Exodus 3 Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to the mountain of God, unto Horeb.

1 H4872 Now Moses H1961 was keeping H6629 the flock H3503 of Jethro H2859 his father-in-law, H3548 the priest H4080 of Midian: H5090 and he led H6629 the flock H310 to the back H4057 of the wilderness, H935 and came H2022 to the mountain H430 of God, H2722 unto Horeb.

2 H4397 And the angel H3068 of Jehovah H7200 appeared H3827 unto him in a flame H784 of fire H8432 out of the midst H5572 of a bush: H7200 and he looked, H5572 and, behold, the bush H1197 burned H784 with fire, H5572 and the bush H398 was not consumed.

3 H4872 And Moses H559 said, H5493 I will turn aside H7200 now, and see H1419 this great H4758 sight, H4069 why H5572 the bush H1197 is not burnt.

4 H3068 And when Jehovah H7200 saw H5493 that he turned aside H7200 to see, H430 God H7121 called H8432 unto him out of the midst H5572 of the bush, H559 and said, H4872 Moses, H4872 Moses. H559 And he said, Here am I.

5 H559 And he said, H7126 Draw not nigh H1988 hither: H5394 put off H5275 thy shoes H7272 from off thy feet, H4725 for the place H834 whereon H5975 thou standest H6944 is holy H127 ground.

6 H559 Moreover he said, H430 I am the God H1 of thy father, H430 the God H85 of Abraham, H430 the God H3327 of Isaac, H430 and the God H3290 of Jacob. H4872 And Moses H5641 hid H6440 his face; H3372 for he was afraid H5027 to look H430 upon God.

7 H3068 And Jehovah H559 said, H7200 I have surely H7200 seen H6040 the affliction H5971 of my people H4714 that are in Egypt, H8085 and have heard H6818 their cry H6440 by reason H5065 of their taskmasters; H3045 for I know H4341 their sorrows;

8 H3381 and I am come down H5337 to deliver H3027 them out of the hand H4714 of the Egyptians, H5927 and to bring H776 them up out of that land H2896 unto a good H776 land H7342 and a large, H776 unto a land H2100 flowing H2461 with milk H1706 and honey; H4725 unto the place H3669 of the Canaanite, H2850 and the Hittite, H567 and the Amorite, H6522 and the Perizzite, H2340 and the Hivite, H2983 and the Jebusite.

9 H6818 And now, behold, the cry H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H935 is come H7200 unto me: moreover I have seen H3906 the oppression H4714 wherewith the Egyptians H3905 oppress them.

10 H3212 Come H7971 now therefore, and I will send H6547 thee unto Pharaoh, H3318 that thou mayest bring forth H5971 my people H1121 the children H3478 of Israel H4714 out of Egypt.

11 H4872 And Moses H559 said H430 unto God, H3212 Who am I, that I should go H6547 unto Pharaoh, H3318 and that I should bring forth H1121 the children H3478 of Israel H4714 out of Egypt?

12 H559 And he said, H226 Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be the token H3588 unto thee, that H7971 I have sent H3318 thee: when thou hast brought forth H5971 the people H4714 out of Egypt, H5647 ye shall serve H430 God H2022 upon this mountain.

13 H4872 And Moses H559 said H430 unto God, H935 Behold, when I come H1121 unto the children H3478 of Israel, H559 and shall say H430 unto them, The God H1 of your fathers H7971 hath sent H559 me unto you; and they shall say H8034 to me, What is his name? H559 What shall I say unto them?

14 H430 And God H559 said H4872 unto Moses, H1961 I AM H1961 THAT I AM: H559 and he said, H559 Thus shalt thou say H1121 unto the children H3478 of Israel, H7971 I AM hath sent me unto you.

15 H430 And God H559 said H5750 moreover H4872 unto Moses, H559 Thus shalt thou say H1121 unto the children H3478 of Israel, H3068 Jehovah, H430 the God H1 of your fathers, H430 the God H85 of Abraham, H430 the God H3327 of Isaac, H430 and the God H3290 of Jacob, H7971 hath sent H8034 me unto you: this is my name H5769 for ever, H2143 and this is my memorial H1755 unto all H1755 generations.

16 H3212 Go, H622 and gather H2205 the elders H3478 of Israel H622 together, H559 and say H3068 unto them, Jehovah, H430 the God H1 of your fathers, H430 the God H85 of Abraham, H3327 of Isaac, H3290 and of Jacob, H7200 hath appeared H559 unto me, saying, H6485 I have surely H6485 visited H6213 you, and seen that which is done H4714 to you in Egypt:

17 H559 and I have said, H5927 I will bring H6040 you up out of the affliction H4714 of Egypt H776 unto the land H3669 of the Canaanite, H2850 and the Hittite, H567 and the Amorite, H6522 and the Perizzite, H2340 and the Hivite, H2983 and the Jebusite, H776 unto a land H2100 flowing H2461 with milk H1706 and honey.

18 H8085 And they shall hearken H6963 to thy voice: H935 and thou shalt come, H2205 thou and the elders H3478 of Israel, H4428 unto the king H4714 of Egypt, H559 and ye shall say H3068 unto him, Jehovah, H430 the God H5680 of the Hebrews, H7136 hath met H3212 with us: and now let us go, H7969 we pray thee, three H3117 days' H1870 journey H4057 into the wilderness, H2076 that we may sacrifice H3068 to Jehovah H430 our God.

19 H3045 And I know H4428 that the king H4714 of Egypt H5414 will not give you leave H1980 to go, H2389 no, not by a mighty H3027 hand.

20 H7971 And I will put forth H3027 my hand, H5221 and smite H4714 Egypt H6381 with all my wonders H6213 which I will do H7130 in the midst H310 thereof: and after H7971 that he will let you go.

21 H5414 And I will give H5971 this people H2580 favor H5869 in the sight H4714 of the Egyptians: H3212 and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, H3212 ye shall not go H7387 empty:

22 H802 but every woman H7592 shall ask H7934 of her neighbor, H1481 and of her that sojourneth H1004 in her house, H3627 jewels H3701 of silver, H3627 and jewels H2091 of gold, H8071 and raiment: H7760 and ye shall put H1121 them upon your sons, H1323 and upon your daughters; H5337 and ye shall despoil H4714 the Egyptians.
