Isaiah 30 הוי Woe בנים children, סוררים to the rebellious נאם saith יהוה the LORD, לעשׂות that take עצה counsel, ולא but not מני of ולנסך me; and that cover מסכה with a covering, ולא but not רוחי of my spirit, למען that ספות they may add חטאת sin על to חטאת׃ sin:

1 H1945 הוי Woe H1121 בנים children, H5637 סוררים to the rebellious H5002 נאם saith H3068 יהוה the LORD, H6213 לעשׂות that take H6098 עצה counsel, H3808 ולא but not H4480 מני of H5258 ולנסך me; and that cover H4541 מסכה with a covering, H3808 ולא but not H7307 רוחי of my spirit, H4616 למען that H5595 ספות they may add H2403 חטאת sin H5921 על to H2403 חטאת׃ sin:

2 H1980 ההלכים That walk H3381 לרדת to go down H4714 מצרים into Egypt, H6310 ופי at my mouth; H3808 לא and have not H7592 שׁאלו asked H5810 לעוז to strengthen H4581 במעוז themselves in the strength H6547 פרעה of Pharaoh, H2620 ולחסות and to trust H6738 בצל in the shadow H4714 מצרים׃ of Egypt!

3 H1961 והיה be H4581 לכם מעוז Therefore shall the strength H6547 פרעה of Pharaoh H1322 לבשׁת your shame, H2622 והחסות and the trust H6738 בצל in the shadow H4714 מצרים of Egypt H3639 לכלמה׃ confusion.

4 H3588 כי For H1961 היו were H6814 בצען at Zoan, H8269 שׂריו his princes H4397 ומלאכיו and his ambassadors H2609 חנס to Hanes. H5060 יגיעו׃ came

5 H3605 כל They were all H887 הבאישׁ H5921 על of H5971 עם a people H3808 לא could not H3276 יועילו profit H3808 למו לא them, nor H5828 לעזר be a help H3808 ולא nor H3276 להועיל profit, H3588 כי but H1322 לבשׁת a shame, H1571 וגם and also H2781 לחרפה׃ a reproach.

6 H4853 משׂא The burden H929 בהמות of the beasts H5045 נגב of the south: H776 בארץ into the land H6869 צרה of trouble H6695 וצוקה and anguish, H3833 לביא whence the young H3918 ולישׁ and old lion, H1992 מהם H660 אפעה the viper H8314 ושׂרף and fiery flying serpent, H5774 מעופף and fiery flying serpent, H5375 ישׂאו they will carry H5921 על upon H3802 כתף the shoulders H5895 עירים of young asses, H2428 חילהם their riches H5921 ועל upon H1707 דבשׁת the bunches H1581 גמלים of camels, H214 אוצרתם and their treasures H5921 על to H5971 עם a people H3808 לא shall not H3276 יועילו׃ profit

7 H4714 ומצרים For the Egyptians H1892 הבל in vain, H7385 וריק and to no purpose: H5826 יעזרו shall help H3651 לכן therefore H7121 קראתי have I cried H2063 לזאת concerning this, H7293 רהב Their strength H1992 הם H7674 שׁבת׃ to sit still.

8 H6258 עתה Now H935 בוא go, H3789 כתבה write H5921 על them in H3871 לוח a table, H854 אתם it before H5921 ועל it in H5612 ספר a book, H2710 חקה and note H1961 ותהי that it may be H3117 ליום for the time H314 אחרון to come H5707 לעד H5704 עד and ever: H5769 עולם׃ and ever:

9 H3588 כי That H5971 עם people, H4805 מרי a rebellious H1931 הוא this H1121 בנים children, H3586 כחשׁים lying H1121 בנים children H3808 לא not H14 אבו will H8085 שׁמוע hear H8451 תורת the law H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD:

10 H834 אשׁר Which H559 אמרו say H7200 לראים to the seers, H3808 לא not; H7200 תראו See H2374 ולחזים and to the prophets, H3808 לא not H2372 תחזו Prophesy H5229 לנו נכחות unto us right things, H1696 דברו speak H2513 לנו חלקות unto us smooth things, H4123 חזו deceits: H2372 מהתלות׃ prophesy

11 H5493 סורו Get H4480 מני you out of H1870 דרך the way, H5186 הטו turn aside H4480 מני out of H734 ארח the path, H7673 השׁביתו to cease H6440 מפנינו from before H853 את H6918 קדושׁ cause the Holy One H3478 ישׂראל׃ of Israel

