  1 H3068 O LORD, H430 thou art my God; H7311 [H8787] I will exalt H3034 [H8686] thee, I will praise H8034 thy name; H6213 [H8804] for thou hast done H6382 wonderful H6098 things; thy counsels H7350 of old H530 are faithfulness H544 and truth.
  2 H7760 [H8804] For thou hast made H5892 of a city H1530 an heap; H1219 [H8803] of a fortified H7151 city H4654 a ruin: H759 a palace H2114 [H8801] of strangers H5892 to be no city; H5769 it shall never H1129 [H8735] be built.
3 H5794 Therefore shall the strong H5971 people H3513 [H8762] glorify H7151 thee, the city H6184 of the terrible H1471 nations H3372 [H8799] shall fear thee.
4 H4581 For thou hast been a defence H1800 to the poor, H4581 a defence H34 to the needy H6862 in his distress, H4268 a refuge H2230 from the storm, H6738 a shade H2721 from the dry heat, H7307 when the blast H6184 of the terrible ones H2230 is as a storm H7023 against the wall.
5 H3665 [H8686] Thou shalt bring down H7588 the noise H2114 [H8801] of strangers, H2721 as the dry heat H6724 in a dry place; H2721 even the dry heat H6738 with the shadow H5645 of a cloud: H2159 the branch H6184 of the terrible ones H6030 [H8799] shall be brought low.
6 H2022 And on this mountain H3068 shall the LORD H6635 of hosts H6213 [H8804] make H5971 to all people H4960 a feast H8081 of rich things, H4960 a feast H8105 of wines on the lees, H8081 of rich things H4229 [H8794] full of marrow, H8105 of wines on the lees H2212 [H8794] well refined.
7 H1104 [H8765] And he will swallow up H2022 on this mountain H6440 the face H3875 of the covering H3874 [H8802] cast over H5971 all people, H4541 and the veil H5259 [H8803] that is spread H1471 over all nations.
8 H1104 [H8765] He will swallow up H4194 death H5331 in victory; H136 and the Sovereign H3069 LORD H4229 [H8804] will wipe away H1832 tears H6440 from off all faces; H2781 and the rebuke H5971 of his people H5493 [H8686] shall he remove H776 from all the earth: H3068 for the LORD H1696 [H8765] hath spoken it.
9 H559 [H8804] And it shall be said H3117 in that day, H430 Lo, this is our God; H6960 [H8765] we have waited H3467 [H8686] for him, and he will liberate H3068 us: this is the LORD; H6960 [H8765] we have waited H1523 [H8799] for him, we will be glad H8055 [H8799] and rejoice H3444 in his salvation.
10 H2022 For on this mountain H3027 shall the hand H3068 of the LORD H5117 [H8799] rest, H4124 and Moab H1758 [H8736] shall be trodden down H4963 under him, even as straw H1758 [H8738] is trodden down H1119 H4087 H4325 [H8675] for the dunghill.
11 H6566 [H8765] And he shall spread forth H3027 his hands H7130 in the midst H7811 [H8802] of them, as he that swimmeth H6566 [H8762] spreadeth forth H7811 [H8800] his hands to swim: H8213 [H8689] and he shall bring down H1346 their pride H698 together with the spoils H3027 of their hands.
12 H4013 And the fortress H4869 of the high fort H2346 of thy walls H7817 [H8689] shall he bring down, H8213 [H8689] lay low, H5060 [H8689] and bring H776 to the earth, H6083 even to the dust.

3 H5794 Therefore shall the strong H5971 people H3513 glorify [H8762]   H7151 thee, the city H6184 of the terrible H1471 nations H3372 shall fear [H8799]   thee.
4 H4581 For thou hast been a strength H1800 to the poor H4581 , a strength H34 to the needy H6862 in his distress H4268 , a refuge H2230 from the storm H6738 , a shadow H2721 from the heat H7307 , when the blast H6184 of the terrible ones H2230 is as a storm H7023 against the wall.
5 H3665 Thou shalt bring down [H8686]   H7588 the noise H2114 of strangers [H8801]   H2721 , as the heat H6724 in a dry place H2721 ; even the heat H6738 with the shadow H5645 of a cloud H2159 : the branch H6184 of the terrible ones H6030 shall be brought low [H8799]  .
6 H2022 And in this mountain H3068 shall the LORD H6635 of hosts H6213 make [H8804]   H5971 unto all people H4960 a feast H8081 of fat things H4960 , a feast H8105 of wines on the lees H8081 , of fat things H4229 full of marrow [H8794]   H8105 , of wines on the lees H2212 well refined [H8794]  .
7 H1104 And he will destroy [H8765]   H2022 in this mountain H6440 the face H3875 of the covering H3874 cast over [H8802]   H5971 all people H4541 , and the vail H5259 that is spread [H8803]   H1471 over all nations.
8 H1104 He will swallow up [H8765]   H4194 death H5331 in victory H136 ; and the Lord H3069 GOD H4229 will wipe away [H8804]   H1832 tears H6440 from off all faces H2781 ; and the rebuke H5971 of his people H5493 shall he take away [H8686]   H776 from off all the earth H3068 : for the LORD H1696 hath spoken [H8765]   it .
