Numbers 22:5-21 He sent messengers therefore to Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they abide over against me:

5 H7971 He sent H4397 messengers H1109 therefore to Balaam H1121 the son H1160 of Beor H6604 to Pethor, H834 which H5104 is by the river H776 of the land H1121 of the children H5971 of his people, H7121 to call H559 him, saying, H2009 Behold, H5971 there is a people H3318 come H4714 out from Egypt: H2009 behold, H3680 they cover H5869 the face H776 of the earth, H3427 and they abide H4136 over against me:

6 H3212 Come H6258 now H4994 therefore, I pray H779 you, curse H2088 me this H5971 people; H6099 for they are too mighty H194 for me: peradventure H3201 I shall prevail, H5221 that we may smite H1644 them, and that I may drive H776 them out of the land: H3045 for I know H834 that he whom H1288 you bless H1288 is blessed, H834 and he whom H779 you curse H779 is cursed.

7 H2205 And the elders H4124 of Moab H2205 and the elders H4080 of Midian H3212 departed H7081 with the rewards of divination H3027 in their hand; H935 and they came H1109 to Balaam, H1696 and spoke H1697 to him the words H1111 of Balak.

8 H559 And he said H3885 to them, Lodge H6311 here H3915 this night, H7725 and I will bring H1697 you word H7725 again, H3068 as the LORD H1696 shall speak H8269 to me: and the princes H4124 of Moab H3427 stayed H1109 with Balaam.

9 H430 And God H935 came H1109 to Balaam, H559 and said, H4310 What H582 men H428 are these with you?

10 H1109 And Balaam H559 said H430 to God, H1111 Balak H1121 the son H6834 of Zippor, H4428 king H4124 of Moab, H7971 has sent to me, saying,

11 H2009 Behold, H5971 there is a people H3318 come H4714 out of Egypt, H3680 which covers H5869 the face H776 of the earth: H3212 come H6258 now, H6895 curse H194 me them; peradventure H3201 I shall be able H3898 to overcome H1644 them, and drive them out.

12 H430 And God H559 said H1109 to Balaam, H3212 You shall not go H779 with them; you shall not curse H5971 the people: H1288 for they are blessed.

13 H1109 And Balaam H6965 rose H1242 up in the morning, H559 and said H8269 to the princes H1111 of Balak, H3212 Get H413 you into H776 your land: H3068 for the LORD H3985 refuses H5414 to give H5414 me leave H1980 to go with you.

14 H8269 And the princes H4124 of Moab H6965 rose H935 up, and they went H1111 to Balak, H559 and said, H1109 Balaam H3985 refuses H1980 to come with us.

15 H1111 And Balak H7971 sent H5750 yet H3254 again H8269 princes, H7227 more, H3513 and more honorable than they.

16 H935 And they came H1109 to Balaam, H559 and said H3541 to him, Thus H559 said H1111 Balak H1121 the son H6834 of Zippor, H408 Let nothing, H4994 I pray H4513 you, hinder H1980 you from coming to me:

17 H3513 For I will promote H3966 you to very H3513 great honor, H6213 and I will do H3605 whatever H834 H559 you say H3212 to me: come H4994 therefore, I pray H6895 you, curse H2088 me this H5971 people.

18 H1109 And Balaam H6030 answered H559 and said H5650 to the servants H1111 of Balak, H518 If H1111 Balak H5414 would give H1004 me his house H4393 full H3701 of silver H2091 and gold, H3808 I cannot H3201 H5674 go H5674 beyond H6310 the word H3068 of the LORD H430 my God, H6213 to do H6996 less H176 or H1419 more.

20 H430 And God H935 came H1109 to Balaam H3915 at night, H559 and said H518 to him, If H582 the men H935 come H7121 to call H6965 you, rise H3212 up, and go H389 with them; but yet H1697 the word H834 which H1696 I shall say H6213 to you, that shall you do.

21 H1109 And Balaam H6965 rose H1242 up in the morning, H2280 and saddled H860 his ass, H3212 and went H8269 with the princes H4124 of Moab.
