But he sayde: I wyll not geue the my vynyarde. 7 Then sayde Iesabel his wyfe vnto him: What kingdome were in Israel, yf thou diddest it? Stonde vp, and eate bred, I wyl get the the vynyarde of Naboth the Iesraelite. 8 And she wrote a letter vnder Achabs name, and sealed it with his signet, and sent it vnto ye Elders and rulers in his cite, which dwelt aboute Naboth, 9 and wrote thus in ye letter: Proclame a fast, and set Naboth aboue in the people, 10 and set two men of Belial before him, to testifye and saye: Thou hast blasphemed God and the kynge. And brynge him forth, and stone him to death. 11 And the Elders and rulers of his cyte, which dwelt in his cite, dyd as Iesabel had commaunded them, acordynge as she had wrytten in the letter that she sent vnto them 12 and they proclamed a fast, and caused Naboth to syt aboue amonge the people. 13 Then came the two men of Belial, and stode before him, and testyfyed agaynst Naboth in ye presence of the people, and sayde: Naboth hath blasphemed God and the kynge. Then broughte they him out of the cite, and stoned him to death. 14 And they sent Iesabel worde, sayenge: Naboth is stoned & put to death. 15 Wha Iesabel herde that Naboth was stoned and deed, she sayde vnto Achab: Vp, and take possession of the vynyarde of Naboth the Iesraelite, which he denyed to geue the for money: for Naboth lyueth nomore but is deed.
MSTC(i) 5 And then Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, "Why art thou so froward, that thou eatest no meat?" 6 And he said unto her, "I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, 'Give me thy vineyard for silver, or else if thou wilt, I will give thee another vineyard for it.' And he said, 'I will not give thee my vineyard.'" 7 Then said Jezebel his wife unto him, "What a goodly kingdom were thou able to make in Israel? Up, and eat meat and set thine heart at rest, for I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite." 8 And she wrote a letter in Ahab's name and sealed it with his seal, and sent it unto the elders and chief men of his city that dwelt where Naboth dwelt. 9 And she wrote in the letter, saying, "Proclaim fasting and set Naboth on high among the people, 10 and set two unthrifties before him, and let them testify against him, saying, 'Thou didst curse both God and the king.' And upon that carry him out and stone him to death." 11 And the elders and nobles of his city, which dwelt in his city, did as Jezebel had sent unto them, and as it was written in the letter which she had sent unto them. 12 They proclaimed fasting, and set Naboth on high among the people, 13 and there came in two unthrifty persons and sat before him. And the two unthrifty persons witnessed against Naboth before the people, saying, "Naboth did curse God and the king." And upon that they carried him out of the city and stoned him with stones to death. 14 And then they sent to Jezebel saying, "Naboth is stoned to death." 15 And when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned to death, she said to Ahab, "Up, and take possession of the vineyard of Naboth, the Jezreelite, which he denied to give thee for silver, for Naboth is not alive, but dead."
Matthew(i) 5 And then Iezabel his wyfe came to him, and said vnto him: why art thou so frowarde, that thou eatest no meate. 6 And he sayde vnto her: I spake vnto Naboth the Iezrahelite, and sayde vnto him: geue me thy vineyarde for syluer, or else yf thou wilt, I will geue the another vyneyarde for it. DouayRheims(i) 5 And Jezabel, his wife, went in to him, and said to him: What is the matter that thy soul is so grieved? and why eatest thou no bread? 6 And he answered her: I spoke to Naboth, the Jezrahelite, and said to him: Give me thy vineyard, and take money for it: or if it please thee, I will give thee a better vineyard for it. And he said: I will not give thee my vineyard. 7 Then Jezabel, his wife, said to him. Thou art of great authority indeed, and governest well the kingdom of Israel. Arise, and eat bread, and be of good cheer; I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth, the Jezrahelite. 8 So she wrote letters in Achab's name, and sealed them with his ring, and sent them to the ancients, and the chief men that were in his city, and that dwelt with Naboth. 9 And this was the tenor of the letters: Proclaim a fast, and make Naboth sit among the chief of the people; 10 And suborn two men, sons of Belial, against him. and let them bear false witness; that he hath blasphemed God and the king: and then carry him out, and stone him, and so let him die. 11 And the men of his city, the ancients and nobles, that dwelt with him in the city, did as Jezabel had commanded them, and as it was written in the letters which she had sent to them; 12 They proclaimed a fast, and made Naboth sit among the chief of the people. 13 And bringing two men, sons of the devil, they made them sit against him: and they, like men of the devil, bore witness against him before the people: saying: Naboth hath blasphemed God and the king. Wherefore they brought him forth without the city, and stoned him to death. 14 And they sent to Jezabel, saying: Naboth is stoned, and is dead. 15 And it came to pass, when Jezabel heard that Naboth was stoned, and dead, that she said to Achab: Arise, and take possession of the vineyard of Naboth, the Jezrahelite, who would not agree with thee, and give it thee for money: for Naboth is not alive, but dead.