9 H559 And it shall be said [H8804]   H3117 in that day H430 , Lo, this is our God H6960 ; we have waited [H8765]   H3467 for him, and he will save [H8686]   H3068 us: this is the LORD H6960 ; we have waited [H8765]   H1523 for him, we will be glad [H8799]   H8055 and rejoice [H8799]   H3444 in his salvation.
10 H2022 For in this mountain H3027 shall the hand H3068 of the LORD H5117 rest [H8799]   H4124 , and Moab H1758 shall be trodden down [H8736]   H4963 under him, even as straw H1758 is trodden down [H8738]   H1119 for the dunghill H4087   [H8675]   H4325  .
11 H6566 And he shall spread forth [H8765]   H3027 his hands H7130 in the midst H7811 of them, as he that swimmeth [H8802]   H6566 spreadeth forth [H8762]   H7811 his hands to swim [H8800]   H8213 : and he shall bring down [H8689]   H1346 their pride H698 together with the spoils H3027 of their hands.
12 H4013 And the fortress H4869 of the high fort H2346 of thy walls H7817 shall he bring down [H8689]   H8213 , lay low [H8689]   H5060 , and bring [H8689]   H776 to the ground H6083 , even to the dust.
Thomson(i) 1 O Lord God, thee I will glorify: in songs of praise I will extol thy name. For thou hast executed wonderful things, a counsel of old immutably true. 2 Because thou hast reduced cities to a heap of ruins; cities made strong, that their foundations might not fall; [a city of wicked men cannot be built to last forever] 3 therefore the distressed people will bless thee and the cities of injured men will give thee thanks; 4 for thou hast been the support of every humble city and the defence of them who were dispirited; by reason of their weakness. From wicked men thou will deliver them. Thou art the support of the thirsty and the breath of men in distress. 5 [p] When dispirited men shall be thirsting in Sion on account of wicked men to whom thou hast delivered us up; 6 then will the Lord of Hosts make provision for all the nations. On this mount they shall drink gladness: 7 they shall drink wine and be anointed with myrrh on this mount. Hand down all these things to the nations for this counsel is for all the nations. 8 Mighty death had swallowed up; but the Lord God hath again wiped every tear from every face; and removed from the whole earth the reproach of this people. For the mouth of the Lord hath spoken. 9 And in that day they will say, "Behold our God in whom we trusted, will indeed save us. He is the Lord, for him we waited and exulted; let us therefore rejoice in our salvation. 10 God will give rest on this mountain." When the country of Moab shall be trodden down, as a threshing floor is trampled with cars 11 and he shall cause his hands to relax, as he indeed humbled him to be slain, and shall humble his pride; those things on which he hath laid his hands, 12 and shall lower the height of his wall of refuge; and it shall be laid low in the dust: in that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judea.

So be it. 2 For thou hast made cities a heap, even cities made strong that their foundations should not fall: the city of ungodly men shall not be built for ever. 3 Therefore shall the poor people bless thee, and cities of injured men shall bless thee. 4 For thou hast been a helper to every lowly city, and a shelter to them that were disheartened by reason of poverty: thou shalt deliver them from wicked men: thou hast been a shelter of them that thirst, and a refreshing air to injured men. 5 We were as faint-hearted men thirsting in Sion, by reason of ungodly men to whom thou didst deliver us. 6 And the Lord of hosts shall make a feast for all the nations: on this mount they shall drink gladness, they shall drink wine: 7 they shall anoint themselves with ointment in this mountain. Impart thou all these things to the nations; for this is God's counsel upon all the nations. 8 Death has prevailed and swallowed men up; but again the Lord God has taken away every tear from every face. He has taken away the reproach of his people from all the earth: for the mouth off the Lord has spoken it. 9 And in that day they shall say, behold our God in whom we have trusted, and he shall save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, and we have exulted, and will rejoice in our salvation. 10 God will give rest on this mountain, and the country of Moab shall be trodden down, as they tread the floor with waggons. 11 And he shall spread forth his hands, even as he also brings down man to destroy him: and he shall bring low his pride in regard to the thing on which he has laid his hands. 12 And he shall bring down the height of the refuge of the wall, and it shall come down even to the ground.

Leeser(i) 1 O Lord, my God art thou; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things, resolves of distant times are become faithful confirmation. 2 For thou hast made of a city a stone-heap; of a fortified town a falling ruin; the palace of barbarians ceaseth out of the city, to eternity shall it not be rebuilt. 3 Therefore shall a strong people honor thee; the town of the tyrannical nations shall fear thee. 4 For thou hast become a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy when he is distressed; a protection from the tempest, a shadow from the heat; for the wrathful breath of the tyrants is like the tempest against a wall. 5 Like heat in a dry land, wilt thou subdue the tumult of the barbarians; as the heat is lessened by the shadow of the cloud, so will he subdue the song of the tyrants. 6 And the Lord of hosts will make unto all the nations on this mountain a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined. 7 And he will destroy on this mountain the face of the covering which covereth all the people, and the vail that is spread over all the nations. 8 He will destroy death to eternity: and the Lord Eternal will wipe away the tear from off all faces; and the shame of his people will he remove from off all the earth; for the Lord hath spoken it. 9 And men will say on that day, Lo, this is our God, for whom we have waited that he would help us; this is the Lord for whom we have waited, we will be glad and we will rejoice in his salvation. 10 For the hand of the Lord will rest on this mountain, and Moab shall be trodden down on his own place, even as straw is trodden down upon the dunghill. 11 And he will spread forth his hands in the midst thereof, as the swimmer spreadeth them forth to swim: and he will bring down his pride together with the joints of his hands. 12 And the fortress of the stronghold of thy walls he bringeth down, layeth low, casteth it to the ground, even to the dust.
