Isaiah 30

KJV_Strongs(i)
H1945 Woe H5637 to the rebellious [H8802]   H1121 children H5002 , saith [H8803]   H3068 the LORD H6213 , that take [H8800]   H6098 counsel H5258 , but not of me; and that cover [H8800]   H4541 with a covering H7307 , but not of my spirit H5595 , that they may add [H8800]   H2403 sin H2403 to sin:
H1980 That walk [H8802]   H3381 to go down [H8800]   H4714 into Egypt H7592 , and have not asked [H8804]   H6310 at my mouth H5810 ; to strengthen [H8800]   H4581 themselves in the strength H6547 of Pharaoh H2620 , and to trust [H8800]   H6738 in the shadow H4714 of Egypt!
H4581 Therefore shall the strength H6547 of Pharaoh H1322 be your shame H2622 , and the trust H6738 in the shadow H4714 of Egypt H3639 your confusion.
H8269 For his princes H6814 were at Zoan H4397 , and his ambassadors H5060 came [H8686]   H2609 to Hanes.
H3001 They were all ashamed [H8689]   H5971 of a people H3276 that could not profit [H8686]   H5828 them, nor be an help H3276 nor profit [H8687]   H1322 , but a shame H2781 , and also a reproach.
H4853 The burden H929 of the beasts H5045 of the south H776 : into the land H6869 of trouble H6695 and anguish H3833 , from whence come the young H3918 and old lion H660 , the viper H8314 and fiery H5774 flying [H8789]   H8314 serpent H5375 , they will carry [H8799]   H2428 their riches H3802 upon the shoulders H5895 of young asses H214 , and their treasures H1707 upon the bunches H1581 of camels H5971 , to a people H3276 that shall not profit [H8686]   them .
H4714 For the Egyptians H5826 shall help [H8799]   H1892 in vain H7385 , and to no purpose H7121 : therefore have I cried [H8804]   H2063 concerning this H1992 , Their H7293 strength H7674 is to sit still.
H935 Now go [H8798]   H3789 , write [H8798]   H3871 it before them in a table H2710 , and note [H8798]   H5612 it in a book H3117 , that it may be for the time H314 to come H5704 for H5703 ever H5769 and ever:
H4805 That this is a rebellious H5971 people H3586 , lying H1121 children H1121 , children H14 that will [H8804]   H8085 not hear [H8800]   H8451 the law H3068 of the LORD:
H559 Which say [H8804]   H7200 to the seers [H8802]   H7200 , See [H8799]   H2374 not; and to the prophets H2372 , Prophesy [H8799]   H5229 not unto us right things H1696 , speak [H8761]   H2513 unto us smooth things H2372 , prophesy [H8798]   H4123 deceits:
H5493 Get you out [H8798]   H1870 of the way H5186 , turn aside [H8685]   H734 out of the path H6918 , cause the Holy One H3478 of Israel H7673 to cease [H8685]   H6440 from before us.
H559 Wherefore thus saith [H8804]   H6918 the Holy One H3478 of Israel H3988 , Because ye despise [H8800]   H1697 this word H982 , and trust [H8799]   H6233 in oppression H3868 and perverseness [H8737]   H8172 , and stay [H8735]   thereon:
H5771 Therefore this iniquity H6556 shall be to you as a breach H5307 ready to fall [H8802]   H1158 , swelling out [H8737]   H7682 in a high [H8737]   H2346 wall H7667 , whose breaking H935 cometh [H8799]   H6597 suddenly H6621 at an instant.
H7665 And he shall break [H8804]   H7667 it as the breaking H3335 of the potters [H8802]   H5035 ' vessel H3807 that is broken in pieces [H8800]   H2550 ; he shall not spare [H8799]   H4672 : so that there shall not be found [H8735]   H4386 in the bursting H2789 of it a sherd H2846 to take [H8800]   H784 fire H3344 from the hearth [H8803]   H2834 , or to take [H8800]   H4325 water H1360 withal out of the pit.
H559 For thus saith [H8804]   H136 the Lord H3069 GOD H6918 , the Holy One H3478 of Israel H7729 ; In returning H5183 and rest H3467 shall ye be saved [H8735]   H8252 ; in quietness [H8687]   H985 and in confidence H1369 shall be your strength H14 : and ye would [H8804]   not.
