  2 H251 And thy brethren H4294 also of the tribe H3878 of Levi H7626 , the tribe H1 of thy father H7126 , bring [H8685]   H3867 thou with thee, that they may be joined [H8735]   H8334 unto thee, and minister [H8762]   H1121 unto thee: but thou and thy sons H6440 with thee shall minister before H168 the tabernacle H5715 of witness.
  3 H8104 And they shall keep [H8804]   H4931 thy charge H4931 , and the charge H168 of all the tabernacle H7126 : only they shall not come nigh [H8799]   H3627 the vessels H6944 of the sanctuary H4196 and the altar H4191 , that neither they, nor ye also, die [H8799]  .
  4 H3867 And they shall be joined [H8738]   H8104 unto thee, and keep [H8804]   H4931 the charge H168 of the tabernacle H4150 of the congregation H5656 , for all the service H168 of the tabernacle H2114 : and a stranger [H8801]   H7126 shall not come nigh [H8799]   unto you.
  5 H8104 And ye shall keep [H8804]   H4931 the charge H6944 of the sanctuary H4931 , and the charge H4196 of the altar H7110 : that there be no wrath H1121 any more upon the children H3478 of Israel.
  6 H3947 And I, behold, I have taken [H8804]   H251 your brethren H3881 the Levites H8432 from among H1121 the children H3478 of Israel H5414 : to you they are given [H8803]   H4979 as a gift H3068 for the LORD H5647 , to do [H8800]   H5656 the service H168 of the tabernacle H4150 of the congregation.
  7 H1121 Therefore thou and thy sons H8104 with thee shall keep [H8799]   H3550 your priest's office H1697 for every thing H4196 of the altar H1004 , and within H6532 the vail H5647 ; and ye shall serve [H8804]   H5414 : I have given [H8799]   H3550 your priest's office H5656 unto you as a service H4979 of gift H2114 : and the stranger [H8801]   H7131 that cometh nigh H4191 shall be put to death [H8714]  .
  8 H3068 And the LORD H1696 spake [H8762]   H175 unto Aaron H5414 , Behold, I also have given [H8804]   H4931 thee the charge H8641 of mine heave offerings H6944 of all the hallowed things H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H5414 ; unto thee have I given [H8804]   H4888 them by reason of the anointing H1121 , and to thy sons H2706 , by an ordinance H5769 for ever.
  9 H6944 This shall be thine of the most H6944 holy things H784 , reserved from the fire H7133 : every oblation H4503 of theirs, every meat offering H2403 of theirs, and every sin offering H817 of theirs, and every trespass offering H7725 of theirs, which they shall render [H8686]   H6944 unto me, shall be most H6944 holy H1121 for thee and for thy sons.
  10 H6944 In the most H6944 holy H398 place shalt thou eat [H8799]   H2145 it; every male H398 shall eat [H8799]   H6944 it: it shall be holy unto thee.
  11 H8641 And this is thine; the heave offering H4976 of their gift H8573 , with all the wave offerings H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H5414 : I have given [H8804]   H1121 them unto thee, and to thy sons H1323 and to thy daughters H2706 with thee, by a statute H5769 for ever H2889 : every one that is clean H1004 in thy house H398 shall eat [H8799]   of it.
  12 H2459 All the best H3323 of the oil H2459 , and all the best H8492 of the wine H1715 , and of the wheat H7225 , the firstfruits H5414 of them which they shall offer [H8799]   H3068 unto the LORD H5414 , them have I given [H8804]   thee.
  13 H1061 And whatsoever is first ripe H776 in the land H935 , which they shall bring [H8686]   H3068 unto the LORD H2889 , shall be thine; every one that is clean H1004 in thine house H398 shall eat [H8799]   of it.
  14 H2764 Every thing devoted H3478 in Israel shall be thine.
  15 H6363 Every thing that openeth H7358 the matrix H1320 in all flesh H7126 , which they bring [H8686]   H3068 unto the LORD H120 , whether it be of men H929 or beasts H1060 , shall be thine: nevertheless the firstborn H120 of man H6299 shalt thou surely [H8800]   H6299 redeem [H8799]   H1060 , and the firstling H2931 of unclean H929 beasts H6299 shalt thou redeem [H8799]  .
  16 H6299 And those that are to be redeemed [H8803]   H2320 from a month H1121 old H6299 shalt thou redeem [H8799]   H6187 , according to thine estimation H3701 , for the money H2568 of five H8255 shekels H8255 , after the shekel H6944 of the sanctuary H6242 , which is twenty H1626 gerahs.
