  2 H369 אין none H6918 קדושׁ holy H3068 כיהוה as the LORD: H3588 כי for H369 אין none H1115 בלתך beside H369 ואין thee: neither H6697 צור any rock H430 כאלהינו׃ like our God.
  3 H408 אל no H7235 תרבו more H1696 תדברו Talk H1364 גבהה so exceeding proudly; H1364 גבהה so exceeding proudly; H3318 יצא come out H6277 עתק let arrogance H6310 מפיכם of your mouth: H3588 כי for H410 אל a God H1844 דעות of knowledge, H3068 יהוה the LORD H3808 ולא   H8505 נתכנו are weighed. H5949 עללות׃ and by him actions
  4 H7198 קשׁת The bows H1368 גברים of the mighty men H2844 חתים broken, H3782 ונכשׁלים and they that stumbled H247 אזרו are girded H2428 חיל׃ with strength.
  5 H7649 שׂבעים full H3899 בלחם for bread; H7936 נשׂכרו have hired out themselves H7457 ורעבים and hungry H2308 חדלו ceased: H5704 עד so that H6135 עקרה the barren H3205 ילדה hath born H7651 שׁבעה seven; H7227 ורבת and she that hath many H1121 בנים children H535 אמללה׃ is waxed feeble.
  6 H3068 יהוה The LORD H4191 ממית killeth, H2421 ומחיה and maketh alive: H3381 מוריד he bringeth down H7585 שׁאול to the grave, H5927 ויעל׃ and bringeth up.
  7 H3068 יהוה The LORD H3423 מורישׁ maketh poor, H6238 ומעשׁיר and maketh rich: H8213 משׁפיל he bringeth low, H637 אף and H7311 מרומם׃ lifteth up.
  8 H6965 מקים He raiseth up H6083 מעפר out of the dust, H1800 דל the poor H830 מאשׁפת from the dunghill, H7311 ירים lifteth up H34 אביון the beggar H3427 להושׁיב to set H5973 עם among H5081 נדיבים princes, H3678 וכסא the throne H3519 כבוד of glory: H5157 ינחלם and to make them inherit H3588 כי for H3068 ליהוה the LORD's, H4690 מצקי the pillars H776 ארץ of the earth H7896 וישׁת and he hath set H5921 עליהם upon H8398 תבל׃ the world
  9 H7272 רגלי the feet H2623 חסידו of his saints, H8104 ישׁמר He will keep H7563 ורשׁעים and the wicked H2822 בחשׁך in darkness; H1826 ידמו shall be silent H3588 כי for H3808 לא shall no H3581 בכח by strength H1396 יגבר prevail. H376 אישׁ׃ man
  10 H3068 יהוה of the LORD H5181 יחתו   H7378 מריבו The adversaries H5921 עלו upon H8064 בשׁמים out of heaven H7481 ירעם shall he thunder H3068 יהוה them: the LORD H1777 ידין shall judge H657 אפסי the ends H776 ארץ of the earth; H5414 ויתן and he shall give H5797 עז strength H4428 למלכו unto his king, H7311 וירם and exalt H7161 קרן the horn H4899 משׁיחו׃ of his anointed.
  11 H1980 וילך went H511 אלקנה And Elkanah H7414 הרמתה to Ramah H5921 על to H1004 ביתו his house. H5288 והנער And the child H1961 היה did H8334 משׁרת minister H853 את   H3068 יהוה unto the LORD H853 את   H6440 פני before H5941 עלי Eli H3548 הכהן׃ the priest.
  12 H1121 ובני Now the sons H5941 עלי of Eli H1121 בני sons H1100 בליעל of Belial; H3808 לא not H3045 ידעו they knew H853 את   H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.
  13 H4941 ומשׁפט custom H3548 הכהנים And the priests' H854 את with H5971 העם the people H3605 כל when any H376 אישׁ man H2076 זבח offered H2077 זבח sacrifice, H935 ובא came, H5288 נער servant H3548 הכהן the priest's H1310 כבשׁל was in seething, H1320 הבשׂר while the flesh H4207 והמזלג with a fleshhook H7969 שׁלשׁ of three H8127 השׁנים teeth H3027 בידו׃ in his hand;
  14 H5221 והכה And he struck H3595 בכיור into the pan, H176 או or H1731 בדוד kettle, H176 או or H7037 בקלחת caldron, H176 או or H6517 בפרור pot; H3605 כל all H834 אשׁר that H5927 יעלה brought up H4207 המזלג the fleshhook H3947 יקח took H3548 הכהן the priest H3602 בו ככה for himself. So H6213 יעשׂו they did H3605 לכל unto all H3478 ישׂראל the Israelites H935 הבאים that came H8033 שׁם thither. H7887 בשׁלה׃ in Shiloh
  15 H1571 גם Also H2962 בטרם before H6999 יקטרון they burnt H853 את   H2459 החלב the fat, H935 ובא came, H5288 נער servant H3548 הכהן the priest's H559 ואמר and said H376 לאישׁ to the man H2076 הזבח that sacrificed, H5414 תנה Give H1320 בשׂר flesh H6740 לצלות to roast H3548 לכהן for the priest; H3808 ולא for he will not H3947 יקח have H4480 ממך of H1320 בשׂר sodden flesh H1310 מבשׁל sodden flesh H3588 כי thee, but H518 אם thee, but H2416 חי׃ raw.