YLT(i) 1 O Jehovah, my God art Thou, I exalt Thee, I confess Thy name, For Thou hast done a wonderful thing, Counsels of old, stedfastness, O stedfast One. 2 For Thou didst make of a city a heap, Of a fenced city a ruin, A high place of strangers from being a city, To the age it is not built. 3 Therefore honour Thee do a strong people, A city of the terrible nations feareth Thee. 4 For Thou hast been a stronghold for the poor, A stronghold for the needy in his distress, A refuge from storm, a shadow from heat, When the spirit of the terrible is as a storm—a wall. 5 As heat in a dry place, The noise of strangers Thou humblest, Heat with the shadow of a thick cloud, The singing of the terrible is humbled.
6 And made hath Jehovah of Hosts, For all the peoples in this mount, A banquet of fat things, a banquet of preserved things, Fat things full of marrow, preserved things refined. 7 And swallowed up hath He in this mountain The face of the wrapping that is wrapped over all the peoples, And of the covering that is spread over all the nations. 8 He hath swallowed up death in victory, And wiped hath the Lord Jehovah, The tear from off all faces, And the reproach of His people He turneth aside from off all the earth, For Jehovah hath spoken.
9 And one hath said in that day, `Lo, this is our God, We waited for Him, and He saveth us, This is Jehovah, we have waited for Him, We joy and rejoice in His salvation.' 10 For rest doth the hand of Jehovah on this mountain, And trodden down is Moab under Him, As trodden down is straw on a dunghill. 11 And he spread out his hands in its midst, As spread out doth the swimmer to swim; And He hath humbled his excellency With the machinations of his hands. 12 And the fortress of the high place of thy walls He hath bowed down—He hath made low, He hath caused it to come to the earth, —unto dust.
JuliaSmith(i) 1 O Jehovah, thou my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name, for thou didst a wonder; counsels from far off, stability, faithfulness. 2 For thou didst set from a city to a heap, a fortified city to ruins: a palace of strangers from a city; it shall not be built forever. 3 For this shall the strong people honor thee, the city of terrible nations shall fear thee. 4 For thou wert a fortress to the poor, a fortress to the needy in straits; to him a refuge from the inundation, a shadow from the heat when the wind of the terrible ones as the inundation of the wall. 5 As the heat in Zion the noise of strangers thou shalt bring down; the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the song of the terrible shall be humbled. 6 Jehovah of armies will make to all peoples in this mountain a drinking of fatness, a drinking of lees of wine, fatness of marrows, strained lees of wine. 7 And he will swallow up in this mountain the face of the covering covered over all peoples, and the veil covered over all nations. 8 He swallowed up death for glory, the Lord Jehovah will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the reproach of his people he will remove from off all the earth, for Jehovah spake. 9 And it was said in that day, Behold, this our God, we hoped for him, and he will save us: this Jehovah, we hoped for him, we will rejoice and be glad in his salvation. 10 For the hand of Jehovah shall rest in this mountain, and Moab was thrust down under him as straw was thrust down in the water of the dunghill. 11 And he spread forth his hands in their midst, as he swimming will spread forth to swim: and he humbled their pride with the ambuscades of their hands. 12 And the fortress of the height of thy walls shall be brought low; be humbled, be struck to the earth, even to the dust.

5 H2721 As the heat H6724 in a dry place H3665 wilt thou bring down H7588 the noise H2114 of strangers; H2721 as the heat H6738 by the shade H5645 of a cloud, H2159 the song H6184 of the terrible ones H6030 shall be brought low.
6 H2022 And in this mountain H3068 will Jehovah H6635 of hosts H6213 make H5971 unto all peoples H4960 a feast H8081 of fat things, H4960 a feast H8105 of wines on the lees, H8081 of fat things H4229 full of marrow, H8105 of wines on the lees H2212 well refined.
7 H1104 And he will destroy H2022 in this mountain H6440 the face H3875 of the covering H3874 that covereth H5971 all peoples, H4541 and the veil H5259 that is spread H1471 over all nations.
8 H1104 He hath swallowed up H4194 death H5331 for ever; H136 and the Lord H3069 Jehovah H4229 will wipe away H1832 tears H6440 from off all faces; H2781 and the reproach H5971 of his people H5493 will he take away H776 from off all the earth: H3068 for Jehovah H1696 hath spoken it.
9 H559 And it shall be said H3117 in that day, H430 Lo, this is our God; H6960 we have waited H3467 for him, and he will save H3068 us: this is Jehovah; H6960 we have waited H1523 for him, we will be glad H8055 and rejoice H3444 in his salvation.
10 H2022 For in this mountain H3027 will the hand H3068 of Jehovah H5117 rest; H4124 and Moab H1758 shall be trodden down H4963 in his place, even as straw H1758 is trodden down H4087 in the water of the dunghill.
11 H6566 And he shall spread forth H3027 his hands H7130 in the midst H7811 thereof, as he that swimmeth H6566 spreadeth forth H7811 his hands to swim; H8213 but Jehovah will lay low H1346 his pride H698 together with the craft H3027 of his hands.
