2 H559 ויאמר Then spoke H5838 עזריה Azariah H1121 בן the son H1955 הושׁעיה of Hoshaiah, H3110 ויוחנן and Johanan H1121 בן the son H7143 קרח of Kareah, H3605 וכל and all H376 האנשׁים men, H2086 הזדים the proud H559 אמרים saying H413 אל unto H3414 ירמיהו Jeremiah, H8267 שׁקר falsely: H859 אתה Thou H1696 מדבר speakest H3808 לא hath not H7971 שׁלחך sent H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהינו our God H559 לאמר thee to say, H3808 לא not H935 תבאו Go H4714 מצרים into Egypt H1481 לגור to sojourn H8033 שׁם׃ there:

3 H3588 כי But H1263 ברוך Baruch H1121 בן the son H5374 נריה of Neriah H5496 מסית H853 אתך H4616 בנו למען against us, for H5414 תת to deliver H853 אתנו H3027 ביד us into the hand H3778 הכשׂדים of the Chaldeans, H4191 להמית H853 אתנו H1540 ולהגלות H853 אתנו H894 בבל׃ into Babylon.

4 H3808 ולא not H8085 שׁמע obeyed H3110 יוחנן So Johanan H1121 בן the son H7143 קרח of Kareah, H3605 וכל and all H8269 שׂרי the captains H2428 החילים of the forces, H3605 וכל and all H5971 העם the people, H6963 בקול the voice H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H3427 לשׁבת to dwell H776 בארץ in the land H3063 יהודה׃ of Judah.

5 H3947 ויקח took H3110 יוחנן But Johanan H1121 בן the son H7143 קרח of Kareah, H3605 וכל and all H8269 שׂרי the captains H2428 החילים of the forces, H853 את H3605 כל all H7611 שׁארית the remnant H3063 יהודה of Judah, H834 אשׁר that H7725 שׁבו were returned H3605 מכל from all H1471 הגוים nations, H834 אשׁר whither H5080 נדחו they had been driven, H8033 שׁם whither H1481 לגור to dwell H776 בארץ in the land H3063 יהודה׃ of Judah;

6 H853 את H1397 הגברים men, H853 ואת H802 הנשׁים and women, H853 ואת H2945 הטף and children, H853 ואת H1323 בנות daughters, H4428 המלך and the king's H853 ואת H3605 כל and every H5315 הנפשׁ person H834 אשׁר that H3240 הניח H5018 נבוזראדן Nebuzaradan H7227 רב the captain H2876 טבחים of the guard H854 את with H1436 גדליהו Gedaliah H1121 בן the son H296 אחיקם of Ahikam H1121 בן the son H8227 שׁפן of Shaphan, H853 ואת H3414 ירמיהו and Jeremiah H5030 הנביא the prophet, H853 ואת H1263 ברוך and Baruch H1121 בן the son H5374 נריהו׃ of Neriah.

7 H935 ויבאו So they came into H776 ארץ the land H4714 מצרים of Egypt: H3588 כי for H3808 לא not H8085 שׁמעו they obeyed H6963 בקול the voice H3068 יהוה of the LORD: H935 ויבאו thus came H5704 עד they to H8471 תחפנחס׃ Tahpanhes.

8 H1961 ויהי Then came H1697 דבר the word H3068 יהוה of the LORD H413 אל unto H3414 ירמיהו Jeremiah H8471 בתחפנחס in Tahpanhes, H559 לאמר׃ saying,

9 H3947 קח Take H3027 בידך in thine hand, H68 אבנים stones H1419 גדלות great H2934 וטמנתם and hide H4423 במלט them in the clay H4404 במלבן in the brickkiln, H834 אשׁר which H6607 בפתח at the entry H1004 בית house H6547 פרעה of Pharaoh's H8471 בתחפנחס in Tahpanhes, H5869 לעיני in the sight H582 אנשׁים H3064 יהודים׃ of Judah;

10 H559 ואמרת And say H413 אליהם unto H3541 כה them, Thus H559 אמר saith H3068 יהוה the LORD H6635 צבאות of hosts, H430 אלהי the God H3478 ישׂראל of Israel; H2005 הנני H7971 שׁלח I will send H3947 ולקחתי and take H853 את H5019 נבוכדראצר Nebuchadnezzar H4428 מלך the king H894 בבל of Babylon, H5650 עבדי my servant, H7760 ושׂמתי and will set H3678 כסאו his throne H4605 ממעל upon H68 לאבנים stones H428 האלה these H834 אשׁר that H2934 טמנתי I have hid; H5186 ונטה and he shall spread H853 את H8237 שׁפרורו his royal pavilion H5921 עליהם׃ over

11 H935 ובאה And when he cometh, H5221 והכה he shall smite H853 את H776 ארץ the land H4714 מצרים of Egypt, H834 אשׁר such H4194 למות for death H4194 למות to death; H834 ואשׁר and such H7628 לשׁבי for captivity H7628 לשׁבי to captivity; H834 ואשׁר and such H2719 לחרב for the sword H2719 לחרב׃ to the sword.

12 H3341 והצתי And I will kindle H784 אשׁ a fire H1004 בבתי in the houses H430 אלהי of the gods H4714 מצרים of Egypt; H8313 ושׂרפם and he shall burn H7617 ושׁבם them, and carry them away captives: H5844 ועטה and he shall array himself H854 את with H776 ארץ the land H4714 מצרים of Egypt, H834 כאשׁר as H5844 יעטה putteth on H7462 הרעה a shepherd H853 את H899 בגדו his garment; H3318 ויצא and he shall go forth H8033 משׁם from thence H7965 בשׁלום׃ in peace.

13 H7665 ושׁבר He shall break H853 את H4676 מצבות also the images H1053 בית שׁמשׁ of Beth-shemesh, H834 אשׁר that H776 בארץ in the land H4714 מצרים of Egypt; H853 ואת H1004 בתי and the houses H430 אלהי of the gods H4714 מצרים of the Egyptians H8313 ישׂרף shall he burn H784 באשׁ׃ with fire.
