  3 H4428 And the king H5975 stood H5982 by a pillar, H3772 and made H1285 a covenant H6440 before H3068 the LORD, H3212 to walk H310 after H3068 the LORD, H8104 and to keep H4687 his commandments H5715 and his testimonies H2708 and his statutes H3605 with all H3820 their heart H3605 and all H5315 their soul, H6965 to perform H1697 the words H2063 of this H1285 covenant H3789 that were written H2088 in this H5612 book.   6 H3318 And he brought H842 out the grove H1004 from the house H3068 of the LORD, H2351 without H3389 Jerusalem, H5158 to the brook H6939 Kidron, H8313 and burned H5158 it at the brook H6939 Kidron, H1854 and stamped H1854 it small H6083 to powder, H7993 and cast H6083 the powder H6913 thereof on the graves H1121 of the children H5971 of the people.
  7 H5422 And he broke H5422 down H1004 the houses H6945 of the sodomites, H1004 that were by the house H3068 of the LORD, H834 where H8033 H802 the women H707 wove H1004 hangings H842 for the grove.

  12 H4196 And the altars H5921 that were on H1406 the top H5944 of the upper H5944 chamber H271 of Ahaz, H834 which H4428 the kings H3063 of Judah H6213 had made, H4196 and the altars H834 which H4519 Manasseh H6213 had made H8147 in the two H2691 courts H1004 of the house H3068 of the LORD, H4428 did the king H5422 beat H7323 down, and broke H7323 them down H8033 from there, H7993 and cast H6083 the dust H413 of them into H5158 the brook H6939 Kidron.

  14 H7665 And he broke H4676 in pieces the images, H3772 and cut H842 down the groves, H4390 and filled H4725 their places H6106 with the bones H120 of men.
  15 H1571 Moreover H4196 the altar H1008 that was at Bethel, H1116 and the high H834 place which H3379 Jeroboam H1121 the son H5028 of Nebat, H834 who H3478 made Israel H2398 to sin, H6213 had made, H1571 both H4196 that altar H1116 and the high H5422 place he broke H5422 down, H8313 and burned H1116 the high H1854 place, and stamped H1854 it small H6083 to powder, H8313 and burned H842 the grove.
  16 H2977 And as Josiah H6437 turned H7200 himself, he spied H6913 the sepulchers H8033 that were there H2022 in the mount, H7971 and sent, H3947 and took H6106 the bones H6913 out of the sepulchers, H8313 and burned H4196 them on the altar, H2930 and polluted H1697 it, according to the word H3068 of the LORD H834 which H376 the man H430 of God H7121 proclaimed, H834 who H7121 proclaimed H428 these H1697 words.
  17 H559 Then he said, H4100 What H6725 title H7200 is that that I see? H582 And the men H5892 of the city H559 told H6913 him, It is the sepulcher H376 of the man H430 of God, H834 which H935 came H3063 from Judah, H7121 and proclaimed H428 these H1697 things H6213 that you have done H5921 against H4196 the altar H1008 of Bethel.
  18 H559 And he said, H3240 Let H3240 him alone; let H408 no H376 man H5128 move H6106 his bones. H6106 So they let his bones H4422 alone, H6106 with the bones H5030 of the prophet H935 that came H8111 out of Samaria.
  19 H3605 And all H1004 the houses H1571 also H1116 of the high H5892 places that were in the cities H8111 of Samaria, H834 which H4428 the kings H3478 of Israel H6213 had made H3707 to provoke the Lord to anger, H2977 Josiah H5493 took H5493 away, H6213 and did H3605 to them according to all H4639 the acts H6213 that he had done H1008 in Bethel.
  20 H2076 And he slew H3605 all H3548 the priests H1116 of the high H8033 places that were there H4196 on the altars, H8313 and burned H120 men’s H6106 bones H7725 on them, and returned H3389 to Jerusalem.
  21 H4428 And the king H6680 commanded H3605 all H5971 the people, H559 saying, H6213 Keep H6453 the passover H3068 to the LORD H430 your God, H3789 as it is written H5612 in the book H2088 of this H1285 covenant.
  22 H3588 Surely H6213 there was not held H2088 such H6453 a passover H3117 from the days H8199 of the judges H8199 that judged H3478 Israel, H3605 nor in all H3117 the days H4428 of the kings H3478 of Israel, H4428 nor of the kings H3063 of Judah;
  23 H6240 But in the eighteenth H8141 year H4428 of king H2977 Josiah, H2088 wherein this H6453 passover H6213 was held H3068 to the LORD H3389 in Jerusalem.

