) 1 A tak přišel král i Aman, aby hodovali s Ester královnou. 2 I řekl král k Ester opět druhého dne, napiv se vína: Jaká jest žádost tvá, Ester královno? A budeť dáno. I řekl král: Což ještě násilé učiniti chce královně u mne v domě? A hned jakž slovo to vyšlo z úst krále, tvář Amanovu zakryli.

FinnishPR(i) 1 Kun kuningas ja Haaman olivat tulleet kuningatar Esterin luo juomaan, 2 sanoi kuningas juominkien aikana Esterille nytkin, toisena päivänä: "Mitä pyydät, kuningatar Ester? Sitten kuninkaan viha asettui.

Se sa ase mwen mande ou. 4 Paske yo vann nou, mwen menm ansanm ak tout pèp mwen an, pou yo ka masakre nou, touye nou, disparèt nou nèt. Aman dekare, li pran tranble devan wa a ak larenn lan. 7 Wa a leve bò tab la byen move, li soti deyò al nan jaden palè a. Aman te konnen wa a tapral pini l' pou sa l' fè a. Wa a poko fin pale, nèg konfyans yo gen tan kouvri tèt Aman. Hungarian(i) 1 És elméne a király és Hámán a lakomára, Eszter királynéhoz. 2 És monda a király Eszternek másodnapon is, borivás közben: Mi a te kivánságod Eszter királyné? Megadatik. Akkor monda a király: Erõszakot is akar elkövetni a királynén én nálam a házban?! A mint e szó kijött a király szájából, Hámán arczát befedék. 9 És monda Harbona, az udvarmesterek egyike a király elõtt: Ímé a fa is, a melyet készített Hámán Márdokeusnak, a ki a király javára szólott vala, ott áll Hámán házában, ötven könyöknyi magas. És monda a király: Akasszátok õt magát reá! 10 Felakaszták azért Hámánt a fára, a melyet készített Márdokeusnak, és megszünék a király haragja.

Lithuanian(i) 1 Karalius ir Hamanas atėjo pas karalienę Esterą į vaišes. 2 Tą dieną, gerdamas vyną, karalius vėl klausė karalienę Esterą: “Pasakyk man savo prašymą, karaliene Estera.
4 Albowiemeśmy zaprzedani, ja i naród mój, abyśmy byli wygładzeni, wymordowani i wytraceni. I rzekł król: Powieście go na niej.
2 Ainda outra vez disse o rei a Ester, no segundo dia, durante o banquete do vinho: Qual é a tua petição, rainha Ester? e ser-te-á concedida; e qual é o teu rogo?
