  2 H7200 וירא saw H1111 בלק And Balak H1121 בן the son H6834 צפור of Zippor H853 את   H3605 כל all H834 אשׁר that H6213 עשׂה had done H3478 ישׂראל Israel H567 לאמרי׃ to the Amorites.
  3 H1481 ויגר was sore afraid H4124 מואב And Moab H6440 מפני of H5971 העם the people, H3966 מאד was sore afraid H3588 כי because H7227 רב many: H1931 הוא they H6973 ויקץ was distressed H4124 מואב and Moab H6440 מפני because H1121 בני of the children H3478 ישׂראל׃ of Israel.
  4 H559 ויאמר said H4124 מואב And Moab H413 אל unto H2205 זקני the elders H4080 מדין of Midian, H6258 עתה Now H3897 ילחכו lick up H6951 הקהל shall this company H853 את   H3605 כל all H5439 סביבתינו round about H3897 כלחך licketh up H7794 השׁור us, as the ox H853 את   H3418 ירק the grass H7704 השׂדה of the field.   5 H7971 וישׁלח He sent H4397 מלאכים messengers H413 אל therefore unto H1109 בלעם Balaam H1121 בן the son H1160 בעור of Beor H6604 פתורה to Pethor, H834 אשׁר which H5921 על by H5104 הנהר the river H776 ארץ of the land H1121 בני of the children H5971 עמו of his people, H7121 לקרא to call H559 לו לאמר him, saying, H2009 הנה Behold, H5971 עם there is a people H3318 יצא come out H4714 ממצרים   H2009 הנה behold, H3680 כסה they cover H853 את   H5869 עין the face H776 הארץ of the earth, H1931 והוא and they H3427 ישׁב abide H4136 ממלי׃ over against
  6 H6258 ועתה now H1980 לכה Come H4994 נא therefore, I pray thee, H779 ארה curse H853 לי את   H5971 העם people; H2088 הזה me this H3588 כי for H6099 עצום too mighty for H1931 הוא they H4480 ממני too mighty for H194 אולי me: peradventure H3201 אוכל I shall prevail, H5221 נכה we may smite H1644 בו ואגרשׁנו them, and I may drive them out H4480 מן of H776 הארץ the land: H3588 כי for H3045 ידעתי I know H853 את   H834 אשׁר that he whom H1288 תברך thou blessest H1288 מברך blessed, H834 ואשׁר and he whom H779 תאר thou cursest H779 יואר׃ is cursed.
  7 H1980 וילכו departed H2205 זקני And the elders H4124 מואב of Moab H2205 וזקני and the elders H4080 מדין of Midian H7081 וקסמים with the rewards of divination H3027 בידם in their hand; H935 ויבאו and they came H413 אל unto H1109 בלעם Balaam, H1696 וידברו and spoke H413 אליו unto H1697 דברי him the words H1111 בלק׃ of Balak.
  8 H559 ויאמר And he said H413 אליהם unto H3885 לינו them, Lodge H6311 פה here H3915 הלילה this night, H7725 והשׁבתי and I will bring H853 אתכם   H1697 דבר you word H834 כאשׁר again, as H1696 ידבר shall speak H3068 יהוה the LORD H413 אלי unto H3427 וישׁבו abode H8269 שׂרי me: and the princes H4124 מואב of Moab H5973 עם with H1109 בלעם׃ Balaam.
  9 H935 ויבא came H430 אלהים And God H413 אל unto H1109 בלעם Balaam, H559 ויאמר and said, H4310 מי What H582 האנשׁים   H428 האלה these H5973 עמך׃ with
  10 H559 ויאמר said H1109 בלעם And Balaam H413 אל unto H430 האלהים God, H1111 בלק Balak H1121 בן the son H6834 צפר of Zippor, H4428 מלך king H4124 מואב of Moab, H7971 שׁלח hath sent H413 אלי׃ unto
  11 H2009 הנה Behold, H5971 העם a people H3318 היצא come out H4714 ממצרים   H3680 ויכס which covereth H853 את   H5869 עין the face H776 הארץ of the earth: H6258 עתה now, H1980 לכה come H6895 קבה curse H853 לי אתו   H194 אולי me them; peradventure H3201 אוכל I shall be able H3898 להלחם to overcome H1644 בו וגרשׁתיו׃ them, and drive them out.