YLT(i) 5 And Jezebel his wife cometh in unto him, and speaketh unto him, `What is this? —thy spirit sulky, and thou art not eating bread!' 6 And he saith unto her, `Because I speak unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and say to him, Give to me thy vineyard for money, or if thou desire, I give to thee a vineyard in its stead; and he saith, I do not give to thee my vineyard.' 7 And Jezebel his wife saith unto him, `Thou now dost execute rule over Israel! rise, eat bread, and let thy heart be glad, —I do give to thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.' 8 And she writeth letters in the name of Ahab, and sealeth with his seal, and sendeth the letters unto the elders, and unto the freemen, who are in his city, those dwelling with Naboth, 9 and she writeth in the letters, saying, `Proclaim a fast, and cause Naboth to sit at the head of the people, 10 and cause two men—sons of worthlessness—to sit over-against him, and they testify of him, saying, Thou hast blessed God and Melech; and they have brought him out, and stoned him, and he dieth.' 11 And the men of his city, the elders and the freemen who are dwelling in his city, do as Jezebel hath sent unto them, as written in the letters that she sent unto them, 12 they have proclaimed a fast, and caused Naboth to sit at the head of the people, 13 and two men—sons of worthlessness—come in, and sit over-against him, and the men of worthlessness testify of him, even Naboth, before the people, saying, `Naboth blessed God and Melech;' and they take him out to the outside of the city, and stone him with stones, and he dieth; 14 and they send unto Jezebel, saying, `Naboth was stoned, and is dead.' 15 And it cometh to pass, at Jezebel's hearing that Naboth hath been stoned, and is dead, that Jezebel saith unto Ahab, `Rise, possess the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, that he refused to give to thee for money, for Naboth is not alive but dead.'
JuliaSmith(i) 5 And Jezebel his wife will come to him, and she will speak to him, What this thy spirit rebellious, and thou not eating bread? 6 And he will speak to her, Because I shall speak to Naboth the Jezreelite and say to him, Thou shalt give to me thy vineyard for silver; or if thou art willing, I will give to thee a vineyard in its stead. And he will say, I will not give to thee my vineyard. 7 And Jezebel his wife will say to him, Thou now wilt do the kingdom over Israel: arise, eat bread, and do thy heart good: I will give to thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite. 8 And she will write letters in the name of Ahab, and seal with his seal; and she will send the letters to the old men, and to the nobles who were in his city dwelling with Naboth. 9 And she will write in the letters, Saying, Call a fast; set Naboth in the head of the people: 10 And set two men, sons of Belial, over against him, and they shall bear witness, saying, Thou didst praise God and the king. And they shall bring him forth and stone him, and he shall die. 11 And the men of his city, the old men and the nobles, who were dwelling in his city, will do as Jezebel sent to them, according to what was written in the letters which she sent to them. 12 They called a fast; they will set Naboth upon the head of the people. 13 And two men will come, sons of Belial, and they will set before him: and the men of Belial will testify against Naboth before the people, saying, Naboth praised Jehovah and the king. And they will bring him without the city, and stone him with stones, and he will die. 14 And they will send to Jezebel, saying, Naboth was stoned, and he will die. 15 And it will be when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned and he will die, and Jezebel will say to Ahab, Arise, inherit the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give to thee for silver: for Naboth is not living, but dead.