12 H3651 לכן Wherefore H3541 כה thus H559 אמר saith H6918 קדושׁ the Holy One H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H3282 יען Because H3988 מאסכם ye despise H1697 בדבר word, H2088 הזה this H982 ותבטחו and trust H6233 בעשׁק in oppression H3868 ונלוז and perverseness, H8172 ותשׁענו and stay H5921 עליו׃ thereon:

13 H3651 לכן Therefore H1961 יהיה shall be H5771 לכם העון iniquity H2088 הזה this H6556 כפרץ to you as a breach H5307 נפל ready to fall, H1158 נבעה swelling out H2346 בחומה wall, H7682 נשׂגבה in a high H834 אשׁר whose H6597 פתאם suddenly H6621 לפתע at an instant. H935 יבוא cometh H7667 שׁברה׃ breaking

14 H7665 ושׁברה And he shall break H7667 כשׁבר it as the breaking H5035 נבל vessel H3335 יוצרים of the potter's H3807 כתות that is broken in pieces; H3808 לא he shall not H2550 יחמל spare: H3808 ולא so that there shall not H4672 ימצא be found H4386 במכתתו in the bursting H2789 חרשׂ of it a shard H2846 לחתות to take H784 אשׁ fire H3344 מיקוד from the hearth, H2834 ולחשׂף or to take H4325 מים water H1360 מגבא׃ out of the pit.

15 H3588 כי For H3541 כה thus H559 אמר saith H136 אדני the Lord H3069 יהוה GOD, H6918 קדושׁ the Holy One H3478 ישׂראל of Israel; H7729 בשׁובה In returning H5183 ונחת and rest H3467 תושׁעון shall ye be saved; H8252 בהשׁקט in quietness H985 ובבטחה and in confidence H1961 תהיה shall be H1369 גבורתכם your strength: H3808 ולא not. H14 אביתם׃ and ye would

16 H559 ותאמרו But ye said, H3808 לא No; H3588 כי for H5921 על upon H5483 סוס horses; H5127 ננוס we will flee H5921 על therefore H3651 כן therefore H5127 תנוסון shall ye flee: H5921 ועל upon H7031 קל the swift; H7392 נרכב and, We will ride H5921 על therefore H3651 כן therefore H7043 יקלו you be swift. 17 H505 אלף thousand H259 אחד One H6440 מפני at H1606 גערת the rebuke H259 אחד of one; H6440 מפני at H1606 גערת the rebuke H2568 חמשׁה of five H5127 תנסו shall ye flee: H5704 עד till H518 אם till H3498 נותרתם ye be left H8650 כתרן as a beacon H5921 על upon H7218 ראשׁ the top H2022 ההר of a mountain, H5251 וכנס and as an ensign H5921 על on H1389 הגבעה׃ a hill.

18 H3651 ולכן And therefore H2442 יחכה wait, H3068 יהוה will the LORD H2603 לחננכם that he may be gracious H3651 ולכן unto you, and therefore H7311 ירום will he be exalted, H7355 לרחמכם that he may have mercy H3588 כי upon you: for H430 אלהי a God H4941 משׁפט of judgment: H3068 יהוה the LORD H835 אשׁרי blessed H3605 כל all H2442 חוכי׃ they that wait

19 H3588 כי For H5971 עם the people H6726 בציון in Zion H3427 ישׁב shall dwell H3389 בירושׁלם at Jerusalem: H1058 בכו thou shalt weep no more: H3808 לא H1058 תבכה H2603 חנון he will be very gracious H2603 יחנך he will be very gracious H6963 לקול unto thee at the voice H2201 זעקך H8085 כשׁמעתו when he shall hear H6030 ענך׃ it, he will answer

20 H5414 ונתן give H136 לכם אדני And the Lord H3899 לחם you the bread H6862 צר of adversity, H4325 ומים and the water H3906 לחץ of affliction, H3808 ולא yet shall not H3670 יכנף be removed into a corner H5750 עוד any more, H3384 מוריך thy teachers H1961 והיו shall H5869 עיניך but thine eyes H7200 ראות see H853 את H3384 מוריך׃ thy teachers:

21 H241 ואזניך And thine ears H8085 תשׁמענה shall hear H1697 דבר a word H310 מאחריך behind H559 לאמר thee, saying, H2088 זה This H1870 הדרך the way, H1980 לכו walk H3588 בו כי ye in it, when H541 תאמינו ye turn to the right hand, H3588 וכי and when H8041 תשׂמאילו׃ ye turn to the left.