12 H4869 And the high H4013 fortress H2346 of thy walls H7817 hath he brought down, H8213 laid low, H5060 and brought H776 to the ground, H6083 even to the dust.
JPS_ASV_Byz(i) 1 O LORD, Thou art my God, I will exalt Thee, I will praise Thy name, for Thou hast done wonderful things; even counsels of old, in faithfulness and truth. 2 For Thou hast made of a city a heap, of a fortified city a ruin; a castle of strangers to be no city, it shall never be built. 3 Therefore shall the strong people glorify Thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear Thee. 4 For Thou hast been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat; for the blast of the terrible ones was as a storm against the wall. 5 As the heat in a dry place, Thou didst subdue the noise of strangers; as the heat by the shadow of a cloud, the song of the terrible ones was brought low. 6 And in this mountain will the LORD of hosts make unto all peoples a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined. 7 And He will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering that is cast over all peoples, and the veil that is spread over all nations. 8 He will swallow up death for ever; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the reproach of His people will He take away from off all the earth; for the LORD hath spoken it. 9 And it shall be said in that day: 'Lo, this is our God, for whom we waited, that He might save us; this is the LORD, for whom we waited, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.' 10 For in this mountain will the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down in his place, even as straw is trodden down in the dunghill. 11 And when he shall spread forth his hands in the midst thereof, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim, his pride shall be brought down together with the cunning of his hands. 12 And the high fortress of thy walls will He bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.
Rotherham(i) 1 O Yahweh! my God, thou art, I will exalt thee, I will praise thy Name, For thou hast done a wonderful thing,––Purposes of long ago, Faithfulness in truth. 2 For thou hast made, of a citadel, a mound, of a defenced city, a ruin,––palaces for foreigners, to be no city, To times age–abiding, shall it not be built. 3 For this cause, shall glorify thee––a strong people, The city of tyrannous nations, shall revere thee; 4 For thou didst become, A refuge to the weak, A refuge to the needy, when distress was upon him,––A shelter from the storm, A shade from the heat, When the blast of tyrants was like a storm against a wall. 5 As heat in a desert, the pomp of foreigners, wilt thou subdue,––Heat––with the shade of a cloud, The song of tyrants, become low.
6 Then will Yahweh of hosts prepare, for all the peoples, in this mountain, A banquet of fat things, A banquet of old wines,––Of fat things full of marrow, Of old wines well refined; 7 And he will swallow up, in this mountain, The mask of the veil, the veil that is upon all the peoples,––And the web that is woven over all the nations. 8 Having swallowed up death itself victoriously, My Lord, Yahweh, will wipe away, tears from off all faces,––And, the reproach of his own people, will he remove from off all the earth, For, Yahweh, hath spoken.
9 So shall it be said, in that day, Lo! our God, is this! We waited for him, that he might save us,––This, is Yahweh! We waited for him, Let us exult and rejoice, in his salvation. 10 For the hand of Yahweh will settle down in this mountain,––Then shall Moab be trodden down in its place, Like the treading down of a strawheap in the water of a dunghill; 11 Should he spread forth his hands in the midst thereof, As a swimmer spreadeth forth to swim, Then would be laid low his pride, together with the devices of his hands. 12 Yea, the lofty stronghold of thy walls, Hath he brought down––Laid low––Levelled to the ground, even unto the dust.
Ottley(i) 1 A Song. ¶ O Lord my God, I will glorify thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things, a. counsel ancient and true. Amen, O Lord. 2 For thou hast laid cities in a dust heap, strong cities, that their foundations should fall; the city of the wicked shall not be built, for ever. 3 Therefore shall the people that is poor praise thee, and cities of men that suffer wrong shall bless thee. 4 For thou art become a helper to every humble city, and a shelter to them that despair, for want; from evil men shalt thou rescue them—a shelter for the thirsty, and a breath of men that suffer wrong [shall bless thee], 5 As men faint hearted, thirsting in Zion,—from wicked men, to whom thou gavest us over. 6 And the Lorp of hosts shall do (it) for all the nations; upon this mountain shall they drink gladness, they shall drink wine. 7 They shall anoint themselves with myrrh in this mountain. Give over all this to the nations; for this counsel is against all the nations. 8 Death was strong, and swallowed them up; and again God hath taken away every tear from every face; he hath taken away the shame of the people from all the earth, for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken. 9 And they shall say in that day, Behold our God, in whom we ever hoped; and we were triumphant, and will rejoice in our salvation. 10 For God will give us rest upon this mountain, and the land of Moab shall be trodden down, like as they tread a threshing floor in wagons. 11 And he will let go his hands, like as he himself also humbled him to destroy him; and he shall humble his pride, whereto he laid his hands. 12 And the height of the refuge of thy wall shall be humble, and it shall come down, even unto the ground.