  25 H3644 And like H3808 to him was there no H4428 king H6440 before H7725 him, that turned H3068 to the LORD H3605 with all H3824 his heart, H3605 and with all H5315 his soul, H3605 and with all H3966 his might, H3605 according to all H8451 the law H4872 of Moses; H3808 neither H310 after H6965 him arose H3644 there any like him.
  26 H389 Notwithstanding H3068 the LORD H7725 turned H2740 not from the fierceness H1419 of his great H639 wrath, H834 with which H639 his anger H2734 was kindled H3063 against Judah, H5921 because H3605 of all H3708 the provocations H4519 that Manasseh H3707 had provoked him with.
  27 H3068 And the LORD H559 said, H5493 I will remove H3063 Judah H1571 also H6440 out of my sight, H5493 as I have removed H3478 Israel, H3988 and will cast H2063 off this H5892 city H3389 Jerusalem H834 which H977 I have chosen, H1004 and the house H834 of which H559 I said, H8034 My name H8033 shall be there.
  28 H3499 Now the rest H1697 of the acts H2977 of Josiah, H3605 and all H6213 that he did, H3789 are they not written H5612 in the book H1697 of the chronicles H3117 H4428 of the kings H3063 of Judah?
  29 H3117 In his days H6549 Pharaohnechoh H4428 king H4714 of Egypt H5927 went H5921 up against H4428 the king H804 of Assyria H5104 to the river H6578 Euphrates: H4428 and king H2977 Josiah H3212 went H7125 against H4191 him; and he slew H4023 him at Megiddo, H7200 when he had seen him.
  30 H5650 And his servants H7392 carried H4191 him in a chariot dead H4023 from Megiddo, H935 and brought H3389 him to Jerusalem, H6912 and buried H6900 him in his own sepulcher.   31 H3059 Jehoahaz H6242 was twenty H7969 and three H8141 years H1121 old H4427 when he began to reign; H4427 and he reigned H7969 three H2320 months H3389 in Jerusalem. H517 And his mother’s H8034 name H2537 was Hamutal, H1323 the daughter H3414 of Jeremiah H3841 of Libnah.
  32 H6213 And he did H7451 that which was evil H5869 in the sight H3068 of the LORD, H3605 according to all H1 that his fathers H6213 had done.
  33 H6549 And Pharaohnechoh H631 put him in bands H7247 at Riblah H776 in the land H2574 of Hamath, H4427 that he might not reign H3389 in Jerusalem; H776 and put the land H6066 to a tribute H3967 of an hundred H3603 talents H3701 of silver, H3603 and a talent H2091 of gold.
  34 H6549 And Pharaohnechoh H471 made Eliakim H1121 the son H2977 of Josiah H4427 king H8478 in the room H2977 of Josiah H1 his father, H5437 and turned H8034 his name H3079 to Jehoiakim, H3947 and took H3059 Jehoahaz H935 away: and he came H4714 to Egypt, H4191 and died H8033 there.
  35 H3079 And Jehoiakim H5414 gave H3701 the silver H2091 and the gold H6547 to Pharaoh; H6186 but he taxed H776 the land H5414 to give H3701 the money H5921 according H6310 to the commandment H6547 of Pharaoh: H5065 he exacted H3701 the silver H2091 and the gold H5971 of the people H776 of the land, H376 of every H376 one H6187 according to his taxation, H5414 to give H6549 it to Pharaohnechoh.
  36 H3079 Jehoiakim H6242 was twenty H2568 and five H8141 years H1121 old H4427 when he began to reign; H4427 and he reigned H259 eleven H6240 H8141 years H3389 in Jerusalem. H517 And his mother’s H8034 name H2081 was Zebudah, H1323 the daughter H6305 of Pedaiah H7316 of Rumah.
  37 H6213 And he did H7451 that which was evil H5869 in the sight H3068 of the LORD, H3605 according to all H1 that his fathers H6213 had done.