22 H2930 וטמאתם Ye shall defile H853 את H6826 צפוי also the covering H6456 פסילי of thy graven images H3701 כספך of silver, H853 ואת H642 אפדת and the ornament H4541 מסכת of thy molten images H2091 זהבך of gold: H2219 תזרם thou shalt cast them away H3644 כמו as H1739 דוה a menstruous cloth; H3318 צא unto it, Get thee hence. H559 תאמר׃ thou shalt say

23 H5414 ונתן Then shall he give H4306 מטר the rain H2233 זרעך of thy seed, H834 אשׁר that H2232 תזרע thou shalt sow H853 את H127 האדמה the ground H3899 ולחם withal; and bread H8393 תבואת of the increase H127 האדמה of the earth, H1961 והיה and it shall be H1879 דשׁן fat H8082 ושׁמן and plenteous: H7462 ירעה feed H4735 מקניך shall thy cattle H3117 ביום day H1931 ההוא in that H3733 כר pastures. H7337 נרחב׃ in large

24 H504 והאלפים The oxen H5895 והעירים likewise and the young asses H5647 עבדי that ear H127 האדמה the ground H1098 בליל provender, H2548 חמיץ clean H398 יאכלו shall eat H834 אשׁר which H2219 זרה hath been winnowed H7371 ברחת with the shovel H4214 ובמזרה׃ and with the fan.

25 H1961 והיה And there shall be H5921 על upon H3605 כל every H2022 הר mountain, H1364 גבה high H5921 ועל and upon H3605 כל every H1389 גבעה hill, H5375 נשׂאה high H6388 פלגים rivers H2988 יבלי streams H4325 מים of waters H3117 ביום in the day H2027 הרג slaughter, H7227 רב of the great H5307 בנפל fall. H4026 מגדלים׃ when the towers

26 H1961 והיה shall be H216 אור Moreover the light H3842 הלבנה of the moon H216 כאור as the light H2535 החמה of the sun, H216 ואור and the light H2535 החמה of the sun H1961 יהיה shall be H7659 שׁבעתים sevenfold, H216 כאור as the light H7651 שׁבעת of seven H3117 הימים days, H3117 ביום in the day H2280 חבשׁ bindeth up H3068 יהוה that the LORD H853 את H7667 שׁבר the breach H5971 עמו of his people, H4273 ומחץ the stroke H4347 מכתו of their wound. H7495 ירפא׃ and healeth

27 H2009 הנה Behold, H8034 שׁם the name H3068 יהוה of the LORD H935 בא cometh H4801 ממרחק from far, H1197 בער burning H639 אפו his anger, H3514 וכבד heavy: H4858 משׂאה and the burden H8193 שׂפתיו his lips H4390 מלאו are full H2195 זעם of indignation, H3956 ולשׁונו and his tongue H784 כאשׁ fire: H398 אכלת׃ as a devouring

28 H7307 ורוחו And his breath, H5158 כנחל stream, H7857 שׁוטף as an overflowing H5704 עד of H6677 צואר the neck, H2673 יחצה shall reach to the midst H5130 להנפה to sift H1471 גוים the nations H5299 בנפת with the sieve H7723 שׁוא of vanity: H7448 ורסן and a bridle H8582 מתעה causing to err. H5921 על in H3895 לחיי the jaws H5971 עמים׃ of the people,

29 H7892 השׁיר a song, H1961 יהיה Ye shall have H3915 לכם כליל as in the night H6942 התקדשׁ a holy solemnity is kept; H2282 חג a holy solemnity is kept; H8057 ושׂמחת and gladness H3824 לבב of heart, H1980 כהולך as when one goeth H2485 בחליל with a pipe H935 לבוא to come H2022 בהר into the mountain H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H413 אל to H6697 צור the mighty One H3478 ישׂראל׃ of Israel.

30 H8085 והשׁמיע to be heard, H3068 יהוה And the LORD H853 את H1935 הוד shall cause his glorious H6963 קולו voice H5183 ונחת the lighting down H2220 זרועו of his arm, H7200 יראה and shall show H2197 בזעף with the indignation H639 אף of anger, H3851 ולהב and the flame H784 אשׁ fire, H398 אוכלה of a devouring H5311 נפץ scattering, H2230 וזרם and tempest, H68 ואבן and hailstones. H1259 ברד׃ and hailstones.

31 H3588 כי For H6963 מקול through the voice H3068 יהוה of the LORD H2865 יחת be beaten down, H804 אשׁור shall the Assyrian H7626 בשׁבט with a rod. H5221 יכה׃ smote

32 H1961 והיה him, shall be H3605 כל And every place H4569 מעבר shall pass, H4294 מטה staff H4145 מוסדה where the grounded H834 אשׁר which H5117 יניח shall lay H3068 יהוה the LORD H5921 עליו upon H8596 בתפים with tabrets H3658 ובכנרות and harps: H4421 ובמלחמות and in battles H8573 תנופה of shaking H3898 נלחם׃ will he fight
