15 H3117 In those days H7200 [H8804] I saw H3063 in Judah H1869 [H8802] some treading H1660 wine presses H7676 on the sabbath, H935 [H8688] and bringing in H6194 sheaves, H6006 [H8802] and loading them on H2543 donkeys; H3196 as also wine, H6025 grapes, H8384 and figs, H4853 and all manner of burdens, H935 [H8688] which they brought H3389 into Jerusalem H7676 on the sabbath H3117 day: H5749 [H8686] and I testified H3117 against them in the day H4376 [H8800] when they sold H6718 food.
16 H3427 [H8804] There dwelt H6876 men of Tyre H935 [H8688] also in the city, who brought H1709 H1709 [H8675] fish, H4377 and all kinds of wares, H4376 [H8802] and sold H7676 on the sabbath H1121 to the sons H3063 of Judah, H3389 and in Jerusalem.
17 H7378 [H8799] Then I contended H2715 with the nobles H3063 of Judah, H559 [H8799] and said H7451 to them, What evil H1697 thing H6213 [H8802] is this that ye do, H2490 [H8764] and profane H7676 the sabbath H3117 day?
18 H6213 [H8804] Did H1 not your fathers H935 0 thus, and did H430 not our God H935 [H8686] bring H7451 all this evil H5892 upon us, and upon this city? H935 [H8686] yet ye bring H3254 [H8688] more H2740 burning anger H3478 upon Israel H2490 [H8763] by profaning H7676 the sabbath.
19 H8179 And it came to pass, that when the gates H3389 of Jerusalem H6751 [H8804] began to be dark H6440 at the face of H7676 the sabbath, H559 [H8799] I commanded H1817 that the gates H5462 [H8735] should be shut, H559 [H8799] and charged H6605 [H8799] that they should not be opened H310 till after H7676 the sabbath: H5975 [H8689] and I set H5288 some of my servants H8179 at the gates, H4853 that there should no burden H935 [H8799] be brought in H7676 on the sabbath H3117 day.
  20 H7402 [H8802] So the merchants H4376 [H8802] and sellers H4465 of all kind of wares H3885 [H8799] lodged H2351 outside of H3389 Jerusalem H6471 once H8147 or twice.
21 H5749 [H8686] Then I testified H559 [H8799] against them, and said H3885 [H8801] to them, Why lodge H5048 ye before H2346 the wall? H8138 [H8799] if ye do so again, H7971 [H8799] I will lay H3027 hands H6256 on you. From that time H935 [H8804] forth they came H7676 no more on the sabbath.
22 H559 [H8799] And I commanded H3881 the Levites H2891 [H8693] that they should cleanse H935 [H8802] themselves, and that they should come H8104 [H8802] and keep H8179 the gates, H6942 [H8763] to sanctify H7676 the sabbath H3117 day. H2142 [H8798] Remember H430 me, O my God, H2347 [H8798] concerning this also, and spare H7230 me according to the abundance H2617 of thy mercy.

And I charged them that they should sell on a day on which it was lawful to sell. 16 Some Tyrians also dwelt there, who brought fish, and all manner of wares: and they sold them on the sabbaths to the children of Juda in Jerusalem. 17 And I rebuked the chief men of Juda, and said to them: What is this evil thing that you are doing, profaning the sabbath day: 18 Did not our fathers do these things, and our God brought all this evil upon us, and upon this city? And you bring more wrath upon Israel by violating the sabbath. 19 And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem were at rest on the sabbath day, I spoke: and they shut the gates, and I commanded that they should not open them till after the sabbath: and I set some of my servants at the gates, that none should bring in burthens on the sabbath day. 20 So the merchants, and they that sold all kinds of wares, stayed without Jerusalem, once or twice. 21 And I charged them, and I said to them: Why stay you before the wall? if you do so another time, I will lay hands on you. And from that time they came no more on the sabbath. 22 I spoke also to the Levites that they should be purified, and should come to keep the gates, and to sanctify the sabbath day: for this also remember me, O my God, and spare me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.