H559 But ye said [H8799]   H5127 , No; for we will flee [H8799]   H5483 upon horses H5127 ; therefore shall ye flee [H8799]   H7392 : and, We will ride [H8799]   H7031 upon the swift H7291 ; therefore shall they that pursue [H8802]   H7043 you be swift [H8735]  .
H259 One H505 thousand H6440 shall flee at H1606 the rebuke H259 of one H6440 ; at H1606 the rebuke H2568 of five H5127 shall ye flee [H8799]   H3498 : till ye be left [H8738]   H8650 as a beacon H7218 upon the top H2022 of a mountain H5251 , and as an ensign H1389 on an hill.
H3068 And therefore will the LORD H2442 wait [H8762]   H2603 , that he may be gracious [H8800]   H7311 unto you, and therefore will he be exalted [H8799]   H7355 , that he may have mercy [H8763]   H3068 upon you: for the LORD H430 is a God H4941 of judgment H835 : blessed H2442 are all they that wait [H8802]   for him.
H5971 For the people H3427 shall dwell [H8799]   H6726 in Zion H3389 at Jerusalem H1058 : thou shalt weep [H8799]   H1058 no more [H8800]   H2603 : he will be very [H8800]   H2603 gracious [H8799]   H6963 unto thee at the voice H2199 of thy cry [H8800]   H8085 ; when he shall hear [H8800]   H6030 it, he will answer [H8804]   thee.
H136 And though the Lord H5414 give [H8804]   H3899 you the bread H6862 of adversity H4325 , and the water H3906 of affliction H3384 , yet shall not thy teachers [H8688]   H3670 be removed into a corner [H8735]   H5869 any more, but thine eyes H7200 shall see [H8802]   H3384 thy teachers [H8688]  :
H241 And thine ears H8085 shall hear [H8799]   H1697 a word H310 behind H559 thee, saying [H8800]   H1870 , This is the way H3212 , walk ye in it [H8798]   H541 , when ye turn to the right hand [H8686]   H8041 , and when ye turn to the left [H8686]  .
H2930 Ye shall defile [H8765]   H6826 also the covering H6456 of thy graven images H3701 of silver H642 , and the ornament H4541 of thy molten images H2091 of gold H2219 : thou shalt cast them away [H8799]   H1739 as a menstruous cloth H559 ; thou shalt say [H8799]   H3318 unto it, Get thee hence [H8798]  .
H5414 Then shall he give [H8804]   H4306 the rain H2233 of thy seed H2232 , that thou shalt sow [H8799]   H127 the ground H3899 withal; and bread H8393 of the increase H127 of the earth H1879 , and it shall be fat H8082 and plenteous H3117 : in that day H4735 shall thy cattle H7462 feed [H8799]   H7337 in large [H8737]   H3733 pastures.
H504 The oxen H5895 likewise and the young asses H5647 that ear [H8802]   H127 the ground H398 shall eat [H8799]   H2548 clean H1098 provender H2219 , which hath been winnowed [H8802]   H7371 with the shovel H4214 and with the fan.
H1364 And there shall be upon every high H2022 mountain H5375 , and upon every high [H8737]   H1389 hill H6388 , rivers H2988 and streams H4325 of waters H3117 in the day H7227 of the great H2027 slaughter H4026 , when the towers H5307 fall [H8800]  .
H216 Moreover the light H3842 of the moon H216 shall be as the light H2535 of the sun H216 , and the light H2535 of the sun H7659 shall be sevenfold H216 , as the light H7651 of seven H3117 days H3117 , in the day H3068 that the LORD H2280 bindeth up [H8800]   H7667 the breach H5971 of his people H7495 , and healeth [H8799]   H4273 the stroke H4347 of their wound.
H8034 Behold, the name H3068 of the LORD H935 cometh [H8804]   H4801 from far H1197 , burning [H8802]   H639 with his anger H4858 , and the burden H3514 thereof is heavy H8193 : his lips H4390 are full [H8804]   H2195 of indignation H3956 , and his tongue H398 as a devouring [H8802]   H784 fire:
H7307 And his breath H7857 , as an overflowing [H8802]   H5158 stream H2673 , shall reach to the midst [H8799]   H6677 of the neck H5130 , to sift [H8687]   H1471 the nations H5299 with the sieve H7723 of vanity H7448 : and there shall be a bridle H3895 in the jaws H5971 of the people H8582 , causing them to err [H8688]  .