CLV(i) 1 Yahweh, my Elohim are You! I will exalt You by acclaiming Your name! For You make a marvel, counsels from afar that are faithful. Amen!" 2 For you make of a city, a mound, a fortress town into a fallen heap, a citadel of the arrogant to be no city any more. It shall not be rebuilt for an eon." 3 Therefore a humble people shall glorify You. A town of terrifying nations shall fear You. 4 For You do become a stronghold for the poor, a stronghold for the needy one in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the drought, for the spirit of the terrifier is as a storm against a side wall." 5 As drought in an arid place, the tumult of the arrogant are You quelling. As drought in the shadow of a thick cloud, the psalm of the terrifier is He humbling." 6 And Yahweh of hosts makes for all peoples, in this mountain, a feast of oils, a feast of lees, of oils from marrows, of filtered lees." 7 And He swallows up on this mountain the face wrap wrapped over all the peoples, and the blanket blanketing all the nations." 8 He swallows up death permanently. And my Lord Yahweh will wipe every tear off of all faces, and the reproach of His people will He take away off all the earth, for the mouth of Yahweh speaks." 9 And they will say in that day, "Behold! This is Yahweh, our Elohim. We expected Him, and He will save us! This is Yahweh! We expected Him, and we will exult! And we will rejoice in His salvation, 10 for the hand of Yahweh will rest in this mountain. And threshed is Moab under Him as crushed straw is threshed by a threshing sledge." 11 And He spreads forth His hands within it, as the swimmer is spreading his hands to swim, and He abases its pride with the ambushes of His hands, 12 and the impregnable fortress of your walls He prostrates. He lays it low. It attains to the earth, unto the soil."
BBE(i) 1 O Lord, you are my God; I will give praise to you, I will give honour to your name; for you have done great acts of power; your purposes in the past have been made true and certain in effect. 2 For you have made a town a waste place: a strong town a mass of broken walls; the tower of the men of pride has come to an end; it will never be put up again. 3 For this cause will the strong people give glory to you, the town of the cruel ones will be in fear of you. 4 For you have been a strong place for the poor and the crushed in their trouble, a safe place from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the wrath of the cruel ones is like a winter storm. 5 As heat by the shade of a cloud, the noise of the men of pride has been made quiet by you; as heat by the shade of a cloud, the song of the cruel ones has been stopped. 6 And in this mountain will the Lord of armies make for all peoples a feast of good things, a feast of wines long stored, of good things sweet to the taste, of wines long kept and tested. 7 And in this mountain he will put an end to the shade covering the face of all peoples, and the veil which is stretched over all nations. 8 He has put an end to death for ever; and the Lord God will take away all weeping; and he will put an end to the shame of his people in all the earth: for the Lord has said it. 9 And in that day it will be said, See, this is our God; we have been waiting for him, and he will be our saviour: this is the Lord in whom is our hope; we will be glad and have delight in his salvation. 10 For in this mountain will the hand of the Lord come to rest, and Moab will be crushed down in his place, even as the dry stems of the grain are crushed under foot in the waste place. 11 And if he puts out his hands, like a man stretching out his hands in swimming, the Lord will make low his pride, however expert his designs. 12 And the strong tower of your walls has been broken by him, made low, and crushed even to the dust.
MKJV(i) 1 O Jehovah, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will praise Your name; for You have done a wonder; Counsels from afar; faithful faithfulness. 2 For You have made a heap from a city; a fortified city into a ruin; a citadel of foreigners to be no city; it shall never be built. 3 Therefore the strong people glorify You, the city of the fearful nations shall fear You. 4 For You are a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the fearful ones is like a storm against the wall. 5 You shall bring down the noise of foreigners, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of cloud. The shouting of the terrifying ones shall be brought low. 6 And in this mountain Jehovah of Hosts shall make a feast of fat things for all the people, a feast of wine on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of refined wine on the lees. 7 And He will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering which covers all people, and the veil that is woven over all nations. 8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord Jehovah will wipe away tears from all faces. And He shall take away from all the earth the rebuke of His people. For Jehovah has spoken. 9 And one shall say in that day, Lo, this is our God. We have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is Jehovah; we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation. 10 For the hand of Jehovah shall rest in this mountain, and Moab shall be trampled under Him, even as straw is trampled in the water of a dung pit. 11 And He shall spread out His hands in their midst, as he who swims strokes to swim. And He shall bring down their pride with the skill of His hands. 12 And the fortress of the high fort of your walls He will lay low, bring to the ground, to the dust.
LITV(i) 1 O Jehovah, You are my God. I will exalt You; I will thank Your name; for You have done a wonderful thing: counsels from afar; faithful faithfulness. 2 Because You have made a heap from a city, a fortified city into a ruin; a citadel of foreigners not to be a city, not to be built, to forever. 3 For this the mighty people glorify You, the city of the ruthless nations shall fear You. 4 For You are a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a refuge from storm, a shadow from heat; because the breath of the ruthless is like a storm against a wall. 5 You shall lay low the noise of foreigners, like the heat in a dry place, the heat with the shadow of cloud; the shouting of the terrifying ones shall be laid low. 6 And Jehovah of Hosts shall make a feast of fat things for all the peoples in this mountain; a feast of wine on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, refined wine on the lees. 7 And He will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering which covers all people, and the veil that is woven over all nations. 8 He will swallow up death in victory! And the Lord Jehovah will wipe away tears from all faces. And He shall reprove the reproach of His people from all the earth; for Jehovah has spoken 9 And one shall say in that day, Behold, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is Jehovah; we have waited for Him; we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation. 10 For the hand of Jehovah shall rest in this mountain; and Moab shall be trampled under Him, even as straw is trampled in the water of a dung pit. 11 And He shall spread His hands in his midst, as he who swims strokes to swim. And He shall lay low his pride with the skill of His hands. 12 And He shall bow down the fortress of the height of your walls; He will lay low, touch to the earth, even to the dust.