Rotherham(i) 5 Then came unto him Jezebel his wife,––and said unto him––Why is it, that thy spirit is sullen, that thou art, not eating food? 6 And he said unto her––Because I spake unto Naboth, the Jezreelite, and said unto him––Come! give me thy vineyard for silver, or, if thou wouldst prefer, I will give thee a vineyard, in its stead; and he said––I will not give thee my vineyard. 7 Then Jezebel his wife said unto him: Art, thou, still, going to carry on the kingdom over Israel? Get up, take food, and let your heart be glad; I will give you the vine-garden of Naboth the Jezreelite. 8 So she sent a letter in Ahab's name, stamped with his stamp, to the responsible men and the chiefs who were in authority with Naboth. 9 And in the letter she said, Let a time of public sorrow be fixed, and put Naboth at the head of the people; 10 And get two good-for-nothing persons to come before him and give witness that he has been cursing God and the king. Then take him out and have him stoned to death. 11 So the responsible men and the chiefs who were in authority in his town, did as Jezebel had said in the letter she sent them. 12 They gave orders for a day of public sorrow, and put Naboth at the head of the people. 13 And the two good-for-nothing persons came in and took their seats before him and gave witness against Naboth, in front of the people, saying, Naboth has been cursing God and the king. And the men departed, and carried back the answer to him. 10 And the son of Ader sent to him, saying, So do God to me, and more also, if the dust of Samaria shall suffice for foxes to all the people, even my infantry. 11 And the king of Israel answered and said, Let it be sufficient; let not the humpbacked boast as he that is upright. 12 And it came to pass when he returned him this answer, he and all the kings with him were drinking in tents: and he said to his servants, Form a trench. And they made a trench against the city. 13 And, behold, a prophet came to Achaab king of Israel, and said, Thus says the Lord, Hast you seen this great multitude? behold, I give it this day into your hands; and you shall know that I [am] the Lord. 14 And Achaab said, Whereby? And he said, Thus says the Lord, by the young men of the heads of the districts. And Achaab said, Who shall begin the battle? and he said, You. 15 And Achaab numbered the young men the heads of the districts, and they were two hundred and thirty: and afterwards he numbered the people, [even] every man fit for war, seven thousand.
NSB(i) 5 Jezebel his wife came to him and asked: »Why is your spirit so bitter that you have no desire for food?« 6 He replied: »I was talking to Naboth the Jezreelite. I said to him: ‘Let me have your garden for money, or, if it pleases you, I will give you another garden for it.’ ‘But he said: »I will not give you my garden.«’« 7 Then his wife Jezebel said: »Are you now the ruler of Israel? Get up, eat and be happy. I will give you the garden of Naboth the Jezreelite.« 8 So she sent a letter in Ahab's name, stamped with his stamp, to the elders and nobles who were in authority with Naboth. 9 The letter she wrote is as follows: »Let a time of public sorrow be fixed, and put Naboth at the head of the people. 10 »Get two good-for-nothing persons to come before him and give witness that he has been cursing God and the king. Then take him out and have him stoned to death.« 11 So the elders and nobles in authority in his town did as Jezebel said in the letter she sent them. 12 They gave orders for a day of public sorrow and put Naboth at the head of the people. 13 The two good-for-nothing persons came in and took their seats before him and gave witness against Naboth, in front of the people. They said: »Naboth has been cursing God and the king.« Then they took him outside the town and had him stoned to death. 14 Then they sent word to Jezebel, saying: »Naboth has been stoned and is dead.« 15 Jezebel, hearing that Naboth had been stoned and was dead, said to Ahab: »Get up and take as your heritage the garden of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he would not give you for money. Naboth is dead.«
ISV(i) 5 But his wife Jezebel went to him and asked him, “How is it that you’re so sullen and refusing to eat?”
6 “I asked Naboth the Jezreelite, ‘Sell me your vineyard for cash, or if you want, I’ll give you a better one in its place.’ But he refused. He told me, ‘I won’t give you my vineyard!’”