  17 H1060 But the firstling H7794 of a cow H1060 , or the firstling H3775 of a sheep H1060 , or the firstling H5795 of a goat H6299 , thou shalt not redeem [H8799]   H6944 ; they are holy H2236 : thou shalt sprinkle [H8799]   H1818 their blood H4196 upon the altar H6999 , and shalt burn [H8686]   H2459 their fat H801 for an offering made by fire H5207 , for a sweet H7381 savour H3068 unto the LORD.
  18 H1320 And the flesh H8573 of them shall be thine, as the wave H2373 breast H3225 and as the right H7785 shoulder are thine.
  19 H8641 All the heave offerings H6944 of the holy things H1121 , which the children H3478 of Israel H7311 offer [H8686]   H3068 unto the LORD H5414 , have I given [H8804]   H1121 thee, and thy sons H1323 and thy daughters H2706 with thee, by a statute H5769 for ever H1285 : it is a covenant H4417 of salt H5769 for ever H6440 before H3068 the LORD H2233 unto thee and to thy seed with thee.
  20 H3068 And the LORD H559 spake [H8799]   H175 unto Aaron H5157 , Thou shalt have no inheritance [H8799]   H776 in their land H2506 , neither shalt thou have any part H8432 among H2506 them: I am thy part H5159 and thine inheritance H8432 among H1121 the children H3478 of Israel.
  21 H5414 And, behold, I have given [H8804]   H1121 the children H3878 of Levi H4643 all the tenth H3478 in Israel H5159 for an inheritance H2500 , for H5656 their service H5647 which they serve [H8802]   H5656 , even the service H168 of the tabernacle H4150 of the congregation.
  22 H1121 Neither must the children H3478 of Israel H5750 henceforth H7126 come nigh [H8799]   H168 the tabernacle H4150 of the congregation H5375 , lest they bear [H8800]   H2399 sin H4191 , and die [H8800]  .
  23 H3881 But the Levites H5647 shall do [H8804]   H5656 the service H168 of the tabernacle H4150 of the congregation H5375 , and they shall bear [H8799]   H5771 their iniquity H2708 : it shall be a statute H5769 for ever H1755 throughout your generations H8432 , that among H1121 the children H3478 of Israel H5157 they have [H8799]   H5159 no inheritance.
  24 H4643 But the tithes H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H7311 , which they offer [H8686]   H8641 as an heave offering H3068 unto the LORD H5414 , I have given [H8804]   H3881 to the Levites H5159 to inherit H559 : therefore I have said [H8804]   H8432 unto them, Among H1121 the children H3478 of Israel H5157 they shall have [H8799]   H5159 no inheritance.
  25 H3068 And the LORD H1696 spake [H8762]   H4872 unto Moses H559 , saying [H8800]  ,
  26 H1696 Thus speak [H8762]   H3881 unto the Levites H559 , and say [H8804]   H3947 unto them, When ye take [H8799]   H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H4643 the tithes H5414 which I have given [H8804]   H5159 you from them for your inheritance H7311 , then ye shall offer [H8689]   H8641 up an heave offering H3068 of it for the LORD H4643 , even a tenth H4643 part of the tithe.
  27 H8641 And this your heave offering H2803 shall be reckoned [H8738]   H1715 unto you, as though it were the corn H1637 of the threshingfloor H4395 , and as the fulness H3342 of the winepress.
  28 H7311 Thus ye also shall offer [H8686]   H8641 an heave offering H3068 unto the LORD H4643 of all your tithes H3947 , which ye receive [H8799]   H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H5414 ; and ye shall give [H8804]   H3068 thereof the LORD'S H8641 heave offering H175 to Aaron H3548 the priest.
  29 H4979 Out of all your gifts H7311 ye shall offer [H8686]   H8641 every heave offering H3068 of the LORD H2459 , of all the best H4720 thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it.
  30 H559 Therefore thou shalt say [H8804]   H7311 unto them, When ye have heaved [H8687]   H2459 the best H2803 thereof from it, then it shall be counted [H8738]   H3881 unto the Levites H8393 as the increase H1637 of the threshingfloor H8393 , and as the increase H3342 of the winepress.
  31 H398 And ye shall eat [H8804]   H4725 it in every place H1004 , ye and your households H7939 : for it is your reward H2500 for H5656 your service H168 in the tabernacle H4150 of the congregation.