THE EXALTMENT OF SPREAD HANDS
O Yah Veh, you my Elohim; I exalt you: I spread hands to your name: for you worked marvels; your counsels of the distant past are trustworthiness and amen. 2 For of a city, you set a heap; of a fortified city, a ruin; a citadel of strangers, no city - not built eternally. 3 So a strong people honors you the city of the tyrant goyim fears you: 4 for you are a stronghold to the poor; a strength to the needy in his tribulation; a refuge from the flood; a shadow from the parchedness when the wind of the tyrants is as a flood against the wall. 5 You subdue the uproar of strangers as the parchedness in a parch; the heat with the shadow of a thick cloud: the branch of the tyrants answer. 6 And in this mountain Yah Veh Sabaoth works to all people a banquet of oil, a banquet of dregs, of marrowed oil, of filtered dregs. 7 And in this mountain he swallows the face of the veil veiled over all people, and the veil spread over all goyim. 8 He swallows death in perpetuity; and Adonay Yah Veh wipes away tears from off all faces; and turns aside the rebuke of his people from off all the earth - for Yah Veh has worded. 9 And in that day, it is said, Behold, this our Elohim; we awaited him and he saves us: this is Yah Veh; we awaited him; we twirl and cheer in his salvation. 10 For in this mountain the hand of Yah Veh rests; and Moab is threshed under him even as straw is threshed in the water of the dunghill: 11 and he spreads his hands in their midst as the swimmer spreading to swim: and he abases their pomp together with the lurkings of their hands. 12 And he prostrates the fortress of the secure loft of your walls lower - touches to the earth - to the dust.

It shall never be built. 3 Therefore a strong people shall glorify thee, a city of oppressive nations shall fear thee. 4 For thou have been a stronghold to a poor man, a stronghold to a needy man in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the blast of the oppressors is as a storm against the wall. 5 As the heat in a dry place thou will bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat by the shade of a cloud, the song of the oppressors shall be brought low. 6 And in this mountain LORD of hosts will make to all peoples a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the dregs, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the dregs well refined. 7 And he will destroy on this mountain the face of the covering that covers all peoples, and the veil that is spread over all nations. 8 He will swallow up death in victory, and the lord LORD will wipe away tears from off all faces.   6 H2088 And in this H2022 mountain H3068 shall the LORD H6635 of hosts H6213 make H3605 to all H5971 people H4960 a feast H8081 of fat H4960 things, a feast H8105 of wines H8105 on the lees, H8081 of fat H4229 things full of marrow, H8105 of wines H8105 on the lees H2212 well refined.
7 H1104 And he will destroy H2088 in this H2022 mountain H6440 the face H3875 of the covering H3874 cast H5921 over H3605 all H5971 people, H4541 and the veil H5259 that is spread H5921 over H3605 all H1471 nations.
8 H1104 He will swallow H4194 up death H5331 in victory; H136 and the Lord H3069 GOD H4229 will wipe H1832 away tears H5921 from off H3605 all H6440 faces; H2781 and the rebuke H5971 of his people H5493 shall he take H5493 away H5921 from off H3605 all H776 the earth: H3068 for the LORD H1696 has spoken it.
9 H559 And it shall be said H3117 in that day, H2009 See, H2088 this H430 is our God; H6960 we have waited H3467 for him, and he will save H2088 us: this H3068 is the LORD; H6960 we have waited H1523 for him, we will be glad H8055 and rejoice H3444 in his salvation.
10 H2088 For in this H2022 mountain H3027 shall the hand H3068 of the LORD H5117 rest, H4124 and Moab H1758 shall be trodden H8478 down under H4963 him, even as straw H1758 is trodden H4087 down for the dunghill.
11 H6566 And he shall spread H3027 forth his hands H7130 in the middle H7811 of them, as he that swims H6566 spreads H7811 forth his hands to swim: H8213 and he shall bring H8213 down H1346 their pride H698 together with the spoils H3027 of their hands.
12 H4013 And the fortress H4869 of the high H4869 fort H2346 of your walls H7817 shall he bring H7817 down, H8213 lay low, H5060 and bring H776 to the ground, H6083 even to the dust.

EJ2000(i) 1 ¶ O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee; I will praise thy name for thou hast done wonders, the counsels of old, the truth unchanging. 2 That thou hast turned the city into a heap; the defenced city into a ruin: the palace of strangers to not be a city; it shall never be rebuilt. 3 Therefore the strong people shall glorify thee; the city of the strong Gentiles shall fear thee. 4 For thou hast been strength to the poor, strength to the needy in his distress, refuge from the storm, shadow from the heat, for the force of the violent is as a storm against the wall. 5 As the heat in a dry place, thou shalt bring down the pride of the strangers; even as with heat that burns beneath a cloud, thou shalt cause the offshoot of the stout ones to wither. 6 ¶ And in this mountain the LORD of the hosts shall make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of purified wines, of fat things full of marrow, of purified liquids. 7 And he will undo in this mountain the mask of the covering with which all the peoples are covered and the veil that is extended over all the Gentiles. 8 He will destroy death forever; and the Lord GOD shall wipe away every tear from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people he shall take away from off all the earth: for the LORD has determined it. 9 ¶ And it shall be said in that day, Behold, this is our God, whom we have waited for, and he has saved us: this is the LORD, whom we have waited for, we will be glad and rejoice in his saving health. 10 For in this mountain the hand of the LORD shall rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill. 11 And he shall extend his hand in the midst of him as he that swims spreads forth his hand to swim: and he shall bring down his pride with the members of his hands 12 and lay siege to the fortress of thy high walls; he shall humble it and bring it down to the ground, even to the dust.