  16 H559 ויאמר said H413 אליו unto H376 האישׁ And any man H6999 קטר   H6999 יקטירון   H3117 כיום presently, H2459 החלב the fat H3947 וקח and take H834 לך כאשׁר as H8378 תאוה   H5315 נפשׁך thy soul H559 ואמר then he would answer H3588 לו כי him, but H6258 עתה now: H5414 תתן thou shalt give H518 ואם and if H3808 לא not, H3947 לקחתי I will take H2394 בחזקה׃ by force.
  17 H1961 ותהי was H2403 חטאת Wherefore the sin H5288 הנערים of the young men H1419 גדולה great H3966 מאד very H853 את   H6440 פני before H3068 יהוה the LORD: H3588 כי for H5006 נאצו abhorred H582 האנשׁים   H853 את   H4503 מנחת the offering H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD.
  18 H8050 ושׁמואל But Samuel H8334 משׁרת ministered H853 את   H6440 פני before H3068 יהוה the LORD, H5288 נער a child, H2296 חגור girded H646 אפוד ephod. H906 בד׃ with a linen
  19 H4598 ומעיל coat, H6996 קטן him a little H6213 תעשׂה made H517 לו אמו Moreover his mother H5927 והעלתה and brought H3117 לו מימים the yearly H3117 ימימה   H5927 בעלותה when she came up H854 את with H376 אישׁה her husband H2076 לזבח to offer H853 את   H2077 זבח sacrifice. H3117 הימים׃  
  20 H1288 וברך blessed H5941 עלי And Eli H853 את   H511 אלקנה Elkanah H853 ואת   H802 אשׁתו and his wife, H559 ואמר and said, H7760 ישׂם give H3068 יהוה The LORD H2233 לך זרע thee seed H4480 מן of H802 האשׁה woman H2063 הזאת this H8478 תחת for H7596 השׁאלה the loan H834 אשׁר which H7592 שׁאל is lent H3068 ליהוה to the LORD. H1980 והלכו And they went H4725 למקמו׃ unto their own home.
  21 H3588 כי And H6485 פקד visited H3068 יהוה the LORD H853 את   H2584 חנה Hannah, H2029 ותהר so that she conceived, H3205 ותלד and bore H7969 שׁלשׁה three H1121 בנים sons H8147 ושׁתי and two H1323 בנות daughters. H1431 ויגדל grew H5288 הנער And the child H8050 שׁמואל Samuel H5973 עם before H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.
  22 H5941 ועלי Now Eli H2204 זקן old, H3966 מאד was very H8085 ושׁמע and heard H853 את   H3605 כל all H834 אשׁר that H6213 יעשׂון did H1121 בניו his sons H3605 לכל unto all H3478 ישׂראל Israel; H853 ואת   H834 אשׁר and how H7901 ישׁכבון they lay H854 את with H802 הנשׁים the women H6633 הצבאות that assembled H6607 פתח the door H168 אהל of the tabernacle H4150 מועד׃ of the congregation.
  23 H559 ויאמר And he said H4100 להם למה unto them, Why H6213 תעשׂון do H1697 כדברים things? H428 האלה ye such H834 אשׁר for H595 אנכי I H8085 שׁמע hear H853 את   H1697 דבריכם dealings H7451 רעים of your evil H853 מאת   H3605 כל all H5971 העם people. H428 אלה׃ this
  24 H408 אל Nay, H1121 בני my sons; H3588 כי for H3808 לוא no H2896 טובה good H8052 השׁמעה report H834 אשׁר that H595 אנכי I H8085 שׁמע hear: H5674 מעברים to transgress. H5971 עם people H3068 יהוה׃ ye make the LORD's
  25 H518 אם If H2398 יחטא sin H376 אישׁ one man H376 לאישׁ against another, H6419 ופללו shall judge H430 אלהים the judge H518 ואם him: but if H3068 ליהוה against the LORD, H2398 יחטא sin H376 אישׁ a man H4310 מי who H6419 יתפלל shall entreat H3808 לו ולא for him? Notwithstanding H8085 ישׁמעו they hearkened H6963 לקול not unto the voice H1 אביהם of their father, H3588 כי because H2654 חפץ would H3068 יהוה the LORD H4191 להמיתם׃ slay
  26 H5288 והנער And the child H8050 שׁמואל Samuel H1980 הלך grew H1432 וגדל on, H2896 וטוב and was in favor H1571 גם both H5973 עם with H3068 יהוה the LORD, H1571 וגם and also H5973 עם with H376 אנשׁים׃ men.