H7892 Ye shall have a song H3915 , as in the night H6942 when a holy H2282 solemnity H6942 is kept [H8692]   H8057 ; and gladness H3824 of heart H1980 , as when one goeth [H8802]   H2485 with a pipe H935 to come [H8800]   H2022 into the mountain H3068 of the LORD H6697 , to the mighty One H3478 of Israel.
H3068 And the LORD H1935 shall cause his glorious H6963 voice H8085 to be heard [H8689]   H7200 , and shall shew [H8686]   H5183 the lighting down H2220 of his arm H2197 , with the indignation H639 of his anger H3851 , and with the flame H398 of a devouring [H8802]   H784 fire H5311 , with scattering H2230 , and tempest H68 , and hailstones H1259  .
H6963 For through the voice H3068 of the LORD H804 shall the Assyrian H2865 be beaten down [H8735]   H5221 , which smote [H8686]   H7626 with a rod.
H3605 And in every place H4145 where the grounded H4294 staff H4569 shall pass H3068 , which the LORD H5117 shall lay [H8686]   H8596 upon him, it shall be with tabrets H3658 and harps H4421 : and in battles H8573 of shaking H3898 will he fight [H8738]   with it.
H8613 For Tophet H6186 is ordained [H8803]   H865 of old H4428 ; yea, for the king H3559 it is prepared [H8717]   H6009 ; he hath made it deep [H8689]   H7337 and large [H8689]   H4071 : the pile H784 thereof is fire H7235 and much [H8687]   H6086 wood H5397 ; the breath H3068 of the LORD H5158 , like a stream H1614 of brimstone H1197 , doth kindle [H8802]   it.
ERV(i) 1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: 2 that walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! 3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion. 4 For his princes are at Zoan, and his ambassadors are come to Hanes. 5 They shall all be ashamed of a people that cannot profit them, that are not an help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach. 6 The burden of the beasts of the South. Through the land of trouble and anguish, from whence come the lioness and the lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they carry their riches upon the shoulders of young asses, and their treasures upon the bunches of camels, to a people that shall not profit [them]. 7 For Egypt helpeth in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I called her Rahab that sitteth still. 8 Now go, write it before them on a tablet, and inscribe it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever. 9 For it is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD: 10 which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: 11 get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us. 12 Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon; 13 therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant. 14 And he shall break it as a potter’s vessel is broken, breaking it in pieces without sparing; so that there shall not be found among the pieces thereof a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the cistern. 15 For thus said the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not. 16 but ye said, No, for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift. 17 One thousand [shall flee] at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill. 18 And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment; blessed are all they that wait for him. 19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more; he will surely be gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear, he will answer thee. 20 And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be hidden any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers: 21 and thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it; when ye turn to the right hand and when e turn to the left. 22 And ye shall defile the overlaying of thy graven images of silver, and the plating of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as an unclean thing; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence. 23 And he shall give the rain of thy seed, that thou shalt sow the ground withal; and bread of the increase of the ground, and it shall be fat and plenteous: in that day shall thy cattle feed in large pastures. 24 the oxen likewise and the young asses that till the ground shall eat savoury provender, which hath been winnowed with the shovel and with the fan. 25 And there shall be upon every lofty mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers [and] streams of waters, in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall. 26 Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the hurt of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound. 27 Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his anger, and in thick rising smoke: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue is as a devouring fire: 28 and his breath is as an overflowing stream, that reacheth even unto the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity: and a bridle that causeth to err [shall be] in the jaws of the peoples. 29 Ye shall have a song as in the night when a holy feast is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the Rock of Israel. 30 And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of [his] anger, and the flame of a devouring fire, with a blast, and tempest, and hailstones. 31 For through the voice of the LORD shall the Assyrian be broken in pieces, which smote with a rod. 32 And every stroke of the appointed staff, which the LORD shall lay upon him, shall be with tabrets and harps: and in battles of shaking will he fight with them. 33 For a Topheth is prepared of old; yea, for the king it is made ready; he hath made it deep and large: the pile thereof is fire and much wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of brimstone, doth kindle it.