CAB(i) 1 O Lord God, I will glorify You, I will sing to Your name; for You have done wonderful things, even an ancient and faithful counsel. Amen. 2 For You have made cities a heap, even cities made strong that their foundations should not fall; the city of ungodly men shall not be built forever. 3 Therefore shall the poor people bless You, and cities of injured men shall bless You. 4 For You have been a helper to every lowly city, and a shelter to them that were disheartened by reason of poverty; You shall deliver them from wicked men; You have been a shelter for them that thirst, and a refreshing air to injured men. 5 We were as faint-hearted men thirsting in Zion, by reason of ungodly men to whom You delivered us. 6 And the Lord of hosts shall make a feast for all the nations; on this mount they shall drink gladness, they shall drink wine; 7 they shall anoint themselves with ointment in this mountain. Impart all these things to the nations; for this is God's counsel upon all the nations. 8 Death has prevailed and swallowed men up; but again the Lord God has taken away every tear from every face. He has taken away the reproach of His people from all the earth; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it. 9 And in that day they shall say, behold our God in whom we have trusted, and He shall save us; this is the Lord; we have waited for Him, and we have exalted, and will rejoice in our salvation. 10 God will give rest on this mountain, and the country of Moab shall be trodden down, as they tread the floor with wagons. 11 And He shall spread forth His hands, even as He also brings down man to destroy him; and He shall bring low his pride regarding that in which he has laid his hands. 12 And He shall bring down the height of the refuge of the wall, and it shall come down, even to the ground.

NSB(i) 1 O Jehovah, you are my God. I will exalt you and I will praise your name! You have done wonderful things with plans formed of old. You are faithful and true. 2 You have made the city a heap, the mighty city a ruin. The palace of aliens is a city no more. It will never be rebuilt. 3 Therefore strong peoples will glorify you. Cities of ruthless nations will fear you. 4 You have been a refuge to the poor, a refuge to the needy in their distress, a shelter from the rainstorm and a shade from the heat. When the blast of the ruthless was like a winter rainstorm, 5 the noise of strangers like heat in a dry place, you subdued the heat with the shade of clouds; the song of the ruthless was stilled. 6 On this mountain Jehovah of Hosts will make a feast of rich food for all peoples, a feast of well-aged wines, of rich food filled with marrow, of well-aged wines strained clear of dregs. 7 On this mountain He will destroy the shroud that is cast over all peoples, the sheet that is spread over all nations. 8 He will swallow up death forever! The Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces. He will take away the disgrace of His people from the earth. Jehovah has spoken! 9 On that day his people will say: »This is our God! We have waited for Him and now He will save us. This is Jehovah. We have waited for Him. Let us rejoice and be glad because He will save us.« 10 Jehovah’s power will be on this mountain. Moab will be trampled beneath him like straw that is trampled in a pile of manure. 11 The Moabites will stretch out their hands in the manure like swimmers who stretch out their hands to swim. Jehovah will humble those arrogant people despite the movements of their hands. 12 He will bring down Moab's high-fortified walls, level them, and throw them into the dust on the ground.
ISV(i) 1 Praise to the Victorious God LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for you have done marvelous things, plans made long ago in faithfulness and truth. 2 For you have made the city a heap of rubble, the fortified city into a ruin; the foreigners’ citadel is no longer a city— it will never be rebuilt! 3 Therefore strong peoples will glorify you; cities of ruthless nations will revere you. 4 For you have been a stronghold for the poor, a stronghold for the needy in distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat— for the blistering attack from the ruthless is like a rainstorm beating against a wall, 5 and the noise of foreigners is like the heat of the desert. Just as you subdue heat by the shade of clouds, so the victory songs of violent men will be stilled.
6 Celebration of the Righteous“On this mountain, the LORD of the Heavenly Armies will prepare for all peoples a banquet of rich food, a banquet of well-aged wines— rich food full of marrow, and refined wines of the finest vintage 7 And on this mountain, he will swallow up the burial shroud that enfolds all peoples, the veil that is spread over all nations— 8 he has swallowed up death forever! Then the Lord GOD will wipe away the tears from all faces, and he will take away the disgrace of his people from the entire earth.” for the LORD has spoken. 9 “And you will say at that time, ‘Look! It’s the LORD! This is our God! We waited for him, and he saved us. This is the LORD! We waited for him, so let us rejoice, and we will be glad that he has saved us.”
10 The Misery of MoabFor the LORD’s power will rest on this mountain, but the Moabites will be trodden down beneath him, just as straw is trodden down in the slime of a manure pit. 11 They will spread out their hands in the thick of it, just as swimmers spread out their hands to swim, but the LORD will bring down their pride, together with the cleverness of their hands. 12 He brings down the high fortifications of your walls and lays them low; he will raze them to the ground, right down to the dust.

