Mark 5:1-20

  1 G2532 And G2064 they came over [G5627]   G1519 unto G4008 the other side G2281 of the sea G1519 , into G5561 the country G1046 of the Gadarenes.

  2 G2532 And G846 when he G1831 was come [G5631]   G1537 out of G4143 the ship G2112 , immediately G528 there met [G5656]   G846 him G1537 out of G3419 the tombs G444 a man G1722 with G169 an unclean G4151 spirit,

  3 G3739 Who G2192 had [G5707]   G2731 his dwelling G1722 among G3419 the tombs G2532 ; and G3762 no man G1410 could [G5711]   G1210 bind [G5658]   G846 him G3777 , no, not G254 with chains:

  4 G1223 Because G846 that he G4178 had been often G1210 bound [G5771]   G3976 with fetters G2532 and G254 chains G2532 , and G254 the chains G1288 had been plucked asunder [G5771]   G5259 by G846 him G2532 , and G3976 the fetters G4937 broken in pieces [G5771]   G2532 : neither G2480 could [G5707]   G1150 any man tame [G5658]   G846 him G3762  .

  5 G2532 And G1275 always G3571 , night G2532 and G2250 day G2258 , he was [G5713]   G1722 in G3735 the mountains G2532 , and G1722 in G3418 the tombs G2896 , crying [G5723]   G2532 , and G2629 cutting [G5723]   G1438 himself G3037 with stones.

  6 G1161 But G1492 when he saw [G5631]   G2424 Jesus G575 afar off G3113   G5143 , he ran [G5627]   G2532 and G4352 worshipped [G5656]   G846 him,

  7 G2532 And G2896 cried [G5660]   G3173 with a loud G5456 voice G2036 , and said [G5627]   G5101 , What G1698 have I G2532 to do G4671 with thee G2424 , Jesus G5207 , thou Son G5310 of the most high G2316 God G3726 ? I adjure [G5719]   G4571 thee G2316 by God G928 , that thou torment [G5661]   G3165 me G3361 not.

  8 G1063 For G3004 he said [G5707]   G846 unto him G1831 , Come [G5628]   G1537 out of G444 the man G169 , thou unclean G4151 spirit.

  9 G2532 And G1905 he asked [G5707]   G846 him G5101 , What G4671 is thy G3686 name G2532 ? And G611 he answered [G5662]   G3004 , saying [G5723]   G3427 , My G3686 name G3003 is Legion G3754 : for G2070 we are [G5748]   G4183 many.

  10 G2532 And G3870 he besought [G5707]   G846 him G4183 much G3363 that G649 he would G3363 not G649 send G846 them G649 away [G5661]   G1854 out of G5561 the country.

  11 G1161 Now G2258 there was [G5713]   G1563 there G4314 nigh G3735 unto the mountains G3173 a great G34 herd G5519 of swine G1006 feeding [G5746]  .

  12 G2532 And G3956 all G1142 the devils G3870 besought [G5656]   G846 him G3004 , saying [G5723]   G3992 , Send [G5657]   G2248 us G1519 into G5519 the swine G2443 , that G1525 we may enter [G5632]   G1519 into G846 them.

  13 G2532 And G2112 forthwith G2424 Jesus G2010 gave G846 them G2010 leave [G5656]   G2532 . And G169 the unclean G4151 spirits G1831 went out [G5631]   G1525 , and entered [G5627]   G1519 into G5519 the swine G2532 : and G34 the herd G3729 ran [G5656]   G2596 violently down G2911 a steep place G1519 into G2281 the sea G1161 , G2258 (they were [G5713]   G5613 about G1367 two thousand G2532 ;) and G4155 were choked [G5712]   G1722 in G2281 the sea.

  14 G1161 And G1006 they that fed [G5723]   G5519 the swine G5343 fled [G5627]   G2532 , and G312 told [G5656]   G1519 it in G4172 the city G2532 , and G1519 in G68 the country G2532 . And G1831 they went out [G5627]   G1492 to see [G5629]   G5101 what G2076 it was [G5748]   G1096 that was done [G5756]  .

  15 G2532 And G2064 they come [G5736]   G4314 to G2424 Jesus G2532 , and G2334 see [G5719]   G1139 him that was possessed with the devil [G5740]   G2192 , and had [G5761]   G3003 the legion G2521 , sitting [G5740]   G2532 , and G2439 clothed [G5772]   G2532 , and G4993 in his right mind [G5723]   G2532 : and G5399 they were afraid [G5675]  .

  16 G2532 And G1492 they that saw [G5631]   G1334 it told [G5662]   G846 them G4459 how G1096 it befell [G5633]   G1139 to him that was possessed with the devil [G5740]   G2532 , and G4012 also concerning G5519 the swine.

  17 G2532 And G756 they began [G5662]   G3870 to pray [G5721]   G846 him G565 to depart [G5629]   G575 out of G846 their G3725 coasts.

  18 G2532 And G846 when he G1684 was come [G5631]   G1519 into G4143 the ship G1139 , he that had been possessed with the devil [G5679]   G3870 prayed [G5707]   G846 him G2443 that G5600 he might be [G5753]   G3326 with G846 him.

  19 G1161 Howbeit G2424 Jesus G863 suffered [G5656]   G846 him G3756 not G235 , but G3004 saith [G5719]   G846 unto him G5217 , Go [G5720]   G1519 home G3624   G4675   G4314 to G4674 thy friends G2532 , and G312 tell [G5657]   G846 them G3745 how great things G2962 the Lord G4160 hath done [G5656]   G4671 for thee G2532 , and G1653 hath had compassion [G5656]   G4571 on thee.

  20 G2532 And G565 he departed [G5627]   G2532 , and G756 began [G5662]   G2784 to publish [G5721]   G1722 in G1179 Decapolis G3745 how great things G2424 Jesus G4160 had done [G5656]   G846 for him G2532 : and G3956 all G2296 men did marvel [G5707]  .
