Jeremiah 43 And it came to pass that, when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking unto all the people all the words of Jehovah their God, wherewith Jehovah their God had sent him to them, even all these words,

2 H559 then spake H5838 Azariah H1121 the son H1955 of Hoshaiah, H3110 and Johanan H1121 the son H7143 of Kareah, H2086 and all the proud H582 men, H559 saying H3414 unto Jeremiah, H1696 Thou speakest H8267 falsely: H3068 Jehovah H430 our God H7971 hath not sent H559 thee to say, H935 Ye shall not go H4714 into Egypt H1481 to sojourn there;

3 H1263 but Baruch H1121 the son H5374 of Neriah H5496 setteth thee on H4616 against us, to H5414 deliver H3027 us into the hand H3778 of the Chaldeans, H4191 that they may put us to death, H1540 and carry us away captive H894 to Babylon.

4 H3110 So Johanan H1121 the son H7143 of Kareah, H8269 and all the captains H2428 of the forces, H5971 and all the people, H8085 obeyed H6963 not the voice H3068 of Jehovah, H3427 to dwell H776 in the land H3063 of Judah.

5 H3110 But Johanan H1121 the son H7143 of Kareah, H8269 and all the captains H2428 of the forces, H3947 took H7611 all the remnant H3063 of Judah, H7725 that were returned H1471 from all the nations H5080 whither they had been driven, H1481 to sojourn H776 in the land H3063 of Judah;

6 H1397 the men, H802 and the women, H2945 and the children, H4428 and the king's H1323 daughters, H5315 and every person H5018 that Nebuzaradan H7227 the captain H2876 of the guard H3240 had left H1436 with Gedaliah H1121 the son H296 of Ahikam, H1121 the son H8227 of Shaphan; H3414 and Jeremiah H5030 the prophet, H1263 and Baruch H1121 the son H5374 of Neriah;

7 H935 and they came H776 into the land H4714 of Egypt; H8085 for they obeyed H6963 not the voice H3068 of Jehovah: H935 and they came H8471 unto Tahpanhes.

8 H1697 Then came the word H3068 of Jehovah H3414 unto Jeremiah H8471 in Tahpanhes, H559 saying,

9 H3947 Take H1419 great H68 stones H3027 in thy hand, H2934 and hide H4423 them in mortar H4404 in the brickwork, H6607 which is at the entry H6547 of Pharaoh's H1004 house H8471 in Tahpanhes, H5869 in the sight H582 of the men H3064 of Judah;

10 H559 and say H559 unto them, Thus saith H3068 Jehovah H6635 of hosts, H430 the God H3478 of Israel: H7971 Behold, I will send H3947 and take H5019 Nebuchadrezzar H4428 the king H894 of Babylon, H5650 my servant, H7760 and will set H3678 his throne H4605 upon H68 these stones H2934 that I have hid; H5186 and he shall spread H8237 his royal pavilion over them.

11 H935 And he shall come, H5221 and shall smite H776 the land H4714 of Egypt; H4194 such as are for death H4194 shall be given to death, H7628 and such as are for captivity H7628 to captivity, H2719 and such as are for the sword H2719 to the sword.

12 H3341 And I will kindle H784 a fire H1004 in the houses H430 of the gods H4714 of Egypt; H8313 and he shall burn H7617 them, and carry them away captive: H5844 and he shall array H776 himself with the land H4714 of Egypt, H7462 as a shepherd H5844 putteth on H899 his garment; H3318 and he shall go forth H7965 from thence in peace.

13 H7665 He shall also break H4676 the pillars H1053 of Beth-shemesh, H776 that is in the land H4714 of Egypt; H1004 and the houses H430 of the gods H4714 of Egypt H8313 shall he burn H784 with fire.