DSV(i) 1 HEERE!

RST(i) 1 Господи!

12 Visoku tvrđu tvojih zidina on razvaljuje, na zemlju baca, u prah ruši.
6 I učiní Hospodin zástupů všechněm národům na hoře této hody z věcí tučných, hody z vína vystálého, z věcí tučných, mozk v sobě majících, z vína vystálého a učištěného.

Esperanto(i) 1 Ho Eternulo, Vi estas mia Dio; mi gloros Vin, mi lauxdos Vian nomon; cxar Vi faris miraklon; decidoj antikvaj farigxis efektivajxoj kaj verajxoj.
4 Sillä sinä olit turvana vaivaiselle, turvana köyhälle hänen ahdingossansa, suojana rankkasateelta, varjona helteeltä; sillä väkivaltaisten kiukku on kuin rankkasade seinää vastaan. 5 Niinkuin helteen kuivassa maassa, niin sinä vaimensit muukalaisten melun. Niinkuin helle pilven varjossa vaipuu väkivaltaisten voittolaulu. Sillä Herra on puhunut.
Sitadèl lènmi yo te bati a disparèt. Yo p'ap janm ka rebati l' ankò. Lè mechan yo move, yo tankou gwo lapli loraj k'ap tonbe nan tan fredi. 5 Yo tankou gwo solèy k'ap boule yon tè sèk. Men, Seyè, ou kase fe lènmi nou yo. Li delivre nou! Se li menm ki Seyè a! Nou te mete konfyans nou nan li. Ann fè kè nou kontan. Ann fè fèt, paske li delivre nou. 10 Seyè a ap pwoteje mòn Siyon an. Men, l'ap pilonnen moun peyi Moab yo anba pye l', menm jan yo pilonnen pay nan labou pak bèt. 11 Nan mitan labou a, y'a lonje bra yo tankou si yo ta vle naje soti. Men Seyè a pral kraze lògèy yo, l'ap defèt tou sa yo te fè ak men yo. 12 L'ap kraze gwo ranpa byen wo yo te bati sou miray yo, l'ap jete yo plat atè, l'ap fè yo tounen pousyè.
Hungarian(i) 1 Uram, te vagy Istenem, magasztallak, dícsérem nevedet!
Indonesian(i) 1 TUHAN, Engkaulah Allahku, kuagungkan Engkau dan kupuji nama-Mu.

Lithuanian(i) 1 Viešpatie, Tu esi mano Dievas, aš aukštinsiu Tave ir girsiu Tavo vardą, nes Tu padarei nuostabių dalykų, ištikimai įvykdei, ką seniai buvai pažadėjęs.
PBG(i) 1 Panie! tyś Bóg mój, wywyższać cię będę i wysławiać będę imię twoje, boś uczynił rzeczy dziwne; rady twe, z dawna postanowione, są wierną prawdą. 8 Połknie śmierć w zwycięstwie, a Pan panujący otrze łzę z każdego oblicza, i pohańbienie ludu swego odejmie ze wszystkiej ziemi; bo Pan mówił. 9 I rzecze dnia onego lud Pański: Oto Bóg nasz ten jest; oczekiwaliśmy go, i wybawił nas.
Norwegian(i) 1 Herre, du er min Gud; jeg vil ophøie dig, jeg vil prise ditt navn, for du har gjort underverk; dine råd fra gammel tid er sannhet og trofasthet. 2 For du har gjort en by til en stenhaug, en fast by til en grusdynge, du har ødelagt de fremmedes palasser, så det ikke mere er nogen by; de skal aldri mere bygges op igjen. 3 Derfor skal et sterkt folk ære dig, de ville hedningers stad skal frykte dig; 4 for du har vært et vern for den ringe, et vern for den fattige i hans trengsel, et ly mot regnskyll, en skygge mot hete; for voldsmenns fnysen er som regnskyll mot en vegg. 5 Som du demper hete i tørt land, så demper du de fremmedes bulder; som hete ved skyggen av en sky, så dempes voldsmenns sang. 6 Og Herren, hærskarenes Gud, skal på dette fjell gjøre et gjestebud for alle folk, et gjestebud med fete retter, et gjestebud med gammel vin, med fete, margfulle retter, med klaret gammel vin. 7 Og han skal på dette fjell tilintetgjøre det slør som omslører alle folkene, og det dekke som dekker alle hedningefolkene. 8 Han skal opsluke døden for evig, og Herren, Israels Gud, skal tørke gråten av alle ansikter, og sitt folks vanære skal han ta bort fra hele jorden; for Herren har talt. 9 På den tid skal de si: Se, der er vår Gud, han som vi ventet skulde frelse oss, dette er Herren som vi ventet på; la oss fryde og glede oss i hans frelse! 10 For Herrens hånd skal hvile på dette fjell; men Moab skal tredes ned i sitt eget land, likesom halm tredes ned i gjødselvann. 11 Og Moab skal brede ut sine hender der, likesom svømmeren breder ut sine hender for å svømme; men Herren skal kue dets stolthet til tross for dets henders kunstgrep. 12 Og dine* murers høie festning skal han rive ned, omstyrte, jevne med jorden, så den ligger i støvet. / {* nemlig Moabs.}
Romanian(i) 1 ,,Doamne, Tu eşti Dumnezeul meu; pe Tine Te voi înălţa!