Thomson(i) 15 In those days I saw in Juda some treading wine presses on the sabbath day, and some carrying sheaves, and loading their asses with wine and grapes and figs, and all kinds of burdens, and bringing them to Jerusalem on the sabbath day. Whereupon I testified against them, touching the day of their selling. 16 Some also dwelt there who brought fish, and sold all sorts of wares on the sabbath, to the children of Juda, even in Jerusalem. 17 Upon this I chided the freemen of Juda, and said to them, What evil is this which you do in profaning the sabbath? 18 Did not your fathers do so, and did not our God bring upon them and upon us, and upon this city, all these evils? And are you bringing more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath? 19 And when the gates of Jerusalem were set up, I ordered them to be shut before the sabbath, and gave a charge that they should not be opened till after the sabbath; and I stationed some of my servants at the gates that no burdens might be brought in on the sabbath day. 20 Upon this they all lodged and carried on their traffick without Jerusalem once or twice. 21 Then I testified against them and. said to them, Why do you lodge before the walls? If you do so any more I will lay hands on you. From that time they did not come on the sabbath. 22 Then I ordered the Levites who were sanctified and come to guard the gates, to keep holy the sabbath day. For these things remember me, my God, and have compassion on me according to thy abundant mercy.

Rotherham(i) 15 In those days, saw I in Judah––some treading winepresses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves and lading asses, moreover also wine, grapes, and figs, and every kind of burden, which they were bringing into Jerusalem on the sabbath day,––so I protested against it, as a day for them to sell provisions. 16 And, men of Tyre, dwelt therein, who were bringing in fish––and every kind of ware for sale,––and were selling, on the sabbath, to the sons of Judah, and in Jerusalem; 17 so I contended with the nobles of Judah,––and said unto them, What is this wicked thing which, ye, are doing, and profaning the sabbath day? 18 Was it not, thus, your fathers did, and our God brought upon us all this calamity, and upon this city?––and, ye, would add indignation against Israel, by profaning the sabbath! 19 And it came to pass, when the gates of Jerusalem made a shadow before the sabbath, then gave I word, and they shut the doors, and I gave word, that they should not open them, until after the sabbath,––and, some of my young men, set I near the gates, so that no burden should be brought in, on the sabbath day. 20 But the traders and sellers of all kinds of wares lodged outside Jerusalem once or twice. 21 Therefore I testified against them, and said unto them, Wherefore are ye lodging against the wall? if ye do it again, a hand, will I thrust upon you,––From that time, they came not on the sabbath. 22 And I gave word to the Levites, that they should be purifying themselves and coming in, as keepers of the gates, to hallow the sabbath day. From that time they did not come again on the Sabbath. 22 And I gave the Levites orders to make themselves clean and come and keep the doors and make the Sabbath holy. Keep this in mind to my credit, O my God, and have mercy on me, for great is your mercy.

Yet you bring more wrath on Israel by defiling the Sabbath. 19 And it happened, when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the Sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut, and commanded that they should not be opened until after the Sabbath. And I stationed some of my servants at the gates, so that there should be no burden brought in on the Sabbath day. 20 And the merchants and sellers of all the wares stayed the night outside Jerusalem once or twice. 21 Then I testified against them and said to them, Why are you staying around the wall? If you do it again, I will send a hand against you. From that time they did not come on the Sabbath. 22 And I commanded the Levites that they should be cleansing themselves, and they should come guarding the gates, to sanctify the Sabbath day. O my God, remember me for this also and spare me according to the greatness of Your mercy.
ECB(i) 15 In those days in Yah Hudah I see them treading wine presses on the shabbath - and bringing in heaps and lading he burros and also wine, grapes and figs and all the burdens they bring into Yeru Shalem on the shabbath day: and I witness the day they sell hunt: 16 and the Soriy settle therein bringing fish and all manner of price and sell on the shabbath to the sons of Yah Hudah and in Yeru Shalem. 17 And I contend with the nobles of Yah Hudah and say to them, What evil word is this that you work and profane the shabbath day? 18 Worked not your fathers thus and brought not our Elohim all this evil on us and on this city? And you add fuming on Yisra El by profaning the shabbath. 19 And so be it, the portals of Yeru Shalem begin to overshadow at the face of the shabbath, and I say to shut the gates and say to not open until after the shabbath: and I stand my lads at the portals, that no burden is brought in on the shabbath day. 20 And the merchants and sellers of all sales stay overnight outside Yeru Shalem one time or twice. 21 And I witness against them and say to them, Why stay you overnight opposite the wall? If you repeat, I spread hands on you. - from that time they come not on the shabbath. 22 And I say to the Leviym to purify and to come and guard the portals to hallow the shabbath day. Remember me, O my Elohim, this also; and spare me according to the greatness of your mercy.