  12 H559 ויאמר said H430 אלהים And God H413 אל unto H1109 בלעם Balaam, H3808 לא Thou shalt not H1980 תלך go H5973 עמהם with H3808 לא them; thou shalt not H779 תאר curse H853 את   H5971 העם the people: H3588 כי for H1288 ברוך blessed. H1931 הוא׃ they
  13 H6965 ויקם rose up H1109 בלעם And Balaam H1242 בבקר in the morning, H559 ויאמר and said H413 אל unto H8269 שׂרי the princes H1111 בלק of Balak, H1980 לכו Get H413 אל you into H776 ארצכם your land: H3588 כי for H3985 מאן refuseth H3068 יהוה the LORD H5414 לתתי to give me leave H1980 להלך to go H5973 עמכם׃ with
  14 H6965 ויקומו rose up, H8269 שׂרי And the princes H4124 מואב of Moab H935 ויבאו and they went H413 אל unto H1111 בלק Balak, H559 ויאמרו and said, H3985 מאן refuseth H1109 בלעם Balaam H1980 הלך to come H5973 עמנו׃ with
  15 H3254 ויסף again H5750 עוד yet H1111 בלק And Balak H7971 שׁלח sent H8269 שׂרים princes, H7227 רבים more, H3513 ונכבדים and more honorable H428 מאלה׃ than they.
  16 H935 ויבאו And they came H413 אל to H1109 בלעם Balaam, H559 ויאמרו and said H3541 לו כה to him, Thus H559 אמר saith H1111 בלק Balak H1121 בן the son H6834 צפור of Zippor, H408 אל Let nothing, H4994 נא I pray thee, H4513 תמנע hinder H1980 מהלך thee from coming H413 אלי׃ unto
  17 H3588 כי For H3513 כבד   H3513 אכבדך   H3966 מאד   H3605 וכל whatsoever H834 אשׁר whatsoever H559 תאמר thou sayest H413 אלי unto H6213 אעשׂה and I will do H1980 ולכה me: come H4994 נא therefore, I pray thee, H6895 קבה curse H853 לי את   H5971 העם people. H2088 הזה׃ me this
  18 H6030 ויען answered H1109 בלעם And Balaam H559 ויאמר and said H413 אל unto H5650 עבדי the servants H1111 בלק of Balak, H518 אם If H5414 יתן would give H1111 לי בלק Balak H4393 מלא full H1004 ביתו me his house H3701 כסף of silver H2091 וזהב and gold, H3808 לא   H3201 אוכל   H5674 לעבר go beyond H853 את   H6310 פי the word H3068 יהוה of the LORD H430 אלהי my God, H6213 לעשׂות to do H6996 קטנה less H176 או or H1419 גדולה׃ more.
  19 H6258 ועתה Now H3427 שׁבו tarry H4994 נא therefore, I pray you, H2088 בזה here H1571 גם also H859 אתם ye H3915 הלילה this night, H3045 ואדעה that I may know H4100 מה what H3254 יסף me more. H3068 יהוה the LORD H1696 דבר will say H5973 עמי׃ unto
  20 H935 ויבא came H430 אלהים And God H413 אל unto H1109 בלעם Balaam H3915 לילה at night, H559 ויאמר and said H518 לו אם unto him, If H7121 לקרא to call H935 לך באו come H376 האנשׁים the men H6965 קום thee, rise up, H1980 לך go H854 אתם with H389 ואך them; but yet H853 את   H1697 הדבר the word H834 אשׁר which H1696 אדבר I shall say H413 אליך unto H853 אתו   H6213 תעשׂה׃ thee, that shalt thou do.
  21 H6965 ויקם rose up H1109 בלעם And Balaam H1242 בבקר in the morning, H2280 ויחבשׁ and saddled H853 את   H860 אתנו his ass, H1980 וילך and went H5973 עם with H8269 שׂרי the princes H4124 מואב׃ of Moab.
