23 H3789 וכתב shall write H853 את H423 האלת curses H428 האלה these H3548 הכהן And the priest H5612 בספר in a book, H4229 ומחה and he shall blot out H413 אל with H4325 מי water: H4751 המרים׃ the bitter

26 H7061 וקמץ shall take a handful H3548 הכהן And the priest H4480 מן of H4503 המנחה the offering, H853 את H234 אזכרתה the memorial H6999 והקטיר thereof, and burn H4196 המזבחה upon the altar, H310 ואחר and afterward H8248 ישׁקה to drink H853 את H802 האשׁה shall cause the woman H853 את H4325 המים׃ the water.

27 H8248 והשׁקה And when he hath made her to drink H853 את H4325 המים the water, H1961 והיתה then it shall come to pass, H518 אם if H2930 נטמאה she be defiled, H4603 ותמעל and have done H4604 מעל trespass H376 באישׁה against her husband, H935 ובאו shall enter H4325 בה המים that the water H779 המאררים that causeth the curse H4751 למרים into her, bitter, H6638 וצבתה shall swell, H990 בטנה and her belly H5307 ונפלה shall rot: H3409 ירכה and her thigh H1961 והיתה shall be H802 האשׁה and the woman H423 לאלה a curse H7130 בקרב among H5971 עמה׃ her people.

28 H518 ואם And if H3808 לא be not H2930 נטמאה defiled, H802 האשׁה the woman H2889 וטהרה but be clean; H1931 הוא H5352 ונקתה then she shall be free, H2232 ונזרעה and shall conceive H2233 זרע׃ seed.

CLV⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹⁹ Then the priest will adjure her and say to the woman:If no man has lain with you, and if you have not swerved in uncleanness while under your husband's authority, be innocent from the waters of bitterness that bring this curse. ²⁰ Yet you, in case you have swerved while under your husband's authority, and in case you have defiled yourself, while a man other than your husband gave his emission to you, ²¹ (thus the priest will adjure the woman with the oath of imprecation, and the priest will say to the woman:) Yahweh shall set you as an imprecation and an oath in the midst of your people when Yahweh makes your thigh fall away and your belly turgid. ²² So the waters that bring this curse will come into your bowels causing the belly to be turgid and the thigh to fall away. And the woman will say:Amen, amen. ²³ The priest will write these imprecations on a scroll, and he will wipe them out with the waters of bitterness. ²⁴ He will cause the woman to drink the waters of bitterness that bring the curse, and the waters that bring the curse will come into her as bitter ones. ²⁵ Then the priest will take from the hand of the woman the approach present of jealousies and wave the approach present before Yahweh and bring it near to the altar. ²⁶ The priest will extract from the approach present a memorial of it and cause it to fume on the altar, and afterward he shall cause the woman to drink the waters. ²⁷ When he causes her to drink the waters then it will come to be, if she has defiled herself and offended with an offense against her husband, that the waters that bring the curse will come into her as bitter ones, and her belly will be turgid, and her thigh will fall away, and the woman will come to be as an imprecation among her people. ²⁸ Yet if the woman has not defiled herself and she is clean, then she is held innocent, and will engender seed.

А жінка та скаже: Амінь, амінь! ²³ І напише священик ті прокляття на звої, й обмиє гіркою водою, ²⁴ і напоїть ту жінку гіркою водою, що наводить прокляття; і ввійде в неї та вода, що наводить прокляття, і дає гіркий біль. ²⁵ І візьме священик із руки тієї жінки ту хлібну жертву ревнощів, і буде колихати ту хлібну жертву перед Господнім лицем, та й принесе її до жертівника. ²⁶ І візьме священик жменю з хлібної жертви, як пригадувальну частину, та й спалить на жертівнику. А потім напоїть ту жінку водою. ²⁷ І напоїть водою, і станеться, якщо була вона занечищена й спроневірила своєму чоловікові, то ввійде в неї та вода, що наводить прокляття, і дасть гіркий біль, і опухне живіт її, і западе стегно її, і стане та жінка прокляттям серед народу свого. ²⁸ А якщо та жінка не була занечищена, і чиста вона, то буде очищена, і буде здатна родити дітей.