And do you bring additional wrath upon Israel by profaning the Sabbath? 19 And it came to pass, when the gates were set up in Jerusalem, before the Sabbath, that I spoke, and they shut the gates; and I gave orders that they should not be opened till after the Sabbath. NSB(i) 15 In those days, I saw in Judah some who were crushing grapes on the Sabbath, and harvesting grain and putting it on Asses; as well as wine and grapes and figs and all sorts of goods that they took into Jerusalem on the Sabbath day. I gave witness against them on the day when they were marketing food. 16 There were men of Tyre there. They came with fish and all sorts of goods, trading with the children of Judah and in Jerusalem on the Sabbath. 17 Then I made protests to the chiefs of Judah, and said to them: »What is this evil you are doing, not keeping the Sabbath day holy? 18 »Did not your fathers do the same, and did not our God send all this evil on us and on this town? You are causing more anger to come on Israel by not keeping the Sabbath holy.« 19 When the streets of Jerusalem were getting dark before the Sabbath, I gave orders for the gate to be shut and not to be open again until after the Sabbath. I put some of my servants by the gate so that nothing might be taken in on the Sabbath day. 20 So the traders in all sorts of goods took their night's rest outside Jerusalem once or twice. 21 Then I gave witness against them and said: »Why are you waiting all night by the wall? If you do so again I will have you taken prisoners.« From that time they did not come again on the Sabbath. 22 I gave the Levites orders to make themselves clean and come and keep the gates and make the Sabbath holy. »Keep this in mind to my credit, O my God, and have mercy on me, for great is your mercy.«
ISV(i) 15 Prohibiting Work on the SabbathAt that time I saw in Judah some who were treading wine presses on the Sabbath, bringing in sacks of grain, loading them onto donkeys, along with wine, grapes, figs, and all kinds of loads. They brought them into Jerusalem on the Sabbath day. So I rebuked them on the day on which they were selling food. 16 Furthermore, Tyrians were living there who were importing fish and all kinds of merchandise, selling them to the people of Judah on the Sabbath, even in Jerusalem.
17 I rebuked the officials of Judah, saying to them, “What’s this evil thing that you’re doing by profaning the Sabbath day? 18 Didn’t your ancestors do the same? And didn’t our God bring on us and on this city all of this trouble? Now you’re adding to the wrath against Israel by profaning the Sabbath!”
19 As the Sabbath approached and it began to get dark at the gates of Jerusalem, I gave word to shut the gates, charging that they should not be opened until after the Sabbath. I stationed some of my men at the gates to ensure that no loads would be brought in on the Sabbath day. 20 As a result, the merchants and sellers of all sorts of goods remained outside Jerusalem a couple of times. 21 I argued with them, “Why are you staying outside the wall? If you do this again, I’ll arrest you.” From that time on, they didn’t come anymore on the Sabbath. 22 Then I commanded the descendants of Levi to purify themselves and to come as gate keepers to sanctify the Sabbath day.
Remember me, my God, and show mercy to me according to the greatness of your gracious love.
LEB(i) 15 In those days I saw in Judah people treading the wine press on the Sabbath, bringing in heaps of grain and loading them on donkeys along with wine, grapes and figs, and every kind of burden and bringing it all to Jerusalem on the day of the Sabbath. And I warned them at that time against selling food. 16 Tyrian men who lived in Jerusalem brought fish and every kind of merchandise and sold it on the Sabbath to the descendants* of Judah and in Jerusalem. 17 So I quarreled with the nobles of Judah and said to them, "What is this evil thing that you are doing, profaning the day of the Sabbath? 18 Did not your ancestors* do this also, and our God brought on us all of this disaster and on this city too? Now you are adding fierce wrath on Israel by profaning the Sabbath!" 19 So when it became dark at the gates of Jerusalem before the Sabbath, I commanded that the doors be shut and said that they should not be opened until after the Sabbath. And I appointed some of my young men over the gates to prevent any goods* being brought in on the day of the Sabbath. 20 So the merchants and the sellers of merchandise spent the night outside of Jerusalem once or twice. 21 But I warned them and said to them, "Why are you spending the night opposite the wall? If you do it again, I will lay hands against you." From that time on they did not come on the Sabbath. 22 And then I told two Levites that they must purify themselves and come to guard the gates in order to consecrate the day of the Sabbath. Remember this also, my God, and take pity on me according to the greatness of your loyal love.