  22 H2734 ויחר was kindled H639 אף anger H430 אלהים And God's H3588 כי because H1980 הולך went: H1931 הוא he H3320 ויתיצב stood H4397 מלאך and the angel H3068 יהוה of the LORD H1870 בדרך in the way H7854 לשׂטן for an adversary H1931 לו והוא against him. Now he H7392 רכב was riding H5921 על upon H860 אתנו his ass, H8147 ושׁני and his two H5288 נעריו servants H5973 עמו׃ with
  23 H7200 ותרא saw H860 האתון And the ass H853 את   H4397 מלאך the angel H3068 יהוה of the LORD H5324 נצב standing H1870 בדרך in the way, H2719 וחרבו and his sword H8025 שׁלופה drawn H3027 בידו in his hand: H5186 ותט turned aside H860 האתון and the ass H4480 מן out of H1870 הדרך the way, H1980 ותלך and went H7704 בשׂדה into the field: H5221 ויך smote H1109 בלעם and Balaam H853 את   H860 האתון the ass, H5186 להטתה to turn H1870 הדרך׃ her into the way.
  24 H5975 ויעמד stood H4397 מלאך But the angel H3068 יהוה of the LORD H4934 במשׁעול in a path H3754 הכרמים of the vineyards, H1447 גדר a wall H2088 מזה on this side, H1447 וגדר and a wall H2088 מזה׃ on that side.
  25 H7200 ותרא saw H860 האתון And when the ass H853 את   H4397 מלאך the angel H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H3905 ותלחץ she thrust herself H413 אל unto H7023 הקיר the wall, H3905 ותלחץ and crushed H853 את   H7272 רגל foot H1109 בלעם Balaam's H413 אל against H7023 הקיר the wall: H3254 ויסף her again. H5221 להכתה׃ and he smote
  26 H3254 ויוסף further, H4397 מלאך And the angel H3068 יהוה of the LORD H5674 עבור went H5975 ויעמד and stood H4725 במקום place, H6862 צר in a narrow H834 אשׁר where H369 אין no H1870 דרך way H5186 לנטות to turn H3225 ימין either to the right hand H8040 ושׂמאול׃ or to the left.
  27 H7200 ותרא saw H860 האתון And when the ass H853 את   H4397 מלאך the angel H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H7257 ותרבץ she fell down H8478 תחת under H1109 בלעם Balaam: H2734 ויחר was kindled, H639 אף anger H1109 בלעם and Balaam's H5221 ויך and he smote H853 את   H860 האתון the ass H4731 במקל׃ with a staff.
  28 H6605 ויפתח opened H3068 יהוה And the LORD H853 את   H6310 פי the mouth H860 האתון of the ass, H559 ותאמר and she said H1109 לבלעם unto Balaam, H4100 מה What H6213 עשׂיתי have I done H3588 לך כי unto thee, that H5221 הכיתני thou hast smitten H2088 זה me these H7969 שׁלשׁ three H7272 רגלים׃ times?
  29 H559 ויאמר said H1109 בלעם And Balaam H860 לאתון unto the ass, H3588 כי Because H5953 התעללת thou hast mocked H3863 בי לו me: I would H3426 ישׁ there were H2719 חרב a sword H3027 בידי in mine hand, H3588 כי for H6258 עתה now H2026 הרגתיך׃ would I kill
  30 H559 ותאמר said H860 האתון And the ass H413 אל unto H1109 בלעם Balaam, H3808 הלוא not H595 אנכי I H860 אתנך thine ass, H834 אשׁר which H7392 רכבת thou hast ridden H5921 עלי upon H5750 מעודך ever since H5704 עד thine unto H3117 היום day? H2088 הזה this H5532 ההסכן   H5532 הסכנתי   H6213 לעשׂות to do H3541 לך כה so H559 ויאמר unto thee? And he said, H3808 לא׃ Nay.
  31 H1540 ויגל opened H3068 יהוה Then the LORD H853 את   H5869 עיני the eyes H1109 בלעם of Balaam, H7200 וירא and he saw H853 את   H4397 מלאך the angel H3068 יהוה of the LORD H5324 נצב standing H1870 בדרך in the way, H2719 וחרבו and his sword H8025 שׁלפה drawn H3027 בידו in his hand: H6915 ויקד and he bowed down his head, H7812 וישׁתחו and fell flat H639 לאפיו׃ on his face.