  27 H935 ויבא And there came H376 אישׁ a man H430 אלהים of God H413 אל unto H5941 עלי Eli, H559 ויאמר and said H413 אליו unto H3541 כה him, Thus H559 אמר saith H3068 יהוה the LORD, H1540 הנגלה   H1540 נגליתי   H413 אל unto H1004 בית the house H1 אביך of thy father, H1961 בהיותם when they were H4714 במצרים in Egypt H1004 לבית house? H6547 פרעה׃ in Pharaoh's
  28 H977 ובחר And did I choose H853 אתו   H3605 מכל him out of all H7626 שׁבטי the tribes H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H3548 לי לכהן my priest, H5927 לעלות to offer H5921 על upon H4196 מזבחי mine altar, H6999 להקטיר to burn H7004 קטרת incense, H5375 לשׂאת to wear H646 אפוד an ephod H6440 לפני before H5414 ואתנה me? and did I give H1004 לבית unto the house H1 אביך of thy father H853 את   H3605 כל all H801 אשׁי the offerings made by fire H1121 בני of the children H3478 ישׂראל׃ of Israel?
  29 H4100 למה Wherefore H1163 תבעטו kick H2077 בזבחי ye at my sacrifice H4503 ובמנחתי and at mine offering, H834 אשׁר which H6680 צויתי I have commanded H4583 מעון habitation; H3513 ותכבד and honorest H853 את   H1121 בניך thy sons H4480 ממני above H1254 להבריאכם me, to make yourselves fat H7225 מראשׁית with the chiefest H3605 כל of all H4503 מנחת the offerings H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H5971 לעמי׃ my people?
  30 H3651 לכן Wherefore H5002 נאם saith, H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהי God H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H559 אמור I said H559 אמרתי indeed H1004 ביתך thy house, H1004 ובית and the house H1 אביך of thy father, H1980 יתהלכו should walk H6440 לפני before H5704 עד me forever: H5769 עולם me forever: H6258 ועתה but now H5002 נאם saith, H3068 יהוה the LORD H2486 חלילה Be it far H3588 לי כי from me; for H3513 מכבדי them that honor H3513 אכבד me I will honor, H959 ובזי and they that despise H7043 יקלו׃ me shall be lightly esteemed.
  31 H2009 הנה Behold, H3117 ימים the days H935 באים come, H1438 וגדעתי that I will cut off H853 את   H2220 זרעך thine arm, H853 ואת   H2220 זרע and the arm H1004 בית house, H1 אביך of thy father's H1961 מהיות that there shall not be H2205 זקן an old man H1004 בביתך׃ in thine house.
  32 H5027 והבטת And thou shalt see H6862 צר an enemy H4583 מעון habitation, H3605 בכל in all H834 אשׁר which H3190 ייטיב shall give H853 את   H3478 ישׂראל Israel: H3808 ולא and there shall not H1961 יהיה be H2205 זקן an old man H1004 בביתך in thine house H3605 כל forever. H3117 הימים׃ forever.
  33 H376 ואישׁ And the man H3808 לא of thine, I shall not H3772 אכרית cut off H5973 לך מעם from H4196 מזבחי mine altar, H3615 לכלות to consume H853 את   H5869 עיניך thine eyes, H109 ולאדיב and to grieve H853 את   H5315 נפשׁך thine heart: H3605 וכל and all H4768 מרבית the increase H1004 ביתך of thine house H4191 ימותו shall die H376 אנשׁים׃ in the flower of their age.
  34 H2088 וזה And this H226 לך האות a sign H834 אשׁר unto thee, that H935 יבא shall come H413 אל upon H8147 שׁני thy two H1121 בניך sons, H413 אל on H2652 חפני Hophni H6372 ופינחס and Phinehas; H3117 ביום day H259 אחד in one H4191 ימותו they shall die H8147 שׁניהם׃ both
  35 H6965 והקימתי And I will raise me up H3548 לי כהן priest, H539 נאמן a faithful H834 כאשׁר according to which H3824 בלבבי in mine heart H5315 ובנפשׁי and in my mind: H6213 יעשׂה shall do H1129 ובניתי and I will build H1004 לו בית house; H539 נאמן him a sure H1980 והתהלך and he shall walk H6440 לפני before H4899 משׁיחי mine anointed H3605 כל forever. H3117 הימים׃ forever.
  36 H1961 והיה And it shall come to pass, H3605 כל every one H3498 הנותר that is left H1004 בביתך in thine house H935 יבוא shall come H7812 להשׁתחות crouch H95 לו לאגורת to him for a piece H3701 כסף of silver H3603 וככר and a morsel H3899 לחם of bread, H559 ואמר and shall say, H5596 ספחני Put H4994 נא me, I pray thee, H413 אל into H259 אחת one H3550 הכהנות of the priests' offices, H398 לאכל that I may eat H6595 פת a piece H3899 לחם׃ of bread.