  32 H5375 And ye shall bear [H8799]   H2399 no sin H7311 by reason of it, when ye have heaved [H8687]   H2459 from it the best H2490 of it: neither shall ye pollute [H8762]   H6944 the holy things H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H4191 , lest ye die [H8799]  .
ERV(i) 1 And the LORD said unto Aaron, Thou and thy sons and thy fathers’ house with thee shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary: and thou and thy sons with thee shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood. 2 And thy brethren also, the tribe of Levi, the tribe of thy father, bring thou near with thee, that they may be joined unto thee, and minister unto thee: but thou and thy sons with thee shall be before the tent of the testimony. 3 And they shall keep thy charge, and the charge of all the Tent: only they shall not come nigh unto the vessels of the sanctuary and unto the altar, that they die not, neither they, nor ye. 4 And they shall be joined unto thee, and keep the charge of the tent of meeting, for all the service of the Tent: and a stranger shall not come nigh unto you. 5 And ye shall keep the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar: that there be wrath no more upon the children of Israel. 6 And I, behold, I have taken your brethren the Levites from among the children of Israel: to you they are a gift, given unto the LORD, to do the service of the tent of meeting. 7 And thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your priesthood for every thing of the altar, and for that within the veil; and ye shall serve: I give you the priesthood as a service of gift: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death. 8 And the LORD spake unto Aaron, And I, behold, I have given thee the charge of mine heave offerings, even all the hallowed things of the children of Israel, unto thee have I given them by reason of the anointing, and to thy sons, as a due for ever. 9 This shall be thine of the most holy things, [reserved] from the fire: every oblation of theirs, even every meal offering of theirs, and every sin offering of theirs, and every guilt offering of theirs, which they shall render unto me, shall be most holy for thee and for thy sons. 10 As the most holy things shalt thou eat thereof: every male shall eat thereof; it shall be holy unto thee. 11 And this is thine; the heave offering of their gift, even all the wave offerings of the children of Israel: I have given them unto thee, and to thy sons and to thy daughters with thee, as a due for ever: every one that is clean in thy house shall eat thereof. 12 All the best of the oil, and all the best of the vintage, and of the corn, the firstfruits of them which they give unto the LORD, to thee have I given them. 13 The firstripe fruits of all that is in their land, which they bring unto the LORD, shall be thine; every one that is clean in thy house shall eat thereof. 14 Every thing devoted in Israel shall be thine. 15 Every thing that openeth the womb, of all flesh which they offer unto the LORD, both of man and beast, shall be thine: nevertheless the firstborn of man shalt thou surely redeem, and the firstling of unclean beasts shalt thou redeem. 16 And those that are to be redeemed of them from a month old shalt thou redeem, according to thine estimation, for the money of five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary (the same is twenty gerahs). 17 But the firstling of an ox, or the firstling of a sheep, or the firstling of a goat, thou shalt not redeem; they are holy: thou shalt sprinkle their blood upon the altar, and shalt burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a sweet savour unto the LORD. 18 And the flesh of them shall be thine, as the wave breast and as the right thigh, it shall be thine. 19 All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto the LORD, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, as a due for ever: it is a covenant of salt for ever before the LORD unto thee and to thy seed with thee. 20 And the LORD said unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any portion among them: I am thy portion and thine inheritance among the children of Israel. 21 And unto the children of Levi, behold, I have given all the tithe in Israel for an inheritance, in return for their service which they serve, even the service of the tent of meeting. 22 And henceforth the children of Israel shall not come nigh the tent of meeting, lest they bear sin, and die. 23 But the Levites shall do the service of the tent of meeting, and they shall bear their iniquity: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations, and among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance. 24 For the tithe of the children of Israel, which they offer as an heave offering unto the LORD, I have given to the Levites for an inheritance: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance. 25 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 26 Moreover thou shalt speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithe which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, a tithe of the tithe. 27 And your heave offering shall be reckoned unto you, as though it were the corn of the threshing-floor, and as the fulness of the winepress. 28 Thus ye also shall offer an heave offering unto the LORD of all your tithes, which ye receive of the children of Israel; and thereof ye shall give the LORD’S heave offering to Aaron the priest. 29 Out of all your gifts ye shall offer every heave offering of the LORD, of all the best thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it. 30 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, When ye heave the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levites as the increase of the threshing-floor, and as the increase of the winepress. 31 And ye shall eat it in every place, ye and your households: for it is your reward in return for your service in the tent of meeting. 32 And ye shall bear no sin by reason of it, when ye have heaved from it the best thereof: and ye shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, that ye die not.