  32 H559 ויאמר said H413 אליו unto H4397 מלאך And the angel H3068 יהוה of the LORD H5921 על   H4100 מה   H5221 הכית hast thou smitten H853 את   H860 אתנך thine ass H2088 זה these H7969 שׁלושׁ three H7272 רגלים times? H2009 הנה behold, H595 אנכי I H3318 יצאתי went out H7854 לשׂטן to withstand H3588 כי thee, because H3399 ירט is perverse H1870 הדרך way H5048 לנגדי׃ before
  33 H7200 ותראני saw H860 האתון And the ass H5186 ותט me, and turned H6440 לפני from H2088 זה me these H7969 שׁלשׁ three H7272 רגלים times: H194 אולי unless H5186 נטתה she had turned H6440 מפני from H3588 כי me, surely H6258 עתה now H1571 גם also H853 אתכה   H2026 הרגתי I had slain H853 ואותה   H2421 החייתי׃  
  34 H559 ויאמר said H1109 בלעם And Balaam H413 אל unto H4397 מלאך the angel H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H2398 חטאתי I have sinned; H3588 כי for H3808 לא not H3045 ידעתי I knew H3588 כי that H859 אתה thou H5324 נצב stoodest H7125 לקראתי against H1870 בדרך in the way H6258 ועתה me: now H518 אם therefore, if H7451 רע   H5869 בעיניך it displease H7725 אשׁובה׃ thee, I will get me back again.
  35 H559 ויאמר said H4397 מלאך And the angel H3068 יהוה of the LORD H413 אל unto H1109 בלעם Balaam, H1980 לך Go H5973 עם with H376 האנשׁים the men: H657 ואפס but only H853 את   H1697 הדבר the word H834 אשׁר that H1696 אדבר I shall speak H413 אליך unto H853 אתו   H1696 תדבר thee, that thou shalt speak. H1980 וילך went H1109 בלעם So Balaam H5973 עם with H8269 שׂרי the princes H1111 בלק׃ of Balak.
  36 H8085 וישׁמע heard H1111 בלק And when Balak H3588 כי that H935 בא was come, H1109 בלעם Balaam H3318 ויצא he went out H7125 לקראתו to meet H413 אל him unto H5892 עיר a city H4124 מואב of Moab, H834 אשׁר which H5921 על in H1366 גבול the border H769 ארנן of Arnon, H834 אשׁר which H7097 בקצה in the utmost H1366 הגבול׃ coast.
  37 H559 ויאמר said H1111 בלק And Balak H413 אל unto H1109 בלעם Balaam, H3808 הלא Did I not H7971 שׁלח earnestly send H7971 שׁלחתי earnestly send H413 אליך unto H7121 לקרא thee to call H4100 לך למה thee? wherefore H3808 לא thou not H1980 הלכת camest H413 אלי unto H552 האמנם indeed H3808 לא   H3201 אוכל   H3513 כבדך׃ to promote thee to honor?
  38 H559 ויאמר said H1109 בלעם And Balaam H413 אל unto H1111 בלק Balak, H2009 הנה Lo, H935 באתי I am come H413 אליך unto H6258 עתה thee: have I now H3605 היכל   H3201 אוכל any power at all H1696 דבר to say H3972 מאומה any thing? H1697 הדבר the word H834 אשׁר that H7760 ישׂים putteth H430 אלהים God H6310 בפי in my mouth, H853 אתו   H1696 אדבר׃ that shall I speak.
  39 H1980 וילך went H1109 בלעם And Balaam H5973 עם with H1111 בלק Balak, H935 ויבאו and they came H7155 קרית חצות׃ unto Kirjath-huzoth.
  40 H2076 ויזבח offered H1111 בלק And Balak H1241 בקר oxen H6629 וצאן and sheep, H7971 וישׁלח and sent H1109 לבלעם to Balaam, H8269 ולשׂרים and to the princes H834 אשׁר that H854 אתו׃ with
  41 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass H1242 בבקר on the morrow, H3947 ויקח took H1111 בלק that Balak H853 את   H1109 בלעם Balaam, H5927 ויעלהו and brought him up H1120 במות בעל   H7200 וירא he might see H8033 משׁם that thence H7097 קצה the utmost H5971 העם׃ of the people.