7 “Aren’t you the reigning king of Israel,” his wife Jezebel replied. “Get up, have a meal, and get ready to be happy. I’ll go get you the vineyard that Naboth the Jezreelite owns.” 8 So she wrote some memos in Ahab’s name, set his personal seal to them, and sent them to the elders and nobles who lived with Naboth in his city. 9 In the memos, she wrote the following directives: “Proclaim a public fast and seat Naboth in the front row. 10 Seat two wicked men in front of him, and make them testify against him. Tell them to claim ‘You cursed God and the king.’ Then take him out and stone him to death.”
11 So the leading men of the city, along with the elders and nobles who lived there, did precisely what Jezebel had directed them to do. They followed the instructions that she had set forth in the memos: 12 They proclaimed a public fast and seated Naboth in the front row. 13 Two wicked men came in, sat down in front of them, and testified against Naboth in public, “Naboth cursed God and the king!” So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death.
14 Afterwards, they sent a message to Jezebel that said, “Naboth has been stoned. He’s dead.”
15 When Jezebel heard that Naboth had been stoned to death, she told Ahab, “Get up and confiscate Naboth’s vineyard that he refused to sell you for cash. Naboth the Jezreelite isn’t alive anymore. He’s dead!”
LEB(i) 5 Then Jezebel his wife came to him, and she said to him, "What is this, that your spirit is sullen and you are not eating food?" 6 Then he said to her, "When I spoke to Naboth the Jezreelite and asked him, 'Give me your vineyard for money, or it you prefer, I will give you a vineyard in place of it,' he said, 'I will not give you my vineyard.'" 7 Jezebel his wife said to him, "Now, you rule* over Israel. Get up, eat food, and let your heart be cheerful.* I myself will give you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite." 8 So she wrote letters in the name of Ahab and sealed them with his seal. She sent the letters to the elders and the nobles who were dwelling with Naboth in his city. 9 She had written in the letters, saying, "Call a fast and seat Naboth at the head of the people. 10 Seat two men, scoundrels,* opposite him. Let them witness against him saying, 'You cursed God and the king.' Then you shall bring him out and stone him so that he dies." 11 The men of his city and the elders and nobles who were living in his city did according to what Jezebel had sent to them, as was written in the letters which she had sent to them. 12 They called a fast, and they seated Naboth at the head of the people. 13 Then the two men, scoundrels,* came, sat opposite him, and the scoundrels* witnessed against Naboth before the people, saying, "Naboth cursed God and the king," so they brought him outside of the city and stoned him with stones, and he died. 14 They sent to Jezebel saying, "Naboth has been stoned, and he is dead." 15 It happened at the moment Jezebel heard that Naboth had been stoned and died, Jezebel said to Ahab, "Get up, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite which he had refused to give to you for money, for Naboth is not alive, but dead."
BSB(i) 5 Soon his wife Jezebel came in and asked, “Why are you so sullen that you refuse to eat?” 6 Ahab answered, “Because I spoke to Naboth the Jezreelite and told him, ‘Give me your vineyard for silver, or if you wish, I will give you another vineyard in its place.’ And he replied, ‘I will not give you my vineyard!’” 7 But his wife Jezebel said to him, “Do you not reign over Israel? Get up, eat some food, and be cheerful, for I will get you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.” 8 Then Jezebel wrote letters in Ahab’s name, sealed them with his seal, and sent them to the elders and nobles who lived with Naboth in his city. 9 In the letters she wrote: “Proclaim a fast and give Naboth a seat of honor among the people. 10 But seat two scoundrels opposite him and have them testify, ‘You have cursed both God and the king!’ Then take him out and stone him to death.” 11 So the elders and nobles who lived in Naboth’s city did as Jezebel had instructed in the letters she had written to them. 12 They proclaimed a fast and gave Naboth a seat of honor among the people. 13 And the two scoundrels came in and sat opposite Naboth, and these men testified against him before the people, saying, “Naboth has cursed both God and the king!” So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death. 14 Then they sent word to Jezebel: “Naboth has been stoned to death.” 15 When Jezebel heard that Naboth had been stoned to death, she said to Ahab, “Get up and take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, who refused to give it to you for silver. For Naboth is no longer alive, but dead.”

MLV(i) 5 But Jezebel his wife came to him and said to him, Why is your spirit so sad that you eat no bread? 6 And he said to her, Because I spoke to Naboth the Jezreelite and said to him, Give me your vineyard for money, or else, if it please you, I will give you another vineyard for it. And he answered, I will not give you my vineyard.