And now you are rekindling His wrath against Israel by profaning the Sabbath!” 19 When the evening shadows began to fall on the gates of Jerusalem, just before the Sabbath, I ordered that the gates be shut and not opened until after the Sabbath. I posted some of my servants at the gates so that no load could enter on the Sabbath day. 20 Once or twice, the merchants and those who sell all kinds of goods camped outside Jerusalem, 21 but I warned them, “Why are you camping in front of the wall? If you do it again, I will lay hands on you.” From that time on, they did not return on the Sabbath. 22 Then I instructed the Levites to purify themselves and guard the gates in order to keep the Sabbath day holy. Remember me for this as well, O my God, and show me mercy according to Your abundant loving devotion.

MLV(i) 15 In those days I saw in Judah some men treading wine-presses on the Sabbath and bringing in sheaves and loading donkeys on them, as also wine, grapes and figs and all manner of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the Sabbath day. And I testified against them in the day in which they sold foods.
16 There dwelt men of Tyre also in it who brought in fish and all manner of wares and sold on the Sabbath to the sons of Judah and in Jerusalem.
17 Then I contended with the ranking men of Judah and said to them, What evil thing is this that you* do and profane the Sabbath day? 18 Did not your* fathers thus and did not our God bring all this evil upon us and upon this city? Yet you* bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the Sabbath.
19 And it happened that, when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the Sabbath, I commanded that the doors should be shut and commanded that they should not be opened till after the Sabbath. And I set some of my servants over the gates that there should be no burden brought in on the Sabbath day.
20 So the merchants and sellers of all kind of wares lodged outside Jerusalem once or twice. 21 Then I testified against them and said to them, Why do you* lodge outside the wall? If you* do so again, I will lay hands on you*. From that time forth they came no more on the Sabbath.
22 And I commanded the Levites that they should purify themselves and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the Sabbath day. Remember to me, O my God, this also and spare me according to the greatness of your loving kindness.
VIN(i) 15 In those days, saw I in Judah—some treading winepresses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves and lading asses, moreover also wine, grapes, and figs, and every kind of burden, which they were bringing into Jerusalem on the sabbath day,—so I protested against it, as a day for them to sell provisions. 16 Furthermore, Tyrians were living there who were importing fish and all kinds of merchandise, selling them to the people of Judah on the Sabbath, even in Jerusalem. 19 When the streets of Jerusalem were getting dark before the Sabbath, I gave orders for the gate to be shut and not to be open again until after the Sabbath. I put some of my servants by the gate so that nothing might be taken in on the Sabbath day. 20 And the merchants and sellers of all kinds of goods stayed the night outside Jerusalem once or twice. 21 But I warned them and said to them, "Why are you spending the night opposite the wall? If you do it again, I will lay hands against you."

20 Protož zůstali kupci a prodavači všelijakých věcí prodajných vně před Jeruzalémem, jednou i podruhé.

Si nou fè sa ankò, m'ap fè mete men sou nou.

Nuo to laiko jie nebeateidavo sabate.
Uczynicieli to więcej, ściągnę rękę na was.
18 Var det ikke fordi eders fedre gjorde således at vår Gud førte all denne ulykke over oss og over denne by?