7 And Jezebel his wife said to him, Do you now govern the kingdom of Israel? Arise and eat bread and let your heart be merry. I will give you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.
8 So she wrote letters in Ahab's name and sealed them with his seal and sent the letters to the elders and to the nobles who were in his city, and who dwelt with Naboth. 9 And she wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast and set Naboth on high among the people. 10 And set two men, worthless fellows, before him and let them bear witness against him, saying, You cursed God and the king. And then carry him out and stone him to death.
11 And the men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who dwelt in his city, did as Jezebel had sent to them, just-as it was written in the letters which she had sent to them. 12 They proclaimed a fast and set Naboth on high among the people.
13 And the two men, the worthless fellows, came in and sat before him. And the worthless fellows bore witness against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth cursed God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city and stoned him to death with stones. 14 Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, Naboth is stoned and is dead.
15 And it happened, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give you for money, for Naboth is not alive, but dead.

Rise up, and eat bread, and be yourself! and I will give to you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite. 8 So she wrote some memos in Ahab's name, set his personal seal to them, and sent them to the elders and nobles who lived with Naboth in his city. 9 And it was written in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth in a chief place among the people. 10 Set two men, base fellows, before him, and let them testify against him, saying, 'You cursed God and the king.'

Croatian(i) 5 Dođe mu njegova žena Izebela i reče: "Zašto si zlovoljan i ne mariš za hranu?" 6 On joj odgovori: "Govorio sam Nabotu Jizreelcu i rekao mu: 'Ustupi mi svoj vinograd za novac, ili, ako ti je draže, dat ću ti drugi vinograd za taj.' Ali mi je on rekao: 'Ne dam ti svoga vinograda.'" 7 Tada mu žena Izebela reče: "Jesi li ti onaj koji kraljuje nad Izraelom! Ustani i jedi i budi dobre volje. Ja ću ti pribaviti vinograd Nabota Jizreelca." 8 I napisa ona pisma u ime Ahabovo i zapečati ih kraljevskim pečatom. Pisma je poslala starješinama i glavarima Nabotovim sugrađanima. I tako izvedoše Nabota izvan grada, zasuše ga kamenjem i on pogibe.
On pak odpověděl: Nedám tobě své vinice. 7 I řekla mu Jezábel žena jeho: Takliž bys ty nyní spravoval království Izraelské? Vstaň, pojez chleba a buď dobré mysli, já tobě dám vinici Nábota Jezreelského. 8 Zatím napsala list jménem Achabovým, kterýž zapečetila jeho pečetí, a poslala ten list k starším a předním města jeho, spoluobyvatelům Nábotovým. 9 Napsala pak v tom listu takto: Vyhlaste půst, a posaďte Nábota mezi předními z lidu, 10 A postavte dva muže nešlechetné proti němu, kteříž by svědčili na něj, řkouce: Zlořečil jsi Bohu a králi. Potom vyveďte ho a ukamenujte jej, ať umře. 13 Potom přišli ti dva muži nešlechetní, a posadivše se naproti němu, svědčili proti němu muži ti nešlechetní, proti Nábotovi před lidem, řkouce: Zlořečil Nábot Bohu a králi. I vyvedli ho za město a kamenovali jej, až umřel. 14 A poslali k Jezábel, řkouce: Ukamenovánť jest Nábot a umřel.

9 A napisała on list w ten sposób: Zapowiedźcie post, a posadźcie Nabota między przedniejszymi z ludu; 10 I postawcie dwóch mężów przewrotnych przeciw niemu, którzyby przeciwko niemu świadczyli, mówiąc: Złożeczyłeś Bogu i królowi; potem wywiedźcie go, a ukamionujcie go, aby umarł. 13 Potem przyszli dwaj mężowie przewrotni, i usiedli przeciw niemu, a świadczyli przeciwko niemu oni mężowie przewrotni, to jest przeciw Nabotowi przed ludem, mówiąc: Złożeczył Nabot Bogu i królowi. I wywiedli go za miasto, i ukamionowali go, i umarł.
